The best beach in Phu Quoc vietnam. The best beaches in Fukuoka (Vietnam): map, reviews, photos. Hotels along Long Beach

In Vietnam, not everything can be called swimable. Therefore, there seem to be beaches, but in fact there are no beaches. Having traveled all over Fukuoka up and down, I can say that there is no need to invent anything new. There are well-known Ong Lang, Bai Dai and Bai Sao, and there is no point in looking for something better. Wherever we went to find a secret beach, paradise, etc., we came across either a dump and garbage dump, or a construction site. Nothing else was found worthwhile. Maybe when all the construction projects are over and there is free passage in all parts of the beaches, more good places will become available.

The branded map of Travelinka works without the Internet, creates a route, shows interesting places.

Fukuoka beaches on the map

The best beaches in Fukuoka:

  • Ong Lang
  • Kua kan
  • Wung Bau
  • Bai Sao

Fukuoka beaches are not suitable for swimming:

  • All beaches in the north and northeast

Terrible beaches of Fukuoka:

  • Anthoy
  • Gan Dau

- the longest and best beach in Fukuoka, which starts from Duong Dong and goes south. It is the closest beach from. Since this is the west coast of Fukuoka, there are always waves in the low season. The high sea is more or less calm.

But the west coast has its big plus - it is here that you can watch the most beautiful sunsets. When the sun sets in the sea This is a kind of "trick" of Fukuoka. A crowd of spectators gathers to watch it. Someone settles down on a pebble on the shore, someone in a cafe or an observation deck. And everyone is seeing off this day, and waiting for the next. The atmosphere of Goa and Kazantip. Maybe that's why Long Beach was chosen to continue the festival, now it's Epizode.

The sand on Long Beach is large yellow, similar to cane sugar. For recreation, this is the best place in terms of infrastructure, choice of hotels, exchange offices, travel agencies.

Beaches Episode and Sonata

I would also like to highlight kazantip beach, aka Episode, and next to Sonata beach... This is in theory also Long Beach, but the beach is separate. It was here that the sensational Kazantip festival () moved, which is now called Epizode.

Kazantip is fenced off, entrance is paid. But from the water you can walk unnoticed from Sonata Beach, at least in low season.

An interesting relaxed atmosphere on the Sonata beach, a bar, installations, even a yellow Zhiguli was pinned from somewhere and a car with hemp. Everything is beautifully decorated and painted in bright colors - green, yellow, blue, red. The peculiarity of the beach is fine sand.

Bai Sao

If Fukuoka Long Beach is the longest, then. There is fine white sand, like a powder. This is the most beautiful sand on the whole island, the best place for photo shoots. An idyllic swing was set up in the water, on which everyone is photographed. The entrance to the sea is shallow, and free life jackets are issued for the Chinese.

There is infrastructure on the beach, shops, cafes, shower, toilet, water activities, inflatable towns on the water. But all around is a village. There are practically no hotels. There are no sunsets on this beach.

After 18-19 hours, the beach completely dies out. But I really like it here. The only negative is the long drive from everywhere. It is closer from Long Beach, but from our Ong Lang it is almost 30 km one way. You have to wind kilometers and spend an hour on the road.

Ong Lang

Ong Lang - a village north of Duong Dong. There is less infrastructure, about 10 cafes and slightly more hotels.

The sand is yellow, coarse. The water is considered cleaner than in Duong Dong, but there is also garbage. I hope it will be removed someday. There are areas with stones. The most normal access to the sea is at Mango Bay. The temple is very sad in terms of garbage.

Bai Dai

- the beach between Ong Lang and Duong Dong. Closer to the city, the beach is terribly dirty, but the northern part of it is nothing. The sand is coarse and yellow, the entrance to the sea is sharp.

Here, palms almost hang over the sea, and cacti grow nearby. No infrastructure, except for the nearest hotel The Shell. Thanks to this hotel there is a good road, but not directly to the sea, but to the hotel. To the sea you need to turn left before the last guard post. It's a shame, but it was on this Fukuoka beach that I was bitten by sand blocks.

Kua kan

Kua kan - beach near Ong Lang, from the village you can walk. In the off-season there are the biggest waves. There are hotels, and even a village with the same name, Cua Kan. Swimming near the city is simply impossible, it is better to go closer to Ong Lang. There is a cafe on the beach, we did not find any other infrastructure.

Wung Bau

Fukuoka beach Wung Bau very small. Located on the western side of the island and has an attractive view only because of the hotel and restaurant on the beach. They still keep an eye on the cleanliness, so you can safely swim here. The beach is 100 meters long, framed by palm trees and stones. At the edges of the beach, rocks protrude from the water, so you cannot swim there. There are few people here, the sand is yellow and fine.

Bai Trao Beach

Bai Trao - this is not a beach in Fukuoka, but on the neighboring island of Pineapple Island, where you will arrive by. Distance from Fukuoka 7.9 km. It is really beautiful and well-groomed here, there are free sun loungers, and to get into the water, you definitely need to wear a life jacket. This is closely monitored by rescuers, and the reason for this is the large number of Chinese who cannot swim. The beach is here with beautiful sand and palm trees hanging from the water, on which a swing is installed. The entrance to the water is shallow, at the bottom there are first small stones, then sand.

Fukuoka beaches in the north and northeast

There are no bathing beaches in Fukuoka to the north and northeast.

It is very shallow here and the sea is used for any need, just not for swimming. Part of the shore is filled with boats and nets. Local people live here and use the sea for their own purposes.

They build fish farms, backwaters, fishermen's shelters, whatever, but not beaches for tourists. There are almost no hotels here either.

And there are really few travelers here, and they simply have nothing to do here. Cambodia is visible from the north of Fukuoka, but before us it appeared as the faint outline of the mountains. It is a pity that Cambodia is so close, and there is no direct transport to it. Even the piers in this part of Fukuoka have not been found.

And this is Fukuoka Beach in the northeast next to the construction site. The place is occupied by workers, builders and fishermen. They were extremely surprised to see us. Nearby is a garbage dump, bottles and cans. I still hope that cans are collected to be recycled, and not just stored on the seashore.

The worst beaches in Fukuoka

Anthoy

And finally, something that you will never see on advertising posters and that girls from travel agencies will not tell you - Anthoy... This is not some special place that we were looking for to photograph and scare everyone. It is just located just 1 km from the cable car to the "paradise" Pineapple Island. And we were just looking for a place to cool off at sea.

Phu Quoc is a trash island. You can take and take out all the garbage from this island, but it is unrealistic to take out the garbage from the Fukuoka people. They'll screw it up again. If the beach in Fukuoka is for tourists, then they will clean up there, you can stay there. But if you move 50 meters away from this beach, harsh Vietnam begins. The exception is Long Beach, there are hotels everywhere, so every piece of the beach is monitored. But not everyone is so lucky. The most horrible thing is if there is a city nearby. You don't even have to go there. I have not seen this in Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet and Vung Tau.

Gan Dau

The further you go from Duong Dong to the west, the worse and worse the beaches. Another not suitable for swimming Fukuoka beach is Gan Dau... Nearby there is a cafe overlooking the sea, and below all the garbage from this cafe on the coast and the sewage system flows directly into the water.

Duongdong

In the very Duongdong the beach is not suitable for swimming because it contains more debris than sand. Perhaps the garbage will be removed, but then the beach will be filled up again. The farther from the city, the better the beach. Maybe we are not yet lucky because of the low season, at this time heaps of garbage are brought from the sea.

Now you know about the worst and best Fukuoka beaches in Vietnam, where the Fukuoka beaches are on the map. Subscribe to new articles.

Phu Quoc Island is just beginning its large-scale tourism development, yes, this is not a completely wild place, but it can hardly be called fully developed. This is how it can attract the attention of travelers who want to see the untouched beauty of wild tropical nature and bask in the sun on half-empty beaches, sometimes even with white sand. Phu Quoc is an island located in the south of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand.

A great place for a beach holiday in our winter. Here, from the end of November to April, beautiful weather prevails for a measured beach holiday. You shouldn't go here from May to October. The sea becomes exciting during this period. And streams of water pour out from the sky, which at a certain period fill the streets of the city and almost have to swim along them. It looks like this. In this article I will tell you about the beautiful and deserted beaches of Fukuoka Island, where in some places there is even white sand. Sometimes even as from a bounty chocolate ad.

  • The main beach of Phu Quoc Island is Long Beach it is along it that the bulk of all hotels, cafes, restaurants, and shops are located, and all other beaches need to be reached around the island by bike or taxi.
  • Sea in high season (November to April) is mostly calm in the west, warm, clean - a great place for a quiet beach holiday. Sandy gentle entry into the sea. A convenient place for families with children.
  • The scorching sun can ruin your holiday, if on the very first day you go swimming from 11 am to 2 pm without any sunscreen or cape, but even with protection at this time it is better not to appear in the sun. With bathing, it is better not to overdo it because the sun is reflected from the water even more. Sunset is approaching somewhere around 18:00 pm.
  • In many Asian countries, beach fleas and flies are found on the beachesbut do not be alarmed, their bites can be avoided if you follow the simplest rules. Lie on a mat or lounger. Standing on the wet sand in the waves. Move, when walking, they will not have time to bite you, fleas are very lazy creatures. About flea and insect bites, Zhenya wrote an article where he tells what local ointments can help relieve itching, if you are still bitten -
  • All beaches are urban and do not belong to hotels, know this if you are not allowed to the sea. There are, of course, expensive hotels with a closed area through which security guards may not let you pass. However, no one can forbid you to walk on the beach. The phrase "Kol policy" (call the police) - has a sobering effect on them if you walk along the beach, and do not break into the main gate of the hotel

  • To find these beaches in the area, buy a SIM card with Internet access. What SIM card and what tariffs to buy in Fukuoka. Use a google map, which shows almost all the beaches of the island.

I wanted to post a separate video for each beach, but decided that it was better to give a link to the playlist:

Beach Long Beach (Long Beach)

This beach is located on the western side of the island. Most of the hotels in all of Fukuoka are built in the immediate vicinity of it. It is here that the whole tourist life of the island takes place, there are many cafes, restaurants, shops. This is the main densely populated beach on the island. There are a lot of people... Tourists, service personnel, hotels, the river that takes out the city's garbage - all this is not good for cleanliness.

Long Beach is quite long with a gently sloping sandy entrance. The sand on it is yellow, in some places the beach is narrow because of the buildings of various hotels close to the sea. The length of the beach, according to various sources, is from 10 to 15 km. Now Long Beach is divided into many small beaches. For example, the well-known golden sand beach, episode, sunset beach are all one Long Beach.

In high season, with an influx of tourists, between December and February, biting plankton breed in Fukuoka water... The reaction to it in people is different: from light biting, to allergic reactions. It is not possible to predict the reaction in advance, but in most cases the itching disappears 5-10 minutes after leaving the sea. But plankton is not always the case, which is very pleasing.

Sun loungers in most places in Fukuoka are paid, saw the price of 100 dong (300 rubles) for one day, and it's free if you live in a hotel on the beach. Compared to Cambodia, it is a little expensive, because where the price for a sun lounger on the beach was equivalent to buying something in a cafe, it could even be $ 1 water.

Episode and Golden Sand Beach - part of Long Beach

Since Long Binch is very long (it was called so for a reason), some of its parts cannot be seen without a vehicle (scooter or taxi). Since 2017, the northern part of the beach (right on the territory of the Sanset Sonato hotel) has become famous for its new project Episode. Here you can see the remains of art objects created by the builders of Kazantip and partially destroyed by Episode. Access to the beach is paid, but you can go by water from the Golden Sand Beach bar, as, as a reminder the entire coastline of Fukuoka - urban and private can not be!

Beach episode coordinates on google map: https://goo.gl/maps/65NJeFb41XK2

The Episode features amazing buildings that have already become a new attraction in Fukuoka. They can be seen and captured on a camera, and completely free of charge, you just need to get there. And to argue a little with the security, proving that 30 meters of beach in Vietnam is a public place and cannot be a private territory.

Unfortunately, these fish are no longer there - they were demolished with some other objects

Right behind the fence from Episode there is another interesting beach with an old Zhigulenka and many objects for an unusual photo session. This is one of the places in Fukuoka with free sun loungers. it golden Sand Beach - a beach of golden sand. Cafe, music and a great place to meet a sunset:

Finding a beach on a google map is also not difficult: https://goo.gl/maps/Pj6hgrnULY92

Also quite a nice place with beach parties - this is Sunset Beach. It houses the bar of the same name, where performances by Vietnamese and foreign DJs are held daily. Prices in the bar are slightly higher than the city average, but quite normal for the beach. Free sun loungers and a relaxed atmosphere

Bai Sao Beach (Sao Beach orBaiSao)

To Bai Sao beach you need to go to the south of the island, from the city of Zuong Dong about 20-25 km. You can rent a scooter, you can take a taxi (by the way, a taxi costs 1 km from 8,000-10,000 dongs). The main road leading to it is of good quality, only the last 2 km at the exit is a completely bad dirt road. It was very inconvenient to ride on a bike because of the piled stones, and taxi drivers and buses were constantly overtaking and raising dust. Therefore, if you go there once, just to see the beach, it is better to choose a taxi, but if the difficulties do not scare you, then:

The first impression of the beach is amazing:

  • it cuts my eyes straight from the white sand
  • blue bay (everything is as in advertising)
  • palm trees with swings suspended from them

I have never seen such a beautiful beach.

Bai Sao beach coordinates in Fukuoka on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/wjY3ppYMjXN2

However, upon closer inspection, Bai Sao Beach is not at all deserted. There are several hotels on it, and guests are sunbathing on sun loungers. Other tourists from all over the island constantly come to see and capture the beauty of the beach. Therefore, the photo on the swing turns into a small queue, because everyone wants a great shot on such an amazing beach. By the way, you will be charged 20,000 dongs for a swing, but you can do without levies.

There is some debris in the bushes between hotels and in the tidal wave, which spoils the view. The mud is usually cleaned up by hotel workers, but new garbage is dumped daily by the sea during the high season. Perhaps you need to come to this beach early in the morning to enjoy the peace and quiet. You can also go a little to the side or stop by the neighboring Paradise beach - about it a little lower.

The sea, due to the white sand, seemed transparent, however, it was exciting that day. Also, our guys stayed to sunbathe in the shade, and they were bitten by midges.

We wouldn't live here on the outskirts, except for a couple of hotels and cafes there is nothing else. No infrastructure, this is a place for a short relaxation and immersion in oneself, however, many residents of megacities strive for this, for two weeks of solitude from the whole world. Here is a review recently left by guests of Bai Sao Beach in Fukuoka:

Firstly, the road is personally from us, and we are online - it costs about 500,000, and secondly, these most popular swings are paid, each for 20,000, while no one is there, of course you can take a picture quickly. But if you come up, a ton of negativity will fall out on you, like “no, don't sit here, you can't here” and just almost forcefully kicks you out of there. The sea is dirty, when you walk along the beach you have diapers and dead fish under your feet. When you sit on the beach (and you can't sit everywhere, if you don't take a chaise longue for 100,000) you are chased from a good place into a dirty one, where even an old toothbrush is lying on the sand. Small children walk around with garbage bags, they say, they collect garbage, and ask for money like in Indian slums. In general, this, I do not even have words

Paradiso Beach - Paradiso Restaurant

But this is already a truly paradise beach. The beach is located next to the hotel. You can pass safely, leaving the bike in the parking lot - the cost is 100,000 dong. But with this money you can order yourself a cocktail at the bar, so in fact it is just a deposit. Here is the same clean white sand, but unlike Bai Sao:

  • the beach is cleaned regularly and very well
  • swing free
  • no beggars
  • clean shower and toilet

Bai Ong Lang (BaiOngLang)

The beach lies north of the city of Zuong Dong on the west coast of the island. There are cafes and bars here, you can't call it a solitary one, it reminds you of Long Beach. However, all the beaches are good here and each in its own way.

Back in the 2018 season, it could be recommended for a quiet family vacation with children. But now construction is almost everywhere in this area. Noisy. Some of the beaches were closed to guests. In general, the area is still better, as it is located above the river, so there is much less mud in the water. Biting plankton also rarely appear here.

Coordinates of the central beach On Lang on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/quYB62N6DwL2

However, vacationers and guests of Phu Quoc Island also prefer neighboring beaches, for example, the beach of the Mango Bay Hotel, where tourists are calmly admitted. How the beach differs enviably from the city of Long Beach, where not every hotel welcomes guests

.

Bai Vung Bau

This beach is located to the north of the city of Zuong Dong, about 10-12 km. You cannot get there on foot, a taxi or a bike will help you with this. Having driven off to him from the main road, we realized that he was far away, and the road was not particularly good, we had to shake the gravel road and this red earth.
The hotels are located far from the beach, so there are not so many guests here, everyone comes, who on what - scooters, taxis or bicycles.

At the same time, it is not crowded, there is one cafe on it with its own sun loungers and an offer to settle with them and order something tasty, probably when ordering you will not be asked to pay for the sun lounger itself. However, no one bothers to move to one side and sit in the shade of trees.

Vung Bao beach coordinates on Google map: https://goo.gl/maps/9htz8KGrrjJ2

Bai Dai Beach (Bai dai Beach)

This beach can be reached without reaching the Vinperl water park, because then everything is partitioned off and closed by the park and the hotel building before it. If you mark a point on the map and drive up just to this construction site of a large hotel in front of the park, turn left onto the dumped road (if you go from Zuon Dong), along which you can get to the beach not so far.

Approaching the beach, we saw on the right hand the ennobled territory of some hotel, and there was no one on the left, however, a little later builders began to come, apparently from the same construction site, to swim and relax. Perhaps, if you come there in the morning, then there will be no one else and you can sunbathe and swim as you please. The entry into the sea at the time of our arrival seemed very shallow, we had to go further to swim, while trees grow on the shore, under which there is a shadow.

Bai Gan Dau (GanhDauBeach)

This beach is located in the upper part of the island on the northwestern coast, from the town of Zuong Dong to go somewhere 27-29 km.

You drive in a straight line along the road past a Vietnamese village and you find yourself on this beach, it is completely small in size, there are many fishing boats, there is a cafe, but it was dirty when we were there, they did not stay on it, took a photo and left. From this beach you can see several islands of Cambodia, below in the photo they can be seen in the distance. If you drive a little further, along the same road, you can see a Buddhist temple.

The coordinates of the beach on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/HDdsMqRuZoK2

Bai Rash Wem (BaiRachVem)

This is one of the most popular distant beaches. It is worth coming here to admire the beautiful starfish, of which there are quite a few. Therefore, Starfish Beach has become a must-see on time. And hundreds of tourists come every day to see the starfish by taxi and bike. This is the second most famous beach on Fukuoka Island (just behind Bai Sao).

The coordinates of the beach with starfish in Fukuoka on the Google map: https://goo.gl/maps/PG5WDDXVL3U2

It is only better to go to the left along the beach so that it is clean, because when we arrived, we saw where the cafe was, it was very dirty. And when we moved a little further we could enjoy the stunning view of the sea, starfish, palm trees.

Bai Thom

To this beach, drive about 36 km. from the city of Zuong Dong to the northeast of the island, although there is a cafe here, the beach itself seemed deserted. By the way, the Cambodian coast is also perfectly visible from here.

A great place to sunbathe in what my mother gave birth and do all sorts of different pranks right from the shade under the palm tree. The main thing is not to forget to lie on a towel or a blanket, remember about fleas, I think that on a deserted beach they will be happy with your naked body. Closer to the right end of the beach, you can walk along the bridge to the nearest island to admire the wildlife.

Bai Khem (KhemBeach)

This beach is located on the southeast side of Phu Quoc Island. In the greater part of this beach, there is an expensive hotel Marriot, the minimum cost of a room in which will cost 27-30 tr per day. Security does not allow the beach territory through the hotel. Just, in our chat about Fukuoka, suggested that you can safely walk around the territory and on the beach for a deposit of $ 25. The deposit can be spent in the bar and in the restaurant.

And if you want to get to the free part of the beach, you have to leave the road and drive through the wild wilderness, but it's worth it, there you can sunbathe and swim to your heart's content.

The coordinates of the beach on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/J5e4tmfEsaS2

And finally, the most beautiful sunset, of which there is an amazing multitude and you can admire them almost every day during the warm season.

Come to Phu Quoc Island and admire the sea, sun, palm trees and such beautiful beaches, write in the comments your impressions if you have already been here or questions if something is not clear. Enjoy your trip and rest in this amazing place.

Hello, thanks for the article! I'm going to spend the winter in Phu Quoc, tell me where it is better to stay. I don't want to live in a tourist place, but it is important that you can rent a small apartment (such as a guest house or a home stay), there are shops available, the market and the Internet work. Which beach is better to look around? Thanks guys! Have a nice day!

Good day. Well, here the choice is not very great. The main feature of Fukuoka is its market location. There is no good beach next to it. Since a river flows through the market, and ships, boats and mud float with it, therefore, you will have to settle in a remote location: either He Lang - it's quieter and cheaper here or on Long Beach. In any case, walking distance from the sea and the market is difficult to achieve. If you don't find a place to live yourself, I can recommend reliable guys who helped us to move in. And then recently on the island many dealers have formed

Guys, hello! Thank you very much for the detailed reports on wintering in Fukuoka, I am studying with pleasure) We plan there in early November for 3 months. I was very worried about the opinion on Vinsky of people who were vacationing in Fukuoka this May, about the ubiquitous household waste on the beaches and in the water. That you lie and swim like in a garbage dump ... (((
Personally, we spent the last winter on Koh Samui and in Nha Trang, whichever there was garbage, in Nha Trang there are more places. But this in no way pleaded with the rest of the advantages of the beautiful beaches and the warm sea, in no case did it create the feeling of a garbage dump. Otherwise, the child and I would not have stayed there. Therefore, I want to know from you, how were the eyewitnesses of the piles in the season, how things were with the garbage?

  1. Good day. Thank you for your feedback))
As for the garbage, I will not say that there is more of it here than elsewhere. During a storm and if the current is not good, some of the city's garbage can get to the beach, especially during the rainy season, but as a rule, the beaches are clean. In addition, if the west coast is stormy, then there are quiet beaches in the east and vice versa, so that there is definitely a suitable place on the island.

I started answering, and then I thought it was a whole story, so here's a new article about my observations about dirt, garbage and poverty:

The first thing you want to see in Vietnam is the city of love, passion and flowers - Dalat.
Here is the most unusual and amusing house "Hang Nga" or "Crazy house", which has no equal in the world. It amazes with its unpredictable design and the absence of any system. It does not have a single right angle, but there are many rooms, corridors, mesmerizing passages. The fabulously beautiful building, which tourists aptly dubbed a madhouse, is inhabited by fantastic images of people and animals. In one year, it is visited by at least a million tourists.

Phu Quoc island is a real pearl of Vietnam. Tourists rush here in search of adventure and serene relaxation on the white sand. The main advantage of the island is its numerous beaches.

There is something to admire here, because the magnificent nature has not spared these edges. And thanks to the developed infrastructure, the rest here promises to be eventful and unforgettable. When preparing to visit Phu Quoc Island, you need to decide which beach is better to stay on. However, each of them has a whole list of advantages, so you can visit all of them during your vacation.

Long beach (Truong beach)

The main beach of Fukuoka is called Long beach (also called Truong beach) and is located on the western coast of the island, stretching 7 km south of the city of Duong Dong. A peculiarity is the uneven distribution of vacationers - it is always crowded near hotels, but there are also secluded, truly wild corners, where lovers of everything mysterious should look.

There are many restaurants on the beach with national Vietnamese cuisine. The sand here is light yellow, medium-sized, the entrance to the sea is gentle, which is ideal for children. There are no waves in the morning, but in the late afternoon the wind increases. There are no stones on the beach, but marine life is present: crabs and jellyfish can be easily found. Long Beach is the cleanest beach in Phu Quoc... This is a great place for a romantic getaway - where, if not here, you can see off the sunsets? There is little entertainment, so the time spent here will be calm and carefree, no one will disturb you.

Bai Sao beach

The best beach in all of Vietnam called Bai Sao is located in the southeast of Phu Quoc Island. It is still poorly equipped, although tourists can stay in one of several hotels; the signature restaurant is open throughout the day. There is fine white sand, charming palm trees, clear water, but so far there are few travelers. A heavenly place for a relaxing holiday - a real corner "Bounty"... Today, the appearance of the beach is changing, sun loungers and entertainment infrastructure appear. Children are unlikely to like it here, since it will not be possible to actively organize their leisure time. The sea is not always calm, sometimes a real storm begins, but even in sunny weather the waves are very large here.

How to get to the beach

If you are coming from Duong Dong City, you need to take Highway 46 (National Highway 46) and drive south for 25 minutes. After the bridge, you will find yourself in the village of Bai Sao. You need to drive another 3 kilometers along it, and turn left at a large billboard with the inscription "7UP". In 8-10 minutes you will find yourself at a fork with three paths - two of them lead to the hotels, and the third to the bar. However, all three roads lead to Bai Sao Beach.

Transport prices:

  • Taxi from the airport - 300,000 VND ($ 15)
  • Taxi from Duong Dong city - 400,000 dong ($ 20)
  • Micro bus from Duong Dong - 40,000 VND ($ 2)
  • Moto taxi - 150,000 ($ 7.5).

Ong Lang Beach

For connoisseurs of sightseeing, Ong Lang Beach is 8 km long. The cultural and historical heritage of Fukuoka is located on this coast, and the most curious tourists are offered an excursion to the Fish Sauce Factory. There are many hotels on the beach, but this does not prevent you from finding a secluded paradise surrounded by banana and coconut trees.

The sandy coast, the gentle entrance to the sea and the developed entertainment infrastructure will appeal to every tourist. Here full of activities for lovers of water sports and boating to nearby islands.

How to get to Ong Lang

If you decide to stay at one of the hotels on Ong Lang Beach, you will most likely be able to arrange a transfer from Fukuoka Airport. If you just want to visit this place, you need a road north to Gan Dau.

Vung Bau beach

This beach is located in the northern part of the west coast of Fukuoka. For fans of peace and quiet, it is difficult to find a better place - tourists very rarely wander into these parts, so the romantic atmosphere is present here around the clock. There is a small restaurant on the beach, there is no entertainment infrastructure. Travelers who have been here celebrate clean water, mesmerizing landscapes and white sand... Even children will like it here due to the gentle entrance to the sea, but you won't be able to find sun loungers. And the garbage on the beach spoils the impression of the trip. And the weather is very changeable here, it is usually quiet in the morning, but by lunchtime the water surface ceases to be calm. For the location of Ong Lang, see the map at the end of the article.

Dinh Cau Beach

Another small beach on the west coast - Dinh Cau - lures travelers with crystal clear waters and golden sand. It is crowded, very beautiful and there is something to see. Local attractions include a night market and a colorful temple. There are small stones on the beach, although the entrance to the sea is shallow, but not very convenient for children. The presence of rocks practically excludes the possibility of surfing and other sports. But this particular beach is the only one on Phu Quoc Island where you can jump from a great height into the water... There are many restaurants here, but you can buy food on the market.

Ganh Dau Beach

For the most enthusiastic dreamers and fans of romance, Ganh Dau beach is open - a unique place for a relaxing holiday. It is located not far from a Vietnamese village and is not yet inhabited by tourists. Hotels are just beginning to be built here, and there is almost no entertainment. So no one will distract you from contemplation turquoise surface of the sea, wonderful palm trees and amazing sunsets... The sand here is crystal clear, light yellow, the gentle entrance to the sea is very comfortable. Calm in the morning is a frequent phenomenon, but clouds can gather in the evening. As far as food is concerned, only a small cafe is open to the guests; to taste the delicacies, you need to go to the city.

Bai Dai beach or Bai Dai beach

This beach is located in the northwest of Fukuoka, between Vung Bau and Gan Dau beaches. It used to be considered one of the most "unspoiled" beaches in all of Vietnam, but now the situation is changing - the coastline is being built up with hotels and resorts. Nevertheless, here you can find quiet corners that have not yet been touched by civilization.

For the most part, Bai Dai Beach is clean, covered with fine yellow sand. Due to the construction of large hotels, garbage can be found in some places, but this does not happen often. Bai Dai Beach overlooks Turtle Island, a popular diving and snorkeling destination.

The sea is warm and the water has many shades of green and blue. The descent into the water is smooth, and there is little or no current at all - according to tourists, this beach is well suited for families with children.

Like other western beaches in Fukuoka, Bai Dai has stunning sunsets. Nearby is the Vinpearl amusement park (), where both children and adults can have fun.

Fukuoka beaches

On Fukuoka the most famous are 10 beaches, which differ markedly from each other in the level of comfort, development of tourist infrastructure and cleanliness.

Bai Dai Beach

Dai Beach located in the northwest of the island Phu Quoc... A few years ago, it was one of the most untouched by civilization beaches in the world, and now there is one of the best chain hotels in Vietnam - Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort 5 *.

True, this will not prevent you, if you wish, from finding secluded sections of the beach with untouched nature.

Beach Bai Dai still clean, covered with yellow loose sand. The most uninhabited idyllic stretches of the beach are closer to the beach and opposite the Turtle Island (Hon Doi Moi Island).

Turtle Island (Hon Doi Moi Island) is where diving and snorkelling enthusiasts go and is home to a famous dive site.

The sea here is warm, with a gentle sunset, without currents, with water of various shades from blue to green. The beach strip is not wide, in some areas the casaurina (eolian tree) comes close to the beach.

Beach Dai Beach ideal for children and those who cannot swim.

There are small restaurants along the coast in the village Ganh dau (with still low prices).

Vung Bau Beach (Vung Bau)

Wung Bau one of the least crowded beaches - you will not find anything here except a couple of small restaurants. It is located south of the beach.

The beach is about 4.5 km long, framed by tall grass, palm trees and casaurines.
The sea is calm in the dry season and quite aggressive in the rainy season. The entrance to the water is shallow with a gradually increasing depth.

On this beach, not only starfish, shells, but also sea urchins are not uncommon, so be careful, watch your step.

Close to the beach Wung Bau there are several small hotels (there you can also have a snack):

  • Bamboo Cottages (with its own private beach, luxurious rooms)
  • Vung Bau Resort (gorgeous beach + reasonable price)
  • Mai Phuong Phu Quoc Resort (comfortable beach + reasonable price)

Ong Lang Beach (Ong Lang)

Beach Ong Lang is located on the west coast of the island between the village of Ganh Dau and the main city of the island - Duong Dong.

Ong Lang noticeably different from other beaches: the beach strip here is periodically interrupted by sections of rocks and stones. Here you can watch not only the most beautiful sunsets of the west coast of the island, but also numerous fishing boats crossing the beach of cows.

The beach is covered with light yellow loose sand, quite clean (hotel staff regularly clean their areas), limited by palm trees and casaurines.

The sea here is clear, green-blue, calm, with a gentle entry into the water, at the beginning of the high season (November - December), occasionally there may be jellyfish.

Along the beach Ong Lang there are a lot of small hotels, guest houses, restaurants, fast food outlets. If you need more variety in restaurants and shops, then go to Duong Dong - 15 minutes and you are there.

Ganh Dau Beach (Gan Dau Beach)

Beach Gan Bau Beach is located at the northern tip of Phu Quoc Island, near the village of Ganh Dau. Gan Bau Beach has the shape of a horseshoe, surrounded by forests, covered by low mountains on both sides.

The sand on the beach is yellow, with a significant admixture of ground coral. The sea here is calm, inhabited by various animals (thanks to the presence of corals and stones) - if you wish, you can watch crabs, shellfish, various fish. Opposite the beach you can see the coast of Cambodia (Mount Ta Lon). Fukuoka National Park and Nguyen Trung Truc Temple are nearby and worth a visit.

Right on the beach Gan Bau Beach there are two restaurants where you can taste seafood or national Vietnamese cuisine (the cost of meals starts from 100,000VND). In the village itself, you can sample traditional Vietnamese food for 35,000 VND. As of March 2016, there was not a single working ATM here.

There are no hotels on the beach, but you can stay at Ganh Dau.

Sao & Khem Beaches (Bai Sao and Bai Khem)

Beach Sao Beach is located in the southeast of the island, 7 km from the town of An Thoi. This is one of the best beaches not only in Vietnam, but throughout Southeast Asia.

Sao Beach is famous for its white sand - very much like the beaches of the Caribbean.

The best section of the beach is next to the restaurant Paradiso (it was previously called “No Problem”). In the southern part of the beach, the sand is yellow, coarser, and it is difficult to call the beach clean. Several years ago it was perfect, but now you can see the consequences of its popularity - some areas are covered with debris.

The sea here has a characteristic turquoise hue, shallow (to a depth of more than 100 m).

In the sea you can see many fry of fish, crustaceans, sometimes squid, in September - October there are many starfish near the coast.

Today on the beach Sao Beach you will find many restaurants, bars, small hotels, tour offices, boat and kayak rentals, windsurfing and kitesurfing centers.

Beach Bai Khem located next door, known for its white sand. Until 2014, this part of the island was closed to tourists (there were military facilities here). Now access is free, but contrary to what is written about the beach on the Internet, it cannot be considered comfortable: the coastal waters are rich in fish, shrimp, anchovies, and this has led to the fact that the largest fish market is located here. Anyone who has visited such markets in Vietnam at least once knows that there is no need to talk about cleanliness here.

In the near future, the authorities plan to close the fish market here and convert the beach exclusively for tourism.

Long Beach (Long Beach)

Long Beach It is the epicenter of a beach holiday in Fukuoka - 20 km of golden sand, turquoise sea and gorgeous sunsets.

The beach is located on the west coast of the island just 10 minutes from the international airport. It is comfortable to sunbathe, swim, engage in water sports, relax and simply bask in the sun.

Numerous hotels, restaurants, shops stretch along the entire beach. Vendors right on the beach will offer you drinks, fruits, seafood.

The beach is conventionally divided into 2 parts: north and south.

North of Long Beach has a length of 5 km, starts at the Eden Resort (in Duong Dong, near the new airport) and ends at the cliffs near the Trang An Phu Quoc Hotel.

South of Long Beach stretches for 15 km, includes a series of small local beaches (Xep Beach, Dai Do Beach, Duong Co Beach, Duong Xanh Beach, and Vuon Dua Beach). It is not so crowded here, the infrastructure is somewhat less developed than in the northern part. It is worth going here for those who are looking for peace and quiet.

Low population of the southern part of the beach Long Beach the phenomenon is temporary - large-scale construction of large tourist complexes begins here (by 2020, construction is planned to be completed).

Rach Tram & Rach Vem Beaches

Both beaches are located in the north of the island, surrounded by tropical jungle. The beaches are rarely visited by tourists - the roads to them are unpaved, the tourist infrastructure is not developed, luxurious nature and heaps of garbage on the shore in the form of broken boats, old nets, plastic boxes, etc. In general, these beaches are waiting for the master's hand.

Thom Beach (Thom Beach)

Thom Beach located in the north of the island - a very quiet and calm beach, surrounded by thickets of cashews (hazel). You can get here only by a dirt road, the infrastructure is poorly developed, but inexpensive small hotels are still available.

The sea in the beach area Thom Beach small, ebb tides are noticeable.

In the future, it is planned to build a tourist center here.

Cua Can Beach (Cua Can Beach)

Beach Kua Kan Beach is located on the west coast of the island between the beaches in the south and in the north. At this point, the Kua Kan River flows into the Gulf of Thailand, forming many shoals with thickets of casuarinas. This place is not very suitable for swimming, with the exception of small sections of the beach.

Vong Beach (Wong Beach)

Beach Wong Beach the first one seen by guests arriving on the island by water: there is a ferry terminal, where they arrive from the mainland. From the island's capital Doung Dong - 8 km, nearby is the village of Ham Ninh.

The surrounding nature looks much nicer than the beach itself, especially when you consider that two additional berths are currently under construction.

The sea is shallow here, jellyfish are often found. It is unlikely that you will have a desire to rent a house in this part of the island, but it is quite possible to taste seafood.

A trip to Phu Quoc would not be complete without a visit to its most famous Long Beach. This strip of golden sand stretching for 20 km is the epicenter of life for both locals and tourists. The secret of Long Beach's popularity is its excellent location - in the west of Fukuoka, 10 minutes' drive from the international airport. Here you can swim, water ski, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

Long Beach is informally divided into two beaches: north and south. The northern, 5 km long, stretches from the Eden Resort to the Trang An Phu Quoc Hotel, where the sandy beach turns into a rocky shore. South "Long Beach" is much longer - 15 km - it starts in the town of An Toi and ends south of the Eden Resort.

Parallel to "Long Beach" stretches a hotel village, all the beach chairs on the beach belong to some hotel. In most cases, vacationers are not banished from the sun loungers, but it is better to buy a cocktail or a glass of beer at the hotel bar.

Long Beach has a huge selection of cafes, restaurants and bars, as well as street vendors actively scurrying back and forth. For 20,000-30,000 VND they will offer cold drinks, coconut milk, fresh fruit and even seafood. A relaxing massage from a professional master for 50,000-60,000 VND will help complement the pleasure. The prices on the page are for September 2018.
