JSC "Metrovagonmash" delivered the third train from carriages model 81-760А / 761А / 763А with a through passage to the Moscow Metro. Note that the old cars will completely disappear from the metropolitan subway in 2019. We are talking about cars of the Ezh-3 brand. Despite the fact that the Yezh-3 cars are reliable and safe, they have been in operation for 30 years and have become obsolete by now. Now such cars have remained only on the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line. ...

It took the Tver Carriage Works less than a year to bring its latest development - the EG2Tv train - from layout to implementation. The maximum speed of this train is 160 kilometers per hour. And in the future, trains of this family will run even faster - up to 250 kilometers per hour. The EG2Tv electric train - the latest development of the Tver Carriage Works (TVZ) - was sent to Shcherbinka of the Moscow region, ...

A presentation of a new train by the Swiss company Stadler, purchased by Aeroexpress for the renewal of rolling stock, took place in Moscow today. The Eurasia train is a two-story electric train with all the amenities needed to travel to and from the airport. The trains will come in 4- and 6-car versions and will be coupled in different combinations depending on the passenger traffic. Welcome to the new train! 1. The presentation took place at the depot ...

Demikhovsky Machine-Building Plant (DMZ, part of CJSC Transmashholding) handed over to representatives of JSC Russian Railways the first two special electric trains EDS1R intended for transportation and organization of the work of repair teams serving the railway infrastructure. The contract for the supply of three EDS1R electric trains was signed in September 2014. According to the signed agreement, another train will be delivered to the customer by the end of this year. It is planned that EDS1R will be ...

Within the framework of the investment program of JSC "Russian Railways" over the past period of 2014, 7 new suburban electric trains of the ED4M series produced by the Demikhovsky Machine-Building Plant were delivered to the Moscow Railway. Of these, 5 were received by the Lobnya motor-car depot (it serves the electric trains of the Savelovsky and Belorussky directions) and 2 - the Nakhabino depot (the Riga direction). Each electric train consists of 11 cars. New commuter trains will replace obsolete electric trains. Modified model ...

Electric train “Lastochka” with number “001”, manufactured according to the technologies of the German concern Siemens, was released on Friday at the plant “Ural Locomotives” (Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region). “On this very day, according to the schedule, we were supposed to make the Swallow, and on June 6 it will go for testing in the Moscow region, at the Shcherbinka test site,” said Alexander Saltaev, general director of the plant. “Lastochka” was examined by representatives of the authorities and Russian Railways. Governor ...

After the destruction of the USSR, the following remained in the Russian Federation:
1.Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (NEVZ), which produced DC and AC freight electric locomotives of the VL8, VL10, VL11, VL15, VL22, VL23, VL60, VL80, VL85 series and the only two-system VL82.
2. Tver Carriage Works (TVZ), riveted passenger reserved seat cars, mail and baggage cars.
3. Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ), which produced only shunting diesel locomotives TEM2 and TEM15, refrigerated sections with machine cooling and electric heating.
4.Lyudinovo diesel locomotive plant (LTZ), which worked on the production of shunting diesel locomotives with hydro and power transmission, produced a line of specific trunk TG16 for the narrow gauge of Sakhalin.
5. Kolomna diesel locomotive plant named after V.V. Kuibyshev, the only plant in the USSR that produced purely passenger diesel locomotives TEP60 and TEP70.
6. Mytishchi Machine-Building Plant (Metrovagonmash), stamped cars for the subway.
7.Leningrad Order of the October Revolution and Order of the Red Star Carriage Works named after IE Egorova (now CJSC VAGONMASH), also made cars for the metro.

Behind the cordon were:
1.Flagman of the Soviet mainline diesel locomotive construction Voroshilovgrad plant named after October Revolution (Lugansk diesel locomotive plant), which produced absolutely all diesel locomotives for the railways of the USSR and the socialist abroad: 2TE10 in various modifications, 3TE10, 4TE10, 2TE116, M62, 2M62, TE121 ;
2. Riga Carriage Works (RVZ), which made absolutely all electric trains for all roads of the Union. Well-known to everyone series of ER-ok: ER1, ER2, ER9, ER22 and others. He also traded with diesel trains DR1. Nowhere in the USSR, except for Riga, was a multi-unit rolling stock made.
3. Tbilisi Electric Locomotive Plant (TEVZ), which produced electric freight locomotives from the components of the Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant.
4. With the collapse of the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA), Skoda practically rolled off the Russian track with all its passenger electric locomotives: ChS2, ChS2T, ChS4, ChS4T, ChS6, ChS7. ChS200. There was no production of passenger electric locomotives either in the USSR or in the Russian Federation, in its first years.
5. Roll off and happily died, after the disappearance of the GDR, the only manufacturer of excellent compartment cars for the USSR VEB Wagonbau Ammendorf. The coziest brown merchants that can still be seen on Russian Railways are his brainchildren.
6. Together with the Germans, the Poles, the plant them. Tsigelsky, who issued a reserved seat.
7. The Hungarians also turned their backs, with their diesel trains D1, from Ganz-MAVAG.
8. ČKD (Czech-Moravian Kolben-Danek) was left alone with its shunting diesel locomotive ČME3 and trams.

Perhaps the main thing is listed. We will not even count any Poltava diesel locomotive repair plants, Dnipropetrovsk car repair plants, Lviv locomotive repair plants, Daugavpils locomotive repair plants, Zaporizhzhya electric locomotive repair plants, Izium, Ivano-Frankivsk, Gaivoronsk ones. As you can see, the unified system of railway engineering and the provision of railways of the USSR (Russia) with rolling stock, which had been created for decades, was torn apart and destroyed. Russia was left with a big and fat horseradish.

Let's start with suburban transportation. This is a loss-making type of transport for Russian Railways, but a very socially significant type of transport. Designing, building and operating electric trains is not a lucrative business. And very costly. In the USSR, the state spent billions on organizing suburban transportation, selling tickets at symbolic prices.
Russian electric trains began to be produced, in fact, from scratch, in a market economy, in the hungry nineties.
It is now Demikhovsky machine-building plant is the head enterprise for the development and serial production of electric trains for suburban and regional communication of direct and alternating current, is the largest plant in Europe in terms of the number of electric train cars under construction.
Until the beginning of the nineties, all narrow-gauge turbidity was released there.
Let's refer to the database of the site Russian electric trains.
We'll also steal a photo from there. They do not mind.
The first-born, in 1993, was the ED2T-001 electric train.

A total of 77 such trains were built, including modifications ED2T - *** P and ED2T - *** G.
Several compositions were made for export. They were acquired by the Donetsk railway.
The only representative of the ED2 series was also built.
They also took temporary forced measures, from trailer cars and an AC electric locomotive VL80, for the Far Eastern Railway, they assembled four trains of the ED1 series.

The ED4 series marked the transition to the production of Russian electric trains with fully domestic equipment. In the previous series, Latvian components were also used.

Further, the shortcomings of the first train were taken into account, the ED4M series went, with a modified cabin.
Now these electric trains are well known throughout Russia. They look like this ED4M-0415 in the Crimean Federal District.

Approximately 634 ED4 (ED4M) trains were built. Why approximate: the database is very extensive, some trains were renamed, some were not built. There are very few of them, very few. I don't see any sense in looking for them in the arrays of information. The general picture is already clear.
Not so long ago, they began to use a more aerodynamic cabin.
The Central Suburban Passenger Company has moved away from the corporate colors of Russian Railways.
Her electric trains are already fully dissected in individual colors in Moscow and the Moscow region.

Also there you can see the ED4MKM - AERO, which have been working out for the last year.

7 trains were built. Soon they will be replaced by two-story ESH2 Swiss-Belarusian assembly from Stadler.
There was also one interesting "geek" ED4DK in the history of the plant. Has sunk into oblivion.

A couple of experimental ED4E compositions were also born.

Some kind of ED6 in a single copy has also degenerated. It became an educational museum exhibit.

Along with the large-scale distribution of the series of constant-current ED4M, an impressive series of ED9 (ED9T, ED9M) has become widespread on our lines electrified with alternating current.
About 340 trains. Outwardly, they are no different from ED4M.

Let's add 36 ED9E compositions to them.
We did some for Kazakhstan, for Suburban Transportation JSC.

In 2013, the production of two-car electric cars for service purposes EDS1R began. Two such carts have been built so far.

With the main lineup of DMZ finished. We write 1105 trains of electric trains into the account of the plant. Not all of them are for 10 - 12 wagons, there are also 8, 6 and 4 wagons.

They did not sit idle in Torzhok either. Torzhok Carriage Works rivets ET series.
The lead developer is ZAO TsNII TransElektroPribor located in St. Petersburg.
They also did not build electric trains during the USSR.
In 1996, the first model of the ET2 DC electric train was produced (ET2T, ET2M, ET2MRL, ET2ML, ET2EM, ET2A).

Some ET2s were sold to both Ukraine and Estonia.

I did not look at the database in detail, Pedivikia claims that only 149 such trains were built.
These creatures were fixed in St. Petersburg. The series is already outdated. It is being replaced by ET4A.

So far done, for test operation, only three trains. The first batch is announced for 30 cars. You can see them at the Baltic Station. The further fate of the project depends on the success of their operation. Such a competitor as the Swallow "Siemens Desiro RUS" breathes in their backs.
Somewhere on trials, since 2003, one such beast as ET4E is still stuck.

What's with him, where is he? I do not know.
TorVZ is also interesting in that it produced the first diesel electric train DT1 in Russia. The so-called Woodpecker among the people. 13 trains.

Its peculiarity is the presence of a diesel generator providing the possibility of autonomous running on locomotive sections. Under the wires, it rides like an electric train, powered by a contact network. The wires run out, starts the torch body and drives on. Almost all trains work in St. Petersburg. Terribly greedy for weakness. They break, but they drive in half with grief. Sometimes they are rescued by diesel locomotives. In principle, this is not surprising: the model is new, the mass of childhood diseases. They will practice, correct defects. And some of the next DT2 will be less capricious.
We are writing 166 multi-unit trains into the TorVZ set-off.

Diesel trains began to be produced in Mytishchi. JSC "Metrovagonmash"... The products are represented by rail buses (RA1) for low-traffic lines.
We made them whole 133 pieces. One even travels in the Moscow metro at night.

This bus was exported both to Hungary (hello Ganz-MAVAG) and to the Czech Republic (Hello Skode).
Here he is in Budapest -

Once the USSR bought diesel trains D1 from them.
There are no such people left in Russia. Recently in the Leningrad region, the last pepelats collided with a bus. Used as a service. They still work in Ukraine -

119 trains were built. Some work in Mongolia, Lithuania and Ukraine.

Total JSC "Metrovagonmash": 252 rail buses.

It should be mentioned that in 1995 the Program “Overhaul and restoration of electric train cars after 20 years of operation” was developed and approved. The brainchild of this program was the so-called Maggots, a line of white worms EM2 (EM2I), made on the basis of old Riga ER-ok.
They washed them out, in hellish torment, on Moscow Locomotive Repair Plant.
A total of 51 teams.

A certain number of ER-oks fell under this program, which, without changing the series, were made KVR, welding Demikhov's cabins.

A couple of years ago, the production of electric trains was opened in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, at the plant LLC "Ural locomotives"... And the already well-known Swallows of the Siemens Desiro RUS project began to do there. Electric trains received a separate ES2G series.

Six such trains have already been built.
The first train was manufactured in June 2014. 62% of the components for it are produced in Russia; it is planned to bring the degree of localization to 80-85 percent. By 2021, 240 trains are to be produced.
Ural chumbUrlens Tver answered as best she could

The first EG2TV from TVZ. Somewhere now he is spinning emery in Shcherbinka.

In Europe, people often travel by electric trains to work in neighboring cities, where it is much more convenient than a car. In the European train, you can find a successful businessman working on a laptop. Let's hope that soon we will have the same. In the meantime, in Russia, they use electric trains, rather, out of poverty and despair.

We are getting acquainted with the new electric trains at the international salon Expo 1520.

Why Expo 1 520? This is the official track gauge of our railways, as well as railways in the CIS countries, the Baltic States, Mongolia and Finland - 1520 mm. Its total length in the "1520 space" is over 150 thousand km. 1520 mm is called a "wide" track.

The "wide" track is the second longest in the world. The most common track today is the so-called "European" or "standard" track - 1435 mm. The total length of the lines of this track is estimated at 720 thousand kilometers.

The President of Russian Railways, Vladimir Yakunin, came to open the Salon. (Photo by Ramiz Mustafayev):

Modifications to a conventional train... The 2011 version, according to Russian Railways, “provides maximum comfort for passengers”.

Driver's cab:

Russian Railways recently launched train to Nice... In these cars, passengers are offered to take a trip to the Cote d'Azur:

The interior of the carriage resembles the suites in Soviet boarding houses:

Each compartment has a shower and toilet:

Each carriage has a bar:

With various interior layouts and designs. A new muzzle was pulled on the old train:

Looks pretty good at first glance:

Train interior. The first question is what to hold on to for passengers who do not have enough seating space?

Second option:

The transition between the cars in our train:

Swiss company Stadler. Here everything is the same as in ours, only better. It is already supplied to Belarus and will be used on Minsk city routes. One line-up costs almost $ 6 million.

The Swiss train provides passenger comfort at the highest European level: it has air conditioning, a special entrance for the disabled and wireless Internet.

Flirt Salon:

It is immediately evident that the Swiss at the factory is engaged in interior design by a designer, not a janitor. Everything for people. It's just nice to be here:

Convenient handrails and trash cans!

Places for the disabled and wheelchairs:

Sockets! It is still rare to find a regular socket on our trains. This is given the fact that now everyone has at least a few gadgets that would be good to charge. In Flirt, there is a power outlet under each small table. A retractable urn is hidden in the bracket that holds the table. I don’t understand why they don’t make ballot boxes in our trains?

Toilet on the Swiss train. It seems that everything is the same as in ours, but take a closer look at the details. See how the colors are matched for the variety of handrails:

And lastly, the retro model is a masterpiece of the Stalinist Empire style, the ER-1 electric train (nicknamed "globe"). (Photo by Ramiz Mustafayev):

A prototype of the newest Russian electric train will be exhibited on the square near the Kazansky railway station of the capital from 4 to 15 September EG2TV .

During the exhibit, a wide range of potential passengers of the new train will have the opportunity to evaluate the merits of the new project and express their wishes to the developers as to what they expect from the new city and suburban train and what they want to see it, according to the press service of Transmashholding.

The EG2Tv electric train is the first representative of a new family of Russian electric trains being created in Transmashholding. The first two trains, consisting of five carriages, will be built this year. The production of new rolling stock is organized at the facilities of the Tver Carriage Works. The exterior and interior design of EG2Tv was developed by Integral Design and Development, one of the leading design companies in Europe, whose projects have been implemented on many European railways.

In terms of its technical characteristics, EG2Tv is not inferior to foreign analogues, including those presented on the market, and even surpasses them in a number of parameters. It was created using the most modern technical solutions. The electric train uses the latest asynchronous motors, new design bogies with pneumatic suspension technology, crash systems; a complex digital control, diagnostics and safety system was used, which provides the function of automatic driving of an electric train, collection and storage of information about the modes of its movement, monitors the technical condition of the train in real time and allows one driver to control the train - without an assistant. Due to the use of modern technical solutions, the labor intensity of maintenance has been significantly reduced and the overhaul intervals have been increased. Energy saving equipment also contributes to the economy.

The concept of an electric train assumes the possibility of creating modifications for speeds up to 120, up to 160 km / h, and in the future for high-speed traffic - up to 250 km / h.

The electric train uses the most modern principles of modular space configuration, which makes it possible to quickly adapt the carriage space to the needs of various operating organizations: the train can be urban, intercity, regional, designed to transport passengers to the airport, etc. The number of seats in the car depends from the destination of the train and the wishes of the customer. The carriage can be equipped with special places for the carriage of luggage, bicycles, baby carriages, etc.

When creating a new train, special attention was paid to solutions that provide comfortable travel and movement for passengers with disabilities of the musculoskeletal system.
