The largest airports in the world are located in Moscow, and Vnukovo airport is one of them. It is the oldest international transport hub, which is very popular among city dwellers and tourists. From this point, departures within the country are made, as well as flights abroad. There is enough room for the landing of seventeen operating airlines.

Vnukovo Airport is actively used by the capital for the purpose of business flights. To date, the airport's capacity is amazing: the maximum number of passengers who can use the services of this complex reaches 25,000,000 people, and the occupied area is 27,000 square meters.

Vnukovo airport scheme

A closer look at Vnukovo, its layout represents a number of structures in which visitors are comfortable to stay, saving time before the flight. Constant passenger traffic requires competent placement of terminals, so dividing the building into several sectors turned out to be an excellent solution to the problem.

The layout of Vnukovo airport is simple: passengers can use three main terminals - A, B, D. Together they form the Vnukovo-1 hub. In addition, the building has a terminal for officials (Vnukovo-2) and a separate sector serving vip-clients (Vnukovo-3). It should be noted that terminals B and D are combined.

If you are at Vnukovo Airport for the first time and do not know in which hall it is better to pass the time before landing, special signs and information signs will help you figure it out. All over the territory there are signs with the direction of movement, indicating the way to this or that terminal. Let's take a closer look at each sector.

Node A

For Vnukovo, the branch of Terminal A has become the most important. The area of \u200b\u200bthis terminal is the largest, 80 percent of passengers are served in this location. The building has three floors, which are intended for visiting people and those who are awaiting departure. This division of functions is very thoughtful, because people will not get lost, determining the direction of their path. In this terminal, all the details are thought out to the smallest detail, so it will be difficult to get lost here.
As mentioned earlier, Terminal A at Vnukovo is based on three floors. The first floor provides luggage storage services. In addition to special cameras, there are check-in counters where the visitor can independently check-in for the plane. From this place a passage to the Aeroexpress station was built.

There are various cafes and ATMs in the waiting room. At the entrance, you can register for a flight, and on the contrary, you can buy tickets from the cashier. Also in this place, passengers are controlled by customs officers.

On the second floor of the terminal, the luggage of those departing is checked out and sorted, and the security services are checked. On this tier, passengers often have a rest, have dinner, buy souvenirs for the trip. Thanks to the cinema area, people can relax while waiting to board.

When you get to this terminal, its diagram will be here on the second floor. It describes in detail the plan of all the halls. You can find the location of the departure area, rooms for children, a bathroom, ticket offices, check-in points and all other infrastructure departments. The third floor is usually reached by escalator and elevator. The required route is expected here.

Node B

Terminal Vnukovo, named "B", serves up to seventeen percent of customers. Flights to Asia depart from this sector, as well as charter flights. The terminal administration plans to leave this compartment only for charters, and transfer other routes to department A. There are not many users in this node, but, nevertheless, its territory occupies two levels.

Terminal B is rather intended for the final inspection of passengers before departure. Supervisory services perform final checks and sort things into luggage compartment... After the inspection, visitors are sent to boarding.

Node D

Terminal D is practically not used at this airport. Only flights from the North Caucasus region come to this department. The terminal may have to stop functioning soon. There is no access to it, but you can get here through other terminals. In addition, you should be aware that cashiers and other service personnel stop working 40 minutes before the plane takes off. If you arrive in less than 20 minutes, you will not be able to board.

The distance from the center of Moscow is about 26-30 kilometers, the travel time is about half an hour, but it all depends on how busy the roads are. If there are no traffic jams, the path along the Kiev highway is the shortest. The most unpleasant thing is that you can get into a traffic jam on any part of the road and the principle of city traffic jams is impossible to calculate! You can create a route and calculate the travel time using the Yandex Maps service. Just be sure to check the box "including traffic jams".

Airport parking

For those passengers who come to the airport by private car, there are two paid indoor parking lots for 700 cars. They are located in the airport area, at a distance of 30 m from Terminal A.

When you enter the territory, you need to get a parking ticket. From this time, the countdown of the parking time will begin. If it takes more than 15 minutes, then after parking you will need to pay for parking according to the rates indicated in the cash register: the first 15 minutes are free; 1st hour - RUB 500; 2-3 hours - 100 rubles each, more than 3 hours -750 rubles. per day for open place and 1000 rubles. per day - closed parking.

There is also parking for a long time. It is located inside the overpass ring. Leaving the car there is convenient for those who travel along the Kiev highway from Moscow. The price of a day of parking is 500 rubles.

Even further, about a kilometer from the airport terminals (on Tsentralnaya Street - convenient for those who call in from Borovskoye or Kievskoye Highways), there are two long-term parking lots. However, you do not need to walk on foot - there is a free shuttle to and from the terminals. The cost of parking for the first two days is 300 rubles, the third and all subsequent days - 250 rubles.

Please note that you receive not only a free transfer, which is available around the clock, but also the following free services:

  • battery recharging and wheel pumping;
  • luggage packing;
  • client room with shower, toilet and wi-fi.

Travel time from the parking lot to the terminal is on average 6-8 minutes. The place can be booked in advance online.

Important! Order a car only from a company that has a license for its activities. Such cars must be painted yellow.

You can order a taxi via the Internet by downloading the Taxi application to your smartphone - in Yandex, Uber or Gett.

An important advantage of such an order is a fixed price, which you will immediately know. The cost of a trip from the center of Moscow to the airport starts from 1500 rubles. no surcharges! You can also choose the class of car that will take you to the airport.

If you have a large company (5 people or more), then you can order a minibus. Then the fare will cost from 350 rubles. per person.

On the way to Vnukovo airport, there are several specially designated lanes for the movement of public transport, along which taxi cars can also move. But, unfortunately, there are not enough lanes, so when ordering a taxi, you need to take into account traffic jams and leave in advance.

Take note: Taxis are the only way to get to the airport at night when other transport is no longer working.

So, getting to Vnukovo in your car, you spend money on fuel for the car and parking, but you can take any amount of luggage with you. You can plan a route yourself and calculate the travel time, taking into account traffic congestion. The fastest way to get there is along the Kiev highway, especially at night when there are no traffic jams!

If you don't have a car or don't want to ride it, call a taxi! This is especially true for passengers with small children or elderly relatives.
