Paris has always been, is and will be one of the most romantic cities. Therefore, absolutely everyone should visit it at least once. The best way to get there is, of course, by plane. This will save you a huge amount of time. In this article I will tell you about Paris airports, the most convenient routes and how not to get lost in the city. Get ready to plunge into beauty. Largest airports in Paris

This romantic city is the capital of one of the largest countries in Europe, as well as an important economic, political and, of course, tourist center. Therefore, the transport network is well developed here.

There are three major airports in Paris (the names are probably familiar to you): Orly, Charles de Gaulle, Beauvais... The first two receive international flights, the last one - travel within the country. Now in more detail about each of them.

This airport is the largest in the world and the main one in France. Here every day many flights from all countries of the world (including from Russia) are accepted, as well as various connecting flights.

International airport code - CDG.

The airport is located at a distance of 25 kilometers from Paris and has 8 terminals: 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F and 3. It is best to familiarize yourself with the airport map before arrival, because, despite all the signs, it is quite easy to get confused there ... The terminals are connected by a free metro, and there are crossings between the first two. There are also several train stations at the airport, which provide train connections to major European cities in France and Belgium.

Upon arrival, when you have already received your things and were able to catch your breath a little, you need to think about how to get to the city.

At Charles de Gaulle airport the most inexpensive way are electric trains... Of course there is always an alternative rent a car or order a taxi... There is even a special service that allows. A person with a sign will already be waiting for you at the airport and quickly deliver you to the desired place. You will be able to reach any place in comfort and will not get lost anywhere. In addition, ordering a taxi will cost you less than renting your own car.

International airport code - ORY.

There are two terminals: Western and Southern. The first one accepts local flights, the second one - international. You can move between them absolutely free by metro.

You can get to Paris in different ways. First, you can use buses, trains, metro or.

The most popular way is by train RER... The RER B suburban train can take you to the center (you can get off at the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame or Gare du Nord) or to the suburbs of Paris from any terminal from 6 a.m. to midnight. The price for a ticket per person is 12.05 €, the journey will take you about 25 minutes by train and 8 minutes by the ORLYVAL shuttle bus, which will take you to the nearest RER station "Antony".

For those who do not like trains, there is tram number 7, which runs between the outskirts of Paris and the airport itself. The journey will take about half an hour and will cost only 1.9 €

Still, one of the most convenient ways to get to the center of Paris using public transport remains bus ride.

There are two convenient options:

  • bus 183;
  • Orlybus.

On the first one you can get from the western terminal in about an hour to the station Porte de Choisy - a ticket costs 2 €. Orlybus takes you from any terminal to Denfert-Rochereau Station in about twenty minutes. But such a trip will cost much more - about 8.70 €.

In addition, there are several more buses: Le Bus Direct, bus 91.10, shuttle Magical Shuttle. And also you can order a taxi () or rent a car. But in the latter case, you should be careful - although this option may be the most convenient and will make you very mobile, you can still easily get lost in an unfamiliar city. Be sure to download city maps or set up your GPS before you travel.

You can get back to the airport using all of the above methods.

However, when arriving at this airport, please be aware that at night (from 23:30 to 6:30) planes do not fly here and the building is closed for this time - it will not be possible to spend the night.

How to get to Paris

Paris airports: how to get to airports, official websites, telephones, flights, taxis, services and services of Paris airports.

The capital of France has several airports, but the leading positions are occupied by two air harbors - Charles de Gaulle and Orly. Both air hubs have international status. Orly, however, is 42 years older than his "colleague." Charles de Gaulle is a relatively young airport - it was opened in 1974.

Charles de Gaulle airport

Nevertheless, the main air gateway to Paris is Charles de Gaulle airport, located 25 km northeast of Paris in the Ile-de-France region. The full name is Paris - Charles de Gaulle or Roissy - Charles de Gaulle. The air unit is distinguished by its impressive size and unusual design. About 150 thousand passengers are served here every day. The air terminal complex consists of 8 terminals. You can view the flight schedule on the airport's official website. The exterior of the airport, its inclined glass galleries, often inspire filmmakers who often shoot the air harbor in their films.

Orly airport

Orly Airport is located 14 km south of Paris in the communes of Orly and Villeneuve-le-Roi. It is the second busiest airport in France and serves mainly for domestic traffic. You can view the flight schedule on the airport's official website. Orly was opened back in 1932. Today, the air terminal complex includes two terminals. This air harbor is closed at night, all night flights are redirected to Charles de Gaulle.

While waiting for your flights, you will have plenty to do at both airports. Air harbors offer their passengers a solid range of services. Many wishes of tourists have been taken into account here. For example, at Charles de Gaulle airport, game consoles with large screens are provided to entertain customers. Orly offers massages and spa treatments.

Beauvais airport

Beauvais Airport has taken a catch-up position, now it is used mainly by low-cost carriers, it is located quite far from the city center, but it is gaining more and more popularity.

  • Where to stay: the starting point for traveling around the capital of France is best to choose directly Paris - there are many hotels, and all entertainment and transport interchanges are always at hand.
  • What to see in Ile-de-France: the brilliant Versailles and its "predecessor" - the estate of Vaux-le-Vicomte, the "eighth wonder of the world" - the abbey of Mont Saint-Michel, the cathedrals in Rouen and Chartres that amaze with their grandeur, the magical world of Monet -

Greetings, my dears! Today we will talk about how to get from Charles de Gaulle to Orly airport.

These Parisian airports are the most popular with tourists. In addition, to some places you can fly only from Orly, and the main flow of flights from Russia comes to Charles de Gaulle.

Therefore, the question often arises, in what ways can you move between these two airports.

In this article:

If you need to leave quickly or at night

For those who do not want to waste time traveling in public transport and experience the inconvenience associated with it, it is best to go to the city by taxi. Also, at night it may be the only option.

At Charles de Gaulle airport, parking is available at almost every terminal.

If you arrived at the terminal:

  • 1 - exit 24,
  • 2A - exit 6,
  • 2C - exit 14,
  • 2D - exit 7,
  • 2E - Gate 12 on Arrivals Level,
  • 2F - Gate 11 on Arrivals Level,
  • 3 - exit from the arrival hall,
  • 2G - blue gate.

These exits will take you to the baggage handling and claim area, and from there to the legal taxis at the Paris air gate.

Don't trust people who offer their services near the baggage claim area. These are unlicensed carriers and can be dangerous to travel with.

A legal taxi can be recognized by the green light on the roof of the car. All cars are parked in a certain place at the airport station square.

Approximate cost of travel between airports - from 60 euros during the day. At night in a taxi there are completely different tariffs - 15 or 20% higher than daytime.

Remember that the driver is entitled to charge an additional fee for:

  • transportation of an animal,
  • oversized baggage,
  • night trip,
  • carriage of the fourth passenger, including a child.

You can book a taxi in advance, it will be cheaper and the price will be fixed:

  • Alpha Taxis - order by phone: 01 45 85 85 85
  • order online on the site.

Taxis are equipped with meters, so you can see the exact amount right away. You can pay:

  • by bank card,
  • by bank check,
  • cash.

Traveling with a licensed taxi will be safe and comfortable.

By public transport

1. By bus

A special bus runs between Paris Chal de Gaulle and Orly airports Les Cars Air France, line 3. Its stop is located between terminals 2F and 2E, at the exit from the arrivals to the ground floor.

The cost of a trip on this bus is 25 euros.

The interval of its movement is 30-40 minutes. Travel time - 5.55 - 2.00, seven days a week. The trip takes about 60 minutes.

You can buy a ticket at an automatic or regular ticket office. If you want to use the machine, prepare coins in advance. Automatic cash registers do not accept paper bills. In addition, only bank cards with chips can be used there.

At a regular checkout, you can pay in any convenient way. The only negative is long and constant queues.

In Orly, the bus stop is located:

  • South terminal: exit K,
  • West Terminal: Exit D.

2. By train

There is no direct rail link between the airports. But you can take the train with a transfer.

Roissy Airport - Charles de Gaulle has two very convenient train stations:

  • Aeroport Charles-de Gaulle 1
  • Aeroport Charles-de Gaulle 2-TGV

To get to Orly, you need the first station.

RER line B suburban trains leave from it.They go to the center of Paris and to Gare du Nord ( Paris-Nord).

Timetable of these trains you can look here.

From this station, you will need to take the RER line B from Charles de Gaulle to the station Antony, and then change to the Orlyval line to Orly.

The travel time taking into account the transfer is less than 1 hour 30 minutes. The cost of the trip is about 18 euros.

IMPORTANT! Ticket automated terminals only accept:

  • coins,
  • bank cards equipped with a microchip.

It is quite difficult to change a banknote at the airport: there are always long queues at the ticket offices. Therefore, it is better to take care of the availability of coins or a suitable card in advance.

In order not to adjust to the transport schedule

If you like freedom of movement, independence and car control, then it will be convenient for you to rent a car.

This can be done right at the airport, or you can take care of your comfort in advance and make a preliminary reservation through web site... In this case, a car will be delivered to you by the time you arrive at the airport.

The advantages of such a trip are obvious:

  • you do not depend on public transport and its congestion,
  • you can travel by minibus with a large company,
  • it is easier to transport an animal or travel with a child by car,

  • maximum comfort for an elderly or low-mobility passenger,
  • the cost of renting a car and fuel can be lower than the price of numerous tickets for public transport,
  • easy to travel with oversized luggage,
  • at the end of the trip, you will return to the airport in your rental car without any problems.

You can take a car from the arrivals sectors of almost all airport terminals, or book it in advance.

Remember that car rental is possible if:

  • you have an international driver's license,
  • your driving experience of at least 3 years,
  • you are at least 21 years old.

Keep track of the validity of your driver's license. If you need to change it in a month or less, you may not be given a car for rent.

It is useless to prove that you will have time to return home before the expiration of your rights. The agent will refer to the company's internal instructions, and you still won't get the car. Therefore, it is better to check the suitability of all documents at home.

You can drive from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport to Orly airport using the A104 and A4 highways. From de Gaulle airport, take the N2 exit on the A104.

Travel time will take you no more than 1 hour 10 minutes excluding traffic jams. On this route, traffic jams occur even late in the evening or early in the morning.

Traveling to Paris is a matter of honor for many tourists. The romance of the old city, the business opportunities of La Défense, world fashions, museums, historical sites ... This city cannot be seen in one trip.

But I hope your trip will be fruitful and will bring you only pleasant emotions.

That's it for today. Until next time, dear friends!
