Where do Russians go to rest statistics? Where do Russians rest? Heading south

I'll make a reservation right away: the phrase "Where to go to rest abroad" implies that the rest should be rich and varied. Otherwise, it’s better to buy a box of vodka and go to the country house: it’s cheaper, but the effect is the same.

So, we have considered the item "Nowhere". And now - about where to go on vacation abroad in 2019.

Many now, due to the economic crisis, the fall of the ruble and the rise in the dollar exchange rate, refuse to travel abroad. Some people do this because they really cannot afford to travel abroad in 2019. But many refuse to travel just because they do not know where to go on a budget vacation abroad. But there are many such places! And in this article we will consider three of them - the cheapest, in my opinion (we do not take into account Belarus).

Since we are talking about 2019, when, we will consider only those cities and countries where you can go inexpensively. I present to you three places where to go on vacation abroad in 2019 and not go broke.

Where to go abroad inexpensively in 2019? This photo is one of the options described below.

Option 1: Thailand, Pattaya

One of the advantages of Pattaya is the low prices for food, transport, souvenirs, etc. You can see this by reading the article. Another difference between Pattaya is that it is often cheaper to fly here from many regions of Russia on your own than as part of a package tour.

And to the question "Where to go on vacation from Pattaya", the answer is unequivocal - to the island of Ko Lan! The photo shows one of the best beaches on the island, Tien beach.

Here's what a quick search on booking systems showed:

Where to go on vacation abroad? Option 2: Laos, Vang Vieng

You may not have heard that in this incomprehensible country you can have a civilized rest. But for me the answer to the question "where to go on vacation abroad at the current ruble exchange rate" is unambiguous: to Laos! And it’s not only about the exchange rate, it’s not for nothing that this country has long been chosen by tourists from Europe, America and South Korea. Yes, Laos has two major drawbacks:

1. Lack of the sea.
2. It is difficult to get there directly.

But this country has two main advantages:

1. Very beautiful nature.
2. Very low prices.

But if you want to see this beautiful nature, you should not go to the capital of the country Vientiane -. Go to the village of Vang Vieng, which is two hundred kilometers from the capital. Moreover, this can be done without visiting Vientiane. You can get to Vang Vieng on a budget like this: buy cheap air tickets to Bangkok, take a bus to the northern Thai town of Nong Khai or Udontani, from where direct buses go to Vang Vieng. Yes, the path is not easy, but believe me: it's worth it! Here are a couple of photos of Wang Vieng to prove it:

Where to go on vacation abroad in 2019 after Turkey and Thailand? Of course, in Vang Vieng! Only there you can swim in this amazing lagoon ...

... and live in hotel with such a beautiful view for mere pennies!

Prices hotels in Vang Vieng not at all high: for 15 dollars a day you can rent an excellent room with a view of the river and dragon mountains of unearthly beauty. You can choose a hotel in Vang Vieng on different booking systems:

Entertainment in Vang Vieng is also worth mere pennies. For example, a full day kayaking on mountain rivers amid amazing landscapes costs only $ 12! But I will not paint for a long time, because we have a separate article about. By the way, as far as food is concerned, in Laos for a Russian tourist it is even more familiar than Thai. The French colonialists taught them to love rolls and other European food, which they happily cook and sell for mere pennies. Welcome to Laos, friends!

Where to go on vacation abroad? Option 3: Turkey, Antalya

For many, Turkey has always been a country of "seal" rest by the pool or on the hotel beach. But in times of crisis, Turkey is becoming one of the places where to go to rest abroad can also be those for whom vacation is a real journey, rich and varied. After all, Turkey is a very interesting country if we go beyond the limits of the olinclusive. Have you seen what mountains are in Turkey? And the waterfalls? And the ancient cities? If not, then it's time to discover this amazing country! You can get to Turkey not only by a package tour: you can find cheap flights from Moscow to Antalya dollars for 300-400 for two round trip, the hotel can be found through the reservation system.

In addition, prices in Turkey are very reasonable for Russians. After all, the exchange rate of the Turkish lira, like the ruble, has also fallen sharply recently. Therefore, if in the same Thailand, translated into rubles, prices have doubled, then in Turkey - by 30 percent. What is not an argument in favor of Turkey when answering the question "Where to go to rest abroad at the current ruble exchange rate?"

Russians are more actively exploring foreign resorts. According to the official statistics of the Federal Tourism Agency, for 9 months of 2011, 11 million 370,000 Russians went on vacation abroad. This is 11% more than in the same period in 2010. Rostourism has not yet calculated data on departures throughout 2011.

But this information has already been prepared by the countries themselves, where the Russians traveled. The most popular tourist destination among Russians remained Turkey and hardly any state will be able to compete with it in the near future.

According to the official statistics of the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, in 2011 the country was visited by 2 million 714 960 Russians. For comparison, in 2010, 2.4 million Russians visited Turkey for tourism. It is interesting that the Russians in Turkey for the first time in history overtook the Germans in terms of the number of tourists. The gap, however, is small - only 400 people, but the Turks assure that they are satisfied with this trend. After all, Russians, even taking into account their favorite all inclusive, spend much more on holidays than Germans.

In second place in popularity among Russians, Spain, which in 2011 was visited by 918 573 guests from Russia. According to the Spanish Institute for Tourism Research, the flow of tourists from Russia compared to 2010 increased by 41.8%.

Catalonia remains the most popular region among Russians - it received almost 60% of the total tourist flow (495,000 people). More than 100,000 Russians (12%) accepted the Canary Islands, followed by the Balearic Islands (85,300 tourists) and Andalusia (60,200).

Closes the top three France... And although the official annual statistics have not yet been calculated there, in the tourist office of France EUROMAG assured that the number of Russians in 2011, according to preliminary data, increased by 20%. Considering that in 2010 France was visited by 680,000 guests from Russia, therefore, last year the tourist flow exceeded 800,000 people.

This is much more than, for example, in Italy, where the official statistics of visits have been calculated so far only for 9 months - during this time 465,268 Russians arrived. Compared to the same period in 2010, the growth was 29%. At the end of the whole year, based on trends, allow Italy to gain a foothold in fourth position.

But some Italian regions showed record figures for the growth of Russians. For example, 43% more Russians visited Florence in 2011 than in 2010. And the growth of Russian tourist flow to Venice was 45%.

Fourth place Italy can share with Czech Republic, which was visited by 569,961 Russians for the whole year. Last year, the flow of tourists from Russia to the Czech Republic seriously increased: if in 2010 this country was visited by 413,756 Russians, then by the end of 2011 their number increased by 156,000. The growth was almost 38%.

Following the Czechs comes Austria, for which last year was a record for Russian guests. As the magazine was told EUROMAG in the tourist office of Austria, last year the alpine republic was visited by 400 396 Russians, which is 31% more than a year earlier. And the number of overnight stays increased by 25.6%, exceeding 1.5 million.

The Austrians emphasize that Russians are much more likely than before to visit Austria in summer. For example, the number of overnight stays in Vienna in the summer months increased by 30.4%, but the largest increase was shown by Tyrol - this federal state was visited by 31.1% more Russians over the entire year.

Currently, Russia ranks 11th among other countries in statistics for the number of overnight stays in Austria.

IN Greece Russians began to travel more by almost 37%. The country-record for the speed of issuing Schengen visas to Russians (2-3 days) last year received 380,729 Russian tourists (sixth line).

The eternal competitor comes on the heels of Greece - Cyprus... During the year, the island was visited by over 330,000 Russian citizens, which is almost 100,000 more than in 2010.

At present, the Russian market for Cyprus is the second largest after Great Britain and, as Cypriots say, in recent years it has “grown by leaps and bounds”. For comparison, in 2005 less than 100,000 Russians visited Cyprus. The Cyprus Tourism Organization predicts that in 2012 the number of Russian visitors will exceed 400,000.

Russians hold the second place in the number of tourists in Estonia - Finns occupy the first line there by a huge margin. According to the Estonian Department of Statistics, 203,204 tourists from Russia visited the country last year. But at the same time, if the growth of tourist flow from Finland amounted to only 1% (Estonia was visited by 841,000 Finns), then the growth of Russians - 43%, and compared to 2009 - 116%.

11% more Russians in Croatia - the Balkan state was visited by about 190,000 people who made more than 1.6 million overnight stays (+ 8%).

And closes the top ten Switzerland, which last year received 179,168 tourists from Russia, which is 14% more than in 2010. And the number of overnight stays increased by 10% - to 513,700, reported EUROMAG at the Swiss Tourism Office. For comparison, the growth of tourist flow from Russia to Switzerland in 2010 was only 3%, and in the crisis year of 2009 there was a decline of 0.5%.

However, Switzerland could be squeezed Great Britain, which in three quarters received 158,000 Russians. Preliminary data for 2011 will be published in April, the magazine was promised EUROMAG at the Russian office of Visit Britain. In 2010, the United Kingdom received 170,000 Russians in 12 months.

Following the United Kingdom is Norwaywhich grew by 8%. According to the SSB (Statistical Central Bureau), the Scandinavian country was visited by almost 90,000 Russians who made 186,832 overnights. However, the increase in tourist flow from Russia to Norway in 2011 was significantly less than in 2010, when it increased by 18% at once compared to 2009.

The growth of tourist traffic in Belgium amounted to 33.1% - more than 84,000 Russians visited it during the year.

I added and Slovakia: the growth of tourist flow there was almost 30%. The number of Russian tourists increased from 21,425 to 27,776 people who made 105,242 overnights in the country (this is 33% more than in 2010). The average number of days that Russians began to spend in Slovakia also slightly increased - from 3.7 to 3.8.

The leader in terms of the increase in tourist traffic from Russia was Albania... As the Albanian Ambassador to Russia Sokol Gioka said at a press conference in Moscow, the flow of tourists from Russia to his country in 2011 increased by 70% - to 8,000 people.

Germany, according to the German tourist office, in 2011 was visited by almost 20% more Russians than a year ago. They could not give absolute figures, but they assured that Russia was among the ten leaders in terms of the number of tourists, after Holland, Switzerland, USA, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, France, Belgium and Denmark. And in terms of growth dynamics, Russia ranks sixth, following Brazil (23%), India (22%), China (21%), Poland (22%) and Hungary (21%).

Hungary in terms of the number of overnight stays by Russians, it added 21% - 432 715. Interestingly, the Russians set an absolute record in the last month of the year: the number of nights spent by tourists from Russia in December amounted to 26 510, which is 52.7% more. The most visited region of Hungary was Budapest, where Russians spent 255 612 (+ 13.5%) overnight stays.

Russians set records in Ireland - for 9 months of 2011, 1215 Russians visited the emerald island for tourism, which is 40% more than in the entire 2010. Apparently, the simplification of the visa regime had an effect (since July, Ireland has allowed Russians on a British visa).

But at the same time, it is interesting that much more Irish visited Russia - in the first nine months of last year, 5,591 Irish tourists visited Russia (an increase of 21%).

Analysts say that the tourism industry is the most resilient to crises. Geopolitical, climatic and economic shocks happen, but people never give up rest at all, there is only a redistribution of tourist flows and a reduction in the average ticket price. Days.Ru tried to figure out which directions could become alternative for the Russians after the ban on flights to Egypt due to the explosion of a Russian plane, the terrible terrorist attack on the beach in Tunisia and tensions with Turkey, aggravated after the destruction of a military aircraft of the Russian Air Force.

ON THIS TOPIC

Tours to Tunisia, Egypt and Turkey attracted primarily by low prices and the opportunity to save money thanks to the all-inclusive system. "At the moment, it is difficult to talk about an alternative in the same price category. Some hotels in Sochi, for example, offer service according to this scheme, but prices differ significantly from Egyptian and Turkish ones. Although the situation may change," the regional director of KAYAK in Russia commented on the current situation and Poland Vera Pershina.

Representatives of the tourism office of Dubai, the largest emirate of the United Arab Emirates, have already expressed their desire to compete for Russian tourists who prefer resorts with a hot climate in winter. The current winter season was marked by reports from several popular Dubai hotels, which offered the Russians special conditions - 30-40% discount on accommodation. At the same time, tour operators note that the cost of accommodation in three- and four-star hotels in the UAE has always been comparable to prices in Egyptian hotels.

Israel has also prepared to receive tourists from Russia this winter. Local hotels have also begun to offer discounts for our compatriots, and some hotels have even switched to an all-inclusive system for the sake of Russians. But no matter how hard the hoteliers and tour operators try, market players believe that there is still no absolute alternative to winter Egypt.

"Of course, you can consider the beaches of India, Vietnam and Thailand, but at a comparable cost, a tourist will not receive full board and the usual level of hotels. In addition, the flight range to these countries is not suitable for tourists with small children," the director told Dnyam.Ru Department of Marketing and Advertising of the TBS Group of Companies Maria Konabeeva.

Because of the euro exchange rate, many Russians abandon the idea of resting at the ski resorts of the Old World, so the "Olympic" slopes of Krasnaya Polyana (Sochi) promise to become the undisputed leader among the destinations for winter skiing. However, the question arises: is the only Russian resort of international class capable of meeting such a great demand.

There are much more replacements for summer Turkey. According to the forecast, more than half of the tourists will choose domestic resorts, mainly the beaches of the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea. The second part will go to Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Cyprus, where they are always ready to receive Russians, and many hotels in these countries operate on an "all inclusive" system. There are also quite budget tours to Italian resorts (Rimini, Ravenna), where three meals a day and use of the beaches are provided.

Despite the optimism, all the representatives of travel agencies we interviewed agree on one thing - price rise is inevitable... According to Maria Konabeeva, next year you can forget about tours with full board and a decent hotel costing up to 80,000 rubles. "Our forecast for the average bill on foreign destinations next summer (in the absence of Egypt and Turkey in the range of tour operators) - from 100,000 to 120,000 rubles for two adults with a flight," she said.

Those who are not used to skimping on vacation will traditionally go to the Caribbean resorts (Cuba, Dominican Republic), Mexico, as well as the beaches of the Maldives and Seychelles. True, prices in dollars for tours here remain the same: these corners of the world have never been guided by Russian travelers, so it is hardly worth waiting for discounts and special offers aimed at keeping the flow in these areas.

Market specialists are confident that tour operators will have to focus on on the sales of domestic Russian tours, not only beach tours, but also sightseeing tours. As for foreign destinations, Greece, Cyprus and Montenegro are likely to become leaders. "In our recent survey, Barcelona has the most searches. Rome, Milan and Prague are also in the top ten. If we talk about more expensive destinations, Goa and Thailand may remain popular," predicts Vera Pershina, KAYAK.

Freedom is good. But when there is too much of it, this is where serious problems begin. When a person is on his own territory, he somehow restrains himself, tries to behave somehow rationally.

But once you find yourself, for example, abroad - and there are no barriers, no restrictions. People believe that whatever they do in another country will remain in it.

But in practice, this leads to much more global consequences. This forms an opinion, and it is not always positive enough. Therefore, a fairly biased attitude has developed towards a number of nationalities abroad.

And the Russians are among them. Moreover, alas, this is one of the most disliked nations abroad - after, perhaps, the Germans. And in most cases it is not about the general attitude towards the nation, but about the attitude towards those tourists who do not give themselves any account of who allow themselves too many freedoms abroad.

Consider 10 countries where Russian tourists are not liked - and when visiting them, it is advisable to take this fact into account - and, who knows, maybe such a negative opinion can be completely changed.

10.Ukraine

Location: Western part of Ukraine

Of course, many will object to this statement, because Russians and Ukrainians have always considered themselves almost brothers. But the fact remains - sometimes you can stumble upon a real misunderstanding.

If you speak Russian, then you run the risk that you will be treated somewhat prejudiced, and also that you will not, for example, be served in restaurants and other places with public service as well as if you spoke Ukrainian. It's a shame, but true. Although not everywhere, fortunately.

9.Turkey

Location: all regions

Although you can hear a lot of unpleasant words from the Russians about the behavior of the Turks in the tourist area, the opposite can be heard even more. Russian women are often criticized by Turkish women who consider them unnecessarily promiscuous.

Men, on the other hand, are criticized for other vices, the love of excessive drinking, the inability to behave competently when the action takes place at the buffet, and so on. And there are more than enough myths about Russians, one more incredible than the other.

8. France

Location: Courchevel

Of all the place in France, it is this wonderful ski resort that has the fame of the most favored by Russians. This has been going on since the collapse of the USSR, and although the majority of modern visitors to the resort are educated people, still everyone still avoids Russians - they sometimes behave very shockingly. Although, all the same, most of the service is focused specifically on Russians - you cannot find a restaurant where there would be no menu drawn up in the appropriate language.

7. India

Location: Goa

Goa has long been considered one of the favorite Russian resorts. But only many Russians who come there, to put it mildly, do not contribute to improving the image of their own country. Oddly enough, many crimes in Goa are committed by Russians.

And often we are not even talking about tourists, but those people who registered in Goa, engaged in some kind of small, not very legal business, and so on. Although India has tourism benefits from this nation, its losses are also high.

6. Egypt

Location: all regions

It is possible, in fact, to duplicate the situation with Turkey. On the one hand, Russian tourists are loved here. They bring very large profits - but there are also a lot of problems from them.

Although Egyptians are also not famous for being overly humble, Russians often go beyond reasonable limits with regard to their partying, gathering and drinking. Therefore, their reputation cannot be called too positive, they are very disliked here.

5. Latvia

Location: Riga

For many, the attitude of the inhabitants of the Baltic to the Russians will be inexplicable - some consider them almost blood brothers, while others, on the contrary, do not tolerate them. Sometimes you can hear Latvians sarcastically discussing Russians, hoping that they do not understand their language. Usually the following recommendation is given - when visiting Latvia, speak English to each other. Then you will be served in various establishments more quickly.

4. Germany

Location: all regions

The paradox is that the Germans are considered one of those nations from which it is customary to dislike tourists abroad. But they also show an open antipathy towards tourists from Russia. Competition?

However, in a number of situations they can be understood. For example, here they do not really understand such a passionate attitude to "freebies". After all, if you give a Russian a buffet, which is common in Germany, he can get carried away to such an extent that he will have to hint that it is time to finish.

3. Italy

Location: all regions

Italy has always been famous for its wine. It is here considered one of the best in the world, and therefore the inhabitants of this country are excellently versed in alcohol. But in such quantities as the Russians, they cannot use it. It is customary in the country to savor drinks, and not take them for fun. This trait is very annoying for the locals. But I must admit, Italians are also very noisy people, especially when it comes to watching sports broadcasts.

2. Greece

Location: all regions

The situation with Turkey and Egypt is repeated again. Russians visit this country very often - the reason for this is the low, especially by European standards, prices.

And for some reason, the low price liberates people and allows them to believe that everything is now possible, and therefore loose behavior slips here and there. And the Greeks are beginning to be very skeptical about Russian tourists, although they provide them with a wide range of services.

1. USA

Location: all regions

Perhaps the best example of how Russian tourists can be discriminated against. Alas, the consequences of information wars are still fresh in the memory, and therefore, as the Americans are biased towards the Russians, and vice versa. And this is expressed not only in visa problems, which also take place. This is also expressed in the fact that, walking down the street, if you speak your native language, you will surely feel sidelong glances.

The Russians are actively preparing for the holiday season. We learned from the experts what directions will be popular this year and how much will the summer vacation cost.

Julia Domracheva, PR-manager of Aviasales:

This summer, Russians will traditionally rest at our resorts - Sochi, Crimea, Anapa. Favorable flights from Moscow to Sochi are now available from 6 thousand rubles. in both directions at the beginning of June. It is also cheaper to fly to Crimea in June - tickets cost from 7 thousand rubles. round trip.

From foreign destinations, we single out Tivat, Barcelona, Burgas, Thessaloniki, Rome, Prague and Tbilisi. Tivat and Burgas are comparable in terms of the cost of the flight - from 13.5 thousand rubles. It is easy to find tickets to Barcelona from 11 thousand rubles. with a transfer, direct flights will leave at least 17 thousand rubles. It is cheaper to fly to Thessaloniki with a transfer in Athens, for example, in August tickets cost from 9,200 rubles. Rome and Prague are popular at any time of the year, but in summer tickets are more expensive than in other seasons - from 10 thousand rubles. and of course with a transfer, since direct flights can be bought from 14 thousand. Tbilisi is also in demand all year round, and for the summer tickets are available from 10 thousand rubles. with a transfer in Baku.

Natalia Kharitonova, Head of Content Marketing, Travelata:

Top 5 holiday destinations in 2017: Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Tunisia, Bulgaria. For comparison, in 2016 - Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus, Spain. It is important to note that Turkey is almost half booked for 5 stars, since the prices even for luxury hotels are now very tolerant, besides, Turkey has been waiting for all last summer.

For the current period, summer tours are booked 57% more than last year for the same period. The average check is still higher than last year.

By country - this year Turkey is in first place - 25% of all applications for the summer. The average bill is 84,000 rubles. for two, including flight and accommodation. Then Greece - 118 thousand rubles, Cyprus - 97 thousand rubles, Tunisia - 76 thousand rubles. and Bulgaria - 78 thousand rubles.

If you look at the minimum cost of the tour, then, for example, you can buy a ticket to Turkey for two for a week, starting at 40,000 rubles. (Alanya, all inclusive, June, for August - about the same prices), Greece, starting from 45,000 rubles. (August - 55,000 rubles).

Maxim Pichugin, General Director of Cherekhapa Insurance:

Analyzing customer requests, we can already say with confidence that the priority area for Russians will be the European Mediterranean coast. Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Italy are showing good dynamics of demand. The number of tours arranged by Russians online in 2016 increased by 30%. The forecast for the current year is even more optimistic.

Our fellow citizens miss the all-inclusive and 5-star service. The economy in the country is recovering after the crisis period, and despite the political situation, Turkey and Egypt will again become leaders in 2017 (if they open).

The cost of a package tour and a trip organized on your own can vary several times. But the range of services will also differ. The cost of package tours to Egypt and Turkey today starts from 15-20 thousand rubles. per person. In the UAE - a little more expensive - from 30 thousand rubles. The cost of a holiday in Turkey, booked through online services, starts from 10 thousand rubles. For 50 thousand rubles. you can relax in the all-inclusive option.

Rodion Kadyrov, Head of Internet Marketing Department, MyLinker:

We compare the number of applications with the last year and see that Abkhazia and the Krasnodar Territory are still leading. In Crimea, everything is as in 2016: they go to rest in April and until the end of summer.

The popularity of Abkhazia can be explained by the low price for accommodation - it is really possible to find housing with a payment of 300 rubles. per person. More wealthy travelers go to Sochi, because after the Olympics, the cost of living has increased several times.

Alexey Baraev, head of Alpissimo:

We are recording an avalanche-like growth in the demand for organizing hiking in the Alps. Tourists are attracted by trekking - a format of recreation that they themselves call "non-trivial". Trekking season in the Alps is summer and September, and most bookings are traditionally made between April and July. This year, already in January and February, we see a 387% increase in bookings compared to 2016, which was very successful. The cost of weekly trips varies from 37 to 53 thousand rubles.

Lyubov Yakubovskaya, Deputy Director, Wildlife Conservation Center:

If we are still talking not only about popular, but also about exotic, new directions, then we should mention the Arctic. State forces are thrown into the promotion of this direction, and this can give a real influx of tourists along the Arctic routes. As ecologists, we urge future tourists to be responsible in relation to the visited natural sites. Northern nature has a very modest "safety margin", it is easy to break, but almost impossible to restore. And the places there are interesting, unusual.
