Sunprime Kamala Beach is a great option for a Phuket holiday. Recently we returned from Thailand and decided not to postpone with a review of this wonderful place, because I know that if you do not write right away, you will never write. I hope that the review will help someone in choosing a hotel and a place to have a great rest and get a lot of positive emotions. We started our journey from Yekaterinburg on 09.12.2018. The plane took off without delay, the flight went well, arrived at the appointed time and knew in advance that we would fly to Krabi, but did not yet know what it was like to get from Krabi to Phuket. And the trip turned out to be very unpleasant, it took us almost 5 hours on the road, with a 20 minute stop. We arrived at the hotel at about 3 pm very tired. Registration passed quickly, we were escorted to the room and here we saw what they were very afraid of, because before the trip, they also studied a lot of reviews. We were placed in a room directly above the reception, the room is clean, well-groomed, with good linens, BUT the view there is far from being a resort - the road and the construction site, in addition, there is an air conditioner right above the bed, and this did not bode well. And we, knowing that there is such a shortage of rooms in this hotel, ordered a deluxe room with a terrace. There the air conditioner is built in, and it does not blow strongly, in the right direction. Therefore, we decided to insist on our order and asked to accommodate us in a room with a terrace. The girl reissued and we were taken to our room. It was not close, as the territory of the hotel is very large, there are many buildings, 4 swimming pools, everything is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Our body was next to the sea. The room turned out to smell of moisture, the sun did not get there, it was made in gray tones and it was somehow depressing, but still it was much better than the road and construction site, it was well located and we settled there. The room is clean, has everything you need, shampoo, shower gel, disposable shaving razors, toothbrushes, hats, disposable slippers, light cotton bathrobes. The buildings are located with the letter P and form a closed space inside with a green lawn, a small lake with fish, turtles and even geckos live. Very pleasant, peaceful landscape. A little further, closer to the sea, there is a large swimming pool with sun loungers and a restaurant with a bar. The main contingent of holidaymakers are elderly Germans - calm, balanced, there are very few Russians, they practically did not hear Russian speech. In addition, there are no vacationers with children in this hotel and this is a big plus for other vacationers. A calm atmosphere is everywhere in the restaurant and by the pools, by the sea. And it should be noted that this is a hotel for a quiet measured rest, when everything has already been looked and seen and you just want to enjoy the sea and the sun. But for those who want to go on excursions, there are a lot of local tours. operators with adequate prices. The hotel territory is separated from the sea by a small path leading to various cafes and other hotels. To the right (looking at the sea) are nearby cafes, the assortment of dishes is almost the same everywhere, both Thai and European cuisine. If you go to the left across the bridge, you will come out into a small village with the same cafes and shops. Where there are more visitors, it tastes better. There are 2 Seven Eleven shops, and further away, if you turn into an alley to the left, where massage rooms and go through Italian restaurants, you can walk to a decent Big C. Excellent pastries, grilled chicken, hot fish - everything is much cheaper than on the street. By the way, the very first Italian restaurant on this street, where pizza ovens are visible, the pizza itself is simply disgusting (rubber dough, minimum toppings, expensive), I do not recommend. In general, you will not remain hungry. Regarding the restaurant in the hotel, we can say that the breakfasts are not bad, there is everything, including cold cuts and cheeses, eggs in any form, sliced \u200b\u200bvegetables, salads, delicious yoghurts, the choice of meat dishes is small, porridge only on water, juices, coffee, tea, 4-5 types of fruits, but every day the same thing, by the end I didn't want anything and absolutely tasteless pastries, except for pancakes. We had dinner once at the hotel restaurant, did not like it - it was tasteless. Fruit can be bought in the market at the main entrance of the hotel on Mondays and Fridays. There is also in the village, but it is more expensive and the choice is small. The massage was done in a spa center in Patong, where professionals work, they did not dare to trust the street masseurs, although it costs much more, but in this matter it is important that people with medical education do the massage. If you don't bother with this, then the massage can be done on the beach, in the hotel and on the street. The most positive emotions are the sea. Kamala is a clean beach with yellow sand, a very shallow entrance, waves on which to swing, warm water, what else is needed for happiness. For those who wish there are all water attractions. True, several days were cloudy with little rains, but this did not affect the water temperature. Beach towels can be changed at any time and must be returned before 18:00. On the eve of the New Year holidays, the hotel was all decorated, the staff was constantly doing something, without disturbing the rest. All requests were immediately executed. The staff does not speak Russian. For a quiet, relaxing beach holiday, the hotel is just super!…

For us, Kamala Beach has become a source of harmony, beauty of nature and a relaxing atmosphere.
First of all, it is very beautiful, it immediately catches your eye as soon as you come to the beach. Here, tall palm trees lined up along the perimeter of the beach strip are so harmoniously combined with sea water of a delicate blue-turquoise color and soft white sand, which, in the sun, shimmers and plays in different shades, from snow-white to light beige and even gray -yellow.

Secondly, Kamala beach is not crowded and calm. In addition, there is no carriageway right behind the beach, which gives additional silence. All this contributes to a calm, measured and relaxed rest.
The length of the coastline of Kamala Beach is almost 2 kilometers, which is not small, and the beach is about 20-30 meters wide, not much, but these meters are quite enough for relaxation. In addition, due to the fact that the beach smoothly turns into the embankment, visually, the beach strip seems much wider.
The sea water is clean. The beach is also quite clean and well maintained. There is natural garbage from palm trees and carried by the sea wave, but we did not notice household garbage on the beach, it is clear that the beach is regularly cleaned.
For a quieter relaxation and sunbathing, the north side of the beach is more suitable. It is quieter here than in the central part of the beach. Here, at the farthest, northern point of the beach, is the 4-star Hotel Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach. The hotel is adjacent to the public part of the beach. Casuarin trees give a good coolness, which also act as a source of a pleasant smell.
The central part of the beach has all the necessary beach infrastructure. There is a toilet and shower, as well as some beach and water activities - banana and jet ski riding, parasailing over the sea surface. You can rent a boat or kayak. And for even greater relaxation, order a massage and relax under the gentle and skillful hands of Thai girls.
In search of coolness, you can take advantage of the natural shade emanating from the palm trees that grow along the perimeter of the beach strip, or rent a sun lounger and parasol, there are a great many of them in the central part of the beach. The price is 200 baht per day for two sun loungers and an umbrella.
The southernmost part of the beach is not suitable for a beach holiday, it is a wilder place, the coastal area is dirty and boats are crowded.

Entertainment and attractions of Kamala
One of the main and outstanding entertainments of Kamala is carrying out a colorful and large-scale show "Phuket Fantasy". Phuket FantaSea is a whole theme park, in an entertaining performance of which beautiful scenery, many actors and trained animals are involved.
On Fridays, an evening outbound market is organized in Kamala (in Phuket it is called a night market). At the market, you can buy clothes and souvenirs, as well as enjoy Thai cuisine, the dishes of which will be prepared in front of your eyes.
You can also walk to the Temple of Kamala (Wat Kamala). The territory of the temple is quiet and comfortable. This time, the room we stayed was not very well cleaned at first. To be honest, we were even surprised at once! Earlier return to the room, cleanliness, everything is arranged, etc. After the first day of cleaning, we thought what we imagined. Plus, traditionally cream and coffee have not yet been reported. I asked the staff to fix this situation. It seems to have reported. The next day, it was repeated exactly. Then I was forced to contact the reception desk, after which they organized a meeting with the manager for me. I explained the situation to her, she walked with me to the room, where she saw confirmation of my claims. We must pay tribute, the reaction was timely! Our room probably hasn't been cleaned like that since its first day of use. In the following days of stay, everything was just really licked, arranged, filled and supplemented. Another issue that I immediately discussed with the manager is the issue of replacing three of my breakfasts, with an additional charge - for dinner. Let me explain. I went on a dive, respectively, three included in the price of my breakfasts burned out. I offered to change them with a surcharge for dinners, for my wife - who stayed at the hotel. I was refused. I think that this is not serious and a similar issue, in principle, we solve without difficulties. This is an appeal to the hotel management. I hope that next time, in case of contact, it will be resolved.
For the FOURTH time in a row we have been in this hotel and it speaks for itself! All previous reviews, here, earlier. Everything is good: the territory, five swimming pools, three bars, two restaurants. Cleanliness of the territory. We note positively, but we saw soft, non-wet mattresses on the sun loungers. I already wrote about this and previously told the staff, it was not quite comfortable to lie on the squeezed-out sunbeds. Now it's normal. We made a deposit upon check-in. And after the eviction, the balance of the deposit had to be returned to the card within 14 days. But the money never came to us! Remained on the account of about 2500 baht (5000 rubles!). We have already called the hotel, they say contact your bank, which we naturally did, the hotel simply ignores the mail! Have rested 3 times in this hotel from 2012 to 24 days and every time it gets worse. The rooms should already be reconstructed - (goose bumps and cockroaches are present in every room where we lived). The hotel is doing a full load - there are no sun beds for everyone, cocktails at the bar are diluted (and this was only noticed in 2019). Accommodation prices are increasing every year. People smoke on the next balcony so that you have a full smoke screen in your room. Massage at the hotel - as luck would have it. Sometimes it's lazy and nothing. Housekeeping is ridiculous to even describe. (in 24 days - not one general. Nobody even thinks about the need to wipe the railing on the cormorant from bird droppings. The electrician is organized very strangely. If you turn on the light, the TV goes out. ((Every year there are a lot of people and the fact that we loved this beach and the hotel - it will evaporate. The most interesting thing is that the compliment from the hotel fruit was only once. In previous years, at least 3. And then. Change the shower gel and soap - it smells awful.

Lived with my husband from November 1 to November 14, 2019 in room 6302. Room overlooking the pool and mountains, quiet, secluded. Room cleaning is top notch. Tea and coffee sets were replenished daily, as well as water (used glass bottles are collected by the staff and replaced with new water). In the hotel bottles you will find shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, body lotion, in the boxes you will find toothbrushes, a shaving machine, a comb, shower caps, cotton swabs, and in the closet there are slippers and bathrobes. The hotel has gorgeous breakfasts, including a lot of fruits, pastries, delicious yoghurts. Massage at the hotel cost 300-400 baht (by the time of our departure it was cheaper than on the beach), manicure - 250 baht, pedicure - 300 baht. Taxi to the airport - 700 baht. 3 times a day from the hotel to Patong a shuttle runs, one way 100 baht, round trip - 150 baht. The restaurant by the sea organizes festive evenings with a show program and live music, a table for two about 2500 baht. There is a pedestrian path between the hotel and the sea, on the left - the village and the shop 7/11, on the right there are restaurants and cafes (I highly recommend Lilla Island). On Friday and Monday (approximately from 14:00 to 19:00) there is an exit market not far from the hotel, where you can buy fruits, souvenirs, delicacies, clothes

Excellent hotel on the first line. Good restaurant, many swimming pools, one of which (with a bar) is open until 22-00. We lived in the second building on the third floor with a direct view of the sea (which was almost invisible due to lush vegetation). Natural conditions at Kamala Beach
Sprawling palms and casuarins (horsetail plants) grow along the entire coastline on Kamala Beach. Until noon, they cover the sand with a thick shadow. During high tides, the strip of sand narrows to several meters, so you can literally plunge into the sea from a running start. The sand itself is grayish; as you move south, more and more small stones appear in it.
In the south and north of the beach, the entrance to the sea is very shallow, and the southern part is shallower, which is why it is used for parking boats. If you want to go deeper, then poison yourself in the central part, but at low tide it also becomes shallow. You can safely enter the water: there are no large stones and coral fragments.
The color of the water changes depending on the time of day. In the morning, when the rays glide over the surface of the sea, it is bright turquoise. In the afternoon and evening, it becomes grayish due to the sand at the bottom. What is an optical illusion, the water is as gentle and clean as on the beaches or.
Cleanliness level
Due to the abundance of tourists, Kamala Beach in Phuket does not shine with cleanliness. Most carefully cleaned in the northern edge, where the Novotel is located, and in the center, where the strip of sand is reserved for the Kamala Beach Resort.

In the residential area near the beach, there are restaurants and bars, massage parlors, tour desks. There are no large shopping centers, but buying everything you need - beach accessories, daily clothes and shoes - is not difficult. In general, Kamala has everything to rest comfortably and tastefully.
