Hello everyone. I rested at the Palm Hotel with my husband in April of this year. The territory is gorgeous. Beautiful hotel with fish to feed! There are two swimming pools - large, clean. The beach is across the road from the bungalow. Everything is very close and pleasant. The sea is a bit cold though. We've seen it warmer. But not critical. The beach is clean, spacious and beautiful. There are few people. The rooms are comfortable, everything you need was there. The main advantage of the hotel, in my opinion, is dinner. Be sure to take it. We have been to many places, and the Maldives saw Sri Lanka, but I have not seen such an abundance anywhere else. Basically, this applies to seafood - shrimp, squid, oysters, crabs, all kinds of fish. Everything is delicious and plentiful. By the way, a nice amazing bonus from the hotel - beer at dinner for free. And other drinks too. Near the hotel there is a shop where you can buy a snack and drink and drink. Everything is very inexpensive.

We are resting in China, in Sanya for the third time. This time we chose the Palm Beach Hotel. We got a room on the third floor, with an excellent and spacious balcony-terrace overlooking the pool and palm trees, which suited us just fine. The hotel has two swimming pools. One is shallow, the other is deep. The water does not smell like chlorine. The lighting of the pools worked until 21.00, and we calmly swam after 18.00, when no one was there. The hotel beach is wonderful, there were enough sunbeds. There is a volleyball net. Liked the breakfasts very much. Nothing fancy, but there was always porridge, Vietnamese soup, eggs, fruit and sandwich sets. There were also hot dishes. Always three types of fresh juices and great Vietnamese coffee! Hotel service is top notch. Room cleaning every day. The only reason I give the hotel a rating of 8 is the absence of any bar or cafe on the territory. For those who do not expect VIP service and are not ready to overpay for an additional service. For those who want to take a break from the bustle of the city, sunbathe, swim and just sleep on a deck chair by the sea. I rested with my wife in early September 2014. I arrived at lunchtime, they settled quickly. The area is very, very clean. We spent a little over a week at this hotel. We went on almost all excursions. There are no complaints about feeding. The rooms are quite tolerable, the windows looked out onto the inner garden. In general, if you like excursions and do not intend to lie for days on the beach or near the pool, then this hotel is for you! In our article, we want to talk about Spa Sanya, which is located on the territory of the best resort in the Middle Kingdom. Hainan Island is considered the best Chinese health resort, it is also called Eastern Hawaii. Once upon a time, the island was a place of exile for nobles. And now tourists all over the world have heard about this paradise in the South China Sea. Residents of the Far East and Siberia have long been recovering here, curing ailments, and at the same time basking in the warm sun and clear sea water.

I would like to note that (Sanya) 5 * (we will give guest reviews later in the article) previously really had the status of a five-star complex, apparently, there were reasons for that. Currently, the hotel has the fourth category. According to the guests of the hotel, the rooms require renovation and updating of furniture. Unfortunately, not everyone is satisfied with the quality of work and the appearance of plumbing. Very often there are cases when tourists encounter breakdowns immediately after settling in, so they ask to be relocated to the best apartments. The administration willingly agrees, but it is very difficult to find a room in the best condition. Our compatriots, as a rule, are settled in small three-story houses called bungalows. The main multi-storey building is occupied by Chinese vacationers themselves.

This is not to say that the rooms are completely bad, but they require cosmetic repairs. But regarding plumbing, hotel guests unanimously express negative reviews.

For some reason, most of the rooms in the complex are equipped with single beds, so it is quite difficult to find rooms with double furniture. A similar problem can be solved independently by moving the beds, if the situation allows it.

Location of the complex and its territory

Palm Beach Resort Spa (Sanya) has a good location. The beach of the complex is just a three minute walk. The distance from Sanya Phoenix International Airport is no more than ten kilometers. But to the railway station - fifteen kilometers. The complex offers free parking.

On the coast, active tourists can always go in for water sports, try out new hobbies. There are all conditions for this.

On the third floor of the main building there is a medical center, the services of which can be used for a fee.

Near the territory of Palm (Sanya) there is a cemetery. Currently, it is not operating, and from afar it resembles a square. However, not all vacationers like this neighborhood. Still, people come to relax and escape from problems.

Sea beach

Palm Beach (Sanya) has its own beach. In general, the location of the complex is its highlight, since not every hotel is located on the first line. A small inconvenience is that you need to cross the road to get to the shore, but this is not so difficult. The beach of the hotel is sandy, there are never waves on the sea. Umbrellas and sun loungers on the coast are completely free.

Speaking about the Palm Beach Resort Spa (Sanya), reviews of which, by the way, are rather contradictory, it is worth noting the presence of small midges on the shore. According to vacationers, insects live in the grass on the beach and behave quite aggressively, which is why a lot of bites appear on the bodies of tourists. Unfortunately, no local creams affect midges at all, it is impossible to get rid of it. Apparently, there are periods when insects appear and then disappear somewhere. The rest of the coast is very clean and beautiful. The water is warm and clear.

There are always a lot of fishermen on the shore waiting for their catch. Swimming in the sea, you can see flocks of shrimp, small fish, squid. There are also small jellyfish in the water, but they are not fearful, because they do not sting at all.

And you can have a good and inexpensive meal in local cafes, of which there are many in the vicinity of the hotel. The food there is quite normal and tasty, so you can safely use it. Due to the fact that the resort is located near the sea, a lot of seafood dishes are prepared in all establishments. This is definitely worth taking advantage of. Tourists are advised to pay more attention to the choice of dishes, since the Chinese cook all sorts of marine reptiles that we are not used to eating. In the variety of local food, it is quite possible to choose something to your taste.

The hotel serves European, Chinese and seafood dishes for breakfast. If you do not like local food, then you can choose more acceptable options for yourself. Some tourists find that the morning meal is very monotonous, while others emphasize that they are quite satisfied with the food. Apparently it comes down to individual preference.

The standard breakfast at the hotel includes: sausages, duck (cooked according to a local recipe), vegetables, fruits, meat dishes, porridge, yogurt.

In general, vacationers are satisfied with the food. It's great that the Chinese carefully prepare not only their traditional dishes, but also European ones, since not all guests can master the local gastronomic delights. Still, European food is more familiar to our compatriots.

Quality of service

The Chinese are very interesting people. They are very sensitive to smiles and kindness. It is for this reason that they treat those guests who do not show aggressiveness better. This point is worth considering. Unfortunately, a place like Palm Beach Resort Spa (Sanya, China) only has Chinese-speaking staff. But this is not a problem of the hotel, but rather, local customs. In China, it is not customary to use English at all. However, our compatriots do not have problems in communication, because among the staff of the complex there are people who perfectly understand the Russian language.

By the way, in China quite a lot of local people speak and understand our language.

Check-in at the hotel is fast. In general the service is very good. Apart from the fact that the rooms should have been renovated a long time ago, then the Palm Beach Resort Spa (Sanya), reviews of which we analyze, is quite a decent place to relax. The staff cleans the rooms daily and changes the towels. It is very nice that the apartments have special beach sets: bags with towels. It is very convenient and practical.

As for food, only breakfasts were included in the price of the tour, at breakfast we ate our fill, but the taste of some food is specific. There were fruits, and pastries, and vegetables, and meat, everything was enough. Only non-natural juices: (The hotel area was cleaned, at the request they brought to our room for free a knife (to peel fruits), and an iron, etc. We met local guides, went on excursions only with them, they are much cheaper! Have a great rest. I liked it very much. The guides are very good, responsive, it was very pleasant to communicate with them. I really liked the tours, they were very interesting. We went to a Buddhist park, I really liked it there. I really liked the hotel. The hotel is well located. The only negative in Chinese hotels there is no such food system as all inclusive, they have what is called breakfast in bed. Here is such a small minus. The hotel lacks entertainment, some kind of animation. It is well located, on the road, you can get into transport at any time and get to the center. Everything is very convenient. The food is varied, the food is good. Access to the sea is convenient. The beaches are good and clean.

April 2011 In my humble opinion, the hotel is 3*. The hotel has not been updated for a long time (faded, holey towels, broken dishes). - Location: far from Sanya (20-30 minutes by taxi, costs 30 yuan, i.e. 150 rubles one way). And you have to drive, because. problems with food. In a hotel expensive, the variety is small, besides, I don’t want to eat on dirty, sorry, tablecloths. We ate at the Russian restaurant "Marina" at the hotel (either by taxi for 10 yuan, or by free bus from the "Marina" itself at 6-7-8 hours, and you can walk back along the coast on foot). - Pegasus guides: terrible, they don't know anything, they don't know and they don't want to know. Although they receive a salary from our vouchers. The hotel lady Evgenia said to all our questions: "Well, how do I know, what are you asking about food / shopping / etc." In general, we learned about shopping in the nearby Yalunvan Bay (there is a Contraband store where you can buy branded items from Hong Kong at affordable prices) on the plane back. - Nature: tropics, palm trees, sand, the sea is clean, always warm. - Rooms: shabby. I had to pay 200 yuan for the broken ceiling, i.e. 1000 rub. - Staff: barely cleaned in the morning. We have breakfast on dirty tablecloths. We produce cutlery and napkins ourselves. - Funny: in the evening at the hotel buffet as a dessert they offer fried bread in different forms. Shame and nothing more. Tea only in bags (and this is in the homeland of tea!). - Plane: Tour operator Pegasus took us on a Boeing, obviously not designed for such long-haul flights (refueling in Pakistan, waiting 2 hours, plus people like herring in a barrel, round trip delay by 6 and 14 hours respectively). - Conclusions: China is not worth the money. But exotic, But nature, But still China. - Another thing: very expensive excursions from Pegasus, take in advance from local Russian-speaking Chinese. - They will scare you with a group visa and only everywhere with Pegasus, with Pegasus. Don't believe. - On a sightseeing and essentially free tour from Pegasus for $ 20 (this is only a paid type of lunch), we were fed in a shameful restaurant. - Choose for yourself, but keep in mind that the hotel is 3 *, and Pegasus service is 3 *.
