Auto reports on travels at sea. Is he from the Urals? Tips for planning a route and possible overnight stays on the way

If you get to the Black Sea coast by plane, then 15,000 rubles will be spent on air tickets. during the peak tourist season. The cheapest option is going to the sea by car in 2019. Gasoline will take about 10,000 rubles, and this amount can be divided among several people. Add to this the freedom of movement, the ability to go wherever you want at any time, and the benefits of traveling by car by car in 2019 are clear. Let's consider how to get to the Black Sea by car.

We go to the sea by car: documents

Mandatory documents for a trip to the sea by car in 2019.

  • Driver's license
  • Vehicle registration certificate
  • OSAGO (if the policy ends soon, you can renew online and compare prices and )

Before the trip to the Black Sea by car you need to find out information about the route to follow, find out through which cities you need to drive, and how much time and money will be spent on the road.

The first part of the journey at sea by car in 2019, everyone has the same - starts in Moscow and ends with arrival in Krasnodar. The second route runs through Krasnodar, the final destination will be the Black Sea. Travelers from St. Petersburg first need to get to Moscow, and then follow the planned route.

Route M-4 "Don" is very good, it is not difficult to travel along it to the sea by car. But the road still has a long way to go. The track is divided into many sections, some of which are paid. Section M-4 "Don" Moscow - Voronezh - 531 km. Here you will find a 4-lane motorway, many settlements along the way, possibly increased traffic. Track section to the Black Sea by car from 48 to 71 km is paid.

After that we pass Voronezh - Rostov-on-Don. Distance - 560 km, traffic in 4 lanes. In the area of Pavlovsk and the Tarasovsky point, traffic is reduced by two lanes.

Then travel through Rostov-on-Don - Krasnodar, distance - 240 km, driving time 4 hours. It should be borne in mind that repair work can be carried out on sections of the road. The number of bands is four. The first part of the journey is over.

After Timashevsk, a large stream of cars turns towards the Crimea. You can go there too, since by opening the Crimean bridge you can get from Timashevsk to Kerch in 4 hours.

It takes about the same amount of time to get to Gelendzhik. The closest way is to go to Anapa and Novorossiysk.

The distance from Krasnodar to Novorossiysk is 228 km. The route runs along the sea coast. Despite the bad and bumpy road, you can enjoy the picturesque nature here.

The longest route at sea by car Krasnodar - Sochi. This is also the most difficult part of the road. There are many steep passes, a lot of cars. It will be necessary to cover a distance of 290 km, travel time from 5 to 12 hours.

Advice: in order not to get stuck in traffic before arriving in Krasnodar, we recommend setting the next destination on the GPS navigator - Goryachiy Klyuch.

Rest on the Black Sea by car: route and overnight stay

The Don track has a well-developed infrastructure. On the way to the sea by car, you can make stops, go to the toilet, take a shower, and, if necessary, use the services of a car service or refuel and wash the car. In order not to get stuck in a traffic jam in front of payment points on the Don highway, do not leave to the Black Sea by car from Moscow early Saturday morning. Otherwise, you risk getting stuck there for 4 hours, waiting for your turn. The check issued to you displays information for the kilometers paid. Therefore, upon arrival at the next checkpoint, just show it so that you do not have to pay twice. Such traffic jams are common, even if you leave Moscow at 3-4 in the morning, it is likely that you will reach the suburb of Rostov-on-Don - the city of Aksai by 2 a.m. Moreover, the further journey from Aksai to Krasnodar may take 10 hours instead of 4 hours.

The most optimal travel option is as follows. Departure to the Black Sea by car from Moscow early in the morning at 5-6 in the morning. At about 18.00 we reach Millerovo and make a final stop there. Here you can spend the night and move on with renewed vigor. At 5-6 in the morning we leave and continue on to Krasnodar. We arrive there at about 14.00. Depending on the direction, in Crimea you will be at 18.00, in Anapa and Novorossiysk at 17.00, Gelendzhik at 18.00, in Sochi the latest (depending on the time of overcoming the serpentine).

Be careful: video cameras are installed on the highway to Voronezh, so drive at a speed of about 80 km / h. In the Rostov region, there are many routes with sections of roads being repaired, as well as many kilometers of traffic jams in which you can get stuck.

Do not try to overtake passing trucks in oncoming two-lane traffic. Buy fuel only from manufacturers you know. For example, in Adygea we came across a very low-quality fuel. Do not forget that almost all parking lots in Sochi are paid, so try to stick to the rules.

You can make a march without stopping at all and get to the Black Sea by car in 1 day. This option is suitable for those traveling to Anapa, Novorossiysk or Kerch. In Sochi, this is not the best option, because you will come to the serpentines tired and exhausted.

How much is a trip to the Black Sea by car

Calculate in advance all the necessary expenses for a trip to the Black Sea by car for gasoline and food, and also take into account the cost of overnight stays. Gasoline consumption can be calculated using the Internet. It will cost about 5,000 rubles. one way from Moscow. From St. Petersburg - 7000 rubles. one way. For an overnight stay, choose economy class rooms, with an extra bed for a third person or for a child. The cost of living in rooms from 2000 rubles. You will spend an average of two days on the trip with overnight stays. Meals for one person will cost from 800 to 1000 rubles if there is a cafe. And 400-500 rubles if you take food with you (you can save a little on this).

For comparison, you can buy for the same 5000-7500 rubles. one way (if tracked in advance). But by car there will be more opportunities and freedom of choice in terms of spending time on the Black Sea.

You can take from 3500 rubles, but the trip is long and tiring.

To the Black Sea by car: what you need to travel to the Black Sea

1. Medical kit. Bring as many essential medicines as you can, in addition to your car kit. Travelers with weak vestibular apparatus should take medication in advance and take the necessary medication with them to avoid motion sickness. While driving on mountain serpentines, there are practically no shoulders, so if someone feels unwell, you will have to wait until the next stop.

2. Spray, cream or ointment for mowing insects. This is especially important on the road and on vacation.

3. Remember to take enough drinking water ... Better to take bottled water rather than cans.

4. Video recorder, navigator and radar detector to record everything that happens on the roads - important components of the trip, which will definitely be needed on the way.

5. In order not to get bored on the road, take with you audiobooks, music recordings or concerts of comedians .

6. Pick up suitable footwear ... Keep in mind that the beaches on the Black Sea are both rocky and sandy. On vacation, sun loungers and umbrellas are paid, so you can bring these things with you.

A Few Tips for Traveling at Sea by Car in 2019

1. On an unfamiliar road in a mountainous area, behave carefully, do not exceed the speed, otherwise you risk falling off a cliff. It is also not worth driving too slowly, as you will annoy the road users behind you.

2. If you want to see the real blue sea, then you will have to overcome dozens of traffic jams on the federal highway M-27 Dzhubga - Sochi, which is the main road leading to all coastal cities.

3. Do not forget that the biggest and longest traffic jams are formed on Friday after 12 noon, when the inhabitants of the Kuban, Rostov region and Adygea are in a hurry to go to the sea for the weekend. The same thing happens on Sunday evenings when vacationers go home.

4. If your path lies through the city of Tuapse, then there is a possibility that you can get stuck in a traffic jam for three hours. This is because the federal highway passes through the only road along which locals travel from one part of the city to another.

5. It is best to travel at night. However, you need to be an experienced driver, because at night on the highway you can find heavy vehicles and long vehicles.

6. If on the way you are caught by a subtropical rainstorm, it is better to stop and wait a while. Make a stop in an open area, away from mountain slopes and rivers. If there is no way to stop yet, it is necessary to slow down to reasonable limits, and try not to make sharp maneuvers. Do not under any circumstances set up camp, do not stop near the banks of mountain rivers. You can be carried out to sea by a strong current. Therefore, wait out the rain in an open area, away from rivers.

7. Food and water are best purchased in large chain stores. At roadside kiosks, food is not always fresh, but rather expensive. Ask the locals where they buy quality and delicious food.

8. Do you want fresh fruits and vegetables? Do not take them from the traders along the highway. They often deceive customers by presenting goods from Turkey as products of local origin. It is not uncommon for merchants to weigh on travelers in the hope that they will never return here.

As you can see, getting to the Black Sea is not at all difficult. With the opening of the Crimean bridge, it has become easier to travel to Crimea on vacation. And if you don't want to dodge along the mountain serpentines in front of Sochi, then you can go to Anapa, Novorossiysk or Gelendzhik. Have a nice trip to the Black Sea by car in 2019!

Our road trip to the Black Sea began with route planning.

We chose the following route:

Moscow - Voronezh - Rostov on Don - Krasnodar - | Port Kavkaz - Taman - Anapa - Novorossiysk - Gelendzhik - Tuapse - Sochi - Adler - Krasnaya Polyana |

Traveled by four in a Volkswagen Golf 4

The drivers stocked up on energy drinks and set off. The path, I must say, is not close. 2 people were driving, who changed every 5-6 hours.

In general, it must be said that the way there is always much easier to transfer than from there. We arrived in less than a day. The road is not bad. Somewhere worse, somewhere better. I have already twice traveled by bus to the sea and I remember that on the way I will meet such a city of Yelets, where you will definitely stand for 3-4 hours. This is due to the fact that in Yelets at the exit (or at the entrance) there is a very narrow road and a low capacity of the bridge. Nobody is going to solve this problem, so every year there are huge traffic jams.

Everything else is good.

It so happened that our journey along the coast began not from its extreme western point, not from Port Kavkaz, but from Abrau-Dyurso. The GPS took us there. Since this contradicted the plan, we had to turn west and drive towards Taman towards Porto.

But since we arrived in Abrau Durso late in the evening and were tired, we had to look for a place to sleep. It was not easy to do it in the dark, but we coped with this task. It was previously agreed that we will spend the night in campsites. The only problem is that campsites are not located at every turn and GPS does not always find them.

But fortunately that night we were lucky and managed to find something like a camping. True, the tent had to be set up not only in complete darkness, but also on a steep slope. It was pretty funny.

After an unforgettable night, where we constantly had to be on the alert so as not to move down, we immediately drove west to Port Kavkaz.

Probably in this kind of stories it is impossible not to mention the traffic police officers. Anyone who has been to the Krasnodar Territory knows that there is a significant difference between the Moscow traffic police and the Krasnodar ones. The latter approach their business so responsibly that when they stop for a "document check", the matter does not end with a check. A couple of times they stopped us for 20 minutes. They checked the numbers, punched through the bases, took away the passports of everyone sitting in the car, interrogated us, etc.

Without violations, of course, nowhere. A couple of times they ran out from where they were and were fined either for going to the oncoming lane, or for exceeding them.

So, we have reached the starting point of our journey, Port Kavkaz. Sometimes we drove along the road, on the right side of which was the Black Sea, and on the left - the Azov.

Crimea view

In Taman we stopped to visit Lermontov's house. This house (in the background)

The place is quite picturesque

Without a museum, of course, nowhere

Our time was limited. Until the evening we had to find a campsite and settle in for the night.

When we find a campsite it is good, but if we manage to find a "wild" place where you can put up a tent and not pay anything to anyone, it is even better. Fortunately, there are many such places in the Taman region.

Let me emphasize right away that with each kilometer to the east it will become more and more difficult for you to find such a place. After Anapa, there are mainly paid campsites. After Tuapse, even in expensive campsites, people sleep on top of each other. There are simply no campsites after Sochi.

So, we successfully settled for the night. It was the first "normal" night in tents on the Black Sea coast. The location was excellent, but quite open.

By the way, we slept in tents on inflatable mattresses - this is a bit unusual, but comfortable.

Morning work-out

The weather did not work out in the morning

On the road again!

Anapa was next in line.

In Anapa, we decided to go to the movies for Harry Potter 6 :-) After watching the movie, the weather improved and we moved on.

Anapa from the observation deck

It so happened that we swam very little. In fact, we swam only a couple of times near Gelendzhik. This was due to a busy schedule.

On the way from Anapa to Novorossiysk, we stopped at one wonderful place, the name of which I, unfortunately, forgot. We spent the night this time at the campsite.

At first, we could not find normal firewood to make a fire

But here, too, a solution was found. A terrible crack of a breaking fence and, behold, Vasily is already walking with an armful of firewood :-)

After lunch, you can relax.

But even in such a wonderful place, we could not stay for a long time. The next point on the map was the city of Novorossiysk.

A fairly large and beautiful city. There is something to see in Novorossiysk.

After walking and eating ice cream, we drove on to Gelendzhik.

The first thing that catches your eye in Gelendzhik is the drivers who are ready to tear each other apart for the client to rent their apartment / house. They offer almost for free.

In Gelendzhik, we wanted to visit the Zolotaya Bukhta water park and dolmens. Let's start with the second one.

If you drive past dolmens, don't miss it. You have to walk a lot, but it's worth it!

The first dolmen is located near the city and is located almost next to the road. There are usually a lot of tourists around it.

Do not miss the chance to stand under a real waterfall

And now, after an hour of walking, we reached the dolmens

After the dolmens, we returned to our camping in Kabardinka. By the way, Kabardinka is a wonderful place located near Gelendzhik. If I was asked what place I would choose for a vacation on the Black Sea, then this is it.

The next day we visited Skala-Parus

Aquapark Zolotaya Bukhta ranks first in Russia not only in size, but also in queues. And yet we had a great time

We knew that after Gelendzhik problems with accommodation would begin, so we left in the direction of Tuapse in advance.

I was in Tuapse 10 years ago and then it seemed to me that this is the best city in the world, but now I am not sure about it. Besides the fact that there are the most beautiful girls in Tuapse, I can’t say anything about him. But isn't that enough reason to return? Isn't it true? :-)

Unfortunately, I did not photograph the girls, because in Tuapse we stayed literally for an hour to have a snack. Let's go further.

What's next? Further Sochi. The distance of 120 kilometers between Tuapse and Sochi is covered in a record 7 hours of driving a truck along a serpentine road. The road exhausted us so much that upon arrival in Sochi we just wanted to find a place to spend the night as soon as possible.

But we did not find such a place. I had to go further to Adler. There's nothing there either.

Nothing to do, we moved towards Krasnaya Polyana, to the north. It was already late, but fortunately there were kind people who agreed to let us into their private territory, where we settled down. In truth, that night was one of the worst.

Firstly, severe fatigue from the road affected, secondly, there was tension and some kind of dampness. That place, I must say, was, to put it mildly, poorly adapted for spending the night. I am reminded of Bear Grylls's show "Survive at Any Cost".

This is the place

And here is Krasnaya Polyana, where we headed the next morning. Yes, this is where the 2014 Olympic Games will take place.

So that is all. Our journey has come to an end. And now on the way back.

This very return journey lay through Kabardinka, where we happily settled in our tents and rested before going home.

Several key aspects can be highlighted.

First, it's hard. If you do not have a good car with a high suspension (!), Then it is twice as heavy. You need to be mentally prepared for any difficulties, but there will be difficulties.

As a minus, I will note the problems with finding a place to sleep after Tuapse.

There are also insignificant little things that I don’t want to dwell on.

Of the advantages, I will single out a large number of interesting places, like the same dolmens or Skala-Parus. You will not be bored. Also, this road trip is relatively inexpensive. If you are four of us, then 10 thousand from each and you will surely cover all your expenses. Of course, the approach to price is purely individual.

On the other hand, you can look at such a trip in different ways. I believe that at least one trip is worth a try, BUT in my opinion, you need to clearly understand what you want to get. If you want the sea, sun and relaxation, this is not for you.

So, in my opinion, the best place to relax on the Black Sea is Kabardinka (not far from Gelendzhik). If you are going to but do not know where to go - take a closer look.

I can call this place the most picturesque.

So that is all:-)

See you soon!

Vacation coming up? Serpentines, mountains, sea and descriptions of sights - just for this it is worth going south by car or on a trip to Russia or Europe!

This site contains the best photo reports of autotravels and adventures, interesting stories, reports of hauls, information about cities, information about tracks and trip reports.

  • Additionally: stories of car owners.

Having decided one day to travel by car with his parents, it was decided to visit the European capital of beauty and fashion, love and romance - the legendary Paris. The path was not easy - 3000 km: Donetsk - Paris.

Transhipment points were planned in Poland, Hungary and Germany. Despite the fact that there were two drivers among us, I really wanted to relax and admire the sights of the countries passing by us.

We flew to Stockholm in a large company. An ordinary passenger car would not fit, therefore, in order to get to the final destination, the polar towns of Piteå and Luleå, it was necessary to rent a minibus. There are several car rental offices at Arlando Airport, but the car with the required passenger capacity was not available.

I had to turn to my Swedish comrades. They helped and ordered a Renault rental for us for 270 euros per day. Compared to the price lists of other companies, it is relatively inexpensive, especially since we have paid in a club. Each of the 9 people in our company had to pay 1200 Swedish kronor for four days of rent, which is equal to 120 euros.

Every year, at the end of summer, our whole family rushes to the shrines of the Kaluga land. But now the children have grown up, the youngest is studying at the medical university, so the crew of our car has decreased. But the day of the start came.

Photo # 1. We finished in the evening, decided not to leave early. We are driving our route for 2 days. We always visit the city of Zadonsk. Here is one of the most sacred places in the Lipetsk region. The monastery of Tikhon Zadonsky is probably known to every believer. Therefore, we leave at 8 am.

So it's time for the chicks to fly out of the nest. This year, my daughter graduated from school and successfully entered the Volgograd Medical University. It was necessary to urgently take the documents to the admissions office, and we set off on our first trip to the city - the hero of Volgograd.

The distance according to the navigator is 547 km. After looking at information about the quality of roads and traffic jams, we decide to leave early in the morning. Our task is to be in time before 15-00. At our beloved Gazprom, we fill in 95th gasoline, under the traffic jam and at 8 am we hit the road. The road to the village of Chaltyr is easy. Although the track is one-row, it is wide. We are moving with the maximum permissible speed of 109 km / h.

I rediscovered autotravel for myself, I really want to stir up a long trip around Europe, a big circle for a month. But this is somehow later, but for now I will get out into short trips, even if I would like to stay in one place for a longer time, to live in a new city / country, but better than not at all, the more and in a short time you can collect material.

In general, it is very easy to travel alone, no worries, left to himself, only the road and work. I returned and my head was immediately spinning. We need to edit the video and continue looking for a trick, but I decided to shoot for a month, even if I don’t post anything, I need to write a guidebook about Krasnaya Polyana and posts about the sights where I was, pull up my tails (posts that I just don’t get to write). And at the same time, we will now go to Sochi, then to Moscow, from where I will take Yegor to rehabilitation and upon returning from it I would like to drive off to Serbia, for which we need to prepare. Plus, you need to solve a bunch of related issues. How to combine all this and manage to do it, I can’t imagine, you don’t know what to grab onto. I was always amazed at those people who simultaneously lead several completely different directions.

My breakfast in Krinitsa - no worries

While I was alone and rode in a car, my productivity was quite high, as much as I could, my wings grew straight from my progress. And I came to my family and everything, as if I got into a non-working swamp, it is morally hard to work, either I am with Egor and in the subject of special children, or I am a traveler-blogger. Once again I realized that I need my own room or an office in general, so as not to get involved in the process. Otherwise, it turns out stupid, I am sitting in an apartment and it seems as if not with Yegor (he is just nearby), but the feeling that I am fully involved in the process. Not surprisingly, then I cannot often replace Daria, because I am already "tired" of Yegor. We urgently need to separate the workplace from the place of residence (yes, we have been talking about this for a long time, now we’ll just decide where we will live), and then it will turn out to change roles, like I work for 3 days, then 3 days with Yegor, and in this time Daria does her business fully and just as well not at home.

Conclusions about Sochi

While I was in the Sochi area, it was time to fall in love with him. Along the way, this is the best place in our country. Yes, I have not been here in the middle of winter, but according to the stories of different people, I would like it here in general in terms of the climate, there is simply nowhere better. Well, if you limit yourself to Russia. And what is the number of activities, eh? If you want to ski to Krasnaya Polyana in winter, if you want trekking in the mountains all year round, and the sea is nearby, you can surf or just swim. Most of all, of course, I liked the opportunity to walk through the forest and mountains, or bike rides, it's not for you to walk in Butovo Park or just in a sleeping area among high-rise buildings. Moreover, this entire region is quite attractive visually, Krasnaya Polyana (or rather Estosadok and Rosa Khutor) in general, as Europe looks, is pleasing to the eye. And Adler changed greatly, also "European". There is devastation, where is it without it, but if you compare with some Saratov, then the earth and the sky are simple.

Yes, and the fruit is easier to find here normal. Figs from the tree, persimmons, nuts, local grapes, no problem. The range in Magnets is not very good, but there are markets.

Photos from the trip

Let me remind you that the main place where I now post photos during my travel and life is, it is convenient to look at it on my smartphone, if I subscribe. And here is mine Youtube channel.

Since not everyone is following me on social networks, here are a dozen photos from the trip, but not those that I have already posted, but taken with a normal camera. I visited Krasnaya Polyana, Estosadka and Rosa Khutor, climbed Rosa Peak and climbed in the rope park, visited the park in Adler, Mount Akhun and the statue of Prometheus near Sochi, walked around, looked around Lazarevskoye, near Gelendzhik, and in Kabardinka , in Novorossiysk. I spent 4 nights in an apartment on Krasnaya Polyana, a night with friends near Kudepsta, 2 nights with friends in Sochi and 4 nights in a car wherever I have to. I ate food mostly just from the store and cooked a little on the burner. That's the whole trip :) How did I get there already and separately I still have a post about with all the nuances.

Rosa Khutor from above - looks like Europe

Traveling to the sea by car: how to prepare and what to consider?

Hello, friends! A trip to the sea by car is a great adventure, an opportunity to see new places and visit interesting sights along the way, as well as plan your route and time of arrival to your destination on your own.

However, not all so simple. Traveling by car needs to be thought out in advance in order to easily bypass all the pitfalls. This is where this article will help you!

Here you can find all the information you need to travel with your own car. The advantages and disadvantages of such a trip are listed, there are recommendations for preparation, route planning and things that you need to take with you. It also provides useful tips and safety rules on the way.

Of course, there are many advantages to going south by car, and it is better to start with them:

  1. Budgetary. Traveling by car will cost you significantly less than bus, train or plane tickets. Especially if there are not two people in the car, but at least four.
  2. Comfortable. You can make stops at will, see the sights along the way, create an interesting and unusual route, etc.
  3. Roomy. You don't have to carry luggage from the train to the taxi and back, so you can take whatever you want. And on the way back, you can easily buy a bunch of all sorts of goodies and souvenirs for yourself and your relatives.
  4. Easy to climb. Didn't like your current vacation spot? Not a problem! It will not be difficult to get to the other one. In addition, you can independently go on all the excursions without buying expensive tours from intermediaries!
  5. Freedom in time. You don't need to be guided by the time on the tickets. You can check out and back when it is convenient. Or stay on the road or on vacation for another couple of days.
  6. Freedom from unnecessary travel companions. You yourself choose with whom to travel by car, which means that you do not have to listen to the life stories of strangers and polyphonic snoring.

disadvantages

However, this method of travel has many disadvantages. You need to know them in advance in order to decide whether to travel by car or not:

  1. Additional expenses. Anything can happen on the road: from a toll road or a traffic police fine to a serious breakdown. Therefore, such a trip can easily go beyond the planned budget.
  2. For a long time. Even if you are traveling with several drivers, you still need to observe the daily routine and have a good rest. This means stopping for an overnight stay and a short rest during the day. That is, it is worth expecting that the duration of the trip will be comparable to traveling on a not the fastest train.
  3. Difficult for the driver. Rest is relaxation. I got on the train / plane / bus and that's it, you can already start resting on your legal vacation. But with the car you will have to work a little more to get where you need to.
  4. Hard for passengers. In an ordinary car, while driving, you will not be able to get up and stretch the numb body parts. Sitting in one position for a long time is uncomfortable.
  5. A lot of preparation time. To go somewhere far away by car, the entire route needs to be carefully planned, take into account all the subtleties, make lists, and prepare the car. And this is a big expense of your personal time.
  6. Traffic jams. In summer, road repairs can often be found on the highways, and the congestion of cars this season is great, so it should be borne in mind that you can get bored in traffic jams for a while.

Preparation

  • Since the car will play the main role in your trip, carefully prepare it for a long journey. Go through MOT, add oil, inflate tires, etc.
  • Think about where you will sleep and eat. If you plan to spend the night in tents and eat on your own, be sure to make a list of the necessary equipment.
  • Think over the route well, study the reviews on the Internet about certain sections of the road.
  • Make a list of everything you bring with you. Do not get ready at the last moment in a hurry, otherwise there is a high probability of forgetting something, not buying in addition, etc.
  • If you are traveling in a large company, discuss all issues several times before traveling: food, stops, overnight stays, etc. Make sure there are no disagreements, otherwise you risk wasting a lot of time arguing.

How to prepare the vehicle technically? Watch the video with professional recommendations.

What to take with you?

Necessarily:

  1. Tent and sleeping bags. Even if you're going to be staying overnight in motels on the road or with relatives, it doesn't hurt to take care of an alternative. You never know, all the motels on the way will be packed, and for some reason you will not have time to reach your relatives.
  2. Video recorder. In any controversial situation, he will help you figure out who is right and who is wrong. In addition, the DVR will be an excellent deterrent from dishonest traffic police officers.
  3. First aid kit. The more drugs it contains, the better. You probably won't need them. However, it is better that they exist than if they did not exist at all.
  4. Spare wheel and tools. Don't take too many instruments. Take only what you know how to use and what will definitely come in handy on the track in case of a particular breakdown. With other problems, it is better to contact a repair shop to qualified specialists.
  5. Cash. They will be needed anytime, anywhere. So it is better to have some kind of cash supply, so as not to run around looking for an ATM in an unfamiliar place.
  6. Road map and / or navigator. Of course, the language will bring you to Rome, but it is better to have all the navigation assistants at your fingertips. You can choose a simple road atlas, but then you just need a navigator. Or you can choose a navigator and rely on it completely. The choice is yours.
  7. The documents. Own (rights, passports, medical policies, insurance, birth certificates of children) and a car.

Desirable:

  1. Repair kit for repairing tires. It is not very expensive, but it takes a little practice to use it.
  2. Thermos for boiling water. In any roadside cafe, for a fee or just like that, they can pour boiling water. And then brew tea, coffee or instant noodles.
  3. Canister for gasoline, 5-10 liters. On the road, many emergencies can arise, you need to be prepared for everything. Including the fact that the gas tank can be empty a little earlier than you get to the gas station.
  4. Travel mini fridge. Useful for various food supplies. With such storage, they will not deteriorate much longer.

Not necessary:

  1. Walkie-talkie. Many people think that the walkie-talkie is very useful on long trips. Truckers politely warn of traffic police ambushes, traffic jams and bad roads. But in fact, you can hear only silence all the way, or conversations about nothing mixed with a three-story mat. And if you have children in your car, this is not the best soundtrack.
  2. Antiradar. The device is not essential, although it can help out a lot. But if you fully follow the rules of the road and pay attention to the speed limit, you will not need a radar detector.

How to make a route?

Not all are hereditary truckers and not all cover thousands of kilometers by car every month. Therefore, the issue of making a route is often very relevant.

  • The easiest way to plan a route is to find a good website or forum for auto travelers or truckers and find suitable ready-made routes there. There you can also find information about traffic police posts, repair work, the best gas stations, etc.
  • As a last resort, you can rely on the Navigator. Just determine the main points of the route and drive it all into the device, it will pave the optimal path itself.
  • Well, or do it the old fashioned way, that is, buy a road atlas and plot the route yourself.

What is the best way to navigate?

In matters of navigation, many people prefer to turn to the good old road atlas and find a route along it. However, the best solution for a trip is still a navigator. You can load the original route into it, and then modify it as needed. It is also recommended to put an additional route in the navigator, a kind of "Plan B". If travel on the first route is difficult, you can easily switch to an additional route and not waste precious time on drawing it up on the spot.

  • Surely you know where there is good and inexpensive gasoline in your area, so fill up a full tank of proven fuel at your place. After all, then you may not find good gas stations for a long time.
  • Stock up on plenty of water (5-10 liters, drink and douse in the heat) and food, at least some snacks. Even if you are going to eat in a cafe, you may not come across anything worthwhile along the way.
  • The more drivers with good experience in the car, the better. For a comfortable trip, you need at least two people with a license and extensive driving experience.
  • Write down the numbers of tow trucks and repair shops along the way. It is better that you have them, but are not useful, than vice versa.
  • The same applies to the traffic police helpline. Write it down, or better yet, memorize it.
  • Do not forget to turn on the DVR as soon as you start off.
  • Choose a route so as to bypass the cities you don't need, and not drive through them, otherwise you will waste a lot of time and nerves.
  • Hotels and hotels located in cities are more comfortable and cleaner than their roadside counterparts. And sometimes cheaper.
  • Many roadside complexes along the track have showers, where you can freshen up and put yourself in order for a fee. Prices for this service are usually low.
  • Some gas stations have maps of the area that you can explore for free. This will help you if you suddenly get lost.

Safety engineering

  • Do not under any circumstances drive on an unfamiliar road at night. Better rest and sleep, and leave in the morning.
  • Do not drive or violate any traffic rules. This is fraught with not only high fines, but also creates an emergency situation on the road.
  • If you are camping in a tent, make sure that your car, tent and fire are not visible from the side of the track. Better yet, find a guarded campsite.
  • If on the road you are tired and want to sleep, stop and sleep urgently. It is better to arrive later than not to come at all.
  • Keep cards and cash in more than one place. Divide everything into several parts and hide it with passengers and in the car.
  • Don't eat in suspicious cafeterias or cafes. If you have the slightest suspicion that the food is not very fresh and of high quality, it is better not to eat it. Poisoning on the road is not pleasant.
  • Avoid overheating people and cars when driving in hot weather. Make frequent stops, douche yourself with water.
  • And most importantly, do not forget to buckle up, always! And buckle up the kids. And for the little ones, be sure to provide car child seats, comfortable and comfortable for long trips by car.
