Day 3

Breakfast in the hotel.
Guided tour of the castles of North Zealand (5:00).
We will go on a tour of the castles Fredensborg, Frederiksborg and Kronborg, which are considered one of the most beautiful castles in Northern Europe (visual inspection). We will pass by the summer royal residence - Fredensborg Castle, which translates as "Peace Castle". This castle was built by King Frederick IV at the end of the Great Northern War and has since served as a country palace for Danish monarchs (visual inspection). Then we will visit Frederiksborg Castle. The history of this castle begins in 1560, when King Frederick II acquired this land and built his first hunting castle here, on three natural islands. Here, one of the most prominent kings in the history of Denmark, Christian IV, was born, who almost completely rebuilt his father's castle and erected in its place a magnificent palace in the style of the Dutch Renaissance. This castle played a very significant role in the history of Denmark: here, in the Church of Frederiksborg, the ceremony of "wedding to the kingdom" of the Danish absolute monarchs was performed, here the king presented the highest order of the Danish monarchy - the "Order of the Elephant", here King Frederick 3 held a feast in honor of his worst enemy, the king of Sweden. Danish monarchs loved this palace, which for a long time served as a suburban royal residence. Kronborg Castle is known as "Hamlet's Castle at Elsinore". He received his worldwide fame, of course, thanks to the tragedy of Shakespeare. For centuries, this castle served as an impregnable fortress, a royal residence, as well as a prison and barracks. First of all, its role was determined by its geographical position: it is located in the narrowest part of the strait between Denmark and Sweden, its width reaches only 4 kilometers and in clear weather the outlines of Sweden are clearly visible. The way back will lie along the famous Danish Riviera along the towns of Niva, Lyngby, where we will also stop at observation platforms.

Return to the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast in the hotel.

Free day or additional excursions to choose from:

Trip to Roskilde (4 hours).

Roskilde is a port city on the banks of a fjord in Denmark, in the east of the island of Zealand. The city is named after the legendary founder - King Ro and the sacred springs (Danish kilde), some of which have survived in the vicinity of the city. Roskilde is the former capital of Denmark (until 1443), the seat of Danish kings and government. The city is still the seat of the bishop. Roskilde is called "the capital of the Vikings". In 1962, marine archeologists raised five ships of the 11th century from the bottom of the fjord. Lying on top of each other, the ships created a barrier blocking the entrance to the harbor for the enemy fleet. The pieces of the ship are now on display at the Viking Boat Museum in Roskilde. One of the main attractions of the city is the old Cathedral, erected in 1280 as a symbol of the unity of the state, as well as the secular and ecclesiastical authority of the king. From the middle of the 15th century, when King Eric of Pomerania transferred the capital to Copenhagen, the cathedral began to be used as a burial vault for members of the House of Oldenburg. Until 2006, the remains of the Russian Empress Maria Feodorovna, mother of the last Russian Tsar Nicholas II, were buried in the cathedral.

Drive to the fishing town of Drager and new districts of Copenhagen (2 hours).
The small town of Draeur is located on amager Peninsula, or as the locals call it Ama, near Copenhagen and Kastrup airport. Drager retained its charm and atmosphere, getting into the town, as if you are transported to the past centuries: cobbled streets, miniature yellow houses with bright flower beds, and all this on the seashore and next to a small harbor. The town is known for its maritime history and long fishing traditions; trade and fishing has been conducted in the town since the Viking Age. After visiting the town of Drager, we will go to inspect the new areas of the city, which many experts call the cities of the future. The guide will show quarters of modern architects, will tell you about the construction concept Erestad district, about new innovative technologies and solutions that have been and are being applied in Copenhagen. You will learn about the construction of fully autonomous homes, the construction of Copenhagen metro lines. After exploring Amager Island, we will go to iceland region Bruges, where we will see the modern quarters, which are surprisingly organically blended into the historical buildings. Of course, our acquaintance with the architecture of Copenhagen would be incomplete without a visit libraries Black Diamond, Royal Operaand, of course, futuristic bridges and beaches on the shores of the fjord.

Return to the hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast in the hotel.

Free day or optional excursion:

Trip to Legoland (9 hours).
Legoland Park is located on the Jutland Peninsula, about 230 km from Copenhagen, travel time approx. 3 hours one way. The road to the park will take just over two hours, and along the way we will drive along the longest in Europe bridge, Sture Belt... This suspension bridge, the world's third longest span, connects Denmark's two largest islands, Zeeland and Funen.
Founded by LEGO designer Gottfred Christiansen in 1968, the park has become one of the largest children's amusement parks in Europe. All models in the park are made of LEGO bricks and represent various models of famous historical monuments of Denmark, Europe and America: models of streets, castles and whole squares. Here you can also become a Star Wars hero or a sea pirate, get your first "driver's license" and ride various attractions. In Legoland everyone will find entertainment to their liking. Do not forget to wash gold in the canyon and get your “gold” medal. Legoland Park is relatively small in size and, as a rule, one day in Legoland is enough to have time to see everything.

Legohaus Interactive Park

Day 5. Legoland - Copenhagen

Once breakfast is complete at the hotel, a transfer will take you from Legoland to Vejle Train Station. From there you will travel to Copenhagen (Central Station) by high speed train. Upon arrival, you can plan your next day yourself: spend it at your discretion or go on an additional five-hour excursion to castles in North Zealand.

During the tour you will see the most beautiful castles in Europe: Fredensborg, Frederiksborg and Kronborg(visual inspection).

First, you will go to the summer royal residence - Fredensborg Castle or "Peace Castle". It was erected by King Frederick IV in honor of the end of the bloody Great Northern War; since then, generations of Danish monarchs have rested here in the warm season.

After that, you will visit Frederiksborg Castle. Its history begins in the distant 1560: King Frederick acquired three natural islands and built his first hunting castle here. Later in Frederiksborg, the founder's son was born - the famous Christian IV, who later became one of the greatest Danish kings. Christian almost completely rebuilt his father's castle, turning it into a beautiful palace in the style of the Dutch Renaissance. The castle had to play a big role in the history of the kingdom: here absolute monarchs were “crowned kingdoms”, the ceremony took place in the castle church, saw the fortress and the presentation of the “Order of the Elephant” - the highest royal award, and the famous feast that King Frederick gave for his worst enemy - king of neighboring Sweden.

Kronborg Castle gained its fame after Shakespeare wrote the famous tragedy about Hamlet. Now it is often called "Hamlet's castle in Elsinore". For centuries, Kronborg served as a fortress and royal palace, as well as a barracks and a prison. This is due to the advantageous position of the castle: in the narrowest part of the strait. The width of the water barrier is only 4 kilometers: from such a distance, the outlines of Sweden are clearly visible from the castle.

Back to Copenhagen you will travel along the famous danish Riviera... Along the way, you can get to know the towns Niva and Lyngby, stops are planned at the observation platforms of these settlements.
