There is a belief that if children swim in this lake every year, they will never get sick. It is this legend that is the reason for the experiment, and therefore it makes sense to come here at least once.

  7. Big Sunukul- the lake, which is called "feast for the eyes". The place is unusual, almost magical. There are a lot of different trees here that do not create repeated sound. It is easy to fashion here to hide from the sun, relax on the beach.

Good day friends!

I was thinking: "Something a little on the pages of my blog, I pay attention to travel to my small homeland - the South Urals." This shortcoming must be urgently corrected! After all, we have many very beautiful places here - these are the famous Ural Mountains, caves, reserves and, of course, numerous lakes. The South Ural is a land of lakes! We have 3178 of them! Big and small, deep and not so much. All of them are beautiful in their own way, but some of them are certainly worth mentioning separately.

Where to rest in the South Urals, if we consider, first of all, rest on the lake? In this article I want to compile my rating of the best lakes in the Southern Urals and tell you about the most beautiful lakes in the Chelyabinsk region. This TOP 10 is my selection. That is, these are, first of all, those lakes that I consider the best in our area and I definitely advise all guests of the South Urals to visit there. Someone with such a selection may not agree. Well, then you can express your point of view in the comments, it is always welcome! In the meantime, I present to your attention the most beautiful lakes of the Southern Urals. TOP 10!

1. UVILDES.

Uvildy is the pearl of the South Urals! The most famous, popular and perhaps the best lake in the South Urals!

Located near the city of Kyshtym, 80 km. from Chelyabinsk. It has an area of 7111 hectares, the average depth is 14 meters, and the greatest depth is 39 meters! Uvildy has always very clear clear water, so this lake has always been a favorite place for beach holidays, fishing and spearfishing. True, the water in the lake always warms up rather slowly due to the considerable depth and cold underwater springs. The coastline of the lake is covered with beautiful pine forests. There are sandy beaches, which, as a rule, belong to recreation centers.

Now Uvildy is very heavily built up with cottage villages and recreation centers of different price categories (mostly quite expensive at local prices!). However, despite the strong development, there is practically no litter on the coast and in the coastal forest. The cleanliness of the coastline is well monitored! There are practically no places for free camping.
I happened to be on Uvildy several times at various recreation centers.

2. TURGOYAK.

The most beautiful lake, which is located near the city of Miass. From Chelyabinsk it is a little more than 100 kilometers if you go along the M5 Chelyabinsk-Moscow highway.

Turgoyak is a natural monument, a very clean and deep enough lake! The transparency of the water reaches 17 meters! In terms of water transparency, Turgoyak ranks second among all lakes in Russia! The average depth is about 19 meters, and the largest is 34 meters.

Needless to say, due to its beauty and purity, Lake Turgoyak has always been a very popular place among tourists. There have always been many recreation centers, which are becoming more and more. Also, the coastline is built up with cottages. It is almost impossible to find a place for a “savage” rest. I would even say that there are no such people left, except perhaps for small areas with steep banks, where it will not be possible to get close to the water.

Walk on Lake Turgoyak:

3. ELANCHIK.

Elanchik is one of my favorite lakes in the South Urals! I have been here more than a dozen times, lived in a tent near the lake or rested at various recreation centers. More recently, for example, for a couple of days I got out with my family to Elanchik, about which I wrote a review in one of my previous articles.

The lake is located 90 kilometers from Chelyabinsk, next to the M5 highway. From Miass and from Chebarkul to Elanchik drive about 10 kilometers.

Elanchik is a shallow lake, the average depth is about 4 meters, the maximum is 8 meters. On the northern side of the lake (from the M5 highway), pine forests are close to the lake, and on the southern side (from the village of Sarafanovo) there are quite large areas with practically no trees. In this place there is a rather popular "wild beach", where so many vacationers come in summer that there is simply nowhere for an apple to fall!

I like the northern part of the lake better. Of course, there are also a lot of tourists there during the "season", but still less than from the south side. Simply because it is much more difficult to get here by car. Some simply do not risk going here, and walking through the forest is difficult, and you can't leave your car on the highway.

Unfortunately, in places of "wild" rest of tourists along the coast, there is a lot of garbage. Here, no one cleans it on purpose and the tourists themselves, unfortunately, litter more and more.

In the last 7-8 years, the coastline of the lake began to be built up with cottage settlements. Accordingly, there are fewer places for camping, but still, unlike the same Uvildov and Turgayak, you can still find many places on Elanchik where you can stay in a tent. For example, great.

4. ZYURATKUL.

The stunningly beautiful lake Zyuratkul is the highest mountain lake in the Southern Urals. It is located at an altitude of 724 meters above sea level! It has a maximum depth of 12 meters and an average depth of 4 meters. The lake is located in the Satkinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region, 208 kilometers from Chelyabinsk here.

The water in Zyuratkul is very clean. The lake is surrounded by stunningly beautiful nature: mountain ranges and coniferous forests. Lake Zyuratkul is considered a natural monument, it is surrounded by it - this is one of the most visited places by tourists in the Southern Urals.

5. LARGE KISEGACH.

A very popular tourist lake Bolshoy Kisegach, which is often called simply Kisegach. It is located not far from Lake Chebarkul and the city of the same name (about 5 km.). Accordingly, it is about 75-85 kilometers from Chelyabinsk, depending on which side to get there from.

The average depth in the lake is 12 meters, the maximum is 33 meters. Very good water clarity - about 10 meters. The water temperature in the lake is very different depending on the depth, the difference can be up to 12-14 degrees!

It has a very beautiful coastal area covered with pine and birch forests. There are a lot of recreation centers and sanatoriums on the lake, there is where to stay with a tent.

6. ARGAZI.

The Argazinskoye reservoir is the largest reservoir in the Chelyabinsk region. Its area is about 113 sq. kilometers, the average depth is 12 meters, and the greatest is 18 meters. The transparency of the water is about 3 meters. It is located about 80 kilometers from Chelyabinsk.

When the reservoir was created in the 40s of the last century, when it was flooded, Lake Argazi entered it, therefore this reservoir is still called simply Argazi.

Due to fluctuations in the water level in the reservoir, its level is not constant and therefore the coastline is constantly changing. For example, now Argazi is very shallow, but it still remains the largest reservoir of the region.

Due to its size and extensive coastline, there is always where to stay with tents, there are several paid equipped beaches, recreation centers, and more and more cottages are being built at the very edge of the water.

Argazi are surrounded by birch and pine forests, where there have always been a lot of mushrooms. Although I am not an avid mushroom picker, when I still decide to go out on a "quiet hunt", I will certainly go in the direction of the Argazinsky reservoir. You definitely can't leave here without mushrooms! Here is a post about one of my trips:.

7. CHEBARKUL.

Due to the event that occurred on February 15, 2013, Lake Chebarkul became known to the whole world. Now here you can often meet tourists from all over Russia and from many other countries. I'm talking about the famous Chelyabinsk meteorite, which exploded on the morning of February 15 over Chelyabinsk and fell into Lake Chebarkul, which is 80 km away. from the city of Chelyabinsk. On the eastern shore of the lake is the city of the same name Chebarkul.

Chebarkul is not a deep lake. The average depth is only 2.3 meters, the maximum is 12 meters.

Even before the meteorite fell, Lake Chebarkul was very popular among tourists, of course, mainly among locals. Not to say that the lake has some special unique beauty. However, the development of the local tourist infrastructure, a large number of various recreation centers and sanatoriums with different price categories and the availability of the lake for camping make it one of the most popular lakes in the Chelyabinsk region. Now the meteorite also adds popularity.

8. SPIRIT.

This small lake is located just 1.5 kilometers from Lake Chebarkul. The average depth is 8 meters, the largest is 13.5 meters.

Spruce was declared a natural monument 46 years ago. It is difficult to convey in words the natural beauty of the lake and its coastal pine-birch and linden forests. Despite the small size of the lake, there are a lot of recreation centers and cottage villages along the entire coastline. You can find places for camping too.

9. CALDS.

Lake Kaldy is not very beautiful. It is not surrounded by pine forests and mountains, nor is it distinguished by the ideal purity of the water. But in my list of the best lakes in the Southern Urals, Kaldy can take its rightful place.

The thing is that this lake has a very convenient coastline for swimming, it is good to stop here with tents. There are several sandy beaches. In addition, there has always been good fishing and crayfish in Caldy. That is, in this way we can say that Kaldy combines all the advantages of a good summer vacation by the lake.

Kaldy is a flat lake. Accordingly, it has a shallow depth, on average it is 3 meters, and the maximum is 7 meters. From Chelyabinsk to Lake Kaldy you have to go towards the city of Yekaterinburg, the distance is about 55 kilometers.

There are a lot of recreation centers of very different price categories along the entire coastline of the lake. For example, at some bases you can live for 500-600 rubles for a summer 2-bed house without amenities, or you can rent a luxury cottage for 30,000-40,000 rubles per day of stay!

Such crayfish are found in Lake Kaldy:

10. SMALL MIASS.

The very beautiful lake Maloye Miassovoye is located about 62 kilometers from the city of Chelyabinsk. It is connected by a small strait with Lake Bolshoye Miassovoye, but Maloye Miassovoye, despite its name, is larger in size. The maximum depth reaches 7.5 meters, the water is very clean and transparent (transparency is about 7 meters).

Maloye Miassovoye can be included in the best lakes of the Southern Urals primarily due to its natural beauty, which has not yet suffered so much at the hands of man, as, for example, the nature of Lake Turgoyak or Uvilda. Surprisingly, there are practically no cottages and very few recreation centers on the banks of Maly Miassovoye. Accordingly, there are many places where you can stay with a tent.

There are several islands on the lake. The most popular is "Love Island". Couples in love from the student recreation center "Parus" love to sail on it, where during my student days I loved to relax during the summer holidays. True, sometimes this island is occupied by vacationing "wild" tourists, who live there in tents for several weeks and fish.

Inhabitants of Lake Maloe Miassovoe:

This is how I got a rating of the best lakes in the South Urals. Again, this is not some generally accepted list of the most beautiful lakes. This is purely my selection, in which I told you about those lakes that I like more than others for one reason or another.

Of course, I have not been to all 3178 lakes of the Chelyabinsk region, so I will not be able to compare them all, and I did not try to do this. The main goal was to show you the beauty of the South Urals, the beauty of its many lakes! So come to us in the Southern Urals, let's go to the lake for fishing or barbecue with a tent!

All right, bye everyone! And don't forget to subscribe to blog updates so you don't miss out on new interesting articles!

The Chelyabinsk region is the land of lakes and reservoirs: their number exceeds 3200. The largest lakes are Uvildy, Kisegach, Turgoyak and Elovoe. Reservoirs are also referred to as large reservoirs.

Careers in Chelyabinsk

Emerald and Blue

Within the city, in the AMZ area, there are 2 picturesque quarries - Goluboy and Emerald, which are popular with the urban population. They are close to each other. They justify their names, as the water in the Blue Quarry is sky-colored, but swimming here is not very convenient and safe, since there are large blocks at the bottom and the depth of the water column is uneven. It is especially dangerous to take a running jump into this quarry.

The Emerald Quarry is more popular than the Blue Quarry. The water here has always been the purest, but recently the quarry has been overgrown with reeds and duckweed. It is not so easy to get to these quarries: from the Mebelnaya Fabrika transport stop you will have to walk about 2 kilometers on foot through the hills and the cemetery. But the view of the quarries and the surrounding nature is simply gorgeous, so overcoming the obstacles is worth it!

The most popular lakes in the Chelyabinsk region

Zyuratkul

The Zyuratkul National Park, which is located near the town of Satka, Chelyabinsk Region, occupies the very first place in beauty in our region. The beauty of the landscapes and Lake Zyuratkul is closely intertwined with monuments to various fairy-tale heroes. Near Zyuratkul there is a park with real pirate ships and a nursery with deer and huskies. The prak is open to the public all year round. A visit will cost about 1000 rubles (includes 14 hours of excursion, round trip transportation, medical insurance).

Argazi

On the western side of the Argayashsky region, there is one of the largest reservoirs of the Chelyabinsk region - the Argazinskoye reservoir. This reservoir is especially popular with fishing enthusiasts - they never come home empty. In addition, the reservoir is very picturesque: no matter which side you come from, beauty will be everywhere. The lake is famous for its crystal clear cold water. There are also 45 islands in the entire area of the Argazinsky reservoir.

Spruce

In the city of Chebarkul there is a very beautiful Lake Elovoe, on which many recreation centers, children's pioneer camps and sanatoriums have grown. The most popular holiday destinations are: the Elovoe sanatorium, the Uralskiye Zori recreation center and the Lesnaya Skazka children's camp. The water in the lake is crystal clear: you can see the bottom and fish, and vacationers often see otters that live only in clean water bodies.

Turgoyak

Turgoyak is considered the coldest lake in the Southern Urals: the water warms up here only in mid-July, and only in very hot weather. But here is the cleanest air and excellent hardening! There are many recreation centers on the shore.

Uvildy

One of the largest lakes in the Southern Urals, located in the north of the Chelyabinsk region, its area is dotted with many islands. In outline, Lake Uvildy resembles a pear, has a rocky bottom. In summer, water warms up rather slowly due to the presence of underground springs; it belongs to the category of the most valuable water bodies in the world in terms of purity and oxygen saturation.

Smolino

Located in the southeast of Chelyabinsk and surrounded by residential areas (Leninsky district of Chelyabinsk, the village of Smolino), health resorts and gardens. In recent years, the volume of the lake's waters has increased significantly - this is due both to the forces of nature and to man-made impacts - the lake is replenished with city runoff. Once the lake was very salty and there were no fish in it at all, recent measurements showed that now the water in it belongs to slightly salted.

Arakul

It is located in the northern part of the Chelyabinsk region, not far from the city of Vishnevogorsk. Formed as a result of erosion and tectonic processes. Has a winding coastline of backwaters. The coastline is winding, forming several backwaters. The shores are sandy in places with a muddy bottom, and in places rocky with high shores. The main replenishment of the lake is due to underground sources.

Kaldy

Lake Kaldy is located in the Kunashak district of the Chelyabinsk region, it has a relatively shallow depth - the maximum mark is 7-8 meters. The shores and bottom of the lake are sandy, the water is slightly salty. Many recreation centers have chosen these picturesque shores.

Kisegach

Kisegach consists of several lakes. The largest and most famous of them is Bolshoi Kisegach, located in the Chebarkul region. Refers to nature conservation monuments. The water in the lake is very clean: you can see the bottom of the lake at a depth of 12 meters. There are 12 islands scattered all over the lake, which were chosen by seagulls and ducks. The shores of the lake are mostly rocky, in the western part it is adjacent to the Ilmensky nature reserve.

Chebarkul

Lake Chebarkul is located near the city of Chebarkul. The greatest depth is 14 meters, the transparency of the water is about 3 meters deep, the bottom is muddy, sometimes with small pebbles. The banks are mostly gentle. There are several islands on the territory of the reservoir. The lake is also a fishing base.

From the point of view of fishing, the lakes of the Chelyabinsk region are of great interest. This region of the Southern Urals has 3748 lakes, most of the names of which are borrowed from the Bashkir and Tatar languages. Most of the lakes belong to small and medium-sized water bodies, but the list of large ones with a water surface area of more than 20 square kilometers includes 13 lakes. One of the largest lakes in the Chelyabinsk region, Arakul, is famous for its purest clear water, in which ruff, tench, yellow crucian carp, burbot, and Chud whitefish are found, but the main fish are roach, perch, pike.

The largest lake in the region - Uvildy - is located at the foot of the Ural Mountains and has a bizarre shape with quiet backwaters and bays. For the blue tint of the water, it is called the pearl of the Urals. Fishing on the lake will be a lot of fun thanks to the large number of very different fish, and there are many recreation centers on the shore where fishermen can comfortably settle down.
