I wonder where in Moscow you can swim this summer? Where to plunge into cool water and wash off the city dust, fry in the sun without fear of picking up any infection.

There are many beaches in Moscow and the Moscow region, but you can not swim everywhere. The water and the coastal area must meet health standards, and this is not always possible. After all, there is a "human factor" that is capable of making a garbage can even from the most heavenly corner in one day. This does not happen on paid beaches. You pay for admission, for this you get regular cleaning of the territory, lifeguards, a toilet, a changing room and, possibly, a small cafe with soft drinks and ice cream.

Moscow region beaches where you can swim in 2018

Of course, ideally in the summer it is better to go to the sea, however, our desires do not always coincide with our capabilities. A trip to the countryside in such cases will help to imagine that you have a mini-vacation and where in such cases to go, where can you swim in the Moscow region in the summer of 2018?

First of all, when you think about where you can swim and sunbathe near Moscow, the first thing that comes to mind is Zhivopisnaya Bay, which is three kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road along the Novorizhskoe highway.

This place has been tested over the years, the water is clean and the beach is comfortable.

It was considered a good form to go swimming on the Klyazma even 100 years ago. Since then, little has changed and the Klyazminskoye reservoir is still popular among lovers of water and solar treatments.

The beach in Troitskoye is considered clean and well-groomed, although I am personally embarrassed by the permission to put cars so close to the water. Surely there are lovers and wash your car, taking this opportunity?

Beaches on the Istra reservoir. A little the picture is spoiled by cottage settlements, which with their fences block the approaches to the water, but on the beaches "Pyatnitsa" and "Trusovo", you can approach the water.

Careers in the suburbs where you can swim

Lytkarino is a huge lake, formed on the site of a sand pit. The beach is popular, so on weekends it can be very noisy and crowded. Although, the beach is divided into free and paid zones, and, of course, in the paid zone it is more comfortable and no one runs over the heads of sunbathers. To get to the Lytkarinsky quarry, you need to go to the Novoryazanskoe highway and at Tokarev turn onto the Lytkarinskoe highway.

Sand quarry near Biserovsky lake

It is difficult to count all the reservoirs of Moscow and the Moscow region where you can swim and sunbathe. After all, old beaches are closed, rebuilt, new ones open and it is impossible to keep track of everything. But you can make your own rating of the best beaches in Moscow and the Moscow region, where you rested and know exactly all the advantages and disadvantages of these places. Isn't this the necessary information? It is so rare that you can carve out a day for a beach holiday and you really don't want this day to be ruined.

On hot summer days, it is vital for each person to somehow cool down. Swimming is a great way to do this. Of course, it is best to go on vacation somewhere to the sea and enjoy the clean and gentle water there. You can go out of town, for example, to your dacha or village, and happily splash around in the local reservoir.

But what should those residents of the city of Moscow do who have no opportunity to escape from the capital in the summer and comprehend all the delights of water entertainment? Fortunately, they were also lucky, because there are several places in the capital where swimming is officially allowed in the summer. One of them is the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow), located near the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station.

Swimming in Moscow in summer: is it possible?

Surely, many residents of such a large metropolis as Moscow often wonder whether it is possible to swim in local waters at all. After all, we live in a big city with a huge number of cars and a rather polluted environment.

However, not everything is so bad in the capital of Russia, and you can find a place in it where you can swim safely for your health in the summer months. Every year Rospotrebnadzor checks all this research and a variety of other aspects and become the criteria on the basis of which a list of beaches is compiled, where you can not only sunbathe, but also swim.

Before the beginning of the swimming season in Moscow, which usually starts on June 1, the list of permitted beaches is published in various media, so every resident of the metropolis can find out about them completely free.

What are the requirements for swimming places

What must be on the beach to be recognized as suitable for swimming? Firstly, it is high-quality water in the place where it is located. The reservoir must be suitable for bathing and comply with all microbiological and sanitary-chemical standards. This is precisely what Rospotrebnadzor establishes through laboratory research. The sand available on the beach, play areas allocated specifically for children, and

In order for the beach area to meet all the necessary requirements, all last year's sand must be removed from it. The reservoir must be cleared of foreign debris, and its disinfestation is also carried out. The entire beach area should be cleaned, toilets cleaned.

A survey by divers working in the Moscow City Search and Rescue Service is mandatory. They conduct an initial survey of the water, then and finally a re-survey when the swimming season is already open.

In places of mass bathing, there should be no eddies, fast currents and groundwater outcrops to the surface. On the shore there should be signs with the inscription “Swimming place”, and in the water the border of a place suitable for swimming is marked with orange buoys. They should be located at a distance of up to 25 meters from those places where the depth is 1.3 meters or more, and the intervals between them should be 25-30 meters.

Every 50 meters of the beach, stands with lifebuoys and cords are installed. They should be no more than 5 meters from the edge of the water. Of course, there must be rescue booths and medical posts.

Swimming places in the capital

By the beginning of the 2016 bathing season, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the city of Moscow declared only 12 reservoirs suitable for bathing, but as many as 47 beaches were named where you can relax without bathing. It was noted that in 2015 there were the same number of swimming places, so you can count on the fact that in 2017 there will be no less, and maybe even more.

The list of places of recreation where it is possible to cool off in a local reservoir includes:

  • levoberezhny beach (Moscow);
  • three beaches in Serebryany Bor;
  • beach complex "Beach Club";
  • large garden pond;
  • three places in a large city pond and Lake Black;
  • lake White;
  • Meshcherskoye;
  • Troparevo.

Beach in the north of Moscow

Organized recreation areas where you can safely swim in summer are located in different districts of Moscow, and even in Zelenograd. In the very north of the city, there is the Levoberezhny beach, reviews of which claim that this place is perfect for family and youth recreation both on a hot day and at any time of the year.

In general, this beach appeared here in the 50s of the last century, so the indigenous people of the area have been coming here to swim for many years. When the swimming season is not yet open, people come here to cook barbecue, sit with friends and just enjoy nature by the water and take a walk in a pleasant place.

The beach "Levoberezhny" in Moscow (Russia) is quite well equipped. For those who come here by car, there is free parking, designed, however, for a small number of places. There is also a parking for bicycles equipped with special places. So, no matter where guests have not arrived with their own transport, they can always leave it nearby.However, on a hot day it is very difficult to find a free parking space for a car for those who decided to visit the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow) .How to get here, know not only residents of nearby , so there are a lot of people who want to visit this place in the summer.

The beach is located in a small bay. Due to the fact that various ships do not pass through it, which often ply along the canal here it is quite clean and even warms up almost to the bottom. However, approximately in the middle of the bay there are cold springs, which it is better not to fall into, otherwise it can bring legs together.

Since the beach was formed thanks to the quarry that was used to build the canal, the sand on it is local and rather coarse. Sometimes stones can be caught, so you should be very careful when walking barefoot. The bottom is also sandy, the entrance to the water is neat and gentle. The beach also has a special area for bathing children.

Beach improvement

Since the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow) fell under the jurisdiction of the Severnoye Tushino Museum and Park Complex of Moscow in 2015, large-scale reconstruction and landscaping work has begun here.

What is on the beach for vacationers

Today, the guests of this place are waiting for benches for rest, pretty gazebos, all kinds of bridges and ladders, neat paths. For the townspeople who are fond of sports, a whole sports area has been created, where there are various simulators and a special fenced area where you can play volleyball. For children, there is a whole playground with various slides, swings and a sandbox.

There are lifeguards and a medical service on the beach, there are special changing cabins, a shower and a toilet. Those guests who get hungry during their stay can have a snack in the cafe available here.

How to find the beach "Levoberezhny"

Having learned about such a wonderful place, many residents of the city, who for some reason did not know about its existence, will definitely want to visit the "Left Bank" beach (Moscow). How to get to it? This question will certainly occupy their minds, so it is necessary to answer it as soon as possible.

The beach is located within the city limits on the left bank of the Moscow Canal, not far from the place where the Moscow Ring Road intersects with the Leningradskoye Highway. The easiest way to get here is from the Rechnoy Vokzal metro station. To do this, you need to take a bus number 138, 958 or 270 or a minibus 138m or 701m. You need to get off at the "Boarding" stop, from which you have to walk about 600 meters.

It takes longer to go from the Planernaya metro station. You will need a bus number 173 or a minibus 176m, which will bring citizens to the stop "Pribrezhny proezd, house 7". From it you will have to walk about a kilometer. The Khovrino railway station is also located nearby. From here you can also get to the beach if you take a bus going towards the reservoir.

Beach Guest Impressions

Many residents of the capital go to relax on the Levoberezhny beach (Moscow). Reviews about this place are more positive. People like the way everything has been ennobled here. Free toilets and the presence of a cafe are very pleasing to vacationers. Some, however, lack the sun umbrellas and sun loungers that are not available here.

Many are disappointed by the fact that on the hottest days there are a lot of people here. But this is understandable, because everyone wants to swim. It is also embarrassing that power lines pass very close by. Most likely, this place will not be very pleasant for those who want to relax in silence. After all, music is playing quite loudly in the cafe, so you won't forget about extraneous sounds on the beach.
