If you've watched the horror movie Destination 3, you might have developed a rollercoaster bias. Do you think water slides are a great alternative? After all, there are no heavy moving mechanical parts, sharp turns and - most importantly - no electric current. Alas, we have to disappoint you! In water parks, this particular attraction causes the most harm. You can unsuccessfully "splash down". You can get stuck and wait in the dark when they will pull you out. You can injure body parts and ... even be decapitated. Don't believe me? Here are the world's most dangerous water slides.

Unreliable rafts

Shoot The Rapids is located at Cedar Point Amusement Park, Ohio, near Lake Erie. Visitors descend on a raft that can accommodate up to ten people at a time. The park has had one of the worst incidents in water slide history. The empty raft was pulled back to the top of the hill, but it fell off and rushed down the hill and knocked over another raft. Ten visitors (including children) fell into the water and the woman sustained a serious head injury. If the help arrived in time, they would have drowned.

Ambush of rapists

Administration of the water park "Arriba Water Park" in german city Norderstedt recently took steps to keep her guests safe in the aftermath of a grisly water slide incident. On March 4, 2015, two girls (14 and 18 years old) were caught by Afghan rapists, 14 and 34 years old, who were waiting for their victims "at the finish line" in the pool. The security team detained the criminals, but the girls managed to be subjected to violence. Now the perpetrators are behind bars, and the park has separate rides for men and women. Security guards follow visitors disguised as regular swimmers.

Fall into a black hole

One of the most dangerous water slides is the infamous "The Black Hole" at Wet N'Wild Water Park in Orlando. The park was repeatedly sued in connection with an emergency on this hill. In 2000, a man sued the park for $ 1.73 million after being seriously injured - when he was descending, he was rammed by some unknown object, the poor fellow was thrown from the bottom of the "Hole" and could not move his legs. The spine was injured, the victim needed metal plates implanted in the neck. There were other unpleasant incidents: people hit the bottom, against each other, were injured. The descent takes 23 seconds, but employees send the next visitor every 20 seconds, which sometimes leads to "accidents".

Brazilian "hippo"

« Beach Park"In Brazil is famous for its Slide Insano Water slide - this is one of the highest attractions of its kind (41 meters - like a 14-storey building). Descending from this hill developed a speed of up to 105 km per hour, while the descent is so steep that the body barely touches the surface. In this situation, it is very important to take the correct posture so as not to injure yourself: you need to cross your arms over your chest and ankles. The whole "trip" takes 4-5 seconds, imagine how much adrenaline is released into the blood - not everyone can stand it. Employees often laugh at the people coming out of the bottom of this behemoth: some visitors can't help crying in fear and shock.

Horror movie set

In the Spanish city of Benidorm, there is an attraction that could well become a decoration for a horror movie - once its water was colored with scarlet blood due to a terrible emergency. We are talking about the 33 meter high water slide “VertiGo”. Imagine: you are standing in a capsule at the top, and then a hatch opens below you, and you are carried down. What happened? A British tourist entered the capsule, but the hatch did not open completely, the man fell through a small gap, severely injuring his face and cutting his legs. The pool at the bottom was filled with his blood, but after ten minutes the slide was working again.

The only indoor attraction

The Sahara Sidewinders Ride is another one of the most dangerous water slides in the world. She is located in the Kalahari resort in the American city of Wisconsin Dells. The slide is marketed as the only indoor attraction of this type, the first of its kind in America. However, it seems that something has not been thought out in the new technology, because sometimes problems arise here. In 2011, the resort was sued after a teenager was injured on a hill. The trial was won: the victim's lawyers proved that the administration of the resort knew about the danger, but did not take the necessary measures (there were also complaints before, but did not reach the court).

When the number of injuries is off scale

Cannonball Falls is part of New Jersey's infamous Action Park, which has the most injuries in the country. In just one season, six visitors were injured, and five of them received shoulder injuries. The company that owns the park was very reluctant to pay for the treatment of all victims. The decision was made to close the attraction in September 2015.

Deadly madness

One of the most recent horrific tragedies occurred at the Verruckt Water Slide at Kansas City Water Park. This is the most high slide in the world (more than 51 meters). In August 2016, 10-year-old boy Caleb was thrown from a raft and beheaded. An investigation into this terrible case is still underway. Witnesses say they heard an explosion, a scream, and blood began to come out of the bottom of the hill. Caleb was very skinny and many say he shouldn't have been allowed to descend. The name of the hill is translated from German "crazy". The crazy attraction was closed after the incident - most likely forever.

Another very dangerous water slide, Speed \u200b\u200bSlide, is located in the famous Knoebels Water Park in Pennsylvania. At one time, the attraction was often featured in local news due to the large number of injuries - the girls especially suffered. Two of them (visitors aged 11 and 12) had genital injuries. The descent speed is so high that the force and pressure of the water simply tore apart their inner part.

Closed a month later

One of the most ridiculous and unsafe water slides was the property of the already mentioned New Jersey "Action Park". This monster was called "Cannonball Loop". It seems that it was designed without caring about the potential risks of visitors. And to dare to "ride" on this hill could either absolutely "crazy", or decided to commit suicide. The attraction had the shortest lifespan: it was closed a month after opening. And thank God - at least no one had time to die on this monster.

Perfect relaxation - everyone understands this concept in their own way. For some, an imposing pastime on the beach is optimal, while others get real pleasure from an active or even extreme vacation.

The heart beats faster, with every second a huge portion of adrenaline is thrown into the blood, and in the meantime the brain seems to be shutting down, but the brilliance of the sensations does not decrease from this! Believe me, you will have enough impressions for many years if you dare to conquer the largest water slide in the world!

Summit plummet

In the water park called Disney Blizzard Beach, which is located in Florida, there is one of the most extreme water slopes - about 37 meters high. Despite the fact that the summer is always sunny and quite hot here, those wishing to descend from Summit Plummet will find snowdrifts at the top and along the entire route, which make this attraction look rather unusual and more like a ski jump. But since the snow is artificial, the likelihood of freezing something to yourself is reduced to zero.

To climb Summit Plummet you don't have to put in any special effort - here is cable car... And if the ascent is easy, then it is at the top of the water slide that you will have to be very hard. Why? Because it is necessary to have nerves of steel to sit in a narrow chute, let go of your hands and ... experience an incredible feeling when you are rapidly falling down at a speed of 100 km / h. Ready? Then Summit Plummet is waiting for you!

For more than 15 years, this slide has held the proud title of the highest water slide in the world. Its height is 41 m and it is located in the water park, which bears the name of Fortaleza Beach Park. And if you have planned your vacation in the Brazilian resort of Fortaleza, then you simply have no right to pass by its luxurious attraction, which is listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Insano is a water slide that not everyone dares to slide down. Its descent is almost vertical, and it is equal in height to a 14-storey building. Anyone who dares to climb to the top of this Brazilian attraction will be able to learn what bird's-eye view is and fully enjoy the surrounding landscape.

But the view of the coast and the port city is not the main thing! You are at the top and now you should gather all your will into a fist and make a real flight down. Its duration does not exceed 7 seconds, but because of the tremendous speed, which is about 105 km / h, the sensations are incredible! In this short time, you will experience amazing, incomparable feelings!

Verrückt

But the biggest shot of adrenaline awaits you in Kansas City, where the Verrückt water slide awaits all madmen in the park called Schlitterbahn. Only true daredevils are able to agree to this adventure, since this slide is not only the highest in the world, but also one of the most extreme. By agreeing to this flight, you get several pleasures at once:

  • fast travel along the water slide;
  • an incredible track that wags like rails on a roller coaster;
  • amazing turns, forcing you to fall down and then soar up.

And all this happens at an incredible speed that reaches 120 km / h. The highest section of the Verrückt water slide is 52 m. And if you compare with famous buildings, then, for example, the Statue of Liberty will be half a meter lower than this attraction. The same can be said for some of the world's other landmarks, such as the Tower and Niagara Falls - they are also inferior in height to this amazing water slide.

In order to reach the top of the Verrückt slide you will need to climb 264 steps. At the top, risk-lovers are already waiting for rubber rafts, each of which can accommodate 3 people. And then only a dizzying flight from the height of a 17-storey building and another 180 m of incredible extreme! At the same time, the first fall is not the only one - immediately after it you will be lifted to a height of about 5 floors and carried further along a narrow and, as it seems to many, endless gutter.

Do you want to tickle your nerves? Then you are on the highest water slide in the world!

In one of the previous reviews, we talked about.

Every year, June 21 is the day of the summer solstice. This is the longest day in all 12 months. Some will spend it in an apartment with the air conditioner on. Others are in the backyard of the house, grilling something. But perhaps the best place to spend this day is a water park. Going to ordinary rides is too commonplace. In order for a visit to be remembered for a lifetime, it is worth going to those places where there are the most terrible and insane water slides in the world. Below we describe seven such attractions that are located around the world, from the United States to the United United Arab Emirates... Riding any of these water slides is guaranteed to be remembered for the rest of your life.

Insano (Brazil)

Located 55 miles south of Fortaleza along the northeastern coast of Brazil. It is here that the "Insano" slide attracts "adrenaline addicts". Its height reaches 140 feet, which is roughly the height of a 14-story building. On this moment it is the tallest in the world and entered in the Guinness Book of Records. When descending, you can accelerate to an incredible 100 kilometers per hour. Since the person is in free fall most of the time, the trip lasts only 4-5 seconds.

Brainwashing (Florida)

Orlando is famous not only for its Disney recreation center, but also for this water slide. Two to four people can slide down it. A 55-foot vertical fall is accompanied by audio and video effects.

"Aqualup" (Slovenia)

This attraction has a 360-degree loop that allows you to accelerate to 60 kilometers per hour. The hill is located on the territory of thermal springs, so during the descent you can enjoy beautiful views.

"Faiser" (Germany)

Located in the city of Erding near Munich. On this slide, you can accelerate to 70 kilometers per hour.

Summit Plummet (Florida)

Located at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. The 36-meter slope will allow extreme sportsmen to test their strength. Well, the height of a 12-storey building will allow you to move down the hill at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour.

Scorpion Tail (Wisconsin)

Located right in the heart of the state, 55 miles north of Madison. The height of the slide is about the same as that of a ten-story building. The length of the descent is 122 meters, but the maximum acceleration speed is small - only 15 kilometers per hour.

Leap of Faith (Bahamas)

The hill is a copy of a Mayan temple. The main highlight of this attraction is that its pipe runs through a pool with swimming sharks. So when descending through the 18-meter tunnel, one can only hope for the strength of its walls.
