If the ticket is indeed purchased, then you will see an itinerary receipt with information about the flight and the passenger. How do you know which booking system you need? As a rule, it is indicated in the itinerary receipt of an electronic ticket. Otherwise, you can check with the carrier operator or agent, or simply check all four sites sequentially.

Here we will disappoint you: you cannot check the ticket reservation only by surname and initials. Even when you call the call center of the airline, the operator will ask you additional information: ticket or booking number.

  • The airline will replace your ticket, but you will have to pay a fine. As a rule, in this case, your ticket is canceled, the money paid minus the amount of the fine is returned to the passenger, and the client gets the opportunity to book a new ticket.

Be sure to check the correctness of the data entered at the time of booking the ticket. Then - double-check them in the itinerary receipt: both personal data and information about the route (date and time of departure, points of departure and destination, and others). The sooner you discover a typo or mistake, the higher the probability of correcting it without unnecessary nerves and penalties.

The itinerary receipt of an e-ticket may not come to the mail immediately after making a reservation, but within some time. There is no need to panic. Such delays do happen. But if after an hour the long-awaited letter is not there, you should call the hotline of the airline or agency to clarify the situation.

It is better to print the itinerary receipt and take it with you on the trip. This is especially true when traveling abroad - passport control or customs officials of another country may ask you to provide tickets for the way back or confirmation of further movement.
