Beach left-bank coastal passage at 5 7. Better late than never: Eight Moscow beaches. Big City Pond

On hot summer days, it is vital for everyone to somehow cool down. Swimming is a great way to do this. Of course, it is best to go on vacation somewhere to the sea and enjoy clean and gentle water there. You can go out of town, for example, to your dacha or village, and joyfully splash around in the local reservoir.

But what about those residents of the city of Moscow who do not have the opportunity to escape from the capital in the summer and comprehend all the delights of water entertainment? Fortunately, they were also lucky, because there are several places in the capital where swimming is officially allowed in the summer. One of them is the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow), located near the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station.

Swimming in Moscow in summer: is it possible?

Surely, many residents of such a large metropolis as Moscow often wonder if it is even possible to swim in local reservoirs. Still, we live in a big city with a huge number of cars and a rather polluted environment.

However, not everything is so bad in the capital of Russia, and you can find a place in it where you can swim safely for your health in the summer months. Every year, Rospotrebnadzor checks all this research and a variety of other aspects and become the criteria on the basis of which a list of beaches is compiled where you can not only sunbathe, but also swim.

Before the start of the swimming season in Moscow, which usually starts on June 1, a list of permitted beaches is published in various media, so every resident of the metropolis can freely learn about them.

What are the requirements for swimming pools?

What must be on the beach to be recognized as suitable for swimming? Firstly, it is high-quality water in the place where it is located. The reservoir must be suitable for swimming and comply with all microbiological and sanitary-chemical standards. This is what Rospotrebnadzor establishes through laboratory research. It also checks the sand available on the beach, play areas dedicated specifically for children, and

In order for the beach area to meet all the necessary requirements, all last year's sand must be removed from it. The reservoir must be cleared of foreign debris, and its disinsection is also carried out. The entire beach area must be cleaned, toilets cleaned.

It is obligatory to conduct an examination by divers working in the Moscow City Search and Rescue Service. They conduct an initial survey of the water, then, and finally, a second survey when the swimming season is already open.

In places of mass bathing, there should be no whirlpools, fast currents and groundwater outlets to the surface. On the shore there should be signs with the inscription "Place for swimming", and in the water the border of a suitable place for swimming is indicated by orange buoys. They should be located at a distance of up to 25 meters from those places where the depth is 1.3 meters or more, and the intervals between them should be 25-30 meters.

Racks with life buoys and cords are installed every 50 meters of the beach. From the edge of the water, they should be removed no more than 5 meters. Of course, rescue booths and medical stations should be present.

Permitted bathing places in the capital

By the beginning of the swimming season in 2016, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the city of Moscow declared only 12 reservoirs suitable for swimming, but as many as 47 beaches were named where you can relax without swimming. It was noted that in 2015 there were the same number of places for swimming, so you can count on the fact that in 2017 there will be no less of them, and maybe even more.

The list of vacation spots where it is possible to cool off in a local reservoir includes:

  • beach "Levoberezhny" (Moscow);
  • three beaches in Serebryany Bor;
  • beach complex "Beach Club";
  • large garden pond;
  • three places in a large city pond and Black Lake;
  • lake Beloe;
  • Meshcherskoe;
  • Troparevo.

Beach in the north of Moscow

Organized recreation areas, where you can safely swim in the summer, are located in different parts of Moscow, and even in Zelenograd. In the very north of the city there is the Levoberezhny beach, reviews of which claim that this place is perfect for family and youth recreation both on a hot day and at any time of the year.

In general, this beach appeared here back in the 50s of the last century, so the indigenous people of the area have been coming here for many years to swim. When the swimming season is not yet open, people come here to cook barbecue, sit with friends and just enjoy nature by the water and take a walk in a pleasant place.

The Levoberezhny beach in Moscow (Russia) is quite well equipped. For those who come here by car, there is free parking, designed, however, for a small number of places. There is also a parking lot for bicycles equipped with special places. guests will always be able to leave it nearby by their own transport. However, on a hot day it is very difficult to find a free parking space for a car for those who decide to visit the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow). Not only residents of the nearest areas know how to get here , so there are a lot of people who want to visit this place in the summer.

The beach is located in a small bay. Due to the fact that various vessels do not pass through it, which often ply along the canal, it is quite clean here and even warms up almost to the bottom. However, approximately in the middle of the bay there are cold springs, which are better not to fall into, otherwise it can bring your legs together.

Since the beach was formed thanks to a quarry that was used to build a canal, the sand on it is local and quite large. Sometimes stones can be caught, so you should be very careful when walking barefoot. The bottom is also sandy, the entrance to the water is neat and gentle. The beach also has a special place for children to swim.

Beach improvement

Since in 2015 the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow) was under the jurisdiction of the Moscow State Agrarian Institution "Northern Tushino Museum and Park Complex", large-scale reconstruction and landscaping work has begun here.

What is on the beach for vacationers

Today, guests of this place are waiting for benches for relaxation, pretty gazebos, all kinds of bridges and ladders, neat paths. A whole sports zone has been created for those who are fond of sports, where there are various simulators and a special fenced area where you can play volleyball. For children, there is a whole play town with various slides, swings and a sandbox.

Lifeguards and a medical service work on the beach, there are special changing cabins, a shower and a toilet. Those guests who are hungry during their stay here can have a bite to eat in the cafe available here.

How to find the beach "Levoberezhny"

Having learned about such a wonderful place, many residents of the city, who for some reason did not suspect of its existence, will definitely want to visit the "Left Bank" beach (Moscow). How to get to it? This question will certainly occupy their thoughts, so it is necessary to give an answer to it as soon as possible.

The beach is located within the city on the left bank of the Moscow Canal, not far from the place where the Moscow Ring Road intersects with the Leningrad Highway. The easiest way to get here is from the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station. To do this, you need to take a bus number 138, 958 or 270 or a minibus 138m or 701m. You need to get off at the "Internat" stop, from which you have to walk about 600 meters.

From the metro station "Planernaya" it takes longer to go. You will need a bus number 173 or a minibus 176m, which will bring citizens to the stop "Pribrezhny passage, house 7". From there you will have to walk about a kilometer. The Khovrino railway station is also located nearby. From here you can also get to the beach if you take a bus going towards the reservoir.

Impressions of the guests of the beach

A lot of residents of the capital go to relax on the beach "Levoberezhny" (Moscow). Reviews about this place are more positive. People like how everything is improved here. Free toilets and the presence of a cafe are very pleasing to vacationers. However, some do not have enough umbrellas from the sun and sunbeds, which are not available here.

It is disappointing for many that on the hottest days there are a lot of people here. But this is understandable, because everyone wants to swim. It is also embarrassing that power lines pass very close by. Most likely, this place will not be very popular with those who want to relax in silence. After all, music plays quite loudly in the cafe, so you won’t forget about extraneous sounds on the beach.

We have chosen 10 places where you can swim and sunbathe, for every taste and budget!

To begin with, let's go over the places where you can sunbathe without additional costs for renting sunbeds, there is no entry fee to the beach.

Another favorite vacation spot Gorky Park offers a large selection of areas for lovers of sunbathing. At the entrance to the park on a green lawn, you can find giant pillows of bright orange color. If you go deeper, in front of the summer cinema "Pioneer" there are beautiful swinging sun loungers for two. And on wooden deck chairs you can sunbathe right on the pond or on the banks of the Moskva River, the reference point for you will be the Olive Beach. A soft sunbed is provided for the entrance fee. But next door there is a well-equipped shower area, and even with free entry. Here you can sunbathe on a personal towel and a wooden terrace in the form of steps. Swimming is prohibited here.

Address: pos. Kosino, st. Zaozernaya. You can get there: from the Vykhino metro station by any minibus.

Another lake is Meshcherskoe, which is in the southwest of the capital. The beach here is small, but sandy, swimming is allowed, but, in our opinion, not clean enough.
Address: st. Voskresenskaya, 5. From the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station, bus number 66, the stop is the final one.

For residents of the south of Moscow there are wonderful Borisov Ponds. Here you can sunbathe, there is a well-groomed sandy beach with free entry, but without the possibility of swimming.

Atmosphere on the renovated beach Monterosso Beach very cheerful and not at all Moscow. White sand, bright sofas, green lawns and potted flowers everywhere. For noisy companies - karaoke, a restaurant and a bar with a dance floor.
Address: st. Marshal Katukov. Metro: Strogino, Schukinskaya.

st. Tamanskaya, 2nd and 4th lines of Khoroshevsky Serebryany Bor

The forest area on the banks of the Moskva River boasts three beach areas separated from each other at once. True, only two of them - beaches No. 2 and No. 3 - are allowed to swim. The local infrastructure can not boast of integrity, but still it is. For instance, for 500 rubles a day you can rent a sun lounger, a for 300 rubles per hour to give your child into the safe hands of the playground workers. It is generally accepted that "Bor-2" is more suitable for families, while "Bor-3" is an ideal place for young people. However, there is no big difference between the public and the range of services provided on both beaches. And here and there for a fee of 100 to 300 rubles per hour, you can play table tennis, checkers, chess, backgammon, badminton, beach volleyball and even billiards. Barbecue grills, music from mobile phones and companies drinking draft beer from plastic cups are included.

Biking is the fastest way to get to Serebryany Bor, because a car requires a special pass. There is also a trolleybus from the Oktyabrskoye Pole station. It has a final stop near the entrance to the recreational area. So, the beach itself. Quite wide, with a gentle slope into the water. There is a paid one, with sun loungers and a lounge. I usually stay in the free zone. There is a playground with good sand, where tanned men play volleyball. There is a minimal beach bar. Mostly residents of nearby areas come here. Sunbathe and then have a picnic. Usually the audience is quite intelligent. Unlike, for example, from the beach in Pirogovo, they do not turn on the speakers with their playlist, but peacefully leaf through the tablet, not forgetting to turn over and rub the back of their girlfriend with Lancaster cream.

Water, by the way, is almost always clean in all samples. Because this is the upper reaches of the Moscow River. But be careful, do not swim in the middle of the river: boats with water skiers periodically rush through there.

City beaches began to look more attractive: there are no traffic jams around, and the warm weather, according to forecasters, will last in the city for at least another two weeks.

True, the number of permitted swimming areas is decreasing all the time, as is everything permitted. At the beginning of summer, Rospotrebnadzor recognized ten reservoirs suitable for swimming, by mid-summer there were already eight. It ended up that by the beginning of August, only three reservoirs met the requirements of the inspection authorities in Moscow: Serebryany Bor - 2, Serebryany Bor - 3 and the Meshcherskoye recreation area (at all the others, meanwhile, you can still play beach volleyball and picnics). The Village correspondent Varvara Gerneza visited Moscow beaches to find out what is happening there now.
