Leisure. About the place extreme amusement park So, you are in Phuket, what to do? Our suggestions. Let's start with the simplest ones and move on to active rest.

Do you think museums and temples are for pensioners tired of life? Then this article is for you! We will show you where in Phuket to ride the waves on a wake, master surfing and kiting, overtake a friend on the map and dive to the very bottom of the sea

To lazy borers, extreme sports seem unsafe and challenging. Only true connoisseurs and a little crazy know what it means to conquer the wave, open up new possibilities of your body and win over yourself! No wonder they say that it doesn't matter how many breaths you take in your life - only those moments from which you catch your breath are valuable!

By the way, even squirrels and dogs managed to master the basics of some extreme sports! Remember New York Twiggy and the Canadian Duma? The "cute" rodent simply loves water skiing and demonstrates his skills on television, and the Jack Russell Terrier rides a wake well and even knows how to drive a motor boat.

Ksenia, editor-in-chief of the Zagranitsa portal, kitesurfer

Kitesurfing is a sport that everyone will like, even those who do not really like physical activity. You can learn in three days if you work hard for several hours a day and the wind forecast is in your favor. Phuket has some great kite spots. Many athletes are sure that there is nothing to fish here and it is better to go to Vietnam, where it is “blowing” steadily, but this is not so. The beaches of Nai Yang and Chalong are suitable for training, "blowing" in Phuket from November to April, and only in the summer there is nothing for a kitesurfer to do on the island.

Phuket never ceases to amaze and shock. In the dense jungle of the island, not only rare plants and animals lurk - brave Thais have built a real adventure park for extreme lovers, in which you will have to move at high altitude, feeling like Indiana Jones and Spider-Man rolled into one. However, they did not forget about the young explorers, but their journey was made safer. The first desperate adrenaline seekers tried the tracks in April 2011. The park was renewed in 2013, becoming even more interesting.

Entertainment

The French were involved in the development of the Jungle Xtrem Adventures amusement park. The same company owns the construction of seven similar complexes in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and France. Thanks to the rich experience of specialists, an unusual place has appeared on the map of Phuket, where everyone can try to overcome the obstacle course, choosing the level of difficulty of the trail depending on their strength and age.

The adventure park is located in the jungle. Rope bridges with planks, logs, rope loops, ladders, nets, ropes are stretched between the huge trees, at a height of three to thirty meters, vertical shields are installed. A wooden platform is securely attached to each trunk. The task of tourists is to make transitions from one such site to another, simultaneously enjoying the unusually beautiful landscapes and getting a whirlwind of indescribable sensations. There are 73 sites in total. But the apparent simplicity of the passage is deceiving. You have to balance, fly, climb and climb trees - each trail has amazing new adventures. The maximum speed that can be gained in flight reaches sixty kilometers per hour. At such moments, you begin to believe that people can fly like birds.

Jungle Xtrem Adventures offers four different programs with different levels of difficulty. The most extreme ones allow you to feel like a real hero from the movies. If it's too scary, try a simpler level. There is even a family program and a special area for kids - "Acro Spider", consisting of 21 sections. Its peculiarity is that, having accidentally broken off, the child flies with delight on the stretched net. And such falls are no less attractive for young adventurers than swings, ropes and other joys that allow them to throw out all the irrepressible physical energy.

Helpful information

All equipment, equipment and every section of the track are regularly tested and checked for wear by highly qualified specialists from the company from France.

Before setting off on the road, each participant in the adventure undergoes detailed instructions (in English), carefully listens to the rules of conduct and safety, and then receives equipment (carbines, pulleys, slings, gloves, helmet). Adventure park visitors set off under the supervision of an experienced instructor and with reliable double complementary insurance.

Children aged four and over are allowed on the Acro Spider.

Requirements for adult visitors: minimum height 120 cm, weight maximum 130 kg, pregnant women and people with serious health problems are not allowed.

The uniform is sportswear. Shoes must be closed, but if you forget them, they will rent sneakers and socks, you just have to ask politely. Hair will need to be pinned or tucked under a hat. If you have personal elbow pads or an elastic bandage with you, they will come in handy.

Visitors are welcome every day from 10 am. The park closes at 6 pm. The ticket price for adults (three-hour program) is 2500 baht and 1800 baht for children. The cost of staying only in the children's area is 600 baht.

The transfer is provided by hotels located in the following zones: Patong, Kata, Bangtao, Naiharn, Panwa. Otherwise, you will have to pay 300 baht for an adult and 200 baht for a child.

Due to the fact that the park is located at some distance from tourist centers (Chalong, A.Muang, Phuket, 83130, Thailand), mainly those who have heard about the "Adventure in the Jungle" come here: some Russians, Japanese, Chinese, locals. To get to Jungle Xtrem Adventures, drive from the Chalong junction to the side along Chao Fah Rd.

A beautiful island, green jungle, adrenaline surging in blood, arms and legs trembling with fatigue - this is what tourists come to Jungle Adventure Park for. Time flies by. It is worth trying all kinds of programs - from the simplest to the one that will take the spirit of even the bravest visitors. These vivid emotions and feelings will not leave you for a long time.

Active rest in Phuket and its surroundings.

Rate entry

Active rest is more of a permanent lifestyle than a fleeting impulse. There is this type of people for whom a vacation without adventures is a wasted time. Perhaps one of them.

Before we start discussing outdoor activities, let's understand its definition. For some, active rest is trekking in Nepal, but for those who were born there it is routine everyday life. Everything is relative.

The explanatory dictionary gives us the following definition of active recreation: "Free pastime associated with the study of new and active physical activity." This is where we will start from in the future, the key words here are physical activity and the study of new things.

1. Diving.
Diving fits the definition of outdoor activities. This is the exploration of a new - the underwater world and physical activity.

Phuket is surrounded by many islands, and some of them are considered some of the best in the world for diving. Diving tours to the area of Phi Phi and Racha islands are sent every day throughout the year.

More experienced divers will be interested in diving safaris in the area of the Similan Archipelago and Surin Island. The best time for diving is from November to May, when you can see whale sharks. The cost of a one-day program with three dives varies from 120 to 150 USD.

And in addition to diving, snorkeling is available right in the vicinity of the island.

2. Deep water Solo.
If you are not familiar with this term, then just look not at the photo! Deep Water Solo is a form of rock climbing above water without belay.

Ton Sai Beach in Krabi province is considered a climbing paradise. Yes, this is certainly not Phuket, the beach is a four-hour drive from Phuket. But is 4 hours a lot for adventure lovers?

4. Independent exploration of the island on a motorbike.

6. Bungee jumping!
Are you bored? A quick burst of adrenaline will help you to put yourself in order! The Bungee Jumping Area is 15 minutes' drive away.

And since the site is located on the lake, you can make your 50-meter jump with or without dipping into the water.

7. Surfing.

Yes, this is also possible in Phuket, though not all year round. A good wave can be caught from May to October. Popular surfing beaches are Naiharn Beach, Surin Beach, Bang Tao Beach.

8. Kiting.

A good season for kiting is from April to September. And the recommended beaches are Nai Yang, Rawai and Layan, as there are practically no high waves and a suitable wind. In Phuket, you can either rent a kite or study at one of the local schools.

9. Cycling tour.
From one day to a week! Get a bike and go on a cycling expedition to the south of Thailand. Why not. This is something you can do on your own or as part of an organized tour. Perhaps only a bike tour can give you the opportunity to fully experience the spirit of the country. On the way, you can get to know more about the life of the local population. Moreover, some places can only be visited on foot or by bike.

So, little by little, I am breaking the stereotype of Phuket as a place for a beach holiday and doing nothing. As the saying goes, there would be a desire, but there is always something to do. Moreover, the list could be even more. I tried to touch, in my opinion, only the most sporting and active entertainment.

Well, if you need more information, you can always ask in the comments. I answer the questions.
