Is the sea of Feodosia clean? Feodosia beaches. Vegetables and fruits

By plane

The nearest airport to Feodosia is the city's airport, located 120 kilometers from Feodosia. First we fly to it, and from it we get to Feodosia as we please: by taxi or by public transport. A taxi will cost about 2,000 rubles if you order it in advance, or more if you decide to go with local cabbies. You can take public transport to Feodosia either at the Simferopol bus station or at the Kurortnaya bus station. From the bus stop near the airport by bus or trolleybus you can get to the railway station, next to which there is the Kurortnaya bus station, or to the bus station, and then directly to Feodosia. In any case, the ticket prices will be about the same: around 170 rubles.

And now directly about air tickets. A ticket from Moscow will cost from 3000 rubles, and the flight will take 2 - 2.5 hours. From St. Petersburg to Simferopol, you can fly for 4300 rubles and 3.5 hours. Direct flights from other large cities of the country are rare, but possible: you can fly to Simferopol directly from Yekaterinburg (7800 rubles and 3.5 hours), Krasnodar (3800 rubles and 1.5 hours), from Rostov-on-Don (3800 rubles and 1.5 hours). You can monitor ticket prices.

By train

The easiest way to get to Crimea by train is to buy a ticket to Anapa, Novorossiysk or Krasnodar, and from there go either by bus or, in the case of coastal cities, by ferry to your destination. Train tickets from Moscow to Moscow cost from 1500 rubles, and the trip will take from 20 to 30 hours, from Moscow to Anapa - from 2000 rubles and 23 hours on the road, from Moscow to - from 1500 rubles and 23 hours on the road. From St. Petersburg to - from 2000 rubles and 31 hours on the road, to Anapa - from 3000 rubles and 39 hours on the road, to - from 2200 rubles and 46 hours on the road.

There is also a system of so-called "single tickets", for example, in the direction "- Feodosia", the cost of which immediately includes travel by train to Krasnodar, from Krasnodar to the port of Kavkaz by bus, then from the port of Kavkaz to the port of Crimea by ferry and further on the same bus to Feodosia. Currently, the issuance of single tickets has been temporarily suspended

By bus

There are two bus stations in Feodosia: from one located not far from the tourist center of the city, as a rule, there are flights to other nearby cities of the Crimea, and to the other, located a little to the north, long-distance flights arrive. You can get to Feodosia by bus from Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Gelendzhik and other cities. To get to Feodosia by bus from Moscow or St. Petersburg, you will need to change trains in one of these cities, preferably in Krasnodar, Anapa or Novorossiysk.

By car

To get to Feodosia by car, you must first get to the port of Kavkaz, then cross with the car by ferry to the port of Crimea, and then take the E97 highway to get directly to Feodosia. Pretty simple. Ferry tickets for motorists, by the way, will cost from 1200 rubles (depending on the size of the car) plus 162 rubles for each passenger.

Now a little about how to get to the port of Kavkaz by the shortest route. Wherever you are traveling, you will need to go South along the M4 highway. Two routes appear here: the first and the traditional one - continue along the M4 towards Krasnodar, and from it turn towards the city of Temryuk onto the P251 highway, and from Temryuk continue along the same road towards the port of Kavkaz. The second method is not so popular, but on it you can save about 120 kilometers, 10 liters of gasoline and an hour and a half. To do this, in the area of the Kushchevskaya stanitsa, turn towards the Kanevskaya stanitsa, from which, along the P268 highway, get to Timashevsk. From Timashevsk we turn towards Slavyansk-on-Kuban, from Slavyansk-on-Kuban we go to Temryuk and then along the same road to the port.

By ferry

Ferry - today, one way or another, the most popular way to get to Crimea, since almost all tourists use it, except for those who decided to fly by plane. From the port of Kavkaz to the port of Crimea, ferries run every half hour, so avoid Kerch Strait here it will not be difficult. As mentioned above, the cost of a ticket for one person is 162 rubles. Yes, and be prepared for a thorough search when entering and exiting the port. It will be necessary to get from the port of Crimea to Feodosia by overland communication: from the port we go to the Kerch bus station by minibus (the fare will be 10 rubles), and from the Kerch bus station to Feodosia we go by bus for 160 rubles.

There is also an opportunity to get to Feodosiya from Anapa by catamaran. The fare on the catamaran will be 1,500 rubles for adults and 750 rubles for children.

When is the season. When is the best time to go

The climate in Feodosia is intermediate between steppe and subtropical, close to the Mediterranean. Typical for hot southern cities. Summers are long and hot, winters are almost snowless and warm. Most of the precipitation falls in December, but in the summer there is a possibility of running into a rainy period. You can navigate the prices for tours to Feodosia.

Feodosia in summer

Summer is, for obvious reasons, the most popular time of the year for recreation in Feodosia, since the city is, first of all, a resort town. In summer, in Feodosia, you will find hot southern weather with warm and pleasant evenings, the salty sea and beaches, green vegetation decorating the streets, as well as trees that will delight you with all sorts of edible delicacies growing on them. In fact, summer here begins in April and ends around mid-October. There are especially many tourists during the period from July to September. Actually, this is the most favorable time to relax on the Black Sea coast, since the water is still cold in June.

Feodosia in autumn

Traditionally, it is customary to refer to autumn as the months from September to November inclusive. We will do the same when we talk about autumn in Feodosia. In September, as mentioned above, there are still a lot of people on the beaches and streets of the city. And it is not surprising: the water is still warm, the air is still warmed by the summer sun, and nothing reminds of the approaching change of seasons. But in October, tourists begin to leave, and by November the embankments of Feodosia are almost completely freed from tourists.

Feodosia in spring

Spring - good time to visit Feodosia for cultural and educational purposes. A great many interesting and noteworthy sights are concentrated on the "God-given" land, which are definitely worth a look. Otherwise, the tourist activity in the city in spring is very weak.

Feodosia in winter

In winter, there are no tourists in Feodosia at all, therefore, only by hearsay they know about what winter is in Feodosia locals... Tourists have nothing to do in Feodosia in winter.

Districts. Where is the best place to live

Feodosia has no official division into districts. There is, however, some informal system of dividing the city into 19 districts. This is a fairly large number of names, in which it will be very easy to get confused. Therefore, we will go the other way and ourselves conditionally divide Feodosia into four regions: the southern part (purple), the central part (red), the northern part (green) and the outskirts (blue).

The price of hotels in Feodosia, as in most coastal cities, is more influenced by the distance from the coast, therefore, the farther from the sea, the cheaper, as a rule, but there are exceptions. Also, in addition to the usual hotels with standard service, in Feodosia, the owners lease rooms in almost every private house. Already at the station you will most likely be met by such feudal landowners and offered to rent "housing, inexpensive!" And here you can find both unspeakably cheap offers and unreasonably expensive ones. In a word, if you decide to rent a room by directly agreeing with the owner, then here we give you only one piece of advice: be vigilant, circumspect and attentive. You can choose a private apartment in advance. Well, for comparison, below we give a list of accommodation options in different areas of the city.

South part:

  • Hotel "Georgievskaya" - from 800 rubles per day;
  • Hotel "Lydia" - from 1800 rubles per day;
  • Mini-hotel "Feonika" - from 4200 rubles per day;

Central part:

  • Hostel "On Russkaya Street" - from 500 rubles per day;
  • Hotel "Aphrodite" - from 1500 rubles per day;
  • Guest house "Assol" - from 3200 rubles per day;

Northern part:

  • Hotel "Solnechnaya" - from 400 rubles per day;
  • Hotel "Atlantic" - from 1400 rubles per day;
  • Hotel "On Chernomorskaya" - from 1800 rubles per day;
  • Guest house "Good Guest" - from 1750 rubles per day;
  • Hotel "Robinson's Hut" - from 2300 rubles per day;
  • Hotel "Sunrise" - from 2500 rubles per day.

You can compare prices from different sites, but you can book on booking -.

What are the prices for rest

Prices for a standard tour of the main attractions of Feodosia start at 500 rubles. The offer on the market for excursion services here often outstrips demand: on the streets of the city you will see many tables with counters, behind which guides stand day and night and wait for customers. Speaking of this, we recommend that you give preference to guides who have accreditation, as evidenced by the appropriate certification badge in Ukrainian or possibly Russian. In Feodosia, among other things, you can also order a horse ride, the cost of which starts from 700 rubles, as well as excursions to other settlements and places of the Crimea.

Major attractions. What to see

In Feodosia, you can not only relax your body, but also enrich yourself spiritually by visiting local attractions.

Top 5

Genoese fortress

One of the most popular and famous monuments of Feodosia. It is the remains of, in fact, a fortress, erected in the Middle Ages.

St. Constantine Tower

One of the monuments of medieval architecture, which is part of the Genoese fortress. Its distinctive feature is that it has survived to this day in its original form.

Cape of Saint Elijah

Aivazovsky fountain

A small building with interesting story... In 1887, Theodosians experienced an acute shortage of fresh water. I.K. Aivazovsky, a famous Feodosian, decided to give the source of drinking water that belonged to his estate in favor of the city, for which the townspeople were immensely grateful to the artist.

Fountain "To the Good Genius"

To this day, the Feodosians keep a grateful memory of their outstanding fellow countryman. In 2004, the "Good Genius" fountain-monument was opened, which is a bronze female figure holding a bowl from which water flows.

Beaches. Which is better

The beaches of Feodosia stretch along its entire sea coast. Some even merge with each other and seem to be one big beach with no name, but this is obviously a misconception. Below we will talk about the most pleasant beaches in the city.

Golden beach

The beach is located between Feodosia and the village of Beregovoe, along the highway M17 "Simferopol-". It is famous for its golden sands, consisting of worn shells. The beach is equipped with all the necessary beach infrastructure: there are changing cabins, toilets, umbrellas, sun loungers. Here you can always buy various kinds of flour products and not only from local merchants, as well as have a bite to eat in the nearest cafe, of which there are a lot on the coast. The bottom here is smooth, flat, so the beach is perfect for families with children, who, nevertheless, will need to be monitored, since there are no buoys on the beach. Also on the Golden Beach you can easily find a quiet, secluded place if you prefer to stay away from large crowds of vacationers. In a word, the Golden Beach is rightfully considered the best place in Feodosia for a quiet, measured rest on the seashore.

Central beach "Kameshki"

And this beach is more for lovers of the noisy resort atmosphere of the South of Russia. The central beach, or "Kameshki", is considered the most popular both among the Feodosians themselves and among tourists, since it is located in the very center of the city, next to the Feodosia embankment, so you can hardly walk past it while walking around the city. The beach is equipped with everything you need to beach holiday, and moreover, it abounds in various kinds of services and entertainment, such as riding on "bananas", "pills", "Batmen" and other rubber stuff, rental of jet skis and even massage. Here you do not have to look for a snack: the snack will find you on its own. The beach has an abundance of cafes, kiosks and retail outlets where you can buy everything from food to souvenirs. The disadvantages of the beach include the high probability of leaving too much money here, succumbing to the abundance of all kinds of temptations. Pebble beach.

The first city beach

Located next door to Central beach and the range of services provided is no different from it. Perhaps the only difference between the First City Beach and "Kamushki" is that it is sandy and consists of shells worn out for centuries, so those who do not have a love for pebble beaches will find the First City Beach more pleasant than its neighbor.

Closed beach of the Ministry of Defense sanatorium

Next to the First City Beach is the beach of the Ministry of Defense sanatorium, which is free only for the guests of the sanatorium. The entrance will cost about 200 rubles. The beach is sandy and generally pretty pretty, and the fact that it is paid can please people who want to get as far as possible from the bulk of vacationers.

Cote d'Azur beach

A narrow sandy beach that stretches along the coast for a very short distance. However, there are always a lot of people here. The beach has everything you need for a beach holiday, a lifeguard and a doctor are on duty.

Ai-Petri beach or Suvorinsky stones

Further along the coast, next to the beach " Cote d'Azur", The Ai-Petri beach is located, popularly known as the Suvorin stones. The beach is quite narrow, the bottom is pebbly, the range of services is about the same as on the previous beaches, but unlike them, Ai-Petri is still less picturesque and aesthetically beautiful.

Dynamo beach

The beach is located right behind the youth sanatorium of the same name. In general, it does not differ from the above: there is all the infrastructure, entertainment, catering establishments, toilets, etc. Discomfort is caused only by concrete slabs sticking out from under the sand in some places. The beach, by the way, is open from 5 am to 11 pm. But it is worth noting that if you are an adventurer with a sixty-liter backpack on your shoulders, and you, who find yourself in Feodosia at night, need to pitch a tent somewhere, then you should not be afraid to go to the Dynamo beach. The helpful guards here will easily let you sit on the beach for the night, and the police patrolling it will tell you a lot interesting facts from the history of the city.

Pearl beach

Located behind the Dynamo beach, the Pearl Beach in its picturesqueness may well compete with the Golden Beach: the same bright sand, the same atmosphere of serenity. The beach is equipped with everything you need, there are plenty of shelters from the sun.

Bounty Beach

The logical continuation of the "Pearl" beach. It has a full range of assorted entertainment services, as well as all the necessary infrastructure. In general, a rather ordinary sandy beach, which does not differ from others in anything, except for the proximity of the location, if you settled somewhere in the area of the auto and railway station.

Scarlet Sails Beach

As you approach the outskirts of the city, less crowded and more interesting and picturesque beaches begin. One of them is Scarlet Sails. A wide sandy beach stretching along the Kerch highway. It has all the infrastructure, which we talked about more than once above. The beach is interesting, first of all, for the purity of the water, as well as for the abundance of various underwater inhabitants: crabs, sea urchins, rapans and others. It is definitely worth coming here with a mask and a snorkel to dive to the depths and look at sea inhabitants or even hunt them (without harming nature and solely for the purpose of broadening one's horizons, of course).

Beach "Club 117"

And finally, the beach located between the Golden and Scarlet Sails. Club 117 during the day is an ordinary cozy beach for lying in the sun and swimming in salt water. It becomes interesting at night, when a lot of party-goers, both locals and visitors, flock here. A whole night of dancing to the music of temperamental DJs, rivers of alcoholic drinks and, of course, soft drinks will await you on the Club 117 beach after 20:00.

Churches and temples. Which are worth visiting

Church of St. Catherine

Founded at the end of the century before last, the Cathedral of St. Catherine in Feodosia is an example of Russian architecture. Located next to railway station and the bus station, therefore it will certainly come into your field of vision if you arrive in Feodosia by bus. An impressive complex with its size and beauty, which is definitely worth a visit to Orthodox tourists.

Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

Built at the beginning of the 20th century and executed in the Russian-Byzantine style. It is also a very curious and picturesque place that is worth visiting for both pious and not so people.

What to see in the vicinity

Speaking about Crimea, and especially about its coast, one cannot single out any one place and say that it is better than the others: every city, village or town is beautiful in its own way. Therefore, if you ask us: "What to see in the vicinity of Feodosia?" - we will not hesitate to answer - the whole Crimea.

But if we talk about the Feodosia region of Crimea, then here you can go to the villages of Beregovoe and Primorsky with uncrowded and clean sandy beaches. You can also recommend the village in the west with its famous Surb Khach monastery. Well, in the south there are the famous villages of Ordzhonikidze and, next to which, in turn, is the remarkable Karadag reserve. Not far from Ordzhonikidze, we recommend visiting another exceptional place - Fox Bay. Fox Bay is a kind of haven for all kinds of modern hippies, homeless people and other "vagabonds of the Dharma." She is a big tent city in a secluded spot between two headlands, next to which there is a nudist beach. We recommend to come to Fox Bay for the night with a tent. And don't forget to take as much firewood and water as possible on the road.

Food. What to try

The multinational Crimean peninsula has absorbed many culinary traditions from different peoples and ethnic groups. Separately, it is worth noting the traditional cuisine of the Crimean Tatars, which you can get acquainted with in the corresponding national cafes and restaurants, which also exist in Feodosia. Ukrainian and Russian cuisines are also widespread.

Of course, the Crimean pasties, which differ from the usual pasties in impressively generous sizes, should be singled out separately. In Feodosia, you can try them in the food bistro restaurant chain. Also, in the markets and shops of Feodosia, you can buy a sweet, popular in Crimea, - baklava. And of course in Feodosia there are many places where a tourist can taste the famous Crimean wines.

Holidays

Feodosia City Day celebrates on the last Saturday of July, in full swing tourist season, therefore, tourists will have every chance to catch the festival with processions, concerts and traditional night fireworks. Back in September, Feodosia hosts the Winefeofest wine festival, where the leading wine producers in Crimea and not only present their products to the general court, and festival guests have the opportunity to taste various brands of wines. Among other things, the Winefeofest traditionally hosts grandiose shows, fireworks and other fun things.

In May, during the week in Feodosia, the aeronautics festival Air Brotherhood is held, which consists of competitions among balloon pilots. It is also quite a beautiful and fascinating sight, which is definitely worth seeing if you are in Feodosia in May.

In October, an equestrian festival is held in honor of the Horse Breeder's Day, where people who are not indifferent to horses are given the opportunity to admire and ride beautiful animals. In addition to horses, there is an exhibition of other animals at the festival. Shows with acrobatic stunts on horses.

Things to do

In addition to standard sea activities, such as walks on water attractions, excursions and other tourist pleasures, in Feodosia there are other things that you can keep yourself busy with. For example, watch a movie in one of the three cinemas in Feodosia: "Crimea", "Ukraine" or "Pioneer". Listen to music of various styles from local and visiting performers in the summer concert hall "Star". Go to a play at the House of Officers of the Black Sea Fleet or the Feodosia City House of Culture. In a word, many different activities can be found, some of which we will discuss in more detail below.

Shopping and shops

There are four large shopping centers in Feodosia: "Aquamarine", "Yuzhny", "Passage" and "As-El". But the focus of shopping here, as in most others resort towns, are by no means shopping centers and malls, but good old markets and rows of shops. The Crimean and Central markets are especially popular with tourists and residents of the city, and if we talk about trade rows, their greatest concentration is observed in the immediate vicinity of the coast, and in particular in the area of the Paratroopers' embankment.

Bars. Where to go

Most of the bars in Feodosia are located outdoors, and traditional bars in rooms or cellars are not particularly popular with tourists. Look for open-air bars in the vicinity of city beaches, and we will name a few traditional bars below:

Top 5 Feodosiya bars:

  • "Rooms" - Lounge bar;
  • "Pivlyandiya" - a pub;
  • Greenwich, casino bar;
  • "Lydia" - bar;
  • "East-South" - a disco bar.

Clubs and nightlife

On summer nights on the coast of Feodosia, party-goers make noise. The most popular here are the open-air clubs and only a few stay to light up the premises on a warm summer evening. Night discos are for the most part spontaneous, but there are also traditional places for spending night leisure. Such phenomena as face control and dress code are quite rare here.

Top 5 Feodosia clubs:

  • Arcadia, a night club;
  • "CROCODILE", - a night club;
  • "Water World" - a night club;
  • "Daddy Billy" - a night club;
  • "Africa" - a night club;

Extreme sports

In Feodosia, you can find quite a decent amount of extreme entertainment, besides the obvious "bananas", "pills" and towed parachutes: horseback riding, ATV walks, jeeping, rope jumping, hot air ballooning, diving, paragliding and much more. You can find them, as they say, right on the street, from the guides who trade with their services. We give you just one piece of advice: be careful with extreme entertainment and order services only from trusted and certified specialists.

Souvenirs. What to bring as a gift

Public transport in Feodosia, and indeed in the whole Crimea, for the most part it is represented by cute yellow buses, outlandish for the rest of Russia. These minibuses can be used both inside the city and to the nearby villages. From the bus station of Feodosia, buses run to Ordzhonikidze, and other more remote settlements. The fare in a minibus within the city is only 10 rubles, and travel to neighboring villages can cost from 11 to 18 rubles, depending on the distance.

Transport rent

In Feodosia, you can rent a car for a period of two days and more, subject to availability of all required documents: passports and driver's license. Also, when renting a car, you will have to leave a deposit, the amount of which will depend on the class of the car. The rental price per day starts from 1200 rubles. There are many companies that provide such services, so we advise you to be careful and use the services of reliable and trusted organizations. You can pick up a car in advance.

Feodosia - rest with children

If you come to Feodosia with children, then you don't have to think about how to entertain them: the street excursion vendors themselves will offer you a lot of fun for your children. With children, for example, you can go for a ride on horses, ATVs or a jeep (of course, if the kids are not very young). You can visit various excursions with your children, the assortment of which will be gladly introduced to you on the spot. You can give them a ride on a "banana" or ride with them on a pleasure boat along the coast. You can take them to Luna Park to ride various attractions or take them to the dolphinarium. Or you can go outside Feodosia and go to the new famous Koktebel water park or to the Taigan safari park. In a word, local workers of the tourism industry will definitely not let your children leave indifferent from the "God-given" Feodosia.

Anything to add?

Literally last summer, my friends and I managed to take a vacation at about the same time. We thought for a long time about what to do until we asked our Crimean acquaintances for advice, who in response called us to their place. visit Feodosia... To be honest, then I knew very little about this city and had no idea how to relax there. There were many questions: what is the sea in Feodosia, what is the weather, what interesting things can be found in the vicinity... But now I have found out everything and I want to answer your question.

How to get to Feodosia

First, there was the question of how to get to Feodosia. Collectively, we decided that the best option for everyone would be air travel... And so, having filled our suitcases to capacity, we went to the airport. The flight went well and we ended up in Simferopol... There, on the advice of all the same Crimean friends, we passed by taxi drivers who were ready to take us anywhere in Crimea, but at the same time contribute to the reduction of bills in our wallets, got to the bus stationwhere in a couple of hours took the bus that took us straight to Feodosia.

What is the sea in Feodosia

Who has not yet understood stands on the Black Sea coast, which had already warmed up by the time of our visit. And in the morning we visited the local "Pearl" beach... The place turned out to be quite equipped with sun loungers and places in the shade. Generally, all conditions were created for rest.

Other beaches of Feodosia

Our unspoken goal was visit all the beaches in Feodosiato evaluate them yourself rather than relying entirely on reviews. Among them were:

  • Pearl beach - as I have already mentioned, firstwhich we visited;
  • The first city - locals call it childish and for good reason, because you need to move away very far from the coast to feel the depth;
  • Golden beach - one of the best beaches in Feodosia with a very wide coastlinewhere we found ourselves sunbeds (not free, of course);
  • Scarlet Sails - why the beach was named that way remained a mystery to us, but we can definitely say that it was one of the cleanest places by the sea;
  • Pebbles - the only beach where we could hardly find a place for our towels. The beach turned out to be incredibly popular, which is not at all surprising because he is pebble, and not sandy like other beaches in the city.

It's hard to tell what sea in Feodosia, after all, I did not succeed in fully learning everything about him, despite the fact that I was there. If you also want " classically "relax by the sea, then Feodosia is the place where it will definitely work out.

    In total, along the coastline of Feodosia, there are more than 10 beaches ranging from 35 to 50 m wide.Their peculiarity is that they were created not only by nature itself - pebbles were brought here, thanks to which the bottom of the sea became flatter, and coastline smoother. Immediately after the "Pebbles" is the first city, or the so-called "Children's Beach". It is dominated by sand, but the bottom is flatter, and the shallow water stretches for about 50 m into the sea, so here it warms up very quickly and practically does not storm, you can swim on this beach already in mid-May. History of Feodosia

The city of Feodosia, whose sandy beaches today attract tourists from all over Russia, has always been very attractive place for life. Of course, the ancient people were not interested in sunny coasts, but primarily in an extremely favorable position. Numerous trade routes passed by the city, and therefore the first settlements appeared here a very long time ago.

The official date of the foundation of the city is the 6th century BC. e. Then the Milesian colonists chose this place to locate a strategically important settlement. However, today archaeologists are discovering new evidence that Feodosia (Crimea), whose beaches are filled with tourists today, appeared in the 9th century BC. e. At the time of the Bosporus kingdom, about 8 thousand people lived in the city, it flourished and grew for 300 years. But the invasions of the Huns led the city to decline. For several centuries, the Alans lived on the site of Feodosia. Later, the territories came under the control of Byzantium, and then under the influence of the Golden Horde. The Genoese bought a plot of the Feodosia coast from the Tatars and founded a large trading city here. To defend their territory, they build a powerful fortress, part of which has survived to this day. The Genoese made the city prosperous shopping center, the population has grown tenfold. It was home to the region's largest slave trade market. The wealth and power of the city invariably attracted invaders to it. At first, it was conquered by the Ottomans, who transformed Feodosia in their own style. Later Russian troops tried to capture the city for 2 centuries, and in 1771 the fortress was taken by Prince V. Dolgoruky. For two centuries, the city quietly vegetated on the periphery of the empire. And only in the 19th century, the rapid development of infrastructure, economic revival and population growth began. With the advent of Soviet power, Feodosia begins its new life - a resort is established here for the recreation of citizens of the country, an industrial complex is created, and a large construction is underway. During the Second World War, the city was occupied by fascist troops, the population suffered greatly from the invaders. In 1954 Feodosia was transferred to the Ukrainian USSR together with the Crimea as a resort city. After the collapse of the USSR, the city went to Ukraine. In 2014, together with Crimea, it was returned to Russia.

Attractions of Feodosia

The rich history of the city has left a large number of monuments that attract tourists. Sightseeing in Feodosia can take more than one day. It is worth starting your acquaintance with the city from the 14th century monument. Unfortunately, the walls, which withstood the onslaught of many attackers, were dismantled in the 19th century by civilians to build houses. But even by the remnants, one can judge the former power of the structure. While exploring the fortress, you cannot miss the Tower of Constantine, it is the symbol and talisman of the city. She was even depicted on the coat of arms of Feodosia. The Armenian Church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel also belongs to the ancient monuments. It was built in the 15th century and is a prime example of the influence of Italian architecture on local architects. In this temple, the future artist Aivazovsky was baptized at birth, and his grave is also here. The Armenian fountain, which is a monument of traditional national architecture, also dates back to the 15th century. Of the newer attractions, it is worth seeing the Stamboli Palace from the early 20th century and the Church of St. Catherine from the late 19th century. "Golden Beach" of Feodosia

One of the most famous beaches is located 5 km from the city center. This coast got its name from the fine golden sand with which it is covered. The popularity of the place leads to the fact that in the "high season" here you have to fight for a "place in the sun", so many vacationers come here. Scarlet Sails Beach (Feodosia) is free to visit, but all services will require expenses. Shore cover - coarse-grained sand mixed with shell rock; to lie on it, you need a sunbed. The umbrellas are distributed throughout the territory with a good margin of distances, so there is no feeling of crowding and crowding here. The seabed near the coast is covered with large stones, sometimes overgrown with algae, so you need to be careful when swimming. A lifeguard from the tower is vigilantly watching the vacationers, so there are almost no accidents here. The entrance to the water is long and shallow, so the sea warms up well near the coast and you can have a great time on the beach even with small children. For kids, there is a pool with an inflatable slide. The territory is equipped with changing cabins, drinking fountains, several cafes and equipment rental.

"Pearl Beach"

The beaches of Feodosia, reviews of which are usually more than positive, began to take shape in special recreation areas back in Soviet times. The place, formerly called "The Second City Beach", today received nice name - "Pearl". The beach is located within the city, its length is a little less than a kilometer, and its width is about 50 meters. The place got its name for the coastal cover - fine golden pearl sand. Vacationers are offered a full range of paid services, although the use of the beach and changing rooms is free. Usually by 10 am the beach is full of people, so it's worth arriving early to choose a good spot. Zhemchuzhny provides a variety of entertainment and food services and offers a wide range of water activities.

"Bounty"

The second part of "City Beach No. 2" was named "Bounty", although, of course, this is an exaggeration. Do not expect paradise seclusion and a landscape with palm trees here. But excellent fine sand, a very wide coastline, gentle descent into the water, in general, everything that the beaches of Feodosia can be proud of, reviews of which cause the envy of vacationers, is present here. "Bounty" is good because there is not only a comfortable shore, but also a pleasant to the touch the bottom of the sea, without large stones and algae. The cleanliness and long shallow waters make this beach a great place for families with children. But the rest of the vacationers are provided with a full range of services. Feodosia, whose city beach was created in the 19th century, is often associated with pebble shores. The main beach of the city, nicknamed "Pebbles", has this very coverage. It stretches for 1 km and has a width of 30-40 m. The entrance to the water is long and smooth, the beach has everything you need to relax. Convenient location within the city limits leads to the fact that there are a lot of people here on summer days; you cannot find a secluded rest here. But the beach has an excellent infrastructure in the form of cafes, clubs, an amusement park. People rest here until late at night, watching the sunset at the tables of coastal restaurants.

"The first city"

Describing the best beaches of Feodosia, one cannot ignore the "First City" or "Children's" beach. An excellent entertainment complex has been built here, which allows children to be occupied for a long time. For everyone, catering services, rental of various equipment are provided, in the evenings there is a disco and a restaurant on the beach.

"Wild beach"

For lovers of secluded relaxation, Feodosia is perfect. On the outskirts of the city, behind the Genoese fortress, there is a place called Chumka, where you can sunbathe almost alone. The rocky coast with a narrow pebble shoal looks very colorful, although it is unlikely that lovers of comfortable rest will like it. Those who want to admire the ascetic nature of the real Crimea come here. There is no question of sun loungers and changing rooms, otherwise it would no longer be a "wild" beach. But there are very few people, and the water is very clean, since it is not easy to get here.

Also, "wild" beaches can be found near the village of Ordzhonikidze. Although it's easier to get here than to Chumka, there are still few people here, you can find a completely secluded place.
