  • The business class salon accommodates 12 seats in a 2x2 layout.
  • The economy class cabin has 75 seats in a 2x3 scheme.

Seat map Sukhoi SuperJet-100-95B

Business class salon

Business class occupies the first three rows of the Superjet cabin.
Number of seats: 12 pcs.
Chair step: 90 cm.
Width: 46 cm.
The seats are arranged in two in a row.

The advantages of flying in this class are obvious, despite all its simplicity, in comparison with the Boeing 777-300, for example.
This is a large distance between the chairs, more delicious food in a large assortment, a private dressing room.
The business class is separated from the economic class by a soft partition, popularly called a curtain.

Despite the small number of business class aisles, there are better seats and not so good ones.
The first row of business class is preferable to others - there will be no forward-facing chair in front of you and no one will recline the back, violating personal space.

The third row is slightly worse due to the soft interior divider. The curtain does not damp noise from the economic compartment of the passenger compartment.
Carrycot mounts in all first row seats.

Economy class

On the SSJ-100 cabin layout, economy class is located from 6 to 20 rows.
Layout: 2x3.
Number of seats: 75
Chair spacing: 75 - 80 cm.
Width: 46 cm.

The economy class cabin, according to the passenger seat scheme, is located from rows 6 to 20.

6 row... The seats in it are considered to be Space + seats of increased comfort, with increased legroom. Registration fees may apply.

But there are also disadvantages. Just behind you will be the leading edge of the engine wing. Increased noise is possible during takeoff and landing.

The best seats on the Superjet-100 are considered in front of the cabin, in the forefront. Two toilets in Sukhoi are located at the tail of the aircraft. And the closer you get to it, the more likely it is to bustle around your chairs from those wishing to visit the restrooms.

The aisle is narrow. When choosing aisle seats, you run the risk of being repeatedly hit by passengers walking through the cabin.
Rows 7 through 13 are above the wing. The chairs have a standard pitch.

In addition to the disadvantages in the absence of a landscape outside the window, there are also advantages - the wing closes the engine, respectively, there is less noise in these rows.

In Russia, as usual, they want the best, but it turns out, as always ...
This age-old problem even touched the name of the aircraft and some people cannot understand - are the RRJ and SSJ the same thing or are they completely different aircraft?
Evgeny Kovalenko answered this question as well.

blackpost -…. Very strange you identify RRJ95 and SSJ-100. Apparently you are not familiar with the history of the project?

Kovalenko's answer

Yes, I forgot that these are two different projects for you. We'll have to explain.

From the very beginning, the project had the working title RRJ (Russian Regional Jet). This was the name of a family of three aircraft: RRJ-60, RRJ-75 and RRJ-95, which differed in fuselage length, capacity, take-off weight (and, accordingly, other weights), as well as different settings of the same engine.

All working documentation, including 3D models, was released under the same name. Under the same name, it was launched into production, and even earlier, under the same name, an application was submitted to the AR IAC for certification.

Somewhere in the year 2006 (I may be wrong about the exact date) a competition for the commercial name of the aircraft was announced in the SCAC. Not a single proposal was accepted (obviously, we did not have enough imagination for this), after which a third-party organization was involved in this process, which proposed the abbreviation SSJ100 (Sukhoi Superjet 100) (respectively, the modifications should have been designated as SSJ100-95, SSJ100- 75, etc.). To me personally, and to many of my colleagues, it seemed too grandiloquent and even defiant. But the decision was made by others ...

This is how the name SSJ came about, although I repeat, working documents continued to be released as RRJ.
Over time, in various organizational documents they began to write SSJ, and in parentheses they put RRJ. It then passed on to various technical papers. In the AR IAC-e, documents began to appear with one or another name. So I had to issue an order and thereby notify the AR IAC, factories and suppliers that these two combinations are synonyms. Otherwise, all working documentation would have to be reissued.

Answer

Yes, and Wikipedia itself says that

Sukhoi Superjet 100 (abbreviated SSJ 100, the certification name of the RRJ aircraft family - Russian Regional Jet) ...

Moreover, the certificates really indicate the type of aircraft RRJ-95. As in the Airplane Flight Manual - moreover, it specifies the RRJ-95B specifically.

On the aforementioned Wikipedia, there is the next "crossed" designation option - Superjet 100 / 95B.

The state order allowed the development and construction of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 short-haul aircraft. This is the first Russian aircraft project in which foreign investors and partners participated.

In 2011, commercial use of SSJ began. Aeroflot is the main customer of this model and already has 42 copies (the option is 10).

The company was formed in 1923 in the Soviet Union and was state-owned. After the collapse of the USSR, it was partially privatized, a controlling stake in the state.

The world's most experienced air carrier serves domestic and international routes. The air fleet is deployed at the Sheremetyevo airport. Aeroflot is the parent company of the holding under the same name. Aeroflot Group unites carriers under its command: Pobeda, Aurora and Russia.

Aeroflot several times received the title of the best airline in Eastern Europe (according to the results of voting by passengers from different countries). The ground and air level of service is noted, as well as the punctuality of the carrier.

A total of 230 airliners of various brands are used in the air fleet, Aeroflot, following tradition, purchases only new aircraft. This makes the reputation reliable and increases passenger traffic.

Seat layout

The basic layout of Aeroflot's SSJ-100 aircraft includes 87 passenger seats (12 in business class and 75 in economy class).

When planning a trip on a Sukhoi Superjet 100-95V aircraft, you should familiarize yourself with the location of the seats in the cabin.

The passenger compartment consists of two comfort classes.

The business salon includes the first three rows. Chairs are 2-2. The best seats in this class are seats in the 2nd and 3rd rows. A partition is close in front of the first seats, there is less legroom and the effect of a closed space is created.

The screen between the classrooms is rather thin, so the sounds of the adjacent cabin are clearly audible.

In general, the passage is wider, and the seats are softer and more spacious.

The economic salon has one aisle, the seats are arranged in a 2-3 pattern. Folding tables are built into each backrest, and there is a pocket for newspapers and magazines.

Five 6-row seats A, C, D, E, F are considered the best seats. Unlike the previous class, the partition wall is farther from the seats, this is reflected in the ability to stretch your legs. Moreover, the bathrooms are located at the other end of the salon.

From 7 to 19 row. Standard seats, no differences in convenience. I can only add that double seats are better than seats on the other side of the aisle. It is more convenient to travel together on the left side in the direction of the flight.

20 row. Unfavorable places, like on any plane. Affected by the proximity to toilets, kitchen. There is a constant circulation of passengers, it will not be possible to rest quietly.

The downside of the last row is the locked backrests. And the passenger sitting in seat D (row 20) has the most disadvantageous location. Behind it is the kitchen, and stewardesses are carrying carts of drinks and food.

How Superjet 100 was created

In the middle of the 2000s, the development of the aircraft was completed at the Sukhoi Design Bureau, and the first copy was assembled (2007). During the tests, it showed excellent results. A year later, the prototype made its debut flight.

2009 was marked by the presentation of the domestic car at the Paris Air Show.

Foreign companies took part in the creation of the SSJ-100, performing various components.

An Armenian airline became the first commercial charterer in 2011. A total of 158 aircraft were produced in several modifications. The construction of the aircraft continues in the Khabarovsk Territory.

Aeroflot holding became the main purchaser supporting the domestic aircraft production.

Features, benefits and challenges

The aircraft is equipped with two Russian-French SaM146 engines. This is a low-wing aircraft with a normal aerodynamic configuration. Modern industrial alloys and materials were used in the construction of the aircraft. Thus, composites have been used in the construction of the wing and fairings. Protection against touching the runway during takeoff has been implemented.

The Superjet 100 was the first Russian passenger aircraft to be equipped with a side control stick instead of a steering wheel. During the development, the wishes of potential customers were taken into account, specific design tasks were solved.

Attractive for jet operators are:

  • Compliance with international standards
  • The ability to land at any airfield, regardless of the weather
  • Modern electronic flight control system
  • Aerodynamic, weight and economic efficiency
  • Increased range on selected family models

The domestic aircraft is designed for both short-haul routes and medium-haul lines. A multi-component safety system makes the car reliable (an unprecedented 98% in 2017).

The production cost of the airliner is relatively low, which makes it competitive among aircraft in its segment.

The safe flights that the Sukhoi superjet 100 guarantees make up for some minor problems. Among them, there are mainly domestic discontent: a certain noise, a narrow passage. Structural flaws discovered during operation were eliminated in the first years of flights.

SuperJet 100 family models

  1. Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 is the base aircraft of the family
  2. The Sukhoi Superjet 100LR variant has a long range and takeoff weight. Has been flying since 2013.
  3. Development of the Sukhoi SuperJet-100-95SV began in 2015, assuming an elongated fuselage to ensure capacity.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 is the result of long years of progress in the Russian aircraft industry. This is an achievement of the aviation industry that everyone can be proud of. Travel lovers now have the opportunity to cover distances on a domestic short-haul liner. It runs only on relatively close routes, but the developers provide for a flight of more than 4,000 kilometers. Find out more in this article about how the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating a passenger aircraft by Sukhoi was born, how many stages of production the aircraft had to go through, how comfortable the flight conditions were, and many other aspects of operation.

What an airliner is capable of

A modern aircraft product has marked a new era of production in Russia. There was a huge impetus in the development of this area thanks to the new product. Sukhoi Superjet 100 has taken over the regional aircraft segment in the global market. It can be described as an economical, environmentally friendly, passenger-friendly and crew-friendly 100-seat aircraft.

The maximum speed of the aircraft can reach 860 km / h. It covers a given distance at an altitude of about 12,000 meters. The flight range that this airliner can handle is from 3000 to 4500 km. It also has two powerful SaM 146 turbofan engines built into it. This model is made to carry a small number of passengers, its standard layout is 98 seats. The prospects for the further distribution of our aircraft throughout the world are quite optimistic, since they are competitive and in demand.

Project development history

The prerequisites for creating our own short-haul liner in Russia arose at the end of the last century. The largest aircraft construction companies Boeing and Airbus have taken over the market segment for the creation of ships with a capacity of more than 150 passengers. It was necessary to create such a project that would be modern, of high quality, and would provide transport for short flights. It was the process of creating the Sukhoi Superjet Su 100-95B aircraft.

In the early 2000s, Brazilian and Canadian liners appeared in this niche, but Sukhoi still had advantages that qualitatively distinguished it from competitors' products. Analysts have come to the conclusion that these companies will not be able to provide the airlines' requests on their own. Demand significantly exceeded supply.

The Russian aircraft industry found itself in a crisis situation, it only set off the former successes of the Soviet Union. The Tupolev and Yak-42 aircrafts were at one time masterpieces of engineering, but at the beginning of the 21st century they ceased to meet European standards. The noise level of these models has forced Russian airlines to urgently renew their fleet in order to continue to be active and provide air transportation. This restriction was introduced in 2002 by the European Union. Among other things, the high fuel consumption of older aircraft provoked higher costs, which made Boeing and Airbus the only option. Intensive purchases of used imported aircraft began.

How aircraft are produced in the Russian Federation

2000 - the official date of foundation of the closed joint stock company "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft". Despite the fact that initially this company was engaged in the creation of only military aircraft, in a market economy, it became expedient to expand production. The original name of the development of the passenger aircraft is Russian Regional Jet. A step towards the evolution of aircraft construction in Russia was the fact that the SCAC decided to involve foreign ideas, developments and significant details in the process of creating its flagship. Boeing took over the project consulting.

In 2003, an agreement was signed with the French companies Snecma and PowerJet for the joint creation of engines for the future aircraft with NPO Saturn. Development took longer than anticipated, and tests planned for 2005 were postponed indefinitely. But already in the same 2005, Financial Leasing Company made a preliminary order for the Sukhoi Superjet 100 in the amount of 10 aircraft, and Aeroflot for as much as 30.

The state was also actively involved in financing the project. It was included in the federal target program "Development of civil aviation technology in Russia for 2002-2010 and for the period until 2015". These investments amounted to about 8 billion rubles. Thanks to these funds, the assembly of the liner began in Komsomolsk-on-Amur at the Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin (KnAAPO).

Flight technical features of the aircraft

The Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 with basic equipment can accommodate 98 people. Passenger capacity varies from 98 to 108 seats. The aircraft is 30 meters long and has a wingspan of 27.8 meters. The maximum possible distance for which it is designed is from 3000 to 4500 kilometers (depending on the model). The speed category of the aircraft is as follows: the cruising speed of the vessel is 830 km / h, and the maximum permissible speed is 860 km / h, which is a high indicator. This aircraft is not capable of accepting any airport in the Russian Federation, only about 60% meet all the requirements for the runway and functional capabilities.

The first flight

The test flight of the Sukhoi Superjet 100-95 was carried out on May 19, 2008. This happened in the city where its main assembly was carried out - in the sky over Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The test was completed successfully, which allowed for international certification and improvement of the vessel.

Cooperation with Aeroflot

Aeroflot is the largest customer for SSJ 100 aircraft. The prospect of a long-term relationship was laid down in 2005 when a lease was signed. The first use of the Sukhoi Superjet 100-95LR by Aeroflot took place on June 16, 2011. The flight took place from the Moscow airport to St. Petersburg.

As for the design features for Aeroflot of the Sukhoi Superjet 100, the photo reflects the company's logo.

The company receives cars at a much lower cost than other partners. Therefore, Aeroflot also receives considerable risks when putting into operation domestic aircraft. So, at the initial stages, their cooperation turned out to be unprofitable for Sukhoi Civil Aircraft. The first ten were purchased at a cost below the catalog value - $ 19 million each against $ 24. Their further activities have already moved to the stage of production payback.

Sukhoi Superjet 100: salon

The number of seats and variations in their location in the airliner differ depending on the model. Thus, the Sukhoi Superjet SU 100-95 has two main cabin modifications - AA and AF. But both models are divided into comfort classes - "business" and "economy".

The first rows of seats from 1 to 3 are business class seats. Seats marked A, C, D, F are considered the least comfortable because of the delimitation of the passenger area with a toilet. There is less space in front of them due to this baffle. In general, the business class is equipped with the best seats, conditions of stay and food.

All other rows have more economical conditions. In the 6th row, places A, C, D, E, F can be given special attention, since they are located closer to the nose of the aircraft, where the restroom is located, and have a lot of space in front.

Fundamentally, the equipment of the models differs in the very last, 20th row. In the AA version, the rear seats do not recline, which will create additional discomfort for the passenger. Also, the proximity to the bathroom leads to frequent walking of other passengers past these places, and possibly even the formation of a small queue. And in the AF model, the developers took care of improving the conditions. The distance to the restrooms has been increased, it is possible to fold out the seat, but still these are not the best seats on the plane.

Choosing the best place

On the website of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliner manufacturer, the best seats are clearly shown in the cabin plan. How to choose the best place to fly? It is located in business class, but this ticket is more expensive. Therefore, to make travel with savings as comfortable as possible, follow these principles:

  1. Check out the layout of the passenger compartment.
  2. If you are not sure which configuration of the aircraft you will fly, then choose the 20th row only if there are no other seats at all.
  3. Avoid places in the tail of the car, as this is where the turbulence is felt most strongly.
  4. It is better to choose a seat away from the restroom and technical areas, as there you can be haunted by unpleasant sounds or smells.
  5. It is important that the seat backs are fully reclined so that they do not interfere with healthy sleep during the trip.
  6. In case of difficulties with an independent choice, qualified employees of the airline will be able to help you book a seat.

Achievements of the company

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft was presented in 2007. However, there was a delay in deliveries due to difficulties in the production process. The ships took longer than planned. Despite this, the production rate was planned to be increased to 6 liners per month. In 2010, the number of finished products was 50 units. In 2011, less than expected was produced - 2-3 aircraft per month. Delays in deliveries triggered a churn of customers, but the main customers continued to work closely with the company.

The first important document for the company was received in 2010 - the IAC certificate, and in 2012 even the EASA certificate. This made it possible to confidently enter the short-haul airliners market in accordance with European quality standards. So, the production of the liner is characterized by high manufacturability and the introduction of the latest developments. The number of foreign components for it has dropped from 80% to 50%, and this is a huge success.

Project criticism

As many critics considered, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 project won the state tender for a reason at the initial stage. The Tu-334 competed with it, which, in their opinion, was better adapted to the poor conditions at Russian airports. In Tupolev, the engines are located in the tail of the ship, while in SSJ they are installed very low - under the wings of the liner. The control of a Tupolev aircraft is also more familiar to Russian crews. However, the SCAC project received funding, and this contributed to its successful implementation.

Also, some argue that the SSJ has a superficial resemblance to the German Fairchild aircraft. This is speculation, the designers themselves completely denied this connection.

Sukhoi Superjet 100: reviews of pilots and passengers

Pilots and passengers praise the liner. The ship is simple and obedient in handling, has a high rate of climb, as the pilots themselves note. And travelers on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 like comfortable seats, wide aisles and distances between seats, spacious luggage racks. For airlines, the plane is beneficial in terms of fuel consumption.

The Russian airline Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, together with foreign companies, has developed a modern short-haul passenger airliner - Sukhoi Superjet 100 (Sukhoi Superjet or SSJ).

It is worth noting that this aircraft model has received EASA - an international certificate that confirms the use of this airliner by all airlines of the world and Europe, which recognize EASA principles as a standard.

Also SSJ 100-95B is the first passenger aircraft in Russia that meets all European requirements for noise level.

Aeroflot is the main consumer of this model airliners. The airline operates 10 different Sukhoi Superjet models on its routes, out of 22 in existence today.

To begin with, let's take a look at the configuration of the Sukhoi Superjet 100-95V airliner and note both the best and worst seats on the plane.

The first three rows seats are located in business class. All seats are quite comfortable, with the exception of seats A, C and F, D in the first row.
There is a partition in front of the 1st row, because of which there is slightly less legroom than in the other rows of the same class.

Seats 6 to 20 row are economy class seats. Seats A, C, D, E, F of the sixth row are the most comfortable and comfortable in their class. The listed seats have earned the title of the best economy class seats due to the free space in front of the seats and the most convenient location.

The places of the last row ( 20th row) should be given special attention. It is in this part of the aircraft that the differences between the complete sets of the AA and AF airliners are observed.

In configuration AA behind 20, closets and technical rooms are located nearby, so the seats of this row either do not recline at all, or their folding function is very limited. In addition, people will constantly walk near the toilets, and sometimes a line of them will form. These places can be called inconvenient.

In configuration AF - the distance from the last row to the bathrooms is slightly increased. In addition, row 20 seats are absolutely indistinguishable from other economy class seats. Although, walking past you will not stop.

Note: If you are not sure which aircraft you will fly, select the last row only if there are no other options.

  • Check out the required aircraft configuration on the Aeroflot website;
  • Choose good places for yourself, taking into account the above recommendations;
  • If you have any difficulties in choosing tickets, seek advice from qualified representatives of the company.
