The visa calculator according to the new Schengen rules in 2019 will allow a large number of tourists to independently determine how much time they can spend in foreign countries with a multiple visa. The main advantage of the method is that the calculator takes into account all the new rules, which means that travelers do not have to constantly monitor the websites of states and look for pitfalls.

The problem with the calculation of the time that is allowed to be in the Schengen zone arises for every tourist. People who have a multivisa can repeatedly visit all countries participating in the agreement. The issued document indicates the period during which it is allowed to travel. The maximum duration of a Schengen visa allows citizens to stay in the countries for 90 days within 6 months, however, the stay largely depends on the purpose of the visit and the type of document.

How to count the days

It is dangerous to violate the rules of staying in Schengen, because next time you may simply not get permission. The easiest way to make calculations is to use a visa calculator. It can be used by people who have a category C document. The permit allows you to stay in foreign countries for 3 months within six months. Difficulties arise in cases where there is the possibility of multiple visits. Online calculation is becoming the best way to solve the problem.

The visa calculator according to the new Schengen rules of 2019 will allow you to control the length of stay in foreign countries. It is up to the holder of the permit to monitor the validity of the visa, since even travel agencies do not deal with this issue. Otherwise, a person runs the risk of staying in their country if they have paid tickets and a hotel.

Using the calculator

The visa calculator will show how much time you spent in foreign countries and how long you can travel. Calculating the remaining time is very simple, for this you just need to enter all the information correctly.

Data entry should be treated very carefully, because the result depends on it. To calculate the length of stay in the Schengen area on any particular day, the period of 180 days preceding the current day must be taken into account.

First, the date of departure is determined, which is checked for compliance with the regime. In the calendar, a person will have to indicate the day, month and year.

So you can find out if the multivisa regime is violated and how many days are allowed for a trip. Be sure to indicate the dates of visits that have already been made.

If there are not enough existing fields, then they can be added, after which you will need to click the "Calculate" button.

The option “Input method: by trips” is intended to control compliance with the 90/180 rule during a previous stay in the Schengen or stay at the moment with the entry of the date of entry and exit, and “Arbitrary” is intended to calculate the number of days of travel, indicating which date is entry and which exit.

If the information is entered incorrectly, you must click the "Reset" button. So you can instantly find out the result and plan your future visits accordingly.

For example, consider both options.

Travel

For example, you have an annual multi-visa with a validity period of 09/05/2016-09/04/2017 and you want to check for violations on the date 06/28/17.

On it you made the following trips:

05/09/16 — 05/10/16

10/11/16-25/11/16

05/14/17 - and on 06/28/17 you are still in Schengen.

All this data is entered into a calculator that counts the number of days in each stay and shows that the first trip on this visa was earlier than 180 days ago, so it is not taken into account. And in terms of the number of days of other trips, everything is in order, the rule has not been violated and you can stay in Schengen for up to 44 days.

Arbitrarily

With the same initial data, select the Planning option, you will see in the end the number of days (in this example, there are still 44 days left) that you can spend in Schengen. Thus, you can plan how many more trips and for how long you can make in the next six months, while the visa is still valid.
