Tsemes Bay(also Novorossiysk bay) is an ice-free bay in the northern part of the Russian Black Sea coast. The second most important bay in the Russian Black Sea basin after the Sevastopol bay. The bay became part of the Russian Empire in 1829, after another Russian-Turkish war. Since then, it has been actively used for the military, trade and passenger needs of the region and, first of all, the city of Novorossiysk. In good weather (from March to November) it is suitable for anchorage of ships of all classes. In winter, the territory adjacent to the bay is characterized by a rather severe wind regime with the maximum wind pressure of the VI category for the RMS.

Geography

It got its name from the Tsemes river flowing into it. The western wing of the bay forms the low-mountain Abrau Peninsula. On the right, it is framed by the higher Markotkh ridge. The length of the coastline is 15 km, it juts into the land for 7 km, the width at the entrance is 9 km, in the middle part - 4.6 km, the fairway - 11.0 - 12.4 m, the depth of the anchor point - 9.4 - 10 , 9 m, maximum depth - 27 m, which allows any ocean-going vessels to enter the bay. The shores in the southwest are low, in the northeast they are elevated, little indented. The entrance to the bay is limited from the northwest by the island of Sudzhuk, and from the southeast by Cape Doob. In the middle of the bay, opposite Cape Penay, there are the Penay banks with a minimum depth of 5-6 m. In the northwestern part of the bay there is the hero city of Novorossiysk and the seaport; in the east - the village of Kabardinka, which is subordinate to the city administration of Gelendzhik. In autumn and winter, a hurricane force wind, nord-ost (bora), poses a great danger to shipping. The force of wind pressure of the VI-th category on the territory adjacent to the bay is the maximum for the RMS.

Navigation conditions

Tsemesskaya Bay is not easy to navigate for a number of reasons. Although the entrance to the bay is quite wide, the rather extensive Penai Banks lie right in the middle of it. Also, sunken ships, their parts and other underwater obstacles pose a certain danger. In addition, the coasts of the bay are bordered by reefs that follow parallel to the coastline at a distance of 1.5 - 2.0 cables from it. Pilotage is compulsory. The depths of the bay increase gradually; near the coast, they are sharply reduced, which makes it necessary to transfer port operations to less protected areas of the open coast. The size of the harbor itself is small, it belongs to the type of the harbor with breakwaters (PV); the slipway in the port is small, and there is no dry dock at all. The collapse of the USSR led to an increase in transport overcrowding in the Tsemesskaya Bay: civil, military and merchant fleets were forced to live here. The annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation made it possible to solve the problem of the location of the military fleet. The ramified and deeper Sevastopol Bay took on naval specialization while securing the Tsemes reserve role with the main emphasis on trade operations.

Climate

The amount of precipitation over the bay in the cold season, as in the Mediterranean, exceeds the amount in the warm season. The slopes of the bay are dry in summer and covered with xerophytic vegetation. The duration of sunshine over the Novorossiysk Bay reaches 2300 hours a year, and the temperature of its water, even in the coldest month - February - usually does not drop below +6 ° C. As a result of heat transfer from the sea warmed up over the summer, even in the winter months, the air temperature above the bay during the day is from +5 ° C and above, and at night it fluctuates around 0 ° C. Being located in the regime of dry subtropics of the Middle-Sea type, the waters of the bay practically do not freeze. However, the raids of the Tsemesskaya Bay do not provide shelter from the northeastern, southeasterly and southerly winds. From November to March, a strong northeasterly wind reaches the strength of a hurricane (or violent storm) with a wind speed of over 29 m / s. and roughness of the sea up to 12 points. For comparison: in Sevastopol, even at the most unfavorable time, the wind over the bay does not rise above the “strong” category (8-12 m / s), which corresponds to the sea agitation of 5-6 points. Bora can persist for several days a year and is accompanied by "soaring" of the sea and "graying" of the tops of the mountains. The air temperature can drop by 10-15 degrees in a couple of hours. Bora in general is difficult to predict and sharply complicates the work of the port in general and the problem of ensuring the safety of ships and people in particular. During the bora, ships are covered with a thick crust of ice dust on the windward side and turn over under the force of gravity.

Tsemesskaya Bay (Novorossiysk)

Tsemesskaya bay

(Novorossiysk)

After the loss of the Crimea at the behest of Khrushchev, Novorossiysk, together with Sevastopol, became the largest Black Sea port in Russia. Dozens of ships enter and leave the Tsemesskaya Bay, along which the city and the port are built, every day, the passengers and crews of which do not suspect that the anomalous features of this place can, under unfavorable circumstances, cause a ship to wreck.

However, sailors are not inclined to blame the strangeness of the bay for their miscalculations, while researchers of anomalous phenomena, on the contrary, are sure that not everything in this world can be explained by simple inattention or lack of the necessary experience. One of the most terrible and ridiculous tragedies from the point of view of logic happened on the night of August 31, 1986, when the passenger steamer “Admiral Nakhimov” and the huge dry cargo ship “Petr Vasev” collided at the exit from the bay. The liner left the bay, the dry cargo ship, on the contrary, returned with cargo to the port. The steamer sank in 8 minutes, out of 1234 on board 423 people went under water with the liner Investigators during the investigation, world-famous scientists, sea captains, and ordinary Russians, getting acquainted with the documents of the tragedy, still cannot understand , how could 2 steamers collide in a large bay in complete calmness and fine summer weather, if the ships were in the line of sight, the crews were experienced, there was more than enough space and time for the ships to diverge. Of course, the liner "Admiral Nakhimov" was led at that moment not by the captain himself, but by his assistant, but he was considered an experienced sailor who was quite capable of coping with the task, especially since Captain V.G. Markov himself agreed to let the ship pass with a dry cargo ship. And nevertheless, the fact remains - the ships collided.

Admiral Nakhimov, defending Sevastopol, ordered the ships to be flooded in order to block the way to the harbor for enemy ships. The city was defended, but since then the ships, named after the brave and enterprising admiral, inevitably suffer shipwrecks.

The actions of the captain of the dry cargo ship in the last few minutes before the collision still seem more than strange: he calmly continued to navigate the ship according to the instruments, which this time for some reason erroneously indicated a successful divergence with the liner, although the first officer who visually observed through the window said several times about the fact that they have come too close to the "Admiral Nakhimov" and continue to move towards rapprochement.

Why, under these circumstances, did not intuition give a sign, which usually does not let the captains of ships, why even the usual logic did not work: check the words of the chief officer by looking out the window.

The investigation delivered its verdict, both captains received several years in prison for negligence in their duties, but this did not give answers to questions. Specialists in anomalous phenomena believe that the special gravitational anomalies of the Black Sea played a decisive role in this matter, which influenced the commands given on the ships. It was they who, according to the researchers, disabled the radars on the dry cargo ship and misled the captain of the "Petr Vasev".

An indirect confirmation of such radio disturbance was the earthquake that followed a few hours later in the Black Sea off the coast of Romania. It is quite possible that the strengthening of the electromagnetic field influenced both the dulling of the vigilance of the liner captain Vadim Markov, who left his post at the most crucial moment, and the actions of his assistant Alexander Chudnovsky, who, despite all his experience, could not take adequate action if not collision prevention, then at least to minimize losses and save the lives of passengers.

Strange events, confirming the anomalousness of this place, happened in the Tsemesskaya Bay and with other ships, but since they did not lead to such tragic consequences, little was said about them and were quickly forgotten. However, after the death of the liner, the military remembered how their watch suddenly stopped on a patrol ship at the same point of the bay, and not only onboard, but also all the wrist watches of the team. It was only after leaving Cape Doob that the clock began to run again and had to be set for a few minutes.

Exactly the same event with the clock happened on a cruise ship sailing on the Black Sea. This phenomenon was so interested in one of the passengers, S.P.Sverbil-Zhivitskaya, who worked at the Odessa University, that she later devoted several years to studying anomalous phenomena in the Tsemesskaya Bay. According to her hypothesis, it is a crater of a cooled volcano. This explains the gravitational anomalies that occur in the bay with an increase in tectonic activity in the Black Sea water area: for example, after that same synchronous stop, all passengers and crew members of the watch had a small earthquake on the Krasnodar coast of the Black Sea; there was an earthquake, as already mentioned, and after the death of the liner. The gravitational anomaly of the Tsemesskaya Bay also explains the almost hurricane northern wind of the bora, blowing from the mountains towards Novorossiysk with such force that it often cuts through whole glades in the forested mountains.

However, so far this is only a hypothesis; research is limited by the fact that anomalous manifestations are characteristic only when tectonic activity occurs in coastal areas or at the bottom of the Black Sea, and it takes a lot of time and large financial resources to identify this in advance and conduct the necessary research.

So the mystery of the Tsemesskaya Bay has not yet been fully solved.

Or Novorossiyskaya, located in the northern part of the Russian Black Sea coast and got its name from the Tsemes River flowing into it. In its northwestern part there is the city of Novorossiysk, and in the east - the village of Kabardinka.

Tsemesskaya Bay has a sad history. So, on June 18, 1918, on the orders of Lenin, ships of the Black Sea Fleet along with their crews were flooded. The sailors preferred to perish in the abyss than to surrender.

The second black date is August 31, 1986, when at the entrance to the bay the steamship "Admiral Nakhimov" collided with the bulk carrier "Pyotr Vasev" and sank.

Sailors consider Tsemes Bay to be a kind of Bermuda Triangle. A bad reputation about her has been living among the people for many years.

Even the Turks, who once lived in the Sudzhuk-Kale fortress, talked about the mysterious horseshoe-shaped bay. With horror, they said that boats were sinking in this bay for some unknown reason, as if someone was dragging them to the bottom. Many people died here, many of whom were skilled swimmers.

During the Second World War, several dozen different ships sank in the Tsemesskaya Bay, and some of them have not yet been found.

At present, the entire bottom of the bay is littered with the wreckage of many ships. Thanks to this, the anomalous zone is a real Mecca for divers who raise numerous artifacts from the bottom, including ancient coins and amphorae. All the more surprising is the fact that no one has yet managed to find some ships that sank in the bay in the 20th century, although there are exact coordinates of the places of their death.

Of course, the wreck of the Admiral Nakhimov steamer was the worst disaster. He arrived at the port of Novorossiysk on August 31, 1986 from Yalta and was supposed to stay here until the evening.

At 22:00, exactly on schedule, the liner moored and the tugs took it away from the pier. At the exit from the Tsemesskaya Bay, the steamer suddenly collided with a gigantic dry cargo ship and sank in 8 minutes. On board at that time there were 1243 people, 423 of whom drowned.

There is still no adequate explanation for what happened. Both captains were experienced sailors, and the collision took place in an almost empty water area. There is a version that the instruments of the dry cargo ship noted the presence of ONE more vessel in the bay and did not recognize the liner "Admiral Nakhimov".

During the rescue operations in the bay, two experienced divers drowned, who, according to the official version, did not have enough air. Other divers who investigated the sunken ship were constantly becoming victims of panic attacks.

All this led to the fact that the work on lifting the steamer was soon stopped, and "Admiral Nakhimov" still rests at a depth of 47 m with cut pipes and masts, covered with special rubber covers.

There is a legend among the people about the curse of Admiral Nakhimov, which became the reason for the crash of the liner.

So, Admiral PS Nakhimov took part in the defense of Sevastopol and ordered the sinking of the ships at the entrance to the Tsemesskaya Bay in order to block the path of the enemies. According to legend, since then all the ships named after the glorious admiral have been wrecked at the entrance to this bay.

However, Tsemesskaya Bay is also known for other anomalies. The clock often stops here. According to the testimony of the sailors, this happens at once for all crew members. Various devices often fail. Usually, when leaving the water area, the clock and equipment begin to work properly again.

At the beginning of the 20th century, residents of the vicinity of Tsemesskaya Bay witnessed terrible accidents that occurred with frightening frequency, in almost the same place.

On the surface of the bay itself, huge circles are often observed in which water revolves.

Relatively recently, at the depth of the bay, work was carried out to inspect the collectors of treatment facilities. Divers were involved in them, who had to work at a depth of more than 45 m. Once one of them prepared to ascend, since the air in his cylinders was running out. To his horror, he found that something was holding him deep and even pulling him down. Only thanks to superhuman efforts, the submariner managed to rise to the surface, but he did not go out to work in the bay anymore.

In the recent past, another strange incident was recorded. During loading operations at the same time, four port employees became ill with heart. As a result, one of them died, and the doctors did not find the cause of the incident.

Scientists explain what is happening in the Tsemesskaya Bay by the presence of a magnetic anomaly in this area, the effect of which is variable and depends on many factors.

Tsemesskaya Bay (Novorossiysk) is located in the northern part of the Black Sea coast. It became part of Russia in 1829 as a result of another war with the Turks. In the mid-80s of the last century, a collision took place here, which claimed more than four hundred human lives.

Geographical position

It got its name from the river, which originates on the slope of Mount Gudzeva. There is one more toponym of the same root - Tsemesskaya grove. The Abrau Peninsula is located at the western part of the bay. On the right is the Markotkh ridge. The length of the coastline of the Tsemesskaya Bay is 15 km. Width - 9 km. From the north-west of the bay is the island of Sujuk, and from the south-east of Doob. The average depth of the Tsemesskaya Bay is 24 meters. The maximum is 29 meters.

Tourism

Vacationers who prefer to get to the Black Sea coast by their own car have driven past the Tsemesskaya Bay at least once. It is located very close to Gelendzhik and Kabardinka, located a few kilometers from the resort town. Not everyone will like the beaches of Tsemesskaya Bay. There is almost no infrastructure here, it is not crowded. However, the places are picturesque, which is confirmed by the photos of the Tsemesskaya Bay, which can be seen in this article.

Sinking of ships

Many important historical events took place in Novorossiysk and its environs. One of them is the destruction of the fleet (1918). Then an agreement was concluded between the Soviet government and Germany, according to which the ships of the Black Sea Fleet had to be transferred to the enemy. Tikhmenev received an order to send ships to Sevastopol, where they would be transferred to the German troops. At the same time, a secret order was received about their flooding.

Tikhmenev pondered for a long time. Ultimately, he decided to bring the ships to Sevastopol. Many officers disagreed with him. On June 18, almost all ships were destroyed by torpedoes. Two years later, the rise of sunken ships began in the Tsemesskaya Bay. Some of them even managed to be restored, for example, "Kaliakria".

"Admiral Nakhimov"

On August 31, 1986, tragedy broke out. 423 people died. In Tsemesskaya Bay, 13 km from Novorossiysk, a collision of the steamship Admiral Nakhimov and the cargo ship Pyotr Vasev took place.

It is worth telling a little about a passenger ship, which almost every Soviet person dreamed of getting on until 1986. "Admiral Nakhimov" was built in the 20s. Then it belonged to the Germans and had a different name - "Berlin". The vessel operated transatlantic voyages between New York and Bremerhaven. During the Second World War it was used as a hospital. In 1945, as a result of a series of events, the ship went to the Soviet fleet.

"Admiral Nakhimov" was the largest passenger ship in the USSR of those that made cruises on the Black Sea coast. Sometimes he carried out cargo transportation to Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Cuba. In the late seventies, a tradition arose: the captain of the Nakhimov was, as a rule, the one who was guilty on an international flight. The ship began to be called the "penalty box ship".

On August 29 I left Odessa for a seven-day cruise. It was supposed to visit Sochi, Batumi, Yalta, Novorossiysk. Passengers did not go through briefing and boat drills. On August 31, at two o'clock in the afternoon, the ship moored in the Novorossiysk port. At 22:00 the steamer was supposed to sail according to the schedule. However, the "Admiral Nakhimov" set off with a ten-minute delay.

The sea was calm, the weather was clear. Most of the passengers were on deck. At 22:38, "Pyotr Vasev", returning from Canada, entered the Tsemesskaya Bay. The captain of the dry cargo ship, as his colleagues later argued in court, had a weakness for "beautiful" divergences, that is, at a distance of 100-180 meters. This was the main cause of the disaster.

At 11 pm, the two ships collided. "Pyotr Vasev" crashed into the starboard side of "Admiral Nakhimov". The ship shuddered twice, as a result of which many passengers were unable to stay on their feet. However, even those who saw the approach of the dry cargo ship did not realize the impending disaster.

The captain tried to run the ship aground, but the electricity was turned on. On the deck, which in a matter of minutes tilted 45 degrees, panic began, typical of such situations.

The cadets of the nautical school were involved in the rescue of the passengers of the "Admiral Nakhimov". The crew of the dry cargo ship managed to take on board 37 passengers of the "Admiral Nakhimov". There was a catastrophic lack of rafts. The steamer sank in 8 minutes. 423 people died. "Admiral Nakhimov", together with the bodies of 64 passengers, who could not be raised to the surface, are still at the bottom of the sea.

Notoriety did not frighten Russian sailors

The whole world knows about the Bermuda Triangle - a "black place" in the Atlantic Ocean, where mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft regularly occur. But few people know that a similar anomaly exists in Russia, on the Black Sea.

Novorossiysk port is the largest in Russia, dozens of ships moor here every day, large and small ships scurry along the Tsemesskaya Bay, travelers and yachtsmen seem to have entered and left the bay hundreds of times on ships of various capacities and prestige. It even hosts sailing regattas. Life is in full swing.

But, from time to time, something wakes up in the bay that makes the city lose another ship, its crew and passengers.

The notoriety of the Tsemesskaya Bay has been stirring the minds of local residents and experienced sailors for several centuries, whom fate brings to these lands.

For the first time, Russians heard about the "mysterious bay" in the form of a horseshoe from the Turks who lived in the fortress of Sudzhuk-Kale, located on the site of what is now Novorossiysk. The boats of the warlike janissaries were sinking in the bay, as if someone were pulling them to the bottom with frantic force.

In broad daylight and without the slightest hint of wind or storm. It happened that experienced swimmers unexpectedly went under the water and decided to swim away from the shore.

According to the legends, it was here that Odysseus went for the golden fleece, Hercules performed feats here, and here Prometheus was chained to the rock. Do you remember the myth about the island of the sirens, who, with their marvelous singing, drove the brave sailors crazy and, as a result, the ships sank along with the people?

According to one of the versions of modern researchers, this "island" was located somewhere in the area of present-day Novorossiysk.

Maybe the curse of Tsemesskaya Bay and the ancient sirens are somehow connected?

It is noteworthy that the shipwreck itself, in all cases, without exception, occurred in a matter of minutes. Regardless of the size of the ship in distress.

However, the Russians, who decided to place them in a sunny and seemingly calm bay, were not frightened by these stories. And as a result, the base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was built here. The geographical position of the Tsemesskaya Bay and the local weather conditions were too suitable.

But the change in the name and national composition of those living on the shores of the Black Sea "Bermuda Triangle" did not in any way affect the unusual qualities of the bay - to attract ships to the bottom.

Ship graveyard

Many merchant and passenger ships enter and leave the harbor all year round, but not all of them reach their destination safely. The bottom of the bay is littered with the remains of ships from different times, sunken for unknown reasons.

Numerous divers who are not afraid of the "curse of the Tsemes Bay" have repeatedly raised to the surface many ancient coins, pieces of amphorae and other finds testifying to the prescription of the shipwrecks that took place in these places.

Interestingly, some of the ships lost in the bay already in the 20th century have not yet been found by underwater explorers. Although there is reliable evidence of their death.

Even the statistics of local shipwrecks itself suggests that the bay is “abnormal”.

Only in the twentieth century the following events (the loudest) took place here:

In 1918, in order to avoid surrender to the Germans, by order of Lenin, the entire Russian Black Sea Fleet was flooded in the bay.

During the Great Patriotic War, several dozen large and small ships perished in the bay, many of which have not yet been found.

On August 31, 1986, as a result of a collision with a dry cargo ship, the legendary passenger steamer "Admiral Nakhimov" died, taking 423 lives with it to the bottom of the bay.

In 1973, in the winter, the ship that was at the pier suddenly became very icy due to a gusty wind and sank to the bottom in a matter of minutes. Only half of the crew managed to escape.

In 2010, search engines found a sunken warship of the "Sea Hunter" type near Novorossiysk. Historians believe that he took part in the battles for Malaya Zemlya during the Great Patriotic War.

It would be logical to assume that the ship was sunk in battle, for example, under fire from German bombers. But if this were the case, then the shells should have exploded and destroyed the ship.

However, the ship has fully preserved ammunition, according to the researchers of the ship. Detonation for some strange reason did not happen.

By the way, during the battles for Novorossiysk, a lot of such oddities happened. But due to the seriousness of the situation and the severity of the battles, practically no one paid attention to them.

And, perhaps, a more attentive attitude to the investigation of shipwrecks in the Tsemesskaya Bay could have saved a certain number of quite normal ships.

The curse of "Nakhimov" or Tsemesskaya bay?

One of the most terrible and logically ridiculous tragedies in Russian shipping happened on the night of August 31, 1986.

"Admiral Nakhimov" was a Soviet passenger steamer, which for 29 years made sea cruises on the Crimean-Caucasian line.

On August 31, 1986 the steamer "Admiral Nakhimov" arrived from the port of Yalta and in accordance with its cruise schedule, at 14:00 moored at the 34th passenger berth of the port of Novorossiysk. In accordance with the schedule, "Admiral Nakhimov" had to stay until evening in Novorossiysk.

At 22:00, when all the passengers were already on board, the steamer gave up and slowly sailed away from the quay wall. The tugs "Fearless" and "Immaculate" slowly took the brightly lit "Admiral Nakhimov" away from the pier, turned it around in the water area and took it to the exit from the port.

At that moment, according to the official version, there were 1243 people on board the Nakhimov. These were 346 crew members and, taking into account the issued cruise vouchers, 897 passengers.

So the steamer left the port for the last time in its 60-year life, having on board 1234 victims.

"Admiral Nakhimov" and the huge dry cargo ship "Petr Vasev" collided at the exit from the Tsemesskaya Bay.

The motor ship sank in just 8 minutes Of the 1234 passengers on board, 423 went under water with the liner.

The investigation almost immediately found the perpetrators of the tragedy - in the opinion of the prosecutors, they were the captains of both courts. For "negligence in their duties," they received several years in prison.

However, the majority of Novorossiys, relatives of the victims and survivors of the Nakhimov, as well as numerous researchers do not believe in such a too simple explanation of the circumstances of the accident.

After all, both captains were experienced "sea wolves", more than once they passed the sea gates of Novorossiysk, showed their best side in the most difficult situations on the high seas. And then such a "oversight"?

No one still can understand how could 2 ships collide in a large bay in complete calmness and fine summer weather, if the ships were in line of sight, the crews were experienced, there was more than enough space and time for divergence.

For comparison, let's give a good example: imagine an ordinary empty stadium. There are two cars on it, which for some reason collided. Although there was plenty of room for the most difficult maneuvers.

Actions of the captain of the dry-cargo ship "Petr Vasev" in the last few minutes before the collision, they still seem more than strange: he calmly continued to drive the dry cargo ship according to instruments, despite the insistent requests of his assistant to look out the window, where the approaching lights of a huge liner flickered.

Why did an experienced sailor trust only the readings of the instruments, which this time erroneously indicated a successful divergence with the liner? When the captain woke up from a sudden "oblivion", he realized that it was impossible to prevent the shipwreck. "Reverse gear" was urgently given. But by inertia, the ship continued to move closer to the "Nakhimov".

NS about one of the versions, the instruments of the dry cargo ship showed a certain third ship in the water area of the Tsemesskaya Bay. But why is nothing known about him? And why did smart electronics not recognize such a huge liner as the Admiral Nakhimov?

From the received damage, the passenger liner sank in a matter of seconds. More than 400 people went under the water, drawn in by a huge crater. The bodies of 60 people have not been found so far.

It is noteworthy that the oddities with the ship continued to occur after the crash. During the search work on board the "Nakhimov", two experienced divers were once killed.

They didn't seem to have enough air. People who visited the "Russian Titanic" noted a sudden feeling of panic and horror that arose at a depth of more than 40 meters.

After a series of strange incidents and coincidences, it was decided to stop the search work, and cover the hull itself with a special rubber cover. The masts were cut down, the pipes were removed.

So the steamer "Admiral Nakhimov" still lies in the Tsemesskaya Bay at a depth of 47 meters. The vessel does not pose any navigational or environmental hazard.

In addition, at present, not a single project of its lifting has been developed. And the area with a radius of 500 meters, which is the site of the sinking of the motor ship "Admiral Nakhimov", is considered the official burial place of the victims of the disaster.

In this area, diving by divers and underwater vehicles, anchoring, and in general any actions that disturb the peace of the burial site are prohibited.

WITHAmong the most frequent versions of the ship's death, they call it the curse of Nakhimov.

Once, Admiral PS Nakhimov, defending Sevastopol, ordered the ships to be flooded in order to prevent enemy ships from reaching the harbor. The city was then defended, but since then the ships, named after the brave and enterprising admiral, inevitably suffer shipwrecks and sink.

According to another version, the shipwreck was affected by the earthquake, which at the time of the wreck occurred in the Black Sea, but hundreds of miles from Novorossiysk. Its powerful electromagnetic radiation from the earthquake influenced the actions of the captains of both ships.

Natural anomaly changes the time and psyche of people

In addition to the sometimes mysterious, causeless shipwrecks, Tsemesskaya Bay became famous for its ability to change the time and character of people living nearby.

The sailors testify that more than once in the center of the bay the clocks stopped at once for the crew of the ships plowing its expanses. Electrical appliances were out of order. But, as a rule, after an indefinite time, the time returned again in the usual sense, only now the clock had to be brought to the desired mark.

In the 2000s, residents of Novorossiysk began to talk more than once about strange coincidences - on some days strange and terrible road accidents occurred in the vicinity of the city, in which people died. In the city, especially sensitive people, "went crazy" and maimed themselves and those who were around.

Among the descriptions of the oddities, there is the following: two Novorossiys were driving in a car and admired the clean surface of the Tsemesskaya Bay. Suddenly, huge circles appeared on the surface of the sea - as if someone invisible from above had dropped something into the sea.

Moreover, according to friends, the water seemed to rotate clockwise and threatened to turn into a funnel. This vision lasted for several minutes, after which it also suddenly disappeared.

At the end of the 2000s, in the Tsemesskaya Bay, work was carried out to examine the deep-water outlets of collectors from the treatment facilities. Experienced divers worked at a depth of 40-45 meters.

One of these days during the next dive, one of the experienced divers was about to float to the surface when the air supply was running low. And suddenly he realized with horror that he could not do this. Something seemed to be pulling him into the depths. Panic and horror came.

The man began to move desperately, making attempts to rise to the surface and eventually surfaced. But at the same time, he almost lost consciousness from the shock experienced. More in a terrible place, for obvious reasons, he did not return.

Around the same years, a strange incident occurred in the Novorossiysk port.- during loading and unloading operations, 4 workers suddenly felt bad with their hearts. All of them were immediately taken to the intensive care unit of the local hospital. But they still failed to save one of the men.

Scientists and paranormal researchers argue that magnetic anomalies are the cause of these and many other similar cases.

In their opinion, the effect of these anomalies is variable and depends on several factors. First of all, all of them are usually associated with the presence of large "reserves" of iron or ore in the anomalous zone (which is abundant at the bottom of the Tsemesskaya Bay). In addition, the unexplained phenomena are also influenced by the electromagnetic release associated with the movement of magma, which occurred near the surface of the earth.

And yet, there are still skeptics for whom the above-described phenomena and incidents are not an indicator of the anomalousness of the Tsemesskaya Bay. In their opinion, the high frequency of tragic cases is justified by the fact that there is the most intensive shipping in the Black Sea.

Who is right and who is not, we cannot reliably say. Only one thing is clear - as long as ships continue to sink in the Tsemesskaya Bay, people die - the notoriety of the Russian "Bermuda Triangle" will not go away. This means that for many years to come, Novorossiysk and its environs will receive close attention of researchers, divers and just history lovers who are trying to get to the bottom of the truth of the "mystery of the" damn "bay".
