We took the Platinum number and did not regret it, because it is very close to the beach, there is a separate zone on the beach and the security makes sure that only those living in these rooms use this zone, then the security does not let traders go there and there were always free sun loungers in the shade. (by the way, loungers are more comfortable here and at a sufficient distance from each other, unlike the other part). There are also waiters on the beach (in the Platinum zone), it seems that this is unnecessary because the bar is nearby, but it's not very pleasant to queue in the heat. I do not know where the reviews about old and dirty towels come from, everything was snow-white and soft, both in the room and on the beach. Rooms are nice and clean, grounds and pools too. The cleaning is good, everything was replenished every day, as it should be. Only in the room on the 5th day it became very damp and then a fungus formed on the dress that was hanging in the closet. Maybe we are to blame, because opened the balcony and everything immediately became wet. The service does not depend on tip, we checked it out. we could change money for tips only on the third day and without them everything was fine. I would especially like to note the girl Margarita (the waiter on the beach), she is very attentive, smiling, good-natured and works sooo fast. The food is delicious, but about the same. As mentioned earlier, there is almost no seafood. The alcohol is good, and the best tequila (don julio), Hennessy cognac, maybe something else, I am writing about what I know, are available for those living in Platinum rooms. The only thing that was not very pleasant: we were given a room with two beds, and there were three of us and we asked to change to a room with a very large bed. It was hard to talk to the young man at the reception (platinum sunset), although we don't know much English, he spoke very quickly and with his Spanish accent. We were offered a room change after 4 days, but since all things were dismantled, we refused and agreed that the beds were moved to us and 1 mattress was placed. As a result, the beds were only moved, and then the tourists told us that separate beds on wheels were still provided for the children, but we were not offered. SEA: In the early days: beautiful, shallow, the buoys (height 160) on my shoulders. We knew about it and it suited us. the child learns to swim. We bought big circles for everyone and swam on the waves, they were often. My daughter conquered the waves on the board and was in full of delight... On the 5th day: a lot of algae nailed, 6-7 meters in the sea from the coast, everything was in them. The next day they began to decompose. In the reviews, I read about the smell on the beach, but I didn't think it was that strong. THE VONNA was terrible, it smelled of rotten fish. We were in the pool that day, and the next we went to Xcaret Park, from the hotel it took 40 minutes by taxi for $ 30. After 2 days the smell passed, but the water turned brown. We swam, they say it's very useful. By the way, the algae is not removed, the tractor drove several times, but for what it is not clear. And the seaweed was everywhere, the guys I knew went to Cancun, and there was seaweed. The problem with algae began in 2015, before that they were, but in a different quantity, and now how lucky (according to the guide). BEACH: very clean, white sand, but many small twigs, although they are removed. Good umbrellas, good sun loungers, many sun loungers in the shade, in the common part of the beach they occupy in the morning, but in the Platinum zone there is no, I came a couple of times by 8 o'clock , everything was free. ANIMALS: Lots of cute noses, but you have to be careful as they can snatch food when you feed them. Monkeys come to the bridge at about 9-20, but we never met them. And iguanas came across. Day 5.January 23. Princess Hotels & Resorts.The fifth day in our program began with an inspection of the Grand Riviera / Sunset Princess 5 * hotel complex, which is part of the Princess Hotels & Resorts group.

So, there is a general opinion that it is better to take platinum rooms (suites) in both hotels (but better in Sunset, since construction is underway next to the Riviera and noise is heard in the rooms facing "outside").
Platinum rooms, in addition to their club lounge (I recommend!), Have a separate VIP-zone on the beach, so there seems to be a cleaner entrance to the sea and no algae.
Besides, “platinum” is better served. And the food is also better.
Now by numbers. The hotel was packed to capacity, only one free room was hardly found, and even then, after dinner it was supposed to be occupied! In general, I was simply amazed, almost all the hotels were full, there were cases when there was not even ANY room available!
The hotel is good but there are also small problems with the rooms.Let's go to this beautiful country on a honeymoon trip. Booked in advance. The reservation was in April. Junior rooms. Then, after looking and reading the reviews, I paid extra at the agency where I took the tour and rebooked rooms for platinum. And for good reason. But more on that later. We flew on August 12 from Domodedovo at 5 am and there were already 8 am 45 minutes. The time difference is -9 hours. We were poured champagne upon arrival. And the hotel also writes that a cold towel is given upon arrival. He was absent. At this time about 10 am it was about 35 degrees already. You can eat at the Sunset Buffet from 7 am to 12 pm or at the Riviera Buffet from 7 am to 10:30 am, all of them very close to the forehead. you just need to go down the stairs. There are shops and buffets, a spa and a gym. And on the second floor there are almost all restaurants and a theater. We agreed with Nadezhda, she was our guide that we would go swimming in cenotes and (there are 7000 of them in Mexico) we agreed to watch turtles on the 14th. We finally checked into the room. Our room was 5020. With two beds! Why two? In the application for the reservation they wrote that the newlyweds! On this site I filled out - to receive a compliment from the hotel and I did not receive it. Not in any form. We laid out our things and had dinner.

The room has one bed larger than a double bed or there are double beds, on the opposite side of the bed is a TV and a mini bar, glasses for water. Where there is a mini bar, there is also a coffee grinder. We had a coffee grinder without a filter and it is simply not realistic to brew coffee there. Everything was done as it is drawn on the instructions and there was no coffee. The water alone flows. So in the coffee grinder we only heated the water for tea. There are benefits in the room. The bed also has two sideboards with table lamps. At the entrance there is a large wardrobe, a shoe rack. Only two hangers can be removed from the cabinet. It was convenient for me to dry broadcast like this, but here there are only two hangers and the rest are hanging on the rings and the rings are hooked on the bar in the closet. Next is a bathroom. Jacuzzi, countertop, twin sinks and illuminated mirror and shaving mirror. Toilet and shower are separate. And .... Hurray! There are doors to the toilet and shower. And now it is fashionable not to put them. On the balcony there is a table, armchairs, a jacuzzi and a heated towel rail. Everything is in general for life. AND! I forgot! Ironing board and iron in the closet. Not on request as usual, but already there. Closer to the night I wash my husband in the jacuzzi. I feel my feet are wet! This jacuzzi is leaking! Fortunately, this is the first floor. By the way, they do not smoke in the room, but on the balcony you can. They called the receptionist at the platinum, he is personal. And its own reception where there is a bar and you can have a snack around the clock + sun beds or rather canopy mattresses and a swimming pool, not very far from the room. We called someone there. Came looked wai-wai bad. I called the second one. The second came and invited the third, he said that it was terrible and we were being resettled. We quickly got together, I stuffed the wet laundry into the bag and suitcase. Angry like a dog. After such a flight, I have not slept yet. They let us into another room to spend the night and in the morning resettlement. Again I hung up the wet clothes to dry. And again there are two beds in the room! We went to bed .... We were already asleep. Someone is hammering on the door! I jumped up and started to get ready. Shove wet things into a suitcase. And there everything is hammering. She pushed her husband apart. He got dressed. We open the door ... and there a man came to move the beds. We're newlyweds! I thought I'd kill him! But in fact, he is not to blame. He was told to do it and he went to do his job. But I was angry! I unpacked my wet clothes again. In the morning, meet your guide with Nadezhda. We carry our suitcases with us. She said that she had not received a compliment from the hotel. Romantic petals are not made for newlyweds. Fruit in the room is two bananas, a sprig of grapes eaten by someone, an orange and a green apple. Scarce and poor even. Champagne was not brought to the room for free. It is paid. It was the first time they ever heard about spa coupons from us. And on the site we have one free spa visit per week. And .... this is the second floor of the elevator and in fact the third and then they smoke in the room! In the morning we got up and went to look at sea turtles. It is something! Tender sea, white sand and turtles! Then cenotes with cold water for me after the sea. Those with lung problems are not recommended such excursions. I am a smoker and that made me feel bad. There is a lot of time in the heat and in the water, and in the cenote it is very cool, but the beauty of the underwater is worth it! You look into crystal water and there is no bottom. Rummaged everything. These are ants. Although what we wanted outside the window is the palm trees! On the balcony, the birds are singing and Coati (Nasuhi is different) climb trees. Why do they walk around the trees and around the hotel and about 50 of them live on the beaches. Iguanas lie near the pool. They eat peeled bananas. We took them with us and fed the iguanas. And Coati only eat meat and roots and small lizards. Also, hamburgers are respected. On the beach, if not someone does not give food, then he goes to take it himself. Climbs onto a deck chair. Further on to the table (tables and umbrellas only in platinum) and everything that is there eats and does not lead with one paw that it stands on you. I really want to eat. Babies don't get so impudent. The sea is a fairy tale! White sand... The beach is public. Very fine. I reached the buoys up to your chest. Stones behind the buoys and up to the chest. There, big fish are swimming, they can be seen. We fed them hamburger buns. In two days already +40 husband in the gym, I'm on the beach. I managed to burn out, peel off and burn out in the sun again. How to go to the beach there is a stinking river. The crocadile lives in it. And Birds. With local herons. Every day I went there for a photo. Every day a new bird flew there. Squirrel has been seen. Gray and fluffy strongly. Not like ours. And what a tuna salad! I would wash all the dishes for them for a bowl of such a salad. But we never got to the Miso restaurant. They waited for about 30 minutes and they did not put us in prison. Exclamations of "Oooooooo!" Are heard throughout the hotel. I thought what fools! And these are the followers of Sushuf! Sushi bar chefs! What tricks he does with his spatulas! And at the same time "Ooooooo"! And the visitors howl at him! Very funny. Then my husband and I went to the hotels and howled "Oooooo!" ... So I highly recommend this hotel! Just check the jacuzzi, hair dryer and insects for infestation. Well, I am silent about bonuses .... They are not here. But living creatures, sea, diving, or just swimming in cenotes .... It's just something. I left my heart in this country. The hotel also has rooms for people in wheelchairs... They move around the hotel calmly. They eat and swim in the sea.
