The history of the development of the air harbor
The air berth began his story in the distant 70s of the last century. In those days, the Government of the Soviet Union decided to organize competitive tours, the essence of which was to find the best project for the new aerosplex. Initially, architects presented a project in the form of a surround slightly elongated design. However, starting direct work, it was decided to use a completely new project - a round terminal.
Construction work was produced in a short time. An airflow of an unusual design, which was given a consonant name with the famous Yerevan temple, began to serve the first passengers in 1980. The cargo terminal was built and put into operation after 8 years.
In 2001, by order of the Armenian government, the air marina was decided to transfer for 30 years to rent an AEROPUERTOS Argentina 2000 organization. In early 2014, the construction of a new terminal for servicing international flights began, which began its work in 2017.
Air harbor today
The only civilian airproof of the Armenian republic is the Avia Svaturns Airlines. The old terminal, as we previously noted, has a round shape, externally reminiscent of alien plates. Photo you can see below.
The base size corresponds to the area of \u200b\u200b2-football fields. The center of the terminal is located a room in which the dispatch service and a modern restaurant operates. In the above rooms, panoramic windows overlooking the take-off strip are provided.
The old air complex was deservedly considered the real pride of the Ancient Republic. However, the current owners were still forced to decide on its closure in 2011 and the construction of a new terminal in close proximity to the old.
To commission the new terminal succeeded just by the 20th anniversary of the independence of the Armenian Republic. After reading the online scoreboard of Yerevan airport, passengers will be able to know exactly whether the right aircraft can be poisoned in a timely or as far as the departure is delayed.
By creating a new terminal, architects wanted to create a structure, which does not have a single analogue. And they certainly managed to realize them in reality. After all, the first impression that everyone gets, going to the new airport - a sense of unprecedented volume and space.
Such impressions are created thanks to the unusual walls and roofs, which were decided to build from a durable glass foundation. When designing the aircraft packaged, all previously approved international norms were taken into account. Therefore, passengers will be able to take advantage of the full list of services that will help make the waiting time more comfortable and convenient. From the central part of the Armenian capital, the pier separates only 10 km.
