But in the end, you will live exclusively with your company in one room, have your own bathroom at your disposal, do not worry about the safety of things and not be afraid to interfere with your fellow travelers. And an empty bed can be used ... well, for example, as a table :) As a result, the hostel will no longer be a hostel for you, but a real hotel room, albeit modest :)
3. Where to eat inexpensively in Amsterdam?
It is certainly impossible to cook your own food in such conditions, and eating in cafes and restaurants in Amsterdam is quite expensive. But there are alternatives. It's not even about bored McDonald's, Burger Kings, Subway, etc., the food in which will get bored in a few days, but about something more interesting. Local fast food is well developed in Amsterdam.

The FEBO supermarket chain - in fact, offers ordinary hamburgers and similar fast food, only in a very unusual way. All food is stored here in special automatic heated cells. Oud West is bordered by the Canal Ring and the Museum Quarter, surrounded by restaurants, concept stores and boutiques. Furniture is sold on the main street Overtoom. We lived in a typical Amsterdam apartment on Derde Helmersstraat with a high staircase and a balcony. Aud West is easily accessible by direct bus from Schiphol Airport (Leidseplein stop).

Westerpark
Westerpark is located west of the Jordan quarter. This is a relatively new area, built in the late 19th century for railway and port workers. In recent years, Westerpark has developed into a cultural center with clubs, galleries, cinemas, festivals and sports events.
The Conscious Hotel Westerpark is housed in a monumental building in the Westerpark and offers bike rental.

Other areas of Amsterdam are not very interesting for tourists due to their remoteness from the center or unfavorable surroundings:
- West and East (Oost) populated by migrants
- North (Noord) isolated from the center, you can get to the opposite side by free ferries or through an underground tunnel
- South (Zuid) a more attractive area to live in compared to them. Amstel station is a transport hub, from where metro, trains and buses run
For getting around the city, buy the I Amsterdam City Card, which includes public transport and Amsterdam's museums.
