Insurance premiums collected from foreigners

Everyone is aware of the fact that the income of the citizens of any country is subject to taxation. Similar rules exist in Russia. And if it’s more clear about them, then let’s figure out how things are with regard to foreigners who have decided to work in our state, taking into account that there will be no pension for them here. So, how are insurance premiums calculated from foreigners in 2017 and what is it?

Amount of contributions

Since 2016, many employers have begun to employ foreigners more willingly - it has become more profitable for them. But before you answer about deductions, you need to understand what determines their amount.

All persons arriving from foreign powers are divided into categories, depending on the permission that makes it possible for a foreign citizen to live in the Federation:

  • temporarily staying;
  • - residents;
  • permanent residents.

There are permanent residents with a residence permit, the 2nd group includes people who are temporarily staying, there are people who are still in the state for.

All categories indicated above are subject to the accrual of all necessary contributions. A separate group should be identified - highly qualified specialists - employees whose annual income exceeds 1,000,000 rubles. Then insurance premiums for a foreigner temporarily staying in the Russian Federation are not paid in 2017.

Payments in PF

The main disadvantage of the new calculation of tariffs for payments used in relation to foreign citizens is that they were previously charged when the period of non-permanent stay of a labor migrant was six months. Today, a similar payment is made from the first working day. Previously, it was much more profitable for an employer to employ foreign citizens than native citizens of the Federation.

Today everything has changed. Contributions to the wages of foreign citizens staying in the state are not charged only for highly qualified workers. Others are subject to a 22% rate.

Contributions to the Social Insurance Fund

Contributions to the Social Insurance Fund are applied to foreigners who are not permanently staying, if they have concluded an agreement with the employer for a period of six months or more. The FSS rate for foreigners in 2017 is 1.8%. For other groups, 2.9% is set. It must be said that citizens of foreign countries are entitled to receive sick leave benefits, but child and maternity benefits are not.

Financial payments related to injuries apply to all groups of people who came to the Federation. Tariffs vary and depend on the area of \u200b\u200bthe company.

Health Insurance Fund

Insurance payments in the FFOMS from foreigners in 2017 are not charged on the salary of workaholics temporarily staying, and on highly qualified workers. This does not apply to those living in Russia permanently - for them the rate is 5.1%, which is similar to the rate that exists for native Russians.

The new regulations state that the amount of remuneration for which payments to the Medical Insurance Fund are accrued has no limit.
