Russians very often choose sunny Bulgaria as a country where they can have a great time. Mountain landscapes, sandy beaches, many health centers and attractions - all this attracts tourists. In addition, quite reasonable prices attract an increasing number of travelers. But not everyone knows whether a passport to Bulgaria is needed in 2019 or is it permissible to do without this document.

What you need to visit Bulgaria

Citizens of the Russian Federation consider this state their "brother". In 2007, an important event happened - the country became a member of the European Union, as a result, a passport for a holiday in Bulgaria is a mandatory requirement.

This requirement applies not only to those who travel to Sunny Beach as a tourist. The document must be drawn up by persons who plan to study in the country, work, go to visit friends and relatives.

Please note that the validity of the passport in Bulgaria must be at least 3 months from the end of the trip. This is an important rule to keep in mind. Migration card

Many countries, including Russia, provide that when entering a country, a foreigner must fill out a migration card. This form contains information about the arrival, the timing of the visit and the purpose. Bulgaria also requires filling out this document, here it is called "Address card for a stranger."

Data is entered into the migration card upon arrival in the state. It is recommended to fill out the card while still on board the airliner or in the vehicle on which you are traveling, because it will not be very convenient for you to do this at customs.
