Ukraine has its own Egyptian pyramids. A unique pyramid in the Poltava region Almost an Egyptian miracle

A unique pyramid in the Poltava region.

The pyramid in the village of Berezovaya Rudka, Piryatinsky district, Poltava province, was built somewhat later than the pyramid in the village. Komendantovka - in 1898. This family tomb was built on his estate by a certain Ignatius Platonovich Zakrevsky, who at that time was in the service of the Grand Duke Alexander Alexandrovich - Emperor of Russia Alexander III.

T.G. came to this estate, to his parents Platon and Ganna Zakrevsky, more than once. Shevchenko. For the first time he came here in July 1843 and then coming here, he stayed for a long time in 1845-46 in the Zakrevski family. Here he painted portraits of Plato and Ganna Zakrevsky, here he began to write the poem "Caucasus". In the park of the estate, a six-century-old oak tree has been preserved - Taras Grigorovich's favorite resting place.

Let us return, however, to the pyramid. She not only had a facing, as an example of her Egyptian sisters, but also a peculiar architectural complex, consisting of a statue of the goddess Isis, who “guarded” the entrance to the tomb and a stone Orthodox cross located on the portico, above the entrance to the pyramid.

Why exactly in the estate of Messrs. Zakrevsky was this unique structure built for Ukraine, and for the whole of Europe as a whole? Ignaty Platonovich Zakrevsky - Chief Prosecutor of the 1st Department of Law of the Senate, author of a number of articles in the journal "Civil and Criminal Law", etc. The Zakrevsky family is included in the genealogical books of Vladimir, Yekaterinoslav, Poltava, Petersburg, Saratov, Simbirsk, Smolensk and Chernigov provinces. Acting and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia during the time of Emperor Alexander III of Russia in Egypt.

It was the service of Ignatius Zakrevsky in Egypt that allowed him to become seriously interested in the history of the Egyptian pyramids and the culture of this amazing country. To his family estate in Berezovaya Rudka, he brought from Egypt elements of household utensils skillfully made by Egyptian craftsmen: elements of furniture and utensils, as well as a statue of the goddess Isis for the future family pyramid-tomb.

The tomb in Berezovaya Rudka, unlike the pyramid of Bilevich, was smaller in height and overall dimensions. After the completion of construction, it reached only 9 meters. The thickness of the walls did not exceed 30-35 centimeters. The walls of the pyramid themselves were erected from silicate bricks, for the laying of which they used a mortar based on cement with the addition of egg whites. The outer walls of the pyramid were filled with cement and visually divided into blocks, which created the illusion of the presence of facing slabs.

But the most interesting thing is that, unlike the commandant's pyramid, the walls of the Zakrevskys' tomb were painted with letters. There is evidence that on these walls there were quotations from the Holy Scriptures and frescoes reflecting the difficult relationship of the Egyptian peasants with their almighty gods. It is also surprising that in the center of the cramped hall there was an Orthodox altar with a large stone cross, the trace of which is still visible.

Thus, in the pyramid-tomb of the Zakrevskys, the symbiosis of ancient Egyptian culture and Christian culture reached its climax. The surviving photograph of the early 20th century shows that an Orthodox cross was laid out of bricks above the entrance to the tomb, and to the right of the entrance itself there was a statue of an ancient Egyptian goddess. And so, apparently, Ignatius Zakrevsky had good reason to allow himself such liberties as combining in one cult building the attributes of the pagan gods of Egypt and the symbol of the Christian church - the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified.

Alas, neither the inscriptions nor the frescoes on the walls of the tomb, nor the statue of the goddess Isis, nor the cross on the altar have survived to this day. The very burial place of the Zakrevskys was also desecrated and plundered. Another bitter irony of fate: like the Egyptian pyramids forty-five centuries ago, the Ukrainian pyramids in the last century suffered the same fate - the looting and desecration of burials. I would like to hope that at least the pyramids themselves will remain as monuments of history and will not sink into oblivion without a trace.

When preparing the site materials, the literary script of the documentary film "Ukraine. History and legends of pyramids-tombs" was taken as a basis, the author of which is the director of the film Sergei Gavrilenko. Information from the book by Vojtech Zamarovsky "Their Majesties the Pyramid" was also used. Photos of the pyramid-tomb of the Zakrevskys were provided by the director of the documentary S. Gavrilenko.

Almost an Egyptian miracle

Everyone associates the concept of "pyramid" with, where there are many of these unique structures created by human hands and immortalized in history. But few people know that in the Poltava region there is a similar wonder of the world, although it is not so majestic and pretentious.

In the village of Berezovaya Rudka in the Poltava region there is a "hill of light", built back in 1898. This, of course, is not the tomb of the pharaoh, but the pyramid, like a magnet, attracts tourists and travelers from all over the world to look at its structure, appearance, and at least for a moment touch the mystery, the border between life and death, recreated on the surface of the earth.

It is believed that these are not one, but two pyramids, which are fraught with a real mystical secret. They were partially destroyed, and at the moment there is no former grandeur left of the pyramids, however, they are not considered ruins and a pile of stones. These are two of the three pyramids in Europe, the third is in Rome. So the Poltava region was a worthy competitor to Egypt itself in some way.

The beginning of the story

Ignatius Platonovich Zakrevsky got excited about the idea of building a tomb for his family and threw all his strength into the implementation of his plan.

Since he was in the service of the Emperor of Russia Alexander III, there were no problems with finances and workers who completed the main part of the construction (Ignatius Platonovich belonged only to the idea and organization of their work). And he learned about the pyramids when he was in Egypt by the nature of his service.

The culture of this country so fascinated Zakrevsky that he dreamed of resting his relatives, and, subsequently, himself, in such a majestic structure.

From Egypt, he also brought a statue of the goddess Isis, which took pride of place at the entrance to the pyramids. In the center was an altar, next to which was a large stone cross. An iron analogue crowned the top of the pyramid.

Peace was short lived

In 1917, trouble came to the tomb, violating the eternal peace of the Zakrevski family. The Bolsheviks came to power and desecrated the tomb in the most terrible way that a believer can imagine. The interior frescoes, which are of great value to historians, were irretrievably destroyed.

The statue of Isis was smashed, and the remains of the Zakrevskys were removed from the pyramid and thrown into a garbage ditch. Such an act of vandalism has not been seen for a long time not only by Poltava region, but by the whole of Europe. The locals secretly reburied them later in the local cemetery.

But what left others speechless was the arrangement of a dairy warehouse in a dilapidated crypt. Why not, milk was fresh for a long time, and who cared at that time about those who consumed it.

Later, local authorities wanted to destroy the tomb completely, to wipe even the memories of it from the face of the earth. But during the construction, a special solution was used, one of the ingredients of which was egg whites.

The pyramid survived to the delight of the locals, who claimed that it feeds them with miraculous energy and gives them the strength to live on in this difficult world. Now she is waiting for her friends, and the inhabitants of the village are happy to conduct excursions, accompanying them with stories about the history of this amazing building.

Recently visited an interesting place. It turns out that there are pyramids in Ukraine, but few people know about it ...

To see the ancient pyramids, it is not necessary to go to distant lands, to a distant land of deserts - it is enough to visit the Kobelyatsky or Piryatinsky regions of the Poltava region, where you can admire the majestic man-made structures. By the way, there are only three pyramids in Europe: one - in the Italian capital of Rome, the other two - in the Poltava region.

Komendantovka is a small village located in the Kobylyatsky district of the Poltava region. Getting there isn't easy. If from the capital, then first to Poltava, then by bus to Kobylyaki, and from there by transit vehicles to Komendantovka itself. But, despite the difficulties, tourists increasingly began to look into this outback.

“We have a pyramid-tomb,” says a local resident, local historian Vladimir Belousko:

“In the 19th century, part of the commandant's lands belonged to the leader of the local nobility, Alexander Bilevich,” continues the local historian. - He was an officer in the Russian fleet, sailed a lot and could visit Egypt. It is possible that Bilevich chose the form of a pyramid for the ancestral tomb following the example of the monuments to the deceased sailors, erected in the form of pyramids. After all, there were no Egyptian hieroglyphs and drawings in the building, and on top there was a stone ball on which stood an Orthodox cross. (According to another version, the Bilevichi were Freemasons. The pyramid was built in the same way: the ball on the cut pyramid is a well-known Masonic symbol).

They built the pyramid for 13 years. As a building material, granite blocks from a local quarry were used, they were pulled up by cables along wooden gutters, and limestone mortar was made on the blood of freshly slaughtered cattle with the addition of egg whites. Three burial chambers were connected by underground passages. The building was crowned with an Orthodox cross.

What was this unusual building for the Poltava region? On the first floor there was a hall with vaulted ceilings and elongated windows, there was an altar with an iconostasis, on the second floor there was a bell tower, and an Orthodox cross was installed at the top. After the pyramid was consecrated, it was named St. Sophia's Church.

Sofya Belevich, the officer's wife, was the first to be buried in the funeral hall. This young woman suddenly fell ill and died. Alexander Dmitrievich went to the Russian-Turkish war, and, returning to Komendantovka, devoted the rest of his life to public work. In 1916, he passed away and was also buried in the tomb.

- The further fate of the pyramid is tragic, - states Vladimir Belousko. - Already in 1922, the communists destroyed the church, threw out the bodies of the Bilevich couple. When it came to removing the bell, the whole village came to the defense - the authorities retreated. That same night, a "funnel" drove through the village - and the next day no one came out to defend the bell.

Commandants tell mystical stories about their pyramid. As if a local resident, who removed the cross from the top of the 15-meter tomb, soon disappeared from the village without a trace. The priest claims that a person who dares to commit such blasphemy loses his mind.

Later, the pyramid was used as a storage for chemicals - the entire crypt was covered with dust.

According to Vladimir Belousko, the church in the pyramid will open in the summer of 2009. Local enthusiasts restored the building, cleaned out the remnants of hazardous chemicals, and erected an extension for prayer.

Nikolai Novikov - Director of the Institute of Superhard Materials named after A.I. V.N. Bakula of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is the only descendant of the noble family of Bilevich living in Ukraine. In September last year, he erected a monument to his famous ancestors - Sofia Mikhailovna, Alexander Dmitrievich and Peter Alexandrovich. Now he plans to help in the manufacture of domes.

P.S. When I was returning from Komendantovka, I was once again amazed at the dozens of kilometers of well-paved secondary roads (which now pass among the fields between endangered villages) - a legacy inherited from the Soviet Union. I am sure that no such road has been built during the independence of Ukraine - it was not before!

Therefore, when they now tell me that they say that there were crises in the 90s, and nothing - they ended, they survived - we will survive this one. No - then there was an inheritance that we could exploit, sell and squander. Today it ended. Everything that is possible is stolen and destroyed. There is still land left, but greedy little hands are already reaching for this last resource... If we sell the land, we will be able to prolong the agony of this terribly inefficient, anti-people system headed by a corrupt elite for another ten years...

Such is the destructive era. No new roads, no pyramids - only mountains of rubbish for future generations to inherit. Here are all our accomplishments...

Would you like to see the beautiful pyramids and are preparing a trip to Egypt? Or maybe you should not go so far, but visit the Poltava pyramids on Slavic land? The locals are very proud of this incredible monument of culture and history.

Amazing and strange Poltava pyramids

Ukraine has already become famous among scientists for its ancient pyramids. Two are truly unique and are tombs. One is located in the village of Komendatovka, Koblevsky district, and the second is located at the ancient museum of the village of Berezovaya Rudka, Priyatinsky district.

The pyramid in the village of Komendatovka is much younger than its Egyptian counterparts; it was built not so long ago by an officer of the Russian fleet Bilevich Alexander Dmitrievich. The officer visited Egypt and was very inspired by the great Egyptian pyramids. At that time, the Suez Canal was being built and Egyptomania was gaining momentum every day.

As soon as Alexander Dmitrievich returned home, he began the construction of his own tomb. The construction of the tomb pyramid took 13 years, but the result was worth the effort. Granite blocks were used as building material, which were lifted up along wooden gutters with the help of cables.

The pyramid has three small underground rooms that are connected by corridors. On the first floor there was an altar with an iconostasis, and on the second floor there was a bell tower. Unfortunately, with the advent of Soviet power, the fate of the pyramid is rather tragic. The tomb was destroyed and set aside for the storage of chemicals, but later the locals restored the church.

The second pyramid was built by Zakrevsky Ignatius Platonovich. Ignatius Platonovich was an ambassador to Emperor Alexander III, and after visiting Egypt, he also fell ill with the ancient pyramids. The building was absolutely classical and it was also used as a family tomb. Her peculiarity was that she was multi-religious. It contained a Christian altar, Holy Scripture, Egyptian frescoes, and the entrance was guarded by the goddess Isis. Unfortunately, the Bolsheviks defiled and destroyed this Ukrainian pyramid as well.

Sights of Poltava

Be sure to visit these great sights of Poltava. Indeed, a large amount of strength and faith was invested in the construction of the pyramids, they have incredible energy. Local residents are confident that the pyramids are capable of healing, and the offenders who participated in their desecration could not live to be 40 years old or lost their minds.

Picturesque Ukraine is famous not only for pyramids, interesting places in Ukraine and the locals can't reach. Kharkov, Odessa, Poltava and other cities have something to show you and something to brag about. Historical, cultural, ethnic sights are waiting for their guests.
It is worth noting that in addition to the Egyptian ones, there are still many pyramids in the world: these are

Did you know that there are pyramids not only in Egypt and Mexico, but also in Europe. There are three of them - one is in Italy. And we have two more in Ukraine. And to be more precise - in the Poltava region. Our pyramids have many legends and an interesting but complex history. Local residents claim that they have miraculous properties and those who mocked the pyramids in Soviet times did not live to be 40 years old. Now a lot of people who have health problems come to the pyramids, and the priests say that grace comes from these structures. People go one by one for 5-7 minutes inside and stand in the center at the intersection of the sun's rays.

The first pyramid was built for 13 years by order of the leader of the local nobility Alexander Belevich in the village. Komendantovka. The origin of this pyramid is shrouded in mystery. Lime mortar for construction was mixed with egg whites and the blood of freshly slaughtered cattle. Belevich was an officer of the Russian fleet and probably visited Egypt, and possibly built it following the example of the monuments to the deceased sailors. The third option is Freemasonry. There were no Egyptian hieroglyphs and drawings inside the pyramid, and on top there was a stone ball - a well-known Masonic symbol, on which stood an Orthodox cross. The pyramid was named the Sophia Church, in honor of the wife of the officer Sophia, who died and was buried in it.

The pyramid consists of three levels. The lower one - 3 burial chambers connected by underground passages, the first floor - the altar and the iconostasis, where the services were held, and the second floor served as a bell tower. According to various sources, in 1915 or 1916, next to his wife, Belevich himself found his last refuge.

In 1922, the communists destroyed the church, threw the bodies of the nobles into the street, and later used it as a storage for chemicals. When the authorities began to remove the bell, the whole village came to the defense and she retreated. That same night, an NKVD car drove through the village. The next day, no one came out to defend the church.

Now the pyramid has been restored and an extension has been built, the church will open soon.

The second pyramid was built in 1898 by a descendant of a Ukrainian noble family, Ignatius Zakrevsky, making it a family burial vault. The walls of the pyramid are located relative to the cardinal points, and for its construction, hewn granite was brought specially from Africa. At the southern entrance stood a statue of Isis, approximately the 2nd millennium BC. er, and inside there were ancient Egyptian frescoes and quotes from the Bible on the walls. It was a crypt with four niches, where Ignat Platonovich buried the remains of his parents. When he died of a heart attack in Cairo in 1906, he was embalmed and buried in his family tomb.

In the 80s, local authorities decided that the pyramid did not fit into the wonderful architectural ensemble of the club and the cemetery and decided to demolish it with a bulldozer. But the solution on egg yolks did not succumb and the pyramid survived.
