Rosa Khutor -is a world-class all-season resort. It is located in the village of Estosadok, which in turn stretches at the very foot of the Main Caucasian ridge. Of course, most of the holidaymakers want to get here during the winter holidays, as there are excellent ski slopes that were designed by the world's best experts. Next week, from 12.03.2018 to 16.03.2018, the resort invites to the XII Open Championship among instructor teams and instructors of Russian ski centers.
The event is held every year and aims to develop and popularize alpine skiing and snowboarding in the country, strengthen ties between the teams of instructors of domestic alpine skiing centers, and form an active professional community.
The Championship program includes: snowboarding and alpine skiing in giant slalom, open disputes, master classes, demonstration descent of athletes with the performance of difficult turns and tricks.
The Slopestyle contest is scheduled for next Saturday. Descending from a height of 1,350 m, athletes perform a variety of acrobatic stunts on jumps, slide boxes and handrails set one after another.
Everyone who is confident in their sports talents is invited to participate.
From 17.03.2018 to 24.03.2018, a congress of snow sports and tourism will be held. The event is designed to strengthen Russia's international ties with the CIS countries, Europe and Asia. It will allow the participants to exchange experience and discuss the development of winter sports.

New tracks and lifts
This winter season at the Rosa Khutor resort a new (already 28 in a row!) Cable car “Daphne”, located in the Ober Khutor circus, began to operate. It is part of a project to unload the resort in the Rosa Stadium area (now it is not necessary to slide down to the Dryad cable car along the narrow tracks past the upper lake if you plan to go up again later) and will facilitate access to (a unique snow park made of natural materials, will open in January).
The parking lot at Rosa Stadium has been significantly increased (it is still free). As in the previous season, for those who went there by car, a one-day ski pass will cost 100 rubles less. Thus, a company of four people can save up to 850 rubles per day (on parking and ski passes).
New tracks of different difficulty levels have appeared on the South Slope. (red) which originates from the top of the Crocus cable car is now twice as long, and the red tracks of Oread and Adonis have been added to it. There is also another track for beginners Yavor 2 - very beautiful and long (3.8 km). The naiad last year was red - this season will not be wasted, which means it will join the zones for easy freeriding.
The roll-out zone on the South Slope has been changed and expanded, snow generators are installed below. But by lunchtime on the South Slope there are the same problems with the capacity of the cable car, as in the previous year, so we recommend going there in the morning.
To the left of the Edelweiss cable car (when viewed from below), a blue Alpika trail has appeared, along which it will be possible to come to Rosa Khutor from the Alpika resort - it is relevant for holders of a single ski pass (when it appears).
Evening skiing
This season, the resort has increased the number of lighted trails! In addition to the green (training tracks) Chalet and Juventa, the blue Rose Blade track and the red Rose Star track will be available. Evening skiing has always attracted the uncrowded slopes and fresh velveteen, and now with a variety for riders of all levels of riding.

Trails and lifts
This season, the resort will have two new training areas with green slopes for those just planning to get up to ski or snowboard. These trails will be equipped with drag lifts. One zone will be located in the eastern sector to the left of the Polikarya Waterfall lift (K13), and the second in the central one next to the Snow Star lift (K8).
The "Eastern Sector" was finally connected to the "Central Sector" - the blue 13T highway in the area of \u200b\u200bthe avalanche dam. This will definitely make it easier to move around the resort. Previously, the red track 2C which started from 1500m. up to 960m. this year it turned into a blue 2F, it became flatter due to additional serpentines, and, accordingly, longer - 1.2 km, with a height difference of 470 meters. A small black patch 2C appeared next to it.
The resort has 4 dedicated zones (of which only one is still open), where off-piste skiing will be allowed: 2 in the Central and 2 Eastern sectors of the resort. These areas are marked on the map as black trails with a blue dash. Freeride will now be officially allowed in these areas. They will be served by a rescue service. All of them are located above 1000 meters above sea level. These sections are very difficult and unpredictable and you can ride them with special training and equipment.
In the coming season, tracks 2B and 2D in the Central Sector will be closed. A landslide came down in this place in the spring, the slope was strengthened in the fall, but the tracks will not open this season, this area is prohibited for visiting. We do not recommend taking risks.
Evening skiing
Closed until next winter season.
Only tracks 8A and 8E are open, access to which will be provided by the Snezhnaya Zvezda K8 lift and the K9 drag lift.
Evening skiing will be available daily from 18:00 to 23:00, weather permitting. The cost of the ski pass is 950 rubles. (08.01-11.03 excluding holidays), 1050 rub. (23–25.02), 1000 rub. (12–31.03)

New tracks and lifts - Alpika!
This season, the resort opened a new ski area "Alpika", earlier there was located the first cable car in Krasnaya Polyana "Alpika-service", which was loved by many skiers for its ski area even before the 2014 Olympics. Now, hybrid lifts go to the upper station at 2256m - both closed booths and open chairs can hang on them at the same time. Cafes, restaurants and equipment rental will appear at the transfer stations.
Evening skiing
This season, the resort's night skiing area will remain the same. It will be available daily from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, weather permitting. The cost of a ski pass is 1200 rubles. (Mon-Thu), 1350 rub. (Fri-Sun) from 1 to 20 March.
