Where can you see the scarlet sails. "Scarlet sails" with a golden tint: Who and how makes money at the main graduation of the country. Bridges and embankments

Holiday " Scarlet Sails"Symbolizes the hope that is placed on promising and talented youth, including graduates, on whom the future of not only Petersburgers, but the entire country depends. This year the motto of the holiday is “Together with Russia”. This slogan has a deep meaning - it is the graduates who will have to build the future of our Motherland.

The presenters will be Ivan Urgant and Daria Alexandrova. The following will perform at the holiday:

  • Marcus Riva
  • 2 MACHINES
  • #Lera
  • Vladimir Presnyakov
  • BURITO
  • Julia Parshuta
  • Marseilles
  • Sergey Lazarev
  • Polina Gagarina

A completely new program of the pyrotechnic show will be presented this year. Guests of St. Petersburg will see a truly enchanting spectacle, the most beautiful in their lives. Nine towers will be constructed on Troitsky Bridge, four of which are 33 meters long. In addition, 13 pyrotechnic structures will be installed on pontoons in the water area of the Neva. A sailboat under scarlet sails, music and colorful play of all colors of the rainbow will create a spectacle of stunning beauty.

A premiere awaits the guests of the holiday - this year the Scarlet Sails 2019 show will be presented by a new sailing ship created in Russia and specially for this holiday. He arrived from Kronstadt and is located on the embankment of Lieutenant Schmidt, his name is "Russia".

The basis of the future sailing vessel was the hull of a former fishing seiner. In order for the brig to match the sailing ships of the 19th century, specialists almost completely overhauled the hull. When creating the ship, the ancient methods of shipbuilding were taken into account, and also modern technologies... The length of the sailboat is 50 meters, the width is 7.6 meters, and the draft is 3.5 meters. Main engine power - 610 h.p. The size of the scarlet sails is 900 sq. meters. In the open sea, the brig can move at a speed of 16 knots per hour (about 30 km per hour), which is the maximum indicator for this class of ships.

It is assumed that the Scarlet Sails holiday will bring together more than 33,000 graduates of St. Petersburg schools and more than 1.5 million citizens and guests of St. Petersburg.

For the first time, the Scarlet Sails holiday in St. Petersburg was celebrated in 1968 and celebrated for 10 years until 1979. Again this significant day began to be celebrated in 2005. It is held on the weekend closest to the longest day of the June white night.

Events in the holiday "Scarlet Sails" of St. Petersburg

Now "Scarlet Sails" is an international show that attracts more and more spectators from year to year.

Graduates of St. Petersburg schools receive 2 invitation cards - for themselves and for their friend. The celebration usually takes place at 2 sites - on the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island and on Palace Square, where large screens are installed and a teleconference is organized between the sites. The entrance to the Palace Square is by invitation cards. Everyone is usually present at the Spit of Vasilievsky Island. On the night of the event, traffic along the Neva stops.

The Governor of St. Petersburg addresses the graduates with parting words. The motto of the holiday is “Russia - the country of opportunities”. Its symbol is Dunaevsky's overture to the film "Children of Captain Grant".

Then a concert is held on Palace Square, in the program of which famous artists take part, and Ivan Urgant has been one of the presenters for several years in a row. Many guests also watch the concert on the Spit of Vasilievsky Island.

The culmination is a spectacular lighting show accompanied by colorful fireworks and live sounds of a symphony orchestra in the water area of the Neva between Troitsky, Palace and Exchange bridges. To the music of Dunaevsky for the film "Children of Captain Grant", a ship with scarlet sails appears from the side of the Troitsky bridge.

After the colorful show, concerts continue, in which youth groups take part.

Unfortunately, in the morning, the places where the celebrations are held are strewn with rubbish and the lawns are trampled. Strongly drunk young people are walking along the streets. Sometimes there are fights. In this regard, proposals are being discussed to limit the sale of alcohol stronger than 15 degrees on the eve and on the day of the holiday. But it is remarkable that only a small part of young people celebrate the holiday so vigorously.

The "Scarlet Sails" holiday in St. Petersburg instills confidence in graduates in a bright future. The organizers try to make the event interesting not only for young people, but also for older people.

How did the "Scarlet Sails" holiday appear in St. Petersburg

Then, in 1968, the director of the City Palace of Pioneers was instructed by the city leadership to organize a city-wide holiday of graduates. Since the guys always walked along the embankments of the Neva after receiving their certificates, the embankment from the Bronze Horseman to the Summer Garden was chosen as the venue.

The first part of the event included concerts and competitions on the embankments of St. Petersburg. Every 100 meters, venues were organized where artists performed and competitions were held. For winning the competition, schoolchildren were awarded a trip around the city at night or a walk on river tram along the Neva. At that time, all graduates wanted to win such a prize, and therefore they were happy to participate in funny competitions.

For example, there were scales and a height meter on the site, and the children were asked to guess whether the weight of all the graduates of the class would be up to a ton, and their height - up to 1 km. And on one site there was a 3-liter jar with nuts and you had to guess how many nuts there were.

The guys took part in a dance competition and performed songs to the accordion or accordion. The song had to be sung to the end. They usually started amicably, and the class who knew the words of the song completely won.

Everyone understood that the name of the celebration should be associated with water and at the beginning, except for the name associated with water - Aurora, they could not come up with anything. The idea to name the holiday "Scarlet Sails" was accepted with enthusiasm.

Directly solemn events began at 23 o'clock. A boat departed from the Peter and Paul Fortress, on which a guy and a girl stood with a burning torch in their hands. The boat was moving towards the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island. The torch was passed on to the cadets who stood at the Rostral columns, who lit torches on the columns and announced the opening of the holiday.

Then, from behind the Kirovsky bridge, a sailboat with scarlet sails appeared on the surface of the Neva, on which Assol was standing. The spectacle was unusually beautiful and short-lived. Unfortunately, only those who stood in the front rows on the embankment could see it. That year, the holiday, which was attended by 25 thousand people, lasted until 2 am and was remembered by all participants as a bright and kind event.

“Scarlet Sails” is undoubtedly a beautiful and spectacular phenomenon, and, perhaps, having looked at it ten years ago, right now you will experience a keen desire to renew your impressions. TV is not the best assistant in this matter. With my own eyes - it is somehow more interesting. But if your age no longer allows you to suspect you of an average graduate, then you most likely do not want to wield your elbows in a crowd of thirsty spectacles. On the roof and jet ski, too, you are unlikely to climb, although this is also offered. the site decided to figure out whether it is possible to look at this annual phenomenon with comfort, if you have already achieved something in life and can afford something more expensive than fake invitations to Palace Square.

Rent hotel room overlooking the Neva. The Saint Petersburg Hotel, located on Pirogovskaya Embankment, could be perfect for this. But the option is so obvious that the hotel has not left for a long time. free places... It was necessary to book rooms at least a month or two in advance. But there is still an opportunity to book a table in the panoramic restaurant "Bering", located in this hotel. The restaurant says that this can be done without prepayment, however, if the company is not very large. But the perfect view from the restaurant window is not guaranteed for the show.

Since it didn't work out with the hotel, we decided to move to the Palace Embankment, there are plenty of buildings there, for sure it will be possible to agree with someone to admire the fireworks and a boat with bright sails passing along the Neva for a moderate (or not so) fee.

Perhaps the first thing that the gaze of even a person who knows almost nothing about St. Petersburg (for example, who has just arrived in the city to admire the White Nights and "Scarlet Sails") could catch the eye is, of course, the Hermitage. From there, looking at "Scarlet Sails" is the sweetest thing to do. But, unfortunately, it closes at 18:00 - period. Organization of an evening visit or night excursion impossible. At least that's what they told us on the phone. Perhaps someone you know has other acquaintances who know someone who has other information. We don’t want to hint at anything, but we have to state: the night watchmen (or what are they called? Caretakers?) In the Hermitage can boast of the most magnificent view of the Scarlet Sails.

The next quite pleasant place for viewing could be a restaurant in the Palace of the Grand Duke Vladimir, on Dvortsovaya Embankment, 26. But it has already been fully booked for the duration of the "Scarlet Sails". They say on the phone: there are no places for any money.

The House of Scientists is also located at the same address. Russian Academy sciences, but its premises also cannot be rented in order to quietly observe what is happening in the water area of the Neva. Again, we are not hinting at anything, but becoming a scientist for one night would be the very thing.

The premises of the neighboring building LLC "Your address" is trying to sell for offices, but for some reason they are not ready to rent empty rooms just for one night.

The Taiga art space is located at 20 Dvortsovaya Embankment. Many creative shops, workshops and even the studio of one radio station have found refuge there. Surely one of them will not mind renting out a room that is not used at night. It turns out that this is also impossible: for the duration of the "Scarlet Sails" all premises - according to a separate clause in the contract - are occupied by the owners of the building. With them, they say, and talk.

The premises of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, located in houses No. 18 and No. 8 on the Palace Embankment, are also not rented out even to very wealthy people. Maybe it's for the best.

Trying to find a suitable apartment in residential buildings Dvortsovaya embankment, we contacted several agencies dealing with daily rent apartments. There they threw up their hands and answered: "To the" Scarlet Sails "- nothing." If we had attended a little earlier, the choice of apartments with windows on the Neva would have been quite wide.

The buildings at the very beginning of the embankment are occupied by the St. Petersburg Institute of Culture and Arts. the site also asked its representatives a question about the possibility of renting premises. It turned out that everything is possible, but only purely in theory. The process of agreeing on a lease usually takes about six months, that is, it was worth taking care of this issue somewhere in December.

One could sit down somewhere near the Peter and Paul Fortress, for example, in "Koryushka" - there is both view and comfort, but on June 20 the restaurant does not work, as the administrator "for safety measures" politely informs by phone. But you can try to take a seat in the "Eurasia" on the Makarov embankment, however, reservations for tables during the "Scarlet Sails" are not available. But the establishment itself works, and if you somehow manage to cope with the others who want to watch the show, you can take your place.

Not much less pretentious than the Hermitage and Petropavlovka, the building of the Stock Exchange on the arrow of V.O. is also not an easy option. Technically, the Exchange is now empty, and there should be only one watchman. But at least you can ask, of course.

Since it is not so easy to calmly watch the scarlet sails and fireworks from the land, it seems that the last option remains - to watch from the water. This is also not an easy task: the water area of the Neva is closed for the duration of the holiday of graduates. But companies specializing in the rental of water transport claim that the show can be seen from the side of Smolnaya Embankment, where the ship can approach. To do this, you can pay for a two-hour boat trip, which will cost 2.5 thousand rubles per person. True, the ship will have to be shared with others who want to see what is happening and hope that these will not be the same cheerful graduates.

Those who find this option not perfect enough will still be able to rent a whole motor ship at a price of 7 thousand rubles per hour (however, they will give it at least 4 hours) or even a yacht for thirty thousand per hour (with the same minimum period lease). True, the employees of the companies that rent out yachts and boats are hinting in every possible way that someone else can take the transport at any moment and we must hurry. Either the boats are really running out, or experienced sales specialists are trying to persuade the client to make a decision as soon as possible.

But for those who suffer from a surplus of money and do not like water, there is another bad news: you will not be able to watch the "Scarlet Sails" from a bird's eye view, comfortably sitting in the helicopter cockpit. The reason for this will be the St. Petersburg Economic Forum coinciding with the holiday of graduates, during which air space over the city is closed.

It turns out that those who remembered the existence of the holiday only now, regardless of their financial capabilities, do not have many options. In any case, you will either have to push on the waterfront, or fight for a place in one of the few restaurants still available for booking, or watch what is happening from the water. Or maybe it’s better to wait until next year and even then, from December, start negotiating the lease of premises on the Palace Embankment.

V the night from 23 to 24 June will host the main St. Petersburg summer show - "Scarlet Sails - 2018".
Scarlet sails - our main "corporate" city St. Petersburg holiday, a kind of St. Petersburg summer New Year.

For the first time, the Scarlet Sails holiday in St. Petersburg was celebrated in 1968 and celebrated for 10 years until 1979. Then BFL took a break and began to celebrate it again in 2005. It is held on the weekend closest to the longest day of the June white night.

This year the holiday turns 50, which is why all viewers should expect a show that has never happened before. The city authorities assume that about 80 thousand graduates (former schoolchildren) alone will take to the streets and embankments of the city.

The Scarlet Sails Festival starts at 22:00. By tradition, the main venues for the event will be Palace Square and the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island. One of the symbols of the holiday of graduates is traditionally, which can always be considered as a transition from school life to adulthood, from the past to the future.

An unusual stage will be erected next to the General Staff building. From 20:00 to 22:00, graduates and their guests will gather at Palace Square, and the rest of the audience - at the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island. This year, access to the Palace Bridge will be open. But it is better to take places there in advance - most likely a few hours in advance.

The program will start at 22:00 with a theatrical prologue on Palace Square, and already at 22:20, concerts will begin at both venues. The concert has been hosted by Ivan Urgant for several years. His colleagues in different years there were Yulia Kovalchuk, Yana Churikova, Alexander Gudkov, Alla Mikheeva, Olga Shelest, and in the last two years this honor has been given to the showman by the journalist of the Fifth TV channel Daria Alexandrova. All in all, 350 people will perform on the stage during the evening.

The headliner of the concert is one of the leaders of the rap movement, the Basta group. In addition, Ukrainian singer Alekseev and Russian rapper ST (Alexander Stepanov), Alsou and Marie Kraimbreri, Artyom Pivovarov and Victoria Daineko, Moya Michelle and Quest Pistols Show will perform on Palace Square.

At 00:40 the audience will see a mesmerizing light and pyrotechnic show, the culmination of which will be the appearance of a ship with scarlet sails on the Neva. Under the flashes of fireworks, it will float along the main waterway of the city and remind the public of how important it is with all your heart to believe in a beautiful dream. It's useless to wait for the Bronze Horseman! It will pass by Summer garden and will make a turn at the Hermitage. The entire show will be held at the Hermitage. It is useless to stand at the Bronze Horseman.

A pyrotechnic show will also take place on Troitsky Bridge. The organizers have prepared many surprises and technical constructions that have no analogues in the world.

00:50 the passage of the brigantine "Secret" under scarlet sails.

At 01:10 the audience will be able to return to the stage: the concert program will resume and continue until 04:00.

The entrance to the Palace Square will be carried out by invitation cards, which will be issued to graduates and their parents. Some of the tickets were sent to other cities.

Informal tips:

1. The weather seems to be good, but it will probably rain at night. This year the summer is good, but the water is always cool. In addition to the jacket, take a windbreaker or a cheap raincoat for 100 rubles. As good as it gets! And it is convenient to take pictures and hide from the rain and wind. The water is always colder! If your girlfriend says FI! Take two, all the same, then give her your raincoat. Do not take umbrellas, break them and gouge out others' eyes and you will interfere with beat.

2. Wear tight, closed shoes. NOT SANDALS! It is impossible to look at your feet in the crowd; there will certainly be broken bottles or other feet in heavy drunk boots, at least.

3. With their own bottles and any liquid, even in plastic, they will not be allowed to dance in the area where you can dance!

4. The metro will run all night, which is convenient. BUT! Pass only by tokens. They will run all night at intervals of 30 minutes bus routes 8, 12, 56, 77, 80, 93, 106, 114, 142 and 154, trolleybus 37, which run between metro stations and residential quarters of "sleeping" areas. The rest of the transport will start working no earlier than 4 am.

5. Do not occupy a place on the waterfront. To stand for a long time, not to move away (you will lose your place), there is a crush and you can't really see anything. Better to hang out on the roof, on the boat or by the stage. The screen is more visible and beautiful, and the fireworks can be seen from everywhere. The smartest place IMHO is at the stage on the Strelka, but still better at home on the couch watching live broadcast.

6. If you are not alone, take CHARGED mobiles. It's very easy to get lost! One young man in 2011 I was looking for my elderly mother, whom I brought to the holiday and lost. I made my way in the crowd and yelled in a wild frightened voice MOMA! MOTHER! Help! She won't find her way home! Everyone sympathized with him, but could not help. It was even scary for my mother. It is very easy to get lost there. I hope they are doing well.
Agree in advance where you will meet if you get lost. If not locals, write a note in the children's pocket with your mobile phone and hotel address. It is easy to get lost in a crowd, and there are always VERY many people.

7. Go to the toilet ahead of time and don't get drunk on beer before. There are toilets there, but the queues will be wild.

8. If you are on a car, it would not hurt to have an ordinary stool on which you can sit and, if necessary, stand up. But if by car you cross the bridges from the Petrograd side towards the center, it will be problematic to return back.

9. Once again - dress warmly, take your raincoat, CHARGE YOUR MOBILE FULLY! Check the charging with those you walk with. If there is, take the "charger".

10. It is best to watch the show with the boat a day earlier, during the dress rehearsal))) but watch the fireworks in full on the holiday itself)))

11. There are sites selling rooftop tickets. Immediately clarify what will be visible from it, otherwise you can pay 3000, and the Neva and the boat will not be visible at all, only fireworks. Can and locals do not let in and the night could end in the police. As far as I know, you can officially even get to the roof of the Hermitage (there is an LLC that sells tickets officially) recently cost 5000 rubles, but just before the holiday it can be more expensive.

Often you can buy tickets for Scarlet Sails only via the Internet. It is better to do this in advance. Top view from a pleasure boat. You can buy tickets

5. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
Definitely, rabbit island is the main observation deck evenings. By the walls Peter and Paul Fortress many people will gather to applaud the passing frigate. Here you can take beautiful pictures as a keepsake. But the best shots will turn out if you shoot from the windows of the Peter and Paul Cathedral. Plus, it's not that hard to get into the building. It is enough to book a table in "Smelt", then the security will not have any questions.

6. frigate "Grace".
