Treatment in Gurzuf

Gurzuf is a climatic resort: the sea and its air saturated with phytoncides are already healing in themselves. The first sanatoriums appeared here more than 100 years ago. The main profile of the Gurzuf sanatoriums is the treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system, respiratory system and nervous system. The best of them are located in an old park, with terraces descending to the sea. The Gurzufsky sanatorium occupies the largest part of the park. This is the former Central Military Sanatorium of the USSR Ministry of Defense, through which the entire Soviet generals passed. In addition to natural factors, its therapeutic and recreational programs actively use aerotherapy, thalassotherapy, heliotherapy. In the western part of the park, there is the "Pearl of Crimea" recreation and health complex, which includes the Pushkino VIP sanatorium. Its modern medical center offers courses in magnetic and ultrasound therapy, therapeutic massages and other wellness treatments.

Gurzuf Hotels

Gurzuf lives for tourists and for the sake of tourists - the choice of hotels and apartments in it is huge. The most common form of placement is the private sector. Many private owners rent out their homes online, some in the old fashioned way, through barkers in crowded places. A reasonable alternative to the private sector is hotels, mini-hotels and apart-hotels. There is no star classification. This category can include comfortable apartments with a kitchen and a private beach (from 7000 RUB), a cozy boutique hotel with a designer interior (from 8500 RUB), a modest hotel (from 1800 RUB), a Spartan hostel (from 500 RUB) and even a luxury villa (from 64 000 RUB). Gurzuf sanatoriums are a completely different type of recreation. Their price, as a rule, already includes three meals a day and a fairly large list of medical services. However, some procedures may be charged.

What to bring

All the best in Crimea was created by nature, man only improved its creations. Once again you are convinced of this, solving a difficult question - what to bring in memory of Gurzuf. Not only a good, but also a useful souvenir - essential oils from lavender, clary sage, rose, coriander. They should be bought from pharmacies or specialty stores, and preferably in a dark bottle. Crimean herbal teas based on mint, St. John's wort, rosemary, and echinacea are no less useful for health and are not burdensome for luggage. One of the best brands - "Herbs of Mountainous Crimea". Mud can also be a good gift - in Crimea it is curative. It is sold in special containers and is used for masks and wraps. Combs, cups, boxes, hot stands are made from juniper, which literally permeates the air of Crimea. From the Crimean onyx - watches, candlesticks, jewelry. And finally, Gurzuf is a great place to replenish your homemade enoteca with Crimean wines, including the legendary “Black Doctor” and “White Muscat of the Red Stone”.

Cafes and restaurants of Gurzuf

Russian, Ukrainian, Tatar, Uzbek, Turkish and even Chinese - all the variety of world cuisine is mixed in Gurzuf. Equally wide is the range of catering establishments scattered throughout the village in abundance. Places of pilgrimage for budget tourists are canteens that have hardly changed since Soviet times. The food in them is varied, inexpensive, without the risk of poisoning. Small family pizzerias, cheburek and similar places compete with them, attracting lovers of barbecue, lagman, pilaf, shurpa and other uncomplicated dishes. The best establishments of Gurzuf are located on the embankment. The cafes seduce with a reasonable ratio of food quality, service and prices - lunch without wine will cost 400-500 RUB. Their menu, as a rule, contains fish dishes, including the Crimean delicacy - the Black Sea mullet. For a romantic atmosphere and culinary delights, go to a restaurant. One of the local favorites is Venice, where they cook the best trout in Gurzuf with a creamy nut sauce and tender Crimean lamb.

Entertainment and sights of Gurzuf

The main attractions of the resort are its natural beauty. Rising from the water 300 m from the coast, the Adalary rocks are a symbol of Gurzuf and its tourist brand, as well as the bear-like Ayu-Dag mountain. Ayu-Dag is a failed volcano. Millions of years ago, magma, rising from the bowels of the earth in this place, did not come out, but only raised sedimentary rocks, solidified in the form of a mountain. It is not difficult to get to its top - the main thing is to follow the signs indicating the desired route. The first to appreciate the merits of Gurzuf was the Governor-General of Novorossia, Duke of Richelieu, who built a European mansion in an adobe Tatar village. In the absence of the owner, the house was rented out. In 1820, young Pushkin visited the family of General Raevsky here - he swam in the sea, fell in love, wrote poetry, and later recalled this time as the happiest period in his life. Now the poet's museum is open in the Richelieu house. Gurzuf became a resort thanks to the railway magnate Peter Gubonin, who at the end of the 19th century bought the park of the former Richelieu estate and built several hotels, a restaurant and installed the Goddess of the Night fountain brought from Vienna. Today the old park is divided between three sanatoriums, and almost all buildings have survived.

In the administration of the sanatorium "Gurzufsky" you can buy a day pass to visit the beach and park.

Day and night, the epicenter of the resort life of Gurzuf is concentrated on the promenade with a row of shops, slot machines, pizzerias, cafes and the Cocktail Hall nightclub, which is famous for incendiary parties and competitions of women's teams in professional mud fighting. From the embankment, it is worth taking a short walk along the narrow path leading to Chekhov's Dacha. The writer bought a small white house on the cape of the Dzhenevez-Kaya rock from the Gurzuf Tatar, and together with the house, all this beauty and a small piece of the Crimean coast. None of his close friends, with the exception of Bunin, knew about the existence of the dacha. In this quiet secluded place, Chekhov did not receive guests, but worked, swam, and fished. From the shore, the Sultanka rock, which is often called Shalyapinskaya, looks at the Adalary. It, along with a basket of peaches, was presented to the singer by his admirer Olga Solovyova. Chaliapin was going to build a real castle on it with an underground outlet to the sea. But before he had time, the revolution broke out, and only a stone bridge remained from the dream of the great singer. Above Gurzuf, on the plantations near the Red Stone rock, grapes are grown, from which the most titled Crimean wine "Red Stone White Muscat" is produced, which received 21 gold medals at international competitions ... You can learn more about Massandra wines during a tour (450 RUB) through the cellars and enoteca of the Massandra plant with a tasting of 9 vintage wines.

Gurzuf for children

Artek is a well-advertised brand and the dream of all the girls and boys of the Soviet Union. Today he gives the impression of an exemplary well-oiled economy, which does not prevent him from remaining a dream. Now you can buy it. The cost of a ticket in the summer season, depending on the camp, is 65,000-75,000 RUB per person.

Artek accepts children from 9 to 16 years old. The duration of the shift is 21 days.

The Children's Republic covers an area of 258 hectares, of which almost half are parks. The coastline, stretching for 7 km, covers the town with a chain of children's camps, 6 of which are year-round. Each camp has its own thematic programs. For example, in the Rechnoy camp, the Adventure Camp program has been developed for children from 12 to 16 years old. Near the Pribrezhny complex - Marine Flotilla. There are also common thematic groups for the camps: "Young filmmakers", "Marine squad", "Tourist squad", "English summer" with everyday communication in English. Regardless of the camp, shifts and squad, for all citizens of the children's republic - quests , quizzes, sports tournaments, master classes and, as a tribute to old traditions, a huge night fire.

Weather in Gurzuf

The Crimean mountains protect Gurzuf from cold winds, and the broken coastline from sea waves. The sun shines over Gurzuf for 250 days a year. The climate of the resort, like the entire southern coast, is of a subtropical Mediterranean type with mild, humid winters and hot dry summers. The swimming season, when the sea water warms up to +18 ° C and higher, lasts from early June to late September. Sometimes (most often in June-early July), with a strong northerly wind, cold deep layers rise to the surface, and the water temperature near the coast drops to +10 ... + 12 ° C. After two to three days, in sunny weather, it is restored to comfortable values.

Today we will tell you how to get from Simferopol airport to Gurzuf. How long does the road take, and what kind of transport should be preferred in different situations.

The distance from Simferopol to Gurzuf is more than 70 km, given that you will not be getting from the main post office, but from the airport. There are direct buses Airport-Gurzuf, offers from local taxi drivers will also fall on you, like a cornucopia, as soon as you step on the Crimean land. There are also more comfortable ways to get to Gurzuf, which are often cheaper than a taxi. For example, a taxi operating successfully on the Kiwi Peninsula, etc.

How to get to Gurzuf by bus

The first option that comes to mind is public transport. The method is not the most comfortable, but it is budgetary - the ticket price is from 120 to 400 rubles. In addition, Gurzuf and his guests were lucky - the village is located a little closer to Yalta along the route of the bus. Therefore, one can consider stuffy public transport as a means of getting from Simferopol with a clear conscience. The road will take more than 2 hours, but a persistent passenger will be able to withstand the heat, and the serpentine road, and the nice habit of Crimean drivers to recruit "standing" passengers into the cabin.

We were obliged to warn you about possible problems. If nothing confuses, feel free to study the bus schedule from Simferopol airport to Gurzuf.

Bus Simferopol - Gurzuf - schedule 2020

There are very few direct buses from the airport to Gurzuf. More precisely, there is only one in the 2020 schedule so far:

The news is not very good, but you still need to get there. As it became clear, Gurzuf is located on the road from Simferopol to Yalta, and dozens of buses a day follow to this resort town. But there is a nuance - they all make a stop at the turn to Gurzuf, without entering the village. In it, right from the track, you have to go down on your own, and this descent is quite protracted. Bagless passengers or young guests of the Artek camp will do it without difficulty. But for those who are not ready for a marathon with suitcases (young children, elderly parents, etc.), this is unrealistic.

However, it will not hurt to get acquainted with the schedule of passing buses Airport - Gurzuf. To use it in the future or not, you decide:

Transfer from Simferopol airport to Gurzuf

A.P. Chekhov's bay (Gurzuf, Crimea)

Logically, the second option after public transport should be taxis. But as a result of the disappointing news that there is only one direct bus from the airport to Gurzuf, I want to please you with at least something. Therefore, let's go straight to the comfortable one.

Firstly, Kiwitaxi is successfully operating in Crimea - a transfer that you can choose and order from home. Despite the sanctions, the guys were not afraid to come to the peninsula, which made life easier for most vacationers. Secondly, the cost of a taxi to Gurzuf is inexpensive - from 2,000 rubles. for the car. If you order a minivan that can accommodate up to seven (!) Passengers, the trip will cost 3,000 rubles. For a minibus for 10-13 people, you will have to pay 5,000 - 5,500 rubles.

You can see for yourself that the prices are affordable. Especially if you divide the cost of the Simferopol-Gurzuf transfer into the whole friendly company.

The cost of the selected transfer remains fixed; when ordering, you need to pay only 30% of the total amount. In the conditions of the harsh Crimean public transport, the option of ordering a transfer will allow you to start your vacation in a good mood. When it's hot, it's worth considering health and comfort. Moreover, both about our own and about children, for the sake of whom we most often get out to the sea and the sun. For their vestibular apparatus, buses without air conditioning and serpentine roads are a test.

Airport - Gurzuf: local taxi

If you are too lazy or simply do not want to get involved with the transfer for some reason, then this option also has a right to exist. Why not? Especially if you know how to bargain and are not afraid of anything. Taxis, by the way, are mostly private at the Simferopol airport, who migrated there from the railway station. He is now idle due to the lack of long-distance trains. So, not everyone will decide to go with these brave guys on a long trip in the evening.

Taxi Simferopol - Gurzuf

But there is a chance to save money, if you have such a desire. You can cooperate with some of the passengers who also need to get to Gurzuf and pay exactly half as much. This opportunity is practiced in Crimea.

Let's warn you about one more nuance. If you are lucky to have a rest in Crimea during the "high season", get ready for the fact that taxi prices will be inflated to the limit. And taxi drivers will not be inclined to bargain - the planes land one after another, there are a lot of customers! By the way, in the same period, prices for hotels are also rising. Or so: the most "tasty" rooms for the price are dismantled long before the beach season. Only expensive suites / junior suites remain.

A month ago, I visited Gurzuf for the first time, and until some time I did not know anything about this village, I had never heard of it before. We went here only because of the famous museum - Chekhov's Dacha, which I saw in the picture and really wanted to visit it. In total, we spent 3-4 days in Gurzuf and in the end we really liked this place. I would love to come here in the hot season, I liked the beaches and narrow streets of the village, I will gladly tell you what you can see and where to stay.

Accommodation in Gurzuf:

In Gurzuf, we changed the accommodation facility twice, in the first case it was the Familia apart-hotel, in the second we stayed at the Vesely Hotei hotel. Both of these holiday options are located in different parts of the village. Family Apartment are located quite far from the sea, walking to the beach for about 15-20 minutes and devices in the city center, among the old streets and not far from the museum. All objects here are located quite far from the beach. Hotel Cheerful Hotei it is more suitable for recreation, it is located in an area more distant from the center, where there is an extended beach for tourists.

Where to stay in Gurzuf?

There are quite a few hotels, inns, sanatoriums, apartments and objects for every taste where you can stay. By the way, the famous international children's camp "Artek" is also located here. Choosing accommodation on booking be guided by the map Chekhov Museum if you want to stay right by the sea. The price list for rooms near the sea starts from 3000-4000 rubles. per day. In general, there are rooms and cheaper, the cost of living here is quite acceptable, housing can be rented from 1200 rubles. If you want to stay near the beach, and not in the historical part of the village, then it is best to choose those hotels that are located on the right side of the beach, not far from the second hotel in which we stayed.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants, there is a small promenade where you can take a walk. The beaches have a gently sloping stone entrance. I was surprised by one feature - all the beaches here are with pinkish stones. This means that the beach is poured and the cover is regularly renewed. We were out of season and all beaches were closed. It was possible to get to the sea only in 1-2 exits. In summer, you can stay here in any bay of the beach, except for the closed territory of Gurzuf (museum, Artek). The beaches are free, you can stay under an awning, they are equipped with every beach span. Also, there are developed such sea services as a boat trip, boat trips.

You should definitely take a walk in the center of Gurzuf, there are special courtyards that somehow reminded me of Georgia (although I have never been to Georgia). But from the photographs I saw that there you can also wander among the old streets. Very interesting options with parking here, you need to see with your own eyes how the locals stop cars near the house - from the outside you will never guess how they got to their home).

Sights of Gurzuf:

Of the sights, most tourists choose to view the Ayu-Dag Mountain, it is also Bear Mountain, you can visit the Gazebo of the Winds, but you need to get to it by car, you can walk along the Gurzuf embankment. For me, the main object of interest was the dacha - the Chekhov Museum, which I recommend visiting in the first place, since I had not seen such sites before and this place is very beautiful. You can also visit the Pushkin Museum, it is in the center, take a walk in the parks. Dine by the sea in a cozy restaurant.

Among all the places where I was in Crimea, this is still the second place where I would like to return, along with Laspi Bay. It is very calm here, at least out of season there were a minimum number of tourists. But it seems to me that this is not such a popular destination as, for example, Yalta, so the influx of tourists here will definitely not be so abundant.

How to get to Gurzuf:

If you are traveling by car, then there will be no problems with finding a location using the navigator - this is about near Yalta and about 3.5 hours on the way from the intersection of the Crimean bridge. Here is a memo for those who are going to get to Gurzuf without a car:

From Simferopol airport to Gurzuf you can take the trolleybus number 55 Airport - Yalta. During the high season, it operates 20 flights a day from 7:49 to 20:49. Travel time 2 hours 20 minutes, ticket price 143 RUB. Those traveling to Gurzuf should get off on the Yuzhnoberezhnoye Highway at the stops "Gurzuf" or "Pavilion Gurzuf". From the first one you can go down to the village on foot. From the second one, it is convenient to get to the center of Gurzuf by bus number 106 or minibus number 31B, which stop on the opposite side of the Yuzhnoberezhnoe highway. Prices on the page are for September 2018.

From the Simferopol railway station to the stops "Gurzuf" and "Pavilion Gurzuf" can be reached by trolleybus No. 52 Simferopol - Yalta. In the summer, he makes 28 flights a day, the first at 6:21, the last at 21:15. Travel time is 2 hours, ticket price is 124 RUB. More information about tariffs and trolleybus timetables can be found on the website of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Krymtrolleybus".

An excellent budget way to get to your destination is direct buses Airport - Gurzuf (3 times a day) and Simferopol - Gurzuf (departure from the railway station 9 times a day). In addition, dozens of buses leave from the airport and from the railway station in Simferopol to Yalta every day, passing through the stops "Gurzuf" and "Pavilion Gurzuf". Travel time on any of the buses is about 2 hours. You can clarify the schedule on the website of the State Unitary Enterprise "Krymavtotrans".

Convenient entrance to the sea, promenade, calm. I plan to visit this place in the future and I really liked it. On occasion, if I am in Crimea, I will definitely come to Gurzuf again. Clean sea, many interesting objects, it is worth visiting here.
