In the room, the ants were a little annoying and you couldn't get rid of them thoroughly. I'm a grouch! Room cleaning depends on the cleaner. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. Service in the spa for 4 out of 5. Everything should be ready for the arrival of the guest, and their locker is not assembled with the necessary things, slippers are not prepared, the key and bathrobe were not brought immediately, the steam sauna is not included. The administrator is an unpleasant woman. I tried massage from three different masters. All are good. Restaurants have a problem with making baby puree to order. We had to wait at least 40 minutes! That is, we have already eaten, and the child is yelling hungry and waiting for food. Although mashed potatoes do 20 minutes maximum. Sometimes waiters and even administrators forgot to order food for a child and even had to swear a couple of times. This is probably the biggest drawback, since we were constantly nervous about this.
We went to the Maldives for the 5th time (only 5 stars), there is something to compare. Our vacation lasted 3 weeks with a child 1g3months, Villa 33 on the sand) For the first time we chose a children's hotel and for the first time flew on a seaplane with a child. The seaplane is noisy but bearable. Earplugs were not inserted either to themselves or to the child. Everything is fine and the view from the window is super. I thought these 3 weeks would be forever, as in the Maldives it is usually boring and boring quickly. But this is not about this hotel! First, there are a lot of restaurants for every taste. Excellent breakfasts and dinners. There is a children's table. They can also make baby purees to order (such as broccoli or zucchini). Secondly, a beautiful large well-groomed area. From one end of the island to the other, about 30-40 minutes walk. This is very decent for the Maldives. If you are too lazy to walk, you can take a bike (each villa has its own). Also give a bike with a child seat, which is very comfortable. Thirdly, excellent location Villa 33.5 meters to the water, the view is gorgeous. And in my opinion, we had the most best beach and entering the water. There are many broken dead corals on all beaches, but we have cleared a path for ourselves near the villa. Fourthly, there is a kids club where you can bring children to play or leave them for a while under the supervision of nannies. There are games both inside and outside on the street. There is even a whole schedule of games and activities for different ages. We also took a nanny for 3-4 hours a day to help us with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nanny Richie did a great job with our baby. Thanks! I would especially like to note the work of our butler Halima. She was sensitive and attentive to all our requests. Special thanks to her! And all of its, without exaggeration, luxurious villas are located either on the water or on beach line with direct access to the azure sea!
Looking ahead, I will say that the rest in Niyama met all expectations, only 3 days in such a place, of course, is very little, I really didn't want to leave!

1. The road to Niyama itself is a whole adventure !! You can get here from international airport by seaplane, 1 hour on the way. The flight itself is something! By the way, in the Maldives there is even such an excursion as a seaplane flight, but here it is just a type of transfer to the hotel 🙂

We lived in the simplest, but at the same time, the most popular category of rooms among Russian tourists - a studio villa on the beach (Beach Studio), with direct access to the beach overlooking the sunrise.

The villa has a stunning Balinese-style bathroom with an open-air rain shower and a bath for two in addition to an indoor shower and bathtub for two!
They didn’t forget about our baby, they put not only a crib for him, but brought a small bathtub, a baby towel, changing accessories, a set of baby cosmetics, tiny slippers and molds for playing in the sand.

Restaurants in Niyama are very different, and this is a godsend for a gourmet, of course, you want to visit each, especially since each restaurant has its own feature, its own concept, and the hotel has 9 restaurants in total!
BLU - here you can taste Mediterranean cuisine,
it is a very pleasant place for lunch and breakfast by the pool overlooking the sea.
Breakfasts are held here in a very relaxed atmosphere; couples without children prefer to come here.
One of the features is a sandy floor, to come here barefoot is a real pleasure, which we actually did with great pleasure during lunch!
Food can also be served on the outdoor terrace

EPICURE - international cuisine by the infinity pool,
here we went for the breakfast buffet.
The choice is excellent - freshly squeezed juices and blue cheeses, many variations of hot dishes and various cold snacks, pastries, fresh fruit and my favorite "superfood" section.

FAHRENHEIT - a bar with a luxurious terrace on the floor above EPICURE, it works mainly late in the evening and at night - there is live music and an amazing view of Indian Ocean! Once a week, the hotel management hosts a party with free cocktails, where it invites all guests of the resort to join and "hang out" together in an informal atmosphere.
DUNE is a pleasant beach cafe by the same pool as EPICURE. During the day in the shade it is nice to have a snack here, and in the evening to sit with a cocktail, admiring the ocean.
EDGE - haute cuisine right in the middle of the ocean, this is an exclusive restaurant half a kilometer from the coast, reachable only by boat.
NEST - Asian cuisine with tables, both in the garden under the crowns of giant trees, and directly on them, at a height of 6 m above the ground, as if in nests between the branches of a tropical forest.
The restaurant serves both Chinese and Thai and Indonesian cuisine. We had dinner at the teppanyaki table, the chef was preparing everything right in front of us.
So it wasn't just dinner, but a whole cooking show! Lobster was just lick your fingers!
DELI is a small cafe corner with a wide variety of delicious quick snacks and barista cocktails.
TRIBAL is a signature restaurant, a Niyama chip, the only restaurant in the Maldives with African cuisine, central and south America, all dishes are prepared in a haute cuisine style.
At the entrance, visitors are greeted by Maasai warriors, all the paraphernalia and decorations came directly from these countries, the chefs, by the way, are also from there.
We even dined here twice, the menu is quite interesting, striking in variety, the atmosphere is very warm - pleasant music, sounds of the jungle and gentle breeze from the ocean, because the restaurant's space is half-open.
SUBSIX is perhaps the most unusual and memorable restaurant in the Maldives, even people come here specially from other hotels! Not even so much to enjoy the cuisine, although it is especially good here, there are only 2 sets to choose from on the menu (meat and fish with seafood).
People come here for new sensations, in order to dive to a depth of 6 m and enjoy the underwater world right at the table, having lunch or dinner!
Waiting for the order did not tire at all, and the time flew by while looking at the fish, Tyomik also liked the underwater kingdom. When we had lunch here, the water, alas, was not transparent, but they say that with good visibility you can see moray eels and flocks of butterfly fish, as well as see a sea turtle and a parrot fish.
The restaurant is located on the same platform as EDGE, so to get to it from the hotel, you also need to take a boat first and then go down to the bunker a couple of floors down,
and be right inside the ocean in the midst of all this beauty! By the way, a couple of times a week SUBSIX restaurant turns into night club with light music, DJ, and all this fun takes place against the backdrop of a sea reef!
And in Niyama, you can order a "culinary excursion" (off-site dinner), and here everything will be up to your taste and choice - a barbecue in your own garden, or a romantic dinner on the shore of a desert island or a gastronomic trip on an unusual doni boat, in general, whatever you want!
Entertainment
In the evening or in bad weather, you can while away the time in the game rooms, there is table tennis, billiards, darts, golf, table football, rooms with simulators and Xbox game consoles, or you can usefully spend time in the fitness room, which, by the way, works around the clock.
There is also a quiet space where you can read a book, watch a DVD or surf the Internet with a cup of tea or coffee.

A couple of years ago, I had the idea to somehow find myself again on these islands.
Last fall, all of a sudden, such happiness fell on me in the form of an invitation to spend 4 days at Niyama per aquum ... And then everything suddenly began to hinder the realization of such a fantastic weekend, even for me. Then there are problems at work, and whoever does not have them now, a serious fall a little more than a week ago - I wrote - hitting my neck against a concrete curb. But still the desire was so great that in the end everything worked out.
Miracles started right from the flight - I got a row of 4 vacant seats. So all my fears about the hardships of the flight were in vain.
The wait for the next flight by seaplane took no more than an hour. Although sometimes it happens that passengers wait for three and four hours. We flew beautifully and gently boarded the water. What I saw amazed so much that for the first half hour I talked with exclamation marks and interjections))) Yes, I previously lived in a very good hotels, yes, I have repeatedly been to various islands, yes, I know that there is even better and cooler ... But today it is a dream come true))) or my dreams are "shallow"))
Our "space", if you believe the description is 190 sq. M. The bathroom is the size of a small "kopeck piece". In fact, in addition to the bathroom itself, there are two showers in the garden and a traditional one, and of course all sorts of other necessary elements))) through the windows of my bedroom you can see the ocean, but between the ocean and the bedroom there is a pool. Around the pool there is a large round bed, a dining table and a swing bed and, of course, your own private sun loungers.
The living room, which we turned into a second bedroom, offers the same wonderful view. Even for me it is unexpected that there is not only a coffee machine in the room, but also a machine for making popcorn.
Every day they promise to put fresh ice cream in the freezer, which is prepared here. Of course, we have all sorts of bathrobes, slippers ... Only 2 types of bathrobes for each and 2 types of slippers. Girls will appreciate cometics - for the first time I see that both Bulgari and L Occitan and an even less well-known brand of SPA cosmetics were put into the room at the same time.
Our stay included full board, that is, 3 meals a day. I can say that the bouillabaisse was so delightful that in the evening they could not deny themselves the soup, that yam was just good against him. We try very hard to be discreet in our food, so we didn't even order what we were entitled to.
On the first evening, we even managed to enter the ocean and have some fun, as it gets dark here early. The subsequent walk around the island took an hour and a half - here's a "point in the ocean".
We saw a moray eel swimming right by the coast and a lot of crabs and lizards ... A large bird flew by, which, upon examination, turned out to be a bat ...
There are quite a few Russians in the hotel. Here and there we hear our own speech. These are people who came with families - yes, yes - not long-legged beauties with "daddies", not newlyweds, not wealthy mature couples, but families and even a company with children. Still, there are still people in our country who do not know the word "expensive".
I really want such people to become more - those who need not money, but IDEAS))) well, with ideas, we will help))) well, you know where to go))

Arrival at the hotel: There is a lounge at the airport - but very small. You can still wait an hour for the seaplane ... There are soft drinks, but no coffee and tea ... There are biscuits in large glass jars ... The most pleasant thing while waiting is the availability of free Wi-Fi - a password is given upon arrival
Staff deliver luggage to the seaplane separately from passengers. Passengers are taken by minibuses - each company separately - there were 10 of us flying - three minibuses were brought in - we were traveling together in a separate minibus
The seats in the seaplane along the way are written in the boarding pass - but back they take seats wherever they like. On the plane, each seat has a bottle of water and earplugs ... I recommend that you stay away from your scarf or shawl - if you are sitting in front, the fan blows directly into your head. A regular fan attached to the wall ...
On the plane, almost everyone was asleep - and I stared and took pictures. From the experience of the last visit - the photos in May are brighter than in January ... although we are almost at the equator and the sun should shine just as brightly ... or am I wrong?
Upon arrival, the staff line up and greet the guests - not the entire staff - but the butlers led by the manager. We were loaded into a buggy and taken to the room, where the check in took place ... The passport was photographed on the phone and we signed the completed registration sheet

In the main part of the review, I described the "stuffing of the room". Here I want to add that we cleaned twice a day and changed towels and replenished cosmetics. Not the whole assortment of course ... but in sufficient quantity ... In the morning a housekeeper comes and covers the sun loungers on the terrace ... in the afternoon they clean the room - we practically did not intersect ... but in the evening they come to prepare for bed as it gets dark - about 19 hours - always asked to postpone to 8. as at that time we had dinner (the time difference is 2 hours plus to Moscow)
Tea and coffee (capsules) were replenished every time, but ice cream, as it was upon arrival, 4 cups were never replenished .. although we did not ask and one cup stood in the freezer until the last evening)))
Somehow they twisted the dogs out of towels for us - I don't really like the "inappropriate" use of things))) But apparently the housekeeper expressed his gratitude for the tip)))
Hotel grounds: Sandy paths divide the "jungle" ... or we are latent blondes, but we managed to get lost several times. Either we couldn’t find the spice garden, then Ira left by bike ... and disappeared))) There are signs, but we still have to reach them ... The first time we were saved by another Russian-speaking employee who was passing by on a bicycle .. The second time I stood and waited ... until Ira arrived with a tire that had fallen off the rim))) And the third time in the evening we went to express our gratitude for the free massage in the SPA ... and again got lost))) Apparently on the island so many staff, including in order to catch the lost))
There are no living creatures on the territory, except for bats ... and mosquitoes ... Every day at 17 o'clock Rambo walks around the territory, everything is in smoke ... but the mosquitoes nevertheless found me on the last morning and broke off on me for all the past three days...
The beaches are good almost along the entire island, but there is no fish near the coast ... so much so that it’s as if it’s not the Indian Ocean or the Maldives. On a good snokling they take a boat, whoever is bolder and swims better - swims away with a mask ... But there is no reef nearby ... Despite the same whiteness and "grinding" of the sand, the beaches on the side of the water villas are whiter and "sandier". .. You can swim on any, but there will be sun beds either for each villa or for the pools - one on each island. There are also towels ... but of course no one will come running to you with a towel if you decide to swim in another place - not near your villa or by the pool.
At the eastern end of the island (opposite the bridge connecting the 2 islands) there is a strong current and it is dangerous to swim - there are warning signs about this ... There are no rescuers - but if you suddenly become a witness of "carried away" by the wave and wind, then there is a telephone nearby - you can inform the reception ... In the northern part of the same island there are small mangroves - well, suddenly you have never seen - but here they are.
In the mini - jungle - here and there sofas, round beds, pillows are hiding ... so that tired travelers can arrange a halt. about a tired traveler - no joke)) - if you go around two islands around the perimeter, you get about 5 km ... For a resident of a metropolis, this is a distance!
Throughout the territory you can move around by bike or buggy. I enjoy walking - but other guests enjoy transportation.
Spice garden.
I already wrote above about how we got lost in search of a kindergarten. This is a small garden in which there is a small pond with fish, peppers and eggplants grow in bloom and bear fruit, there is a small sugar cane plantation, several orchids ... There are all kinds of mechanisms for pressing butter, mortars ... and some other incomprehensible devices .. So far, there are no inscriptions with the names of plants, no master - classes on push-ups, crushing, extraction ... But I hope they will appear in the foreseeable future.

The hotel recently opened its own underwater restaurant. But honestly - I was expecting something more .. The feeling that you are sitting in a bunker with windows - aquariums, and not a window into the ocean ... But going down the stairs to the bunker is much more interesting - the ocean beats into the walls of the bunker ... brings all sorts of thoughts about that, then suddenly somewhere the shovchik will disperse or the rivet will fly off)))
There is also a surface restaurant in the ocean. A very interesting serving of dishes, perhaps this is how molecular cuisine looks like ... Mascarpone with biscuit and caviar, all this is whipped into mousse ... My fish also arrived all in foam ... Everything is very tasty. Although everything looks "Russian size" - there is nothing to eat, but suddenly you realize that you could not eat anymore ...
In the evening, a luminous tent is a bar in the ocean - and it asks to arrange a fun party there - but no ... everyone is decorously sipping weak and strong alcoholic cocktails. Maybe right? The bridges and pontoons do not have a single fence ... how children do not pour in clusters there is a mystery)))
There is a bar, a DJ and of course music, once there is a DJ, there is also on the shore - but no one dances there either ... although the bar is right on the beach ... But why no one? - I danced ... on the sand and under the huge stars)))
The BLU restaurant is the one that serves buybes ... Only for that one could love it)) But also because you can dine there until 6 pm.
Afrikano - Brazilian restaurant is distinguished not so much by interiors as by waiters from Central Africa. We met a masai mummer there, and the waitress was a girl from Kenya .. we chatted with her about Mombasa and TsAVO East - well, I knew what I was and where I was - we chatted about that))
The main restaurant by the pool - thanks for the pits ... and the dessert that Irina was impressed with - with merengue, passion fruit ... Well, for breakfast ... finally, I got to normal cheese)))
About alcohol.
It is known that it is impossible to bring alcohol to the Maldives .. although it’s how they inspected it at the exit ...))) The prices for alcohol in the hotel are cosmic ... 60-70 dollars for a half-liter bottle of whiskey in the mini bar ... and prices - I will not write from (to be impressed) ... there are up to $ 8000 ...
Cocktails 15-18 dollars + 22% tax ... By the way, cocktails are very simple in design, and in execution ...
The tree restaurant is another highlight of the hotel. Specializes in Asian cuisine. It looks very exotic. It is in this restaurant that you can try to compose the seasoning for the dish yourself under the guidance of the chef. There are teppanyaki. About children.
Children's paradise - namely, not just the club is located so that we ourselves would hardly go to it)) This is another mystery of the resort - where do they hide everything?))
Two rooms - for small and for large children, with play areas, game consoles, a bedroom for the little ones. Outdoor playground, large trampoline, area with fountains, mini climbing wall. Stage for performances and fashion shows ... The club is free until 6 pm. If necessary, a nanny can sit with the child later for $ 20 an hour. Programs for children are scheduled in such a way that I was already ready to stay at the children's club for at least half a day. And children can also be fed a free lunch while parents, for example, are diving ... well, or just decided to take a break from their child))
The shops. They are - from magnets, slippers, pareos and souvenirs to jewelry. There is a shop on each island. Prices for "rags" are island. We compared the beach dress that Ira bought in Greece - here almost one to one was 10 times more expensive ... so try not to forget your dresses and swimwear at home)))

A heavenly place in the Maldives))) Having gathered in one day (in the morning we decided to fly away in the evening), we ended up in a very beautiful and picturesque place, while not expecting anything special, with the sole purpose of getting warm.
It takes a little over an hour to get from Male Airport, but don't be afraid)
The hotel consists of two islands: one is for couples with children, the other is a party island, which is not often found in the Maldives. In the evening, a performance by a musical group (this time from Belarus) and Russian DJ Lena in the bar))) Cocktails, hookah are also available. The bar is open until the last client.
There are 6 restaurants on the island, three of them are unique: Nest - Asian, located on a tree, African with various exotic types of meat. The most interesting gourmet restaurant is underwater. Unfortunately, we didn't get there, we need to book in advance.
Rooms, as usual in the form of beach houses, are with pool and water villas. There are five very large villas that they are very proud of. The villa has huge fridges with drinks, chocolates, fruits, a coffee machine and even a popcorn machine!
There are sea and water activities, there are seabobs and jet skis, but there is no own reef for swimming with masks, but there are many beaches with good entry into the water! There is a tennis court and badminton court.
The spa is good, but you have to book everything in advance. High workload and great demand for the magic pens of local therapists. Sometimes unique specialists come from different countries... Need to clarify after the fact.
A unique place with nice prices. You can also relax with children, there is a Children's Club from which children do not want to leave!
In general, good vacation everyone is guaranteed, except for the large number of birds who constantly sort things out because of the bananas in the trees and shout at each other, you soon get used to it.
All the time we were taken care of by the Russian-speaking butler - Dmitry, which is also very nice!

We had a good rest, but the weather was a little unlucky, it rained for several days, it was cloudy. We used to go both in June and in september- early October, and in May-April, that is, in the real off-season, but we never got it like that. It should have been a week later ..
We met at the airport, barely had time to board the seaplane (it looks like they were waiting for us), so about 12 were there. Met the Russian-speaking butler Vlad, introduced me to the hotel and immediately drove to the villa. Further on all questions they turned to him, helped in everything.
The villa is spacious, clean, everything you need is there, they were cleaned perfectly, morning and evening, everything was constantly replenished.
I liked the location of our villa, privacy, beach, lagoon (at low tide - up to the waist, but you can flip around). Nearby people are almost invisible and inaudible.
We were not always satisfied with the food, but this is individual - the selection of desserts is small, there are not enough fruits and not all ripe, mango "from under the counter" and preferably for a fee ...
Both islands are very beautiful green. We liked our Chill more, but this is also just our impression.
