How to find gold: search and hunt in the ground, on the beach and on the street. Beach search - restrictions in law, the effect of salts on MD, rating of the best devices for the beach, etc. What they find with a metal detector on the beach

Warm greetings to all treasure hunters. There are 3 months left until summer, the time for rest will soon begin, but for the search engines of antiquity this is the hottest and most difficult time of work, during which every self-respecting “comrade” must “shovel” several tons of earth and sand.

Today we will discuss the secrets of the beach search for gold and other valuable things with a stingy and MD, well, we will look at the old beach, try to find the most optimal places to search for coins and jewelry.

Anyone who does not know what a "stingy" is, then I briefly explain, a stingy is a device for removing and washing river soil (sand, silt) from the bottom, in order to find valuable items, resembles an ordinary scoop with holes in shape (in general, see the photo ).

You can make a buyout yourself from various items (which are literally lying around at hand, for example, from a sewer pipe), or you can buy it in stores for treasure hunters.

It is advisable to make the stingy pole longer, so that the search depth is greater.

What are we looking for on the beach and in the coastal water strip? The most desirable goal for us is, of course, gold jewelry: rings, chains, earrings, etc.

Why do people lose rings in water? The fact is that when immersed in water, there is a sharp temperature drop (more than ten degrees), the bather's blood vessels narrow sharply, and the ring flies off the finger easily and naturally (especially for heavy rings).

And of course, with sudden jerks and muscle tension when swimming in water: chains break, earrings locks open, in general, “prey” is added for us all the time, in proportion to the number of wealthy people, and of the fashion for gold.

We will also come across: a modern "walker", lighters, keys, corks, foil and other garbage.

Some people take off their gold jewelry before bathing and put it, for example, in a pack of cigarettes, wrapped in foil, or just in a pocket of trousers or shorts.

Then, as beer, wine and dominoes are introduced, in general there are losses. All this applies to the modern beach.

From the equipment to the beach search, we take with us a metal detector with a sealed coil, I recommend Garrett devices (,), the “beach workers” of them are excellent, we are looking for a native mono waterproof coil in shallow water and on the beach itself.

We also need a shovel and a "stingy".

A beach search can be carried out in any place where people are resting, sometimes the fact that a noisy company of 10-14 people was organizing a night picnic at this place the other day, a bunch of bottles or cans, the campfire will be an excellent reference point for you.

Usually coins are thrown into the sea, then to return again. For a deeper search, we recommend that you buy scuba gear, but this is a topic for another article.

Search for coins on the ancient beach. "Fatty places" by the reservoirs

Of course, there are much more finds on ancient beaches than on modern ones. In addition to jewelry, you can find ancient Tsarist and Soviet coins on it, and mind you, these coins and jewelry were accumulated on some beaches of antiquity 100-150 years old.

The place of the old beach in most cases is very difficult to determine, the only accurate reference point can only be that the story was guarded.

Well, if you find a beach that was popular in the old days, and even near an ancient, large and rich village, it will be a great success, there will be a lot of finds.

I'll tell you a secret, this summer I'm going to one beach place where I swam as a child in the eighties of the last century.

It is now abandoned, if the result of the survey disappoints me, then swim to the other side, there is a large village, which is more than 300 years old, I think that coastal strip is unlikely to “upset” me.

We proceed in the same way as in the search on a modern beach. We are looking for a metal detector in the sand and in shallow water, we sow “scanty” silt and sand (you can buy it so that you can certainly survey the entire territory both on land and in water).

If you have already touched on the theme of the beach and rivers, then in parallel you can look for traces: the old port, the mill, the bridge - these fat places, champions in the number of coins.

All successful searches and valuable finds. Till.

It seems that the search on the beach is unremarkable and there shouldn't be any special difficulties. I have already talked more than once about the nuances of beach search, nevertheless, this topic continues to excite many search engines who "chase" golden happiness. Therefore, in this short article I will once again voice some of the secrets of the beach search, so that your exits to the sandy beach will be crowned with success.

You already remember that when going to the beach, you need to be ready to dig up "tons" of plugs and caps - you can't get away from this, but in order to somehow protect yourself from this scourge, use the smallest coil that you have. Most often, this measure gives a positive result, and in conjunction with headphones, you can fully experience all the delights of a beach search, because the beach is a place that is visited by people every year.

Those who are tipsy lose some things without noticing it. And of course, it is the beach that can please the treasure hunter with chains, rings, and other very interesting and valuable things. So I'll try to add to your collection of beach surfing knowledge.

What you need to know about surfing the beach

I have already said that the best time for a beach search is the opening and closing of the bathing season: spring (early summer) and autumn. And it's not about the grass, it's just not there; it's all about onlookers, of whom there are always plenty of them on any beach. But, this does not mean at all that it is impossible to search on the beach in the summer. On the contrary, summer beach it is very practiced, you just need to go out early in the morning or in the evening. In addition, remember that searching on the beach is not prohibited, so you should not be afraid that someone will see you and so on.

As I said above, there is nowhere without headphones on the beach. Especially if there is a wave and you went out in the midst of the day, when there are so many vacationers that the background noise completely drowns out the sounds from the device.

If you are looking for a time when vacationers are on the beach, do not violate their personal space, as much as you would like it. Few people like it if a man with a metal detector walks a meter away from him, digs holes, and so on. Treat people the way you would like to be treated. In general, try not to conflict, do not run into rudeness.

On any organized beach, there are several places where the search can be especially successful. For example, at changing rooms, along the coastline and at depths of up to 1 meter. In the first case, everything is clear, people change clothes, often something falls out of their pockets, falls into the sand, gets lost. In the second example, bathers run into the water, jump, and chains, earrings, sometimes rings, also fly off their bodies.

However, it makes sense to walk around the rest of the beach. It so happens that someone takes off their jewelry (chains), puts them next to them on a blanket, and then, by a random movement of the hand, the whole thing is thrown aside ... and the owners do not always find such losses.

Also, you should always carefully check the bushes adjacent to the beach (only carefully, as some fans of relaxing in the bushes may even need to relieve themselves). Often, it is near the bushes that the most interesting finds occur.

Although they say that searching on the beach implies being stingy (and they correctly say), you can additionally throw an MPL (small infantry shovel) into your backpack, since in some situations such holes are dug on the beach that you will not be very stingy. Also, a scoop (seedling scoop) does not hurt.

Searching on the beach on a sunny day is a challenge for the body. And if many still somehow cope with the compensation of the water balance, then they think about the danger of being sunburned at the very last moment. Hence the advice: if the sun drives away from the beach, be sure to wear a Panama hat (namely Panama, since your face and neck will burn in a cap), a light shirt on your body so that your shoulders, arms and body are covered. Well, some pants, at least below the knees, to maximize protection from the sun. It is better to put your feet in sneakers, so as not to accidentally hurt yourself on glass, shells, corks.

On a sunny day, sunglasses will be useful, they really help against glare on the water.

And finally, if people on the beach, it is recommended to wear a shovel and a stingy not on the shoulder, as they usually wear a shovel in the fields, throwing the tool bayonet on the shoulder, but lowering the working part of the tool down so as not to injure anyone.

That's all for now, another piece of advice in your piggy bank.

Both have a small but relatively constant income if done right.

Those who set out to find gold do not want to be content with little. Their finds will be rare but much more valuable.

There have been enough romantic gold prospectors at all times. And some of them really got rich.

In order to become a successful gold digger, you need to figure out how to look, where to look and what to use for this.

You don't have to open a new mine to find gold. This requires great material opportunities, which not everyone has.

But people lose a lot of gold jewelry, jewelry made of precious metal through carelessness or in a hurry.

It is this lost gold that we will look for: in the ground, on the street and on the beach.

Gold can be found wherever a person steps, but in some places the probability of finding is much higher.

As a rule, these are places for swimming and gathering of people in the city.

On the beach

Finding gold on the beach is perhaps the most lucrative activity among seekers.

Beach and coastal strip of the sea, lake or river ─ often happens here crowd of people.

And it’s hard to find a person who hasn’t lost anything on the beach at least once in his life.

It also happens that before going for a swim, a person takes off his gold jewelry and puts them in the pocket of his clothes lying on the sand.

Coming out of the water, he often forgets about it, and, before dressing, shakes off the sand from his clothes, and with it the jewelry. In addition, some on the beach are drinking, which distracts attention.

One way or another, on the sand and under water, as a rule, the seeker has something to profit from gold.

Finding gold on the beach is more convenient in the evening or at night when vacationers mostly dispersed. Flashlights are used at nightfall.

Experienced searchers find up to 10 grams of gold every day. Taking into account its cost in a pawnshop and organizations that accept scrap gold (from 1300 rubles per gram), it comes out very well.

Under the water

Not all vacationers know that a temperature drop of more than 10 degrees leads to a narrowing of the blood vessels, as a result of which the fingers are slightly reduced in diameter.

Because of this, people entering water, which is often much colder than air, lose rings and rings in water.

They not only swim in the water, but also frolic, play different games. In this case, it often happens that gold chains with crosses or pendants made of precious metal are torn. They also lose their gold watches. That's why find more in the water gold than on the sand in the coastal zone.

Most valuable finds come across at a depth of about two meters.

How to search for gold of waters with water? A long-handled search rake and metal detectors that can work in water will do.

Different places on the street

Parking and recreation areas for tourists also attract gold seekers.

People on vacation are relaxed, move a lot, play active games.

At the same time, rings, signet rings and other gold jewelry are lost, and here it also makes sense to look for gold.

Squares and squares, where thousands of people pass in a day, can also become places of valuable finds, especially after meetings, celebrations and events.

In park areas where the townspeople relax right on the grass, having picnics, someone's valuable gold jewelry may also remain.

City flower beds and flower borders- places where it is easy to lose a ring or chain when working with the ground and bending over it. If people are planting or weeding flowers while wearing gloves, then removing the gloves increases the likelihood of losing the ring. In the city, significant areas in the form of flower beds are planted with flowers. It is worth looking.

Increased likelihood of finding close to jewelry stores and workshops. Here people often lose gold jewelry or small gold parts of damaged chains, broken gold clasps of bracelets or watches. Small grains of gold and gold shavings are carried out on the soles of the master.

Necessary equipment

To search for gold on the beach or in the recreation area, it is enough to have powerful flashlight, metal scoop and beach rake.

Special devices will also not interfere if you plan to search and mine for gold in the ground: a magnet and a detector.

In the sea or lake, at a depth of more than 1.5 meters, you may need snorkeling mask.

Search by rake

They are made from ordinary country rakes. Three parallel grooves are cut on the teeth with a grinder.

Strengthen between the teeth:

  • self-tapping screws with a length slightly shorter than the teeth;
  • fishing hooks.

This design firmly clings to chains, rings, earrings and other objects in the sand, holding them firmly.

The rake can be used both in the sand and under water, walking along the bottom of the coastal zone.

Rake in the water, get ready clean them after each run, because they will bring a lot of garbage and plants.

It is good if the device has long handle- this will greatly increase the chances of success.

Using magnets and detectors

Search magnets and metal detectors help make your searches more effective. Digging gold in the ground without them is completely impossible, because you need know where to dig... Finding gold in the ground without a metal detector is possible only by accident.

Gold, being a diamagnet, not detected by an ordinary magnet.

A powerful search magnet detects and holds gold jewelry that contains ligature─ an admixture of metals, which gives strength to gold that is too soft and ductile.

Rings, signet rings, bracelets, hairpins, cufflinks and other jewelry are made of ligature gold. If the ligature component is nickel, then a neodymium magnet will easily find such gold. A neodymium magnet can be bought in stores in Russia at a price of 1000 rubles.

A metal detector is also possible choose in the store according to their financial capabilities, starting from two thousand rubles:

  1. Dart ─ F100 ─ waterproof metal detector, price ─ 6900 rubles.
  2. AQUAmarine 100 ─ underwater metal detector, price ─ 5000 rubles.
  3. Minelab GOLD MONSTER 1000 is a highly efficient, powerful detector, price ─ 59,990 rubles.
  4. SHRXY GP-PINPOINTING is a compact detector (pinpointer) for beginners. The search depth is small ─ 5 cm, but it has high accuracy, it easily detects small metal objects in the layer of the earth, the price ─ 2,000 rubles.

Search on waste landfills

Russia is extremely rich in gold placers.

Its numerous deposits have been discovered from the Moscow region to the Kolyma.

Among them there are mines worked out industrially and lost interest for the owner enterprises. For this reason, they are closed.

Here, in small areas that were inaccessible to the bulldozer, there are still many gold. At such landfills, called man-made placers, you can search for gold.

Until 2016, no private individuals were issued a license for prospecting for gold at worked-out landfills. Those who arbitrarily searched for gold in the abandoned mines, were prosecuted.

Now, any citizen of Russia has the right to obtain a special license and, as a private prospector, search for gold at man-made placers. According to the new regulation, it is possible to search for gold only by a superficial method, exclusively with hand tools... The use of explosives is prohibited.

The initial registration of the license costs 7,500 rubles, it is valid for five years. Renewal of the license - 750 rubles.

It is important to choose the right search site. It is more likely to find gold in places where nugget placers were found, where ingots weighing more than 50 grams were found. Otherwise, you can waste time and work.

It is known that in the Urals, Chukotka, in the Amur Region they found nuggets weighing from 3.5 to 16 kg... Hence, it makes sense to look for gold in these places. But maybe there are nugget placers located closer to your place of residence.

The reports of the territorial geological fund contain information on geological developments, in which you can find the details of interest, it is available for review.

On the waste dumps, judging by the experience of private gold prospectors, one search engine using a metal detector can find up to 20 grams gold in a day.

Nuggets are more common on the surface of the reservoir, once raised by a bulldozer during technological development.

After the industrial extraction of rock, the rock with a gold placer appears on the surface.

In the small basins located here, it is possible to find large pieces of gold. But it happens that such plots are littered with folding rocks, and you can't approach gold.

Small cracks are not captured by the bulldozer; they can also contain nuggets weighing more than five grams. In short, you need to show great patience in order to find your first nugget.

Where can I take what I found?

At first glance, the most difficult thing seems to be to find gold. But an equally simple task ─ find a buyer and correctly sell the found gold. At the same time, lose money and time as little as possible.

Ligature scrap and decorations

Handing over scrap gold in Russia is not a problem, in any city there are pawnshops that accept gold from the population. To successfully hand over the found jewelry, you will need an identity card.

If the found jewelry is still is valuable as a product or historical object, it can be found on it the buyer who will take it more expensive scrap.

Pure metal

Many private miners are in a hurry to bail out money for nuggets and sell gold to the owner of the enterprise, who had previously selected the main gold from the site, at a price of 1,500-2,000 rubles per gram.

This is extremely disadvantageous for a private gold digger. After all, this is the price of buying up ligature gold scrap (broken chains, bracelets, earrings, etc.), not pure gold.

Even popular gold 585 test from which jewelry is made, contains only 58.5% pure precious metal.

One can imagine how much money a private prospector loses, having spent a lot of time and effort searching for pure gold and selling it at the price of scrap gold.

The same goes for refined gold mined from radio components and devices.

In order to profitably sell pure gold, you need to know this:

  1. Market value gold at the time of sale.
  2. The price will be affected beautiful view nuggets. They are often bought by collectors for whom this is important. The most expensive ones will be paid for pure nuggets without foreign inclusions. Collectors buy beautiful, bright nuggets at a price higher than the market price.
  3. Nugget value also depends on the place where it was found... For collectors, this is an important point. For those found in a little-known deposit, they will pay more.
  4. Pawnshops, buying is not the best way sell gold nuggets; in the best case scenario, only half of their actual value will be paid for them. To hand over gold to a refinery, where it is purified from impurities, is also to lose 20% of its value.
  5. There is no rush to sell. It is necessary to calmly and carefully look for the right buyer, be it a collector or a reseller.

Useful video

The beach rake is the first tool in the beginner's arsenal. The video shows how to do them yourself:

Conclusion

It is unlikely that the search for gold privately can become the main source of income and the main occupation in life. But with the right approach, this fishery can bring substantial financial assistance, especially for those who have a penchant for looking for lost jewelry and are not shy about those around them.

Searching remember the ethics of conduct in public places, do not inconvenience vacationers with your excessive zeal.

In contact with

This article is about beach metal detecting. In it we will tell you which metal detector is best used for this type of search, touch on the types of this search and highlight its features.

Types of beach search

Below we provide a classification of the different types of beach search.
Depending on the type of search, you may need different metal detectors, fixtures and tools.
So the search options on the beach:
  1. Search in the coastal area without entering the water
  2. Search in shallow water (knee-deep in water)
  3. Search waist-deep in water or deeper (no diving)
We refer the diving option to underwater search.

Features of beach search without entering the water

In this case, many ground metal detectors are suitable for us, because there is no need for tightness of the device.
However, one must consider searching on salt sand (sea beach). We will talk about this a little later.
In this kind of beach search, we explore the coastal area, especially where the surf is. In this place, recently washed sand is visible, a kind of strip.

Why is it so important?
The point is that water moves targets (coins, rings, earrings, etc.). And the surf zone is, as a rule, a part that has not yet been explored by anyone. That is why this part is of interest to us in the first place.

Features of search with entry into the water (knee-deep)

In this case, we go into the water. And when we find the target, then we need to dig it up somehow. Hands are busy (in one hand the device, in the other - a shovel)!

In addition, there is a danger that we will drop the detector into the water. Yes, and sometimes there is a need to connect the other hand to digging out the target, and you need to put the metal detector (apparently in the water, because we are standing for generations in the water). Then we need a metal detector with a sealed housing!

Features of the search on the beach with entry into the water up to the waist

In this case, we definitely need a scuba and a metal detector with a sealed housing. Better yet is an underwater metal detector (albeit with a shallow immersion depth).
In addition, this type of search is performed in a diving suit (so as not to freeze and so that the legs are protected), with a mask (so that you can still look at the detecting area) and underwater headphones (since underwater metal detectors only send sound to the headphones , and besides, there is a chance to soak simple headphones, if only by accident).

How does the process take place?
You walk up to your waist with the device. A target signal is sent to the headphones. You put the metal detector aside (it does not sink, but floats next to you in a semi-submerged state. This is how underwater metal detectors work). Scuba dig out the target. withdraw it. Next, take a metal detector in your hand and continue your search.

What is the best metal detector for beach searching?

If you want to search on the shore (1st type of beach search), then any cheap metal detector will work for you.

Why any cheap metal detector?

There are several reasons for this.
  • You do not need to dig deep (no more than one bayonet of a shovel), therefore, a large depth is not needed
  • You do not need high sensitivity (because otherwise the metal detector will react to very small inclusions in the sand, but there will be no target in this place)
  • You don't need ground balance
There are expensive metal detectors with a special function - searching on salty soils or beaches. Yes, cool! Only money is a pity. After all, you can get by with a simpler model with the same success.
Yes, and sand can damage it, or it can be stolen (after all, you are on vacation and do not always walk with the device).

What will be useful for a beach metal detector?

A beach metal detector will benefit from being able to discriminate between aluminum corks and beer can tongues.
There are such types of metal detectors.
For example, Golden Mask 1+. It can be detached from foil. Its price is less than 20,000 rubles.
The second option for a cheap metal detector for the beach is the ACE-250 (but you won't be able to rebuild the ICE from the foil).

For searching according to the second option it is best to use a metal detector with a sealed housing. For example, Garrett AT PRO.
Because short-term immersion in water is not scary for such a device. They are usually designed for immersion up to 3m.

It is best to use an underwater metal detector to search waist-deep in water.
As a rule, underwater metal detectors can be submerged up to 10m, up to 30m, up to 50m, up to 60m. There are different options.
As you yourself understand, any of these devices will suit you.
All of these devices are sealed and send sound to the headphones. Usually underwater.
For example, Whites Beach Hunter or Minelab Excalibur.
The coils for such metal detectors are quite small in size - 8 ". Because sand will still enter large holes.

Search on the sea beach

This type of search means that the sand is salty. This is a very difficult ground for a metal detector. And not every device will be able to cope with it.

On sensitive devices ( for example, Sorex PRO by AKA) there will be false target signals. And there will be no goal. This salty sand will give such a signal.

But ACE-250 is quite suitable for such a search.

Underwater metal detectors are generally designed to operate in salt water.

For some devices, the instructions explicitly state that they cannot work on a sea beach. For example: Fisher F11, Fisher F22, Fisher F44.

Beach search tools with metal detector

When searching on the beach, a scuba will be extremely useful, which will sift sand through its holes and leave finds.
Depending on the type of search, the scuba's handle can be very short, medium or long.
Often they lean on the scuba with their feet to dig in the target and not bend over.
In addition, a pinpointer will be useful for quickly removing a target.

And besides, without it it will be difficult to work on a rocky bottom.

Rocky bottom

Sometimes you have to dig when the pond has a rocky bottom.
Such a place can hardly be called a beach. But people swim here too. Moreover, in such places there are old and interesting finds.
Therefore, the equipment should be as follows:
  • Sealed metal detector
  • Shovel
  • Scoop
  • Pinpointer
In this place, you have to get the finds stuck between the stones. Therefore, a shovel will most likely be useless (but sometimes it is still needed). You have to dig it out with a shovel. and localize with a pinpointer.

Beach search tactics

We recommend the following beach search tactics ...
You tune away from the foil, and if you cannot, then such signals simply do not dig.
Yes, of course there will be gaps. However, you will not waste time digging out such signals. And you will be able to make valuable finds without bothering yourself with digging traffic jams.

The second thing to do is take a small coil: 6x9 "or 7" or 8 "or 9". This is necessary in order to successfully work at the trash site. And there is always a lot of rubbish on the beaches.
And you do not need to dig deeply, because all finds will lie on the bayonet of a shovel, and large holes will simply crumble.
Smaller coil is possible. But it has too small a coverage area. This is not practical.
The above coil sizes are verified by experience.

Beach Search Finds
When searching on the beach, most often you come across coins, rings, chains, earrings, crosses, etc.
These are the most common finds.
Coins can be both old and modern. Depends on the age of the beach.

And, of course, there will be a lot of traffic jams and fishing gear, among other things.

Best Metal Detectors for Beach Search

Below we list the best metal detectors for beach hunting. We have already mentioned them earlier, but now we will just list them in one place:
  • Garrett ACE-250
  • Golden mask 1 plus
  • Garrett AT Pro
  • Minelab excalibur

On any, even the most "shallow" beach, there can be interesting finds

Russia is one of the most promising countries for gold prospecting. We are not even talking about the gold nuggets of the Urals, Siberia, the Far East - why go so far? There is gold in every city, you just need to look closely. No, this is not a bank or a jewelry store, but the most ordinary city beach. Do not be surprised, it is the beach - after all, according to ITAR-TASS, on the shores of only Italian beaches there are lost things totaling 25 million euros. And this is one billion rubles!

Russian beaches are no exception. Moreover, there should be much more gold here: after all, only Russians, going to the beach, do not even think to leave rings, earrings, bracelets, watches and other jewelry at home. Each of us has probably heard from friends about the jewelry lost on the beach. So they lie and wait for at least someone to come for them. Perhaps it will be you. Why not?! You just need to look up from the TV, get off the couch and go to the nearest beach with a metal detector. In Russia, beach search is not yet developed at all, this is not America or Australia, where the beach is surveyed by search engines from morning to night!

I started doing beach search with a metal detector about three years ago. Precisely dense, for the sake of gold. My friend, Alexander, told me about the wealth of beaches, while showing me a couple of rings with diamonds that he found on the beach. Without thinking twice, we went to the familiar beach in Torbeevo.

Torbeevo is a recreation center near Moscow, I go there to take a steam bath for the weekend. Even I, with my age-old search experience, did not think that this tiny beach, 30 meters in length, would infect me with the gold rush. Accustomed to the volume of beaches in the warm regions of Anapa, Thailand and Malaysia, I did not pay much attention to the local "small" beaches. But as it turned out, in vain. After 5 minutes, Alexander took out the first silver ring, moving away from the shore with a metal detector only knee-deep, followed by an earring, and then such a bite began, from which anyone would get sick with a gold rush. And if you think about it, it is no accident that there are so many golden decorations on such a small beach: after all, not just vacationers often come to the recreation center, but quite wealthy people. And God himself commanded to swim after a bathhouse and a glass. So those same chains with gymnasts and bolts with stones remain in the water.

Until the very frost, until the ice began to interfere with the search, every weekend we got out to various beaches of the Moscow region. My catch with the Excalibur metal detector that year amounted to more than 180 grams of gold jewelry, a bank of silver, namely a bank, I am not exaggerating. All finds can soon be seen in the Irkutsk Treasure Hunt Museum, you can come and see for yourself.

Of course, you can say that you have already collected everything, but the beauty of any beaches is that every year more and more lost decorations remain on their shores.
