Metro and MCC
The metro will be open all night from December 31 to January 1. Trains will run at intervals of 3.5 to 15 minutes. By the way, they launched it for the holiday.

Moscow center ring(MCC) will also operate without interruption on New Year... The intervals of movement, as well as for the metro, will be from 3.5 to 15 minutes. As always, within 90 minutes from the moment of the first pass, passengers will be able to transfer free of charge from the metro to the MCC and vice versa.
In addition, on Christmas Eve - on the night of January 7 - the Moscow metro and the MCC will be open to passengers an hour longer - until 2 am.
Land transport
On New Year's Eve, all night and most popular ground transport routes will be available to passengers. 59 routes and 11 night buses will operate around the clock, 98 routes - until 3:30 am. Buses will run every 25-30 minutes.
In addition, on Christmas night, 163 buses and trolleybuses will carry people until three in the morning. There will also be 11 night routes.
From December 29 to January 3, the routes of 16 buses will change due to the "Journey to Christmas" festival: А, М1, М2, М3, М5, М6, М10, М27, No. 15, No. 38, No. 101, No. 144, No. 158, no. 904, H1 and H2.
- M1 - from Kravchenko street to the Lenin Library metro station, then along the M27 route to the Park Pobedy metro station;
- M2 - from the Fili stop to the Lenin Library metro station, then along the M3 bus route to the Luzhniki sports complex;
- M27 - on the section from the Karacharovsky overpass to the Lubyanka metro station and from the Park Pobedy metro station to the Lenin Library metro station, then along the M1 route to Kravchenko street;
- M3 - on the section from the Semenovskaya metro station to the Lubyanka metro station, as well as from the Luzhniki sports complex to the Lenin Library metro station, and then along the M2 route to the Fili stop;
- A - from Luzhniki to the Kropotkinskaya metro station instead of the Komsomolskaya metro station;
- No. 15 - when traveling from the southern vestibule of VDNKh, the route will shorten to Strastnoy Boulevard. At other times, it stretches to the Novodevichy Convent;
- M6 - to the metro station "Nagatinskaya" will follow through Bolshaya Nikitskaya and Mokhovaya streets along Nikitsky boulevard and Znamenka street. In the direction of the Silicate Plant, buses from the Lenin Library metro station will go along Vozdvizhenka, Novy Arbat streets, then along Garden Ring to Kudrinskaya Square and further on your own route;
- M10 - instead of the Kitay-Gorod metro station, they will follow to the Mayakovskaya metro station;
- No. 101 - from the Megasport Sports Palace to Tverskaya Zastava;
- No. 904 - from the 4th microdistrict of Mitin to Tverskaya Zastava;
- No. 144 - from the metro station " Teply Stan”To the cinema“ Drummer ”.
- М5 and № 158 - to Balchug street instead of Lubyanka metro station;
- No. 38 - from the Rizhsky railway station to the Trubnaya metro station instead of Kitay-gorod.
- Н1 - in the sections from Ozernaya Street to the Udarnik cinema and from Sheremetyevo airport to Tverskaya Zastava;
- H2 - from Belovezhskaya Street to the Lenin Library metro station with a U-turn through Znamenka and Mokhovaya Vozdvizhenka streets.
Personal cars
On New Year's holidays, part of the streets in the center of Moscow will be closed for motorists and made pedestrianized because of the Journey to Christmas festival. The restrictions will be in effect for five days - from December 30 to January 3. These days, Tverskaya Street from Mayakovskaya to Okhotny Ryad, Mokhovaya Street from Vozdvizhenka to Tverskaya and Okhotny Ryad Street will be closed completely.
Also, because of the festival, Petrovskie Lines Street, Rakhmanovsky Lane, Neglinnaya Street, Krapivensky Lane, Ilyinka, Varvarka and Moskvoretskaya Streets, Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge and Vasilyevsky Spusk Square will be completely blocked.
In addition, sections of the following streets will be closed:
- Strastnoy Boulevard from Tverskaya Street to Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street;
- Bolshoi Gnezdnikovsky lane from Tverskaya street to house 7;
- Maly Gnezdnikovsky lane from Tverskaya street to Bolshoy Gnezdnikovsky lane;
- Leontievsky lane from Tverskaya street to Bolshoy Gnezdnikovsky lane;
- Tverskoy passage in the area of house 8, building 1, along Tverskaya street;
- Bryusov lane from Tverskaya street to house 21;
- Newspaper lane from Tverskaya street to 5;
- Nikitsky lane from Tverskaya street to house 7, building 1;
- Georgievsky lane from Tverskaya street to house 1, building 1;
- Mokhovaya street from Tverskaya street to house 1, building 1, and from Vozdvizhenka street to Bolshaya Nikitskaya street;
- Bolshaya Dmitrovka street near the house 1/30;
- Theatrical passage from Bolshaya Dmitrovka street to Neglinnaya street;

The timetable will also change during the New Year holidays. commuter trains... The time of movement of suburban trains on New Year's and Christmas nights will be extended until 2:00 am. Aeroexpress trains will operate as usual.
December 30 to January 7 commuter trains will follow the schedule for Saturday, January 8 for the schedule for Sunday. And on January 9, trains will return to their regular working hours.
In total, 24 TsPPK trains will be canceled, and 15 of the company's electric trains will depart later at night on January 1 and 7. Most of the changes will take place in the schedule of express trains of the Yaroslavl direction of the railway.
For example, the daily train No. 6059 Pushkino - Moscow at night on January 1 will depart 40 minutes later (at 0:27). And the train No. 6676 Moscow - Monino on January 1 and 7 - 1 hour 40 minutes later (at 1:50). Express number 6677 Monino - Moscow on New Year's Eve will be released at 0:09 - 58 minutes later than on other days.
The streets of Moscow are among the most popular meeting places for the New Year. And then, in new year holidays few stay at home. Muscovites go for a walk at the "Journey to Christmas" festival, go ice skating on giant ice rinks and tubing slides, ski and sledding ... On Tverskaya only on foot
"Travel to Christmas" gathers thousands of people in the capital who are not afraid of frost or slush. A dense crowd of people walk along the sidewalks of Tverskaya, moving from site to site, looking at the light installations that have adorned Moscow. Tverskaya Street - from Triumfalnaya Square to the Kremlin - is given to pedestrians for five whole days. Local overlaps in one lane will begin tomorrow, December 29. And then the main street of the city, as well as Mokhovaya, Okhotny Ryad and almost all adjacent lanes will be completely closed - this will happen on Saturday night, December 30, and will only open on January 3. On the last day of the old year, all approaches to Red Square, including Varvarka, Ilyinka, Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge, will be closed. Cars will be allowed there again only on the third day.
Subway all night
To get to the center on New Year's and on the days of overlap is, of course, the easiest way to take the metro. For the second time, on December 31, the subway will operate all night without interruption. According to the head of the Moscow Metro, Viktor Kozlovsky, trains will run on the night of January 1 at intervals of 3.5 to 10 minutes. The Moscow Central Circle will operate on the same schedule. That is, having met the New Year and listening to the chimes in the center of the capital, it will be easy to return home.
By the way, Muscovites began to receive gifts from the metro a week before the New Year. Two theme trains were launched on the Circle Line.
Will walk in the New Year and land transport- a total of 168 routes will operate until the morning.
But on Christmas, January 7, subway trains will extend their working day until 2 am, and 174 ground transport routes will also run.
Who is out of town?
Adjust for the New Year and electric trains. Their schedule changes for all holidays, and starting from December 29th. As the press service of the Central Suburban Passenger Company reports, due to the fact that there are fewer passengers, some trains are canceled during the holidays. From December 30 to January 7, they will run according to the Saturday schedule, January 8 - according to the Sunday schedule, on the ninth everything will return to normal.
In addition, on New Year's Eve in some directions, the last night trains will leave the stations an hour later.
On Leningrad direction, which is serviced by another carrier company - Moscow-Tverskaya suburban passenger train, - from January 1 to January 8, all electric trains, both Lastochki and ordinary ones, will run on a weekend schedule. All changes have already been uploaded to the applications with timetables - "Electric trains" and "Yandex.Electric trains", you can also look at the Russian Railways website.
The fare will rise in price, but not by much
Going on a trip, do not forget - from January 2, fares in Moscow will change - a trip on Troika will rise in price by one ruble, instead of 35 rubles, you will have to pay 36. Prices for season tickets will rise by several dozen rubles. But insignificantly - the maximum rise in price is 3.8 percent.
But electric trains, as promised by Maxim Dyakonov, the executive director of TsPPK, most likely will not rise in price next year. But in the first half of the year, the company is going to finally release an application through which it will be possible to buy single tickets for trips, which will relieve passengers of the need to run to the ticket office every time - today 70 percent of tickets sold at ticket offices and vending machines are one-time tickets.

And on January 1, the turnstiles will be removed in large buses with "accordion". In return, a validator will appear at each door. The city also promises to tighten control. In total, according to the calculations of Mosgortrans, 60 buses and 15 tram routes... Removing the turnstiles will speed up the journey for each passenger by an average of 5 minutes.

How transport will work in other major cities
St. Petersburg
In St. Petersburg, on New Year's and Christmas, the metro and ground transport will operate around the clock. However, this does not mean that all buses, trolleybuses and trams will go to their usual routes. We are talking about night buses, which duplicate metro lines whenever possible. The blessing in winter time bridges on the Neva are not raised due to the termination of navigation. However, Nevsky Prospect will still be closed from nine in the evening. The action in the city center will end only after three o'clock in the morning, when festive fireworks will be launched into the sky. Note that public transport at night Northern capital works only for cash, travel tickets do not work. Travel on land costs 40 rubles in St. Petersburg, and 45 rubles underground.
Ekaterinburg
Front winter holidays an excursion tram decorated with garlands was launched across Yekaterinburg: you can watch the carriage sparkling with lights on the evening streets. And throughout the night, Muscovites and guests of the capital will be transported by trams No. 24, 26 and 50, trolleybuses No. 20, 28, 41, 54 and 56, as well as buses M5, T18 and T71. The operation of the night bus routes N1, H2, N3, N4, N5, N6, N7, B, T15, tram No. 3 is also preserved.
At the same time, some buses in the city center will change routes due to festive events.
North-Eastern Administrative District
Buses M2, M10, T3, T13, T79, No. 124, 185, 238 and 685, as well as tram No. 9 will help the residents of the North-Eastern Administrative District get to the holiday grounds. They will run until 03:30.
Eastern Administrative District
Until 03:30, the following routes will operate in VAO:

Bus number 692: route shortened
From July 1, the route of the bus number 692 "Microdistrict 4" D "Otradniy" - "Metropolitan" Dynamo "" is reduced. Instead of microdistrict 4 "D" Otradny, buses will go to the Verkhniye Likhobory metro station, and instead of the Dynamo metro station - to the Savelovsky railway station.
From the Verkhniye Likhobory metro station to the Pistsovaya Ulitsa stop, the buses will travel on their current route, then along Petrovsko-Razumovskiy proezd, 2nd Kvesisskaya and Butyrskaya streets to the Savelovskiy railway station with a U-turn bypassing Novoslobodskaya street and the Savyolovskiy railway station square. Then the route will pass along Nizhnyaya Maslovka Street, Vyatskaya Street, 2nd Kvesisskaya Streets and Petrovsko-Razumovskiy Proezd to the stop "Pistsovaya Ulitsa". After that the bus will follow the route to the Verkhniye Likhobory metro station.
Opening hours - daily.
The first bus will start from the Verkhniye Likhobory metro station at 05:00, the last one - from the Savelovsky railway station at 19:30. Buses will run with all stops.
Bus number 82: Butyrskaya street is closed
Due to the construction of the lobby of the Nizhnyaya Maslovka metro station, the route of the bus number 82 will change from July 1. When moving to the Belorussky railway station, instead of Butyrskaya street, buses will proceed along Vyatskaya street. The stop "Savelovsky Station" is moved from Butyrskaya Street to house number 9 on Vyatskaya Street. The stop "Butyrskaya Street" located on 2nd Kvesisskaya Street will not be serviced. Changes are introduced before the end of construction.
Bus number 22: check-in at Savelovsky railway station is canceled
From July 1, buses No. 22 running on the route "Street 8 Marta" - "NAMI" will not call along the 2nd Kvesisskaya street and Nizhnyaya Maslovka street to the Savelovsky railway station. When going to NAMI after the stop "Petrovsko-Razumovskaya alleya, 8" they will go along Petrovsko-Razumovskiy proezd, then the current route. In the opposite direction, after the stop "Petrovsko-Razumovskiy proezd", buses will proceed along Petrovsko-Razumovskiy proezd with an exit to Novaya Bashilovka street, then by the usual route.
When traveling in both directions, the stop "Shop" Optics "in Petrovsko-Razumovsky proezd is restored.
Bus number 649 will run daily
From July 1, the route of the bus number 649 "Yasny proezd" - "Ostashkovskaya street" will operate daily. On weekends, buses will run on the same schedule as on weekdays.
Bus no. 818: stops canceled
From July 2, the route of the bus No. 818, running from the Silicate Plant to the Dynamo metro station, will change. Buses will travel between Marshal Shaposhnikov and Grizodubova streets in both directions along Aviakonstruktora Mikoyan Street, Khodynsky Boulevard and 1st Khodynsky Proezd.
When moving from the Dynamo metro station, an additional stop, Metropolitan CSKA, is introduced on Khodynsky Boulevard. The bus stops Megasport Sports Palace (eastern entrance), Megasport Sports Palace and Aviakonstruktora Sukhoi Street, located on Sukhoi Aviakonstruktora Street, will not be serviced.
Shuttles S2 and S8: new timetable
The timetable will change in July free buses S2 and S8, transporting fans to the fan zone on Vorobyovy Gory.
Route S2 "Akademika Zelinsky Street (Metro Leninsky Prospekt)" - "Kosygin Street (FIFA Fan Fest)" will work:
- July 3 - from 13:00 to 03:00;
- July 14 - from 13:00 to 21:00;
