How to get to Chernomorets
Chernomorets is located 25 km from Burgas. The bus covers this route in 30-35 minutes, and by car even faster - about 20 minutes. Distance from Burgas airport - 35 km. A bus departs from the airport every half hour, going through Chernomorets to Sozopol. Ticket price: about 4 BGN. Prices on the page are for October 2018.

Beach
Chernomorets stands on a peninsula bordered by an arched sandy beach. It is not large in size to match the village. The coastline is only 30 m wide and 1.5 km long. The advantage of the beach is that it is shallow (20 m from the shore, the depth does not exceed 50-60 cm), and the water in it warms up very quickly with the onset of a new day. Thanks to this, the holiday season in Chernomorets opens in mid-May and lasts until October. The central beach is surrounded by small wild ones, strewn with small pebbles. True, you need to keep in mind that the descent to them is steeper, and the water is not much, but still cooler.
Entry to the beach is free, but there are also paid areas equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. Cost: 5 BGN.
Infrastructure and accommodation in Chernomorets
On the territory of the village there are many taverns, cafes, birariums (beer houses) and restaurants, where lunch or dinner will not cause serious damage to the budget. The temple was built, as they say, by the whole world, and its construction was completed in 1858. Pilgrims came here not only from all over Bulgaria, but also from abroad to venerate the shrine of the temple - the holy relics of Nicholas. In 1994, a terrible fire destroyed almost all the interior decoration, but many considered it a great miracle that the fire did not touch the wooden cross and the icon of St. Nicholas. Using voluntary donations from townspeople and residents of other regions of the country, the temple was restored in a very short time.
But in 2014, the world community was shocked by the terrible sacrilege. The temple was broken into, and the relics of St. Spyridon and St. Nicholas were stolen from it. In order to somehow calm the feelings of believers, the Italian city of Bari sent a reliquary with the myrrh of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church also helped. She donated the relics of eleven revered and respected saints in our country to the monastery.

There are not many tourists from Russia in Chernomorets. Bulgarians and residents of other Eastern European countries like to spend their holidays here.
