Eilat beaches are paid or not. Eilat beaches: on the map, photos, what are the beaches in Eilat. The greatness of the local nature

All beaches have the same "address" - the Gulf of Aqaba on the coast of the Red Sea, 12 km of land. However, the variety of beaches is such that everyone will find "the most - the most" for themselves. Locals divide the coast into 2 zones: northern beaches or pebble-sandy and southern - coral. On all beaches, the depth begins almost immediately, the water is very clean and transparent, through which you can see sea world... There are no temperature changes here, and nothing disturbs the marine life.

The entire tourist area is located on the northern coast, there are no corals and few fish. Some of the first line hotels have their own civilized beach, but there are few of them.

Dear tourists, book excursions with my participation, great time, I guarantee !!! I tell a lot, it is interesting, and in human language :)

Beaches to visit

For a complete experience, it is advisable to visit 3 beaches.

Migdalor - the best place to look at corals. It is advisable to bring aqua shoes or coral slippers with you. The bottom of the beach is rocky, sea urchins live, and without slippers it will be impossible to get closer to the coral thickets. There are free umbrellas on the beach and a bar that is closed on weekends. There is a shower, toilet, changing rooms, you can rent a trailer.

It is allowed to enter the sea only in places marked with ropes. You cannot take a piece of coral - a fine. Easily accessible from Eilat city center by bus 15 or taxi.

Dolphin reef- tamed dolphins live in their environment. Divided into 2 zones: for humans and dolphins. You can swim in the "human" zone, and watch the dolphins from the pier from three viewing platforms... Diving with dolphins can be tried for a fee.

For an additional fee, there are 3 swimming pools surrounded by greenery - fresh, sweet or salty water. Peacocks are walking along the shore, there is an excellent self-service restaurant.

How to get there: from Eilat buses 15 and 16, from Ovda airport - 282 or by taxi. It is better to come in the morning to take a seat.

Hof Hashemesh - for fans of "wild" rest. This is a place of solitude with nature. On weekdays, there are few people, locals come here on holidays. From the benefits of civilization, there is a kiosk with drinks and showers, but you can grill on the grill and put up a tent. Locals sometimes fish here. Underfoot - sand and pebbles, around the primeval silence.
Part of the beach is separated by a fence - for believers. You can only get there by car or taxi.

The Israelis are sensitive to their homeland and cherish nature. On all beaches, except for the wild one, you should not touch fish and corals with your hands in order to preserve them for future generations. You cannot enter the water after sunset.

Eilat's Red Sea coast is probably what made Eilat so popular all over the world. As Yves Cousteau said, and this is a man who knew a lot about the seas and whose opinion you can trust, the Red Sea is the most beautiful on the planet. Hundreds of thousands of tourists every year come to Eilat in order to admire the beauty of the northernmost coral reef and its inhabitants. In the Red Sea, there are about a thousand species of fish, including unique ones, about 150 species of coral grow. Colorful coral reefs stretch along the coast. Near them are myriads of fish, unimaginably bright colors and bizarre shapes. It is believed that there are no better conditions for diving in the Northern Hemisphere. But even with an ordinary mask, swim over coral gardens extremely interesting because the reef comes right up to the shore.

The most important thing is not to forget that nothing hands - you can't touch your feet, primarily because all this needs to be preserved for future generations, and the reef is dying out from year to year at a catastrophic pace and mainly because of careless tourists who break out corals wanting to take away a piece of the Red Sea, Eilat, memories of a great vacation, and so on similar sentimental nonsense, but also because almost everything in the Red Sea poisonous and there may be big health problems, but this is of course nonsense ...

So - if you decide to dive, soak up the hot Eilat sun or just breathe in the sea air, then below we list the beaches in the order in which they are located on the coast, starting from the border with Egypt (the beach of the Princess Hotel) - the southernmost point of Israel and ending with the beach of Hof Mifratz ha-Shemesh, which is adjacent to the border with Jordan.

The entire Red Sea coast of the Gulf of Eilat occupies only some 12 km. and it can be divided into two parts: southern - from the beach of the "Princess Eilat" hotel to the beach of Kisuski Sport (by the way HOF in Hebrew, means beach) along which, in fact, the reef stretches and the coast here is mostly rocky. For diving, you need to go to one of these beaches, and the northern coast, which is located within the city. On this segment there are hotel beaches, by the way, all beaches are open and free, but if you want to relax more comfortably, you can buy a sun lounger on any of them for a very reasonable price - shekels 15 - 20 and own it until the beach "closes", that is hours until 5 pm, after which it will be kindly selected by the beach employee and you will have to lay on a towel directly on the sand, since the beaches in this part of the coast are sandy, but you will not find corals and animals here either. But here you will find a great variety of restaurants, hotels and attractions, which our city is rich in.

So - everyone to the beach. The main thing is not to crap. Take care of nature - your mother !!!

One of the most popular resorts, which only exist in Israel, today Eilat is recognized. It is located on the southern side of the country on the shores of the Gulf of Eilat, therefore it has ideal climatic conditions for relax. Vacationers are attracted by local beauty and beautifully arranged beaches of Eilat, which are called "tourist paradise", here will find a place for themselves and those who prefer to soak up the sun, and those who like to actively spend their vacation.

Features of the resort area of Eilat

One of the "trump cards" of this resort town is the proximity of the Red Sea, it washes the coast for eleven kilometers. Its depths allow diving, and a good wave is the main joy for surfers.

The coastal landscape is decorated with coral reefs, among which interesting small fish rushing about, of various bright colors and bizarre shapes. You can see starfish, hedgehogs and other inhabitants of the sea. The main thing is not to interfere with the life of nature and then you can discover unprecedented beauty.

Sea water even in summer heat remains cool, the reason for this is the ocean currents. But even in winter, its temperature does not drop below +15 degrees. Therefore, the beaches of Eilat are in demand all year round. Best seasons spring and autumn are considered.

The coastline consists of several beaches and is conventionally divided into two sides:

  • southern, along which reefs stretch;
  • north, falling within the city limits.

A small overview of the most popular beaches in Eilat will help you decide which side to choose. In addition, it should be borne in mind that amateurs active rest and diving choose the south side, and those who like sand and warm sun choose the north side on their own territory.

Features and arrangement of the "Princess of Eilat"

Diving in the Red Sea

"Princess of Eilat" is the most remote beach on the south side, it is located opposite the hotel of the same name and is located closer to the border with Egypt (therefore it is not the most crowded). It is also called the coral beach of Eilat due to its impressive coral growth. This place is considered the best for scuba diving, but for those who just like to swim, it is perfect. The coastal zone is thoughtfully cleared, and to make it convenient to enter the water, there are two small piers. Closer to sunset, the bridges are closed, and the beach itself is open until nightfall.

The territory of the "Princess" is well-groomed, there is everything here to relax in complete comfort and get a lot of new impressions. You can rent umbrellas, sun loungers. The infrastructure is well developed, there is a cafe, free parking, lifeguards work, toilets are provided, as well as showers and changing cabins.

The most important entertainment is diving, there is a specially made equipment rental point (you cannot do without a diving mask).

Important! Don't forget to bring your camera. While in this area, you should definitely take some photos of the beaches of Eilat , including the marvelous corals that adorn The Princess.

Features, arrangement of "Dekel"

One of the popular places to soak up the sun is the Dekel area. There is clean sand, gentle sea and palm trees, behind which a magnificent view of the mountains opens. Judging by the reviews about the beaches of Eilat , this is one of the most boring places on the coast: attractions, water activities (banana rides, boats) are waiting for tourists. Those who have never climbed an iceberg will be able to get such a feeling (thanks to the artificial block). There is a diving school a few meters from this area.

This is a private territory, so the administration of "Dekel" organizes various events, performances, competitions, festivals on it. A disco is held every evening, and weddings are not uncommon.

Everything at Dekel provides a comfortable rest (umbrellas, sun loungers, changing rooms, showers), a bar is waiting for visitors, where you can order refreshing drinks.

Features and arrangement of "Migdalor" ("Lighthouse")

"Migdalor" (which means "Lighthouse") is also one of the most popular places among vacationers who choose the southern side and the beauty of coral reefs. It is located outside the city limits, it is a cozy place for have a great rest... Sun loungers are provided on it for free, there are showers and toilets, the territory is clean and well-groomed. If you need diving equipment, mattresses, boats - all of this can be rented at a special point. The only negative is that the work of the rescue service has not yet been organized.

The sea here is clear and incredibly beautiful, thanks to the rocky bottom, the water is never muddy or dirty. On the opposite hill there is a lighthouse.

This place is loved by vacationers, here you can spend a wonderful day and stay until late at night, there is a good kitchen and a bar, from where pleasant and calm music sounds.

Features, arrangement of "Royal Beach"

Royal Beach Hotel

On the north side is the chain best hotels Eilat with its own beach, one of the most elite is the territory of "Royal Beach". The territory differs from others in the increased level of comfort. It is clean and beautiful, with snow-white umbrellas and sun loungers on which pillows are thoughtfully placed.

On the territory of this beach in the city of Eilat, there is a large number of bars, restaurants, comfortable places to change clothes. There are many water activities. This is a great place to lie on the soft sand or take a dip in coral-free sea waters.

Arrangement of the beach near the hotel "Dan Eilat"

The beach located in Eilat opposite the Dan Eilat hotel is municipal. This is a clean and well-groomed sandy area where you can relax under the shade of palm trees and enjoy the sea. The beach is fully landscaped, there is everything you need for the comfort of vacationers (umbrellas, sun beds, changing cabins), open around the clock.

    Dolphin Reef Beach

Dolphin Reef Beach is located in the Eilat resort area - near the border with Egypt. The length of the beach is about 50 m, it is located in a lagoon, where a section of a coral reef is fenced off near the coast. The main highlight of this place is that dolphins come here several times a day.

Israel is not only a historical and architectural heritage that amazes with its wealth and global significance. The promised land stretched out in a narrow strip along Mediterranean Sea, and at its southern end there is a 10-kilometer stretch, washed by another sea - the Red Sea. Here is the city of Eilat, one of the main beach resorts country.

The air temperature here never drops below + 20 ° C (in summer it is + 35 ° C), and it rains only 12 days a year. The beaches stretch from the Jordanian border in the northeast to the Egyptian border in the southwest. This resort section is divided into two parts - North Shore and Coral Beach. On the first - pebble and sandy beaches, well, the name of the second one speaks for itself. The North Shore is dominated by luxury hotels, while Coral Beach specializes in diving and snorkeling.

    Dolphin reef

Dolphin Reef is a protected area where you can literally get to know dolphins and their habitats better (official site). In the 1990s. a group of businessmen fenced off a small section of the lagoon with nets and launched several Black Sea bottlenose dolphins into the water area. Since then, the number of dolphins has increased, and the reserve has become not only a popular tourist attraction with the functions of a reserve, but also an excellent recreation area. Entrance to the beach costs 67 ILS, children 46 ILS. The price includes the use of the beach infrastructure. 1 hour of snorkeling with dolphins will cost 290 ILS, diving - 339 ILS. The prices on the page are for November 2018.

    Coral reef

The Coral Reef Beach also has a conservation function. The name speaks for itself - along the coast there is a kilometer-long coral reef with a rich underwater world. There are rental offices and dive schools on the territory, a sufficient number of umbrellas, sun beds, changing rooms, toilets. There are several cafes. Entrance: 35 ILS.

    Migdalor

Migdalor Beach is located in the very south of the country, near the border with Egypt. It got its name in honor of the lighthouse opposite. It is a very quiet and peaceful place and unlike the Dolphin and Coral Reefs there are no lifeguards. But there is all the necessary infrastructure: sun loungers, chairs, umbrellas, changing rooms, toilets and showers. Renting a sun lounger costs 12 ILS, a chair - 6 ILS per day. There is an inexpensive café-bar on the beach, which at the same time serves as a rental center for snorkeling equipment. The coral reef comes very close to the shore, so a snorkel and a mask are enough to explore.

    Hanania

The sandy beach of Hanania is one of the most popular in Eilat (official site in English). The secret of its success is its cleanliness, developed infrastructure and affordable cost of renting beach accessories - 20 ILS per sun lounger (one drink from the bar is included in the price). The beach is free and is located in the very center of the city, so it is always crowded here. Hanania specializes in water activities - you can rent kayaks, catamarans, inflatable boat, water skiing. Pleasure boats leave the pier regularly. You can take children here, but, perhaps, they will not be very comfortable: it is noisy and the proximity to the embankment leaves its dirty imprint.

    Princesses

Princess Beach is located at the hotel of the same name near the border with Egypt (29.501118, 34.916175). There are never many sunbathers here, but there are plenty of snorkelers - there is a coral reef nearby at a shallow depth. The coast is rocky, with an inconvenient descent, so it is better to choose another place for families with small children. It is better to enter (or rather, dive) into the water from the footbridges that go 25 m into the sea. Amenities include a toilet, a shower, and a rental point for swimming equipment. There are restaurants and souvenir shops. Admission to the beach is free, sun lounger rental will cost 15 ILS.

I would like to inform for those interested - there is no nudist beach in Eilat

The beaches of Eilat will be the topic of this review.

The 12-kilometer strip of Israel's Red Sea coastline is squeezed on both sides by the borders of Egypt and Jordan. But even such a small territory does not prevent Eilat from receiving millions of tourists every year. The secret of such great popularity lies in the inexhaustible variety coastal zone... If its northern part is literally teeming with hotels and embankments, then in the south there is silence and smoothness - expanse for diving lovers. let's consider coastline Eilat closer.

As already mentioned, the northern part of the coast is rich in luxury hotels, restaurants and boardwalks. Closest to the Jordanian border is the religious "Hof HaDatiim", divided into two parts - "girls to the right, boys to the left." This is followed by the banal hotel beaches "Hof Mifratz Hashemesh", "Hof Dan", "Hof HaZahav", "Hof Royal Beach", "Mika Beach", "Hof Rimonim" and "Avenue Beach". If the sea, sun, sand and walking distance from the hotel are "your everything", then - you are welcome!

The rest are marching along the coast towards Egypt. There are three more beaches within the borders of Eilat - "Hof Hevrat ha-Hashmal", "Hof ha-Dekel" and "Hof Mosh". Clean, convenient, free, but without a twist. So let's move on.

To the south of the city lies the charming Dolphin Reef beach. Paphos and glamor in all its splendor. Here you will find thickets of tropical greenery, exotic birds, the purest sand and, most importantly, swimming with dolphins, both at the surface and at depth with scuba diving. But there is only a small patch of open water for swimming near the shore.

Four kilometers to the south is the protected beach "Hof Almogim" with picturesque coral reefs and the opportunity to swim among colorful schools of fish, sea urchins, turtles and even octopuses. Incredible beauty! Nearby there is a unique underwater observatory, a visit to which is included in the mandatory program of your stay in Eilat. Don't be late - the aquarium closes at 16:00 and the beach closes at 18:00. At this time, you can move to the nearby free Hof HaVilage or Hof Mykonos and have a great evening at the bar or in a Greek restaurant with live music.

Just 1200 meters south, we are waiting for the winner of our rating - the beach "Hof Migdalor", which got its name from the lighthouse located here. The azure expanse of the sea, which is not inferior to the reserve in terms of saturation with corals and fish, clean sand, umbrellas and sun loungers, the possibility of renting diving equipment, a cafe, and most importantly - round the clock and free admission. A dream, not a coast!

And the last beach, after which "even a flood" is "Hof Ha-Nasikha" at the very border with Egypt. Here you can also swim, admire the corals that start right from the coast, sit with a cocktail at the bar. However, the bars here close at 6 pm, and the beach itself in 2016 was recognized as the third most polluted in Israel.

Concluding the review, I would like to inform you for those interested - there is no nudist beach in Eilat. However, if anyone wishes, he can make up for this omission on his own. No one will stop you from undressing. Well, except for the police officers.
