Hiking trails in. Hiking: hiking and outdoor activities. Luzhniki transshipment point

We continue our walk through the center of Moscow. Those who have just joined can see the beginning here:, but since we returned to the starting point of the first part of the route, we can consider the next proposed route as an independent one. I suggest a diagram of the upcoming walk:

So, we start from the intersection of st. Vozdvizhenka and Nikitsky Boulevard (Arbatskaya metro station). We cross the road along underpass to the right and go to this beautiful house - the city estate of the Shakhovsky - Krause - Osipovsky (Vozdvizhenka St., 18/9). This two-story house with a mezzanine floor, with wings and front gates was built in 1783 by Prince Alexei Yakovlevich Shakhovskoy. Since 1842, the property passed into the hands of doctors. At first, it was owned by the famous doctor I.I.Krause., And in 1852, when the house belonged to the staff captain Nikolai Yakovlevich Kozlakov, the architect N.I. Kozlovsky rebuilt the house. The changes mainly concerned the decoration of the façade and interior. The house received a very spectacular facade, made in the Rococo style with very interesting decorations in the form of flower garlands and shells. In 1868, the estate was bought by the doctor Dmitry Timofeevich Osipovsky (1812-1881). On June 14, 1878, he was granted the nobility, and from that time the Osipovsky coat of arms was located in the pediment of the house.

We turn to Nizhniy Kislovsky lane. By the way, the lanes are called Kislovskie, where once lived people who were engaged in cabbage leavening, making kvass and similar products. These names are typical for Moscow, where many streets are named according to the nature of the work done by the people who lived in the area.

We reach house number 5, which now houses the Residence of the Swiss Ambassador. This mansion, built in the 18th century, changed owners and was rebuilt several times. The end of the house opens onto the street, which in 1894 received a new facade designed by architect P. M. Samarin, and the letters "VD" appeared on the pediment of the house - the initials of its then owner Vladimir Dumnov, the owner of a publishing house well-known in Moscow. which published the first works of Turgenev and Gogol. By the way, the Turgenev family also lived in this house in 1832-1833. Also here was the composer P.I.Tchaikovsky, who often stayed here with his student and friend V.S.Shilovsky, who also owned this house since 1872.

We go further along the lane, and we reach the house 13 (Bolshaya Nikitskaya street, 19/13). The famous Mayakovsky Theater is located here. The original name "Theater Paradise" was given to the German actor Georg (George) Paradise (1846 - 1901), an actor and owner of his own enterprise, who began theatrical performances in this building in 1886. The building was built according to the project of the architect K.V. Tersky (the author of the facade is F.O.Shekhtel, we will get acquainted with the most famous house of this architect a little later). At first, the premises were played by European stars who came on tour; world famous artists played on this stage, but after the revolution, these tours ceased. The theater in different years was headed by various famous directors and many famous actors played and continue to play on its stage. I will not dwell on this topic, otherwise the story will be endless. But going to this theater has always been very prestigious, so I recommend it!

We turn left along Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and almost immediately on the right we see another very famous building TASS ( Tverskoy blvd, D 2). The building of the new TASS building, built on the site of the old buildings in 1977, was called one of the successful architectural projects of the 1970s. The windows of the building resemble TV screens, reflecting the essence of the organization that is located here.

And we cross Nikitsky Boulevard (by the way, from Arbatskaya to this place it was possible to walk along the boulevard, there are also many interesting things), and turn to the continuation of Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street. There, our attention was attracted by an ensemble of previously tenement houses of 1901-1903. on B. Nikitskaya, 31, built in the Art Nouveau style by architects ND Strukov and VP Zeidler. It is now an administrative building.

NOTE: If you go further along this street, then go through Garden Ring road and turn right, then you will come out to the Moscow Planetarium, or you can walk a little forward along Barrikadnaya Street, which is a continuation of B. Nikitskaya, there will be a Moscow Zoo.

In general, our goal of the ball was the “Big Ascension” church (36 B. Nikitskaya st.).

In one of the chapels of the still unfinished Church of the Ascension of the Lord, A.S. Pushkin was married to Natalia Goncharova. In honor of this event in 1999, a fountain "Natalia and Alexander" was opened near the church with the figures of the poet and his wife. The granite pedestal has columns of gray marble brought from Italy, topped with a golden dome, symbolizing the dome of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord. Inside the rotunda there are sculptures by Goncharova and Pushkin, made by Mikhail Viktorovich Dronov. The sculptures are very hard to see, it is quite difficult to photograph them.

2

The building of the Great Ascension Church in its current form was built on the site old church, and was finally completed in the 1830s. The consecration of the Cathedral of the Great Ascension took place on September 19, 1848. After the revolution, the bell tower was demolished, and the church was used first as a warehouse, then as a laboratory. On May 20, 1999, on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, the temple was re-consecrated by His Holiness Patriarch of All Russia Alexy. And in 2002-2004 the bell tower was restored. Now the temple looks like this.

The interior of the temple:

After visiting the temple, we crossed to the other side, to Malaya Nikitskaya Street.

I really liked the facade of house No. 10 - the former apartment building of A. I. Toropova (1906, architect O. O. Shishkovsky).

Then we moved on to house number 6, known as Ryabushinsky's house (Gorky's house-museum). We arrived here at 17 o'clock (2 hours after the start of our walk, including the first part). The museum is open until 17-30. We had half an hour for a quick tour of this beautiful house-museum. I wrote about this separately.

3

NOTE: If you go further from Ryabushinsky's house along the street. Spiridonovka, and then turn into Bolshoi Patriarshy Lane, then you will come out to the Patriarch's Ponds. Bypassing this famous place along Malaya Bronnaya to the left, you can go to the Garden Ring. Turning to the right and walking a little forward, you will see a house with the famous Bulgakov apartment No. 50 (Bolshaya Sadovaya St., 10), where the writer's museum is now located. Going further, you will reach Triumphalnaya Square, where there are a lot of attractions: the Peking Hotel, the Satire Theater, Concert hall them. Tchaikovsky. Triumfalnaya Square also recently completed a major reconstruction, and now there is a wonderful recreation area around the Mayakovsky monument. After taking a walk, you can go down to the metro to the most beautiful station "Mayakovskaya".

6

Well, after visiting a beautiful museum, we returned to Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street and walked along it towards the center. The buildings on it are interesting and beautiful, especially after restoration. But we will not dwell around them, we will just see.

On this street, at 18 Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, there is the Church of the Ascension of the Lord (Small Ascension). This temple was first mentioned in the Moscow chronicles in 1548. Since the 1830s it has been called the "Small Ascension", so as not to be confused with the "Great Ascension" temple, which we recently visited. It is believed that a new stone church was erected on the site of an ancient church by Tsar Theodor Ioannovich, son of Ivan the Terrible, in memory of his wedding to the kingdom on the day of the Ascension of the Lord on June 10, 1584. The head of the temple is crowned with a beautiful cross with a crown and a tsata (the so-called "crescent" or "new moon") - a symbol of the grand ducal and patriarchal power, which dates back to the end of the 18th century. It survived and was restored to its place in 1992. This year is the second year of the birth of the temple, which was closed in 1937 and completely lost its decoration, but for last years restored and painted by famous artists Ivan Glazunov, Irina Starzhenetskaya, Dmitry Alimov. The temple is small but very cozy. It contains several rare icons and church values. Since the temple is located opposite the Moscow Conservatory, many of its students and graduates sing in the church choir.

3

The Moscow Conservatory is located across the street from the church, at 13 Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street. The building was designed by architect V.I.Bazhenov and bought in 1766 for Ekaterina Dashkova. In 1812 the house belonged to Count M.S.Vorontsov, during the war the house burned down and was restored by 1824. In 1878, the building was bought by the Moscow Conservatory, founded in 1866. Soon this building became scarce and the Small (1898) and Big (1901) halls were completed with donations. Reconstruction was completed in 2011 Great Hall, which was held in just a year, so now this place is even more beautiful. If you have time, I strongly advise you to go here!

1

And we turn into Bryusov Lane. Walking along it, you can see a part of the Anglican Church located at Voznesensky Lane, 8/5, bld. 3. This church, built for the English community of Moscow in 1885, was closed during the Soviet years and was used, including , for the all-Union firm "Melodia" - many famous gramophone records were recorded here. And the revival of divine services in the church began in 1991, which are now held here every Sunday at english languageand organ concerts are also organized.

1

We didn't go to church. We had more carnal needs. At 2/14 on Bryusov Lane, there is this Meat Point street-format establishment, where they cook Turkish national cuisine... A kind of "Window to Turkey" was advised by my son, saying that there is very tasty Turkish kufta (lavash with lamb, vegetables and spices) for 200 rubles, which is cooked in front of you (you can watch the cooking process on the monitor screen). You can also order Turkish coffee, tea or other drinks. The establishment turned out to be popular. There were several people in front of us, and the girl was picking up the order, which she left, as I understood it, by phone. For ever-running Moscow, such a food format is very suitable. We also liked the kyufta.

Resurrection on the Uspensky vrazhka (Bryusov per., 15/2, p. 3). The church has survived many fires, and yet it never closed, even during Soviet times, which is a rarity for Moscow. It was not closed at the request of many famous actors and composers who lived in the area. Therefore, this church was and still remains one of the most visited in the center of Moscow. It has a special atmosphere, the interiors of the last quarter of the 19th century have been preserved, when the church was re-painted and received the existing iconostases, in which old icons are located, some of them are especially revered. Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit this temple normally, and it is not worth just running into such a place. So we went further.

2

In this area, due to the proximity to the conservatory, many cultural figures lived and live. The House of Composers is also located here. Several monuments to famous composers have been erected around. Opposite the church in 2012, in honor of the 85th anniversary of his birth, a monument to Mstislav Rostropovich was erected, created by the famous sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov.

2

And in the courtyard of the House of Composers there is a monument to Aram Ilyich Khachaturian, which was created at the expense of the Yerevan Mayor's Office and donated to Moscow in 2006, the Year of Armenia in Russia. The authors of the monument were sculptor Georgy Frangulyan and architect Igor Voskresensky.

1

We pass by the House of Composers and past the Church of the Assumption on the Uspensky vrazhka (Gazetny lane, 15) we leave on Gazetny lane, turn left towards Tverskaya street. The hours of the Central Telegraph show 18-20, which means that we got from the Gorky Museum to this place in 50 minutes. It was decided to build the Central Telegraph building in 1925, it included a radio center and an intercity telephone exchange. The project by Ivan Rerberg won in an open competition, according to the project of which the building of the Kievsky railway station in Moscow was already built. Note the coat of arms near the clock. Here the hammer and sickle are located not side by side, but along the edges. This was one of the first versions of the coat of arms of the Soviet Union.

For lovers of fast food - opposite the Telegraph is located "McDonald's" (the second of the opened in our country, the first was - on Tverskaya, near the Tverskaya metro station). And we reach the crossing over Tverskaya. Take a look at the expanded and refurbished pedestrian zone, the Kremlin and Manezhnaya Square ahead.

5

And we ourselves are leaving for the pedestrian zone, which was recently opened in the center of Moscow, but it has become so beloved by residents and guests of the capital. This zone begins from Tverskaya with Kamergersky lane, on which we go.

For those who love hiking, kilometers of road and a backpack behind their shoulders, "old woman" Europe has prepared a lot of interesting things. In almost every country there are several dozen popular and not very trekking routes.

Choosing sturdy boots - and hitting the road!

Sweden - Norway

Immersion in the northern nature and culture of Scandinavia awaits all travelers who decide to walk in whole or in part on the Way of St. Olaf. It begins in the Swedish town of Selanger and ends in the GothicNidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. The trail was abandoned for a long time, but after the joint efforts of the Swedish-Norwegian authorities, it was mapped and marked on the ground, revealing an exciting page of their cultural heritage for pilgrims and tourists. The route runs through forests, agricultural lands, waterfalls to the fjords, the symbol of Norway. Medieval churches, monasteries and traditional family farms complete the picture.

A lot of effort was spent on the Christianization of the country and the fight against paganism. Olaf's innovations met with resistance from the old nobility, and soon he had to flee from Norway to Novgorod. In 1030, the king tried to regain the Norse throne, but died in battle. He was buried in the Nidaros Cathedral, and a year after his death he was canonized. Thus, the path of St. Olaf repeats the last path of the Norwegian king Olaf II through the Scandinavian lands.

The coniferous forests, alpine meadows and mountainous areas along the way make it the most exciting trek Western Europe... On the territory of Corsica there are 128 mountain peaks, so mountain lovers will especially like it here.

History

The route was laid in the 70s of the XX century, when in Corsica there was an acute problem of the outflow of the population inland. The goal was to "revive" the mountain pastures and prevent the disappearance of the ancient ferry routes between villages. Was soon created national park, and a little later, the trail received well-deserved fame among local residents and tourists.

Route length

GR 20, which is 180 km of track, crosses the island from north to south and consists of two sections. The northern part starts at Calenzana and ends at Vizzavona. Due to the steep slopes and uneven paths, it is considered more challenging, but also more scenic. The southern section stretches from Vizzavona to Conca and is convenient for beginner trackers. The entire route takes about 15 days.

Lycian trail

Turkey

Walking Mediterranean Turkey on the Lycian Trail is an option for those looking to get past crowded beaches and hyped tourist attractions. Instead, the route is full of landscapes of the Taurus Mountains, azure coves, rocky canyons, orange groves and picturesque ruins of ancient cities.

History

Lykia is ancient civilization, which many millennia ago was located on south coast modern Turkey. For a long time Lycia remained autonomous, later it became a province of the Roman Empire, and after the 11th century it was conquered by the Seljuks. The best preserved from those times are the Lycian tombs carved into the rocks. They are easy to spot when moving along the trail. In addition, you can see with your own eyes:

  • the ancient cities of Phaselis and Olympos;
  • natural attractions - the Valley of the Butterflies and the Goynuk Canyon;
  • the famous fires of the Chimera, eternally burning on Mount Yanartash;
  • the pilgrim town of Mira and the Church of St. Nicholas (known in Orthodoxy as Nicholas the Wonderworker);
  • scenic coastal villages of Kabak, Oludeniz, Cirali;
  • endless Patara beach and more.

Route length

The Lycian Trail is 540 km from Fethiye to Antalya. It runs between the mountains and the coast along goat and footpaths. Sometimes there are steep and rocky slopes. The starting point is in the village of Oludeniz, a two-hour drive from Dalaman airport. The destination is located near international airport in Antalya. The entire route is designed for 29 days, but usually travelers choose to pass only a few sections of the road. Some of them run close to settlements and are suitable for day trips.

Suitable season

The best time to complete the route is April-June and September-November. Summers in Lycia are too hot and tiring for long walks, and in winter, prolonged rains are possible.

Useful information

The signpost of the Lycian Way is a red and white rectangle. On the winding sections of the road, rocks and stones are generously marked; on a flat path, signs are less common. The wrong direction is marked on the ground with a red cross. Although the map is considered optional for short walks, it will come in handy for long distances. It contains the necessary information: accommodation, settlements, sources of drinking water. Every 10 km there are small villages, equipped campings or private boarding houses where you can spend the night. But on some parts of the path, your own tent is the only option for rest, so you should carefully study the information before the hike.

King's Trail (Kungsleden)

Sweden

For the harsh northern nature and ringing silence, you need to go to Sweden. Kungsleden is one of the most famous hiking trails this Scandinavian country, which runs beyond the Arctic Circle in fabulous Lapland. Pine, birch and spruce forests, glaciers, mountain rivers and massifs - all the natural diversity of this region is presented on the Royal Trail.

sights

Kungsleden owes its origin to the Swedish Tourism Association, which since the beginning of the 20th century has been trying to make the country's arctic landscapes accessible to local and foreign tourists. The route runs through the picturesque mountains of Lapland and crosses:

  • Abisko National Park with the station of the same name. IN in winter this place becomes a center of pilgrimage for tourists who came from all over the world to admire the northern lights;
  • the most high mountain Sweden - Kebnekaise;
  • mountain villages Hemavan and Tärnaby;
  • lapland treasures: national parks Stora Sjöfallet, Pieljekaise and Sareks.

Route length

About 440 km of trails stretch between the villages of Abisku in the north and Hemavan in the south. The route is divided into 4 sections (Abisko-Singi-Kvikkjokk-Ammarnäs-Hemavan), each of which involves one week of travel. The most popular tourist part of the trail is the section between Abisku and Kebnekaise.

Suitable season

The summer season, which is considered the best time to climb the route, lasts from mid-June to the end of September. In winter, from mid-February to late April, the trail can be traversed on skis or snowmobiles. In the off-season, the weather can be unpredictable due to early or late snowfall.

Useful information

The trail stands out in the terrain, and its awkward sections are well equipped. The boardwalks cover too swampy ground, bridges have been built between the mountain rivers, and ferries between the lakes work in the summer months. Almost along the entire route, there are huts where you can wait out the bad weather, spend the night and cook food. Or set up a tent nearby for a small fee. Details of the route are located

Akzia.Media, with the support of the Department of Culture, has developed the Moscow Pedestrian mobile application - an interactive guide to pedestrian Moscow. The program contains 15 walking routes in the pedestrian zones of Moscow: Kuznetsky Most, Bolshaya Dmitrovka, Novinsky Boulevard, Sretenka, Arbat and other significant streets of the capital.

For each walk there is a profile with a map, the length and duration of the path, the sights encountered, the nearest metro stations, detailed description area and photographs. In addition, all routes are marked with special icons with walk features: scenic views, cafes, and bike paths.

In addition, the appendix contains a section describing the upcoming cultural events in Moscow: festivals, city holidays and concerts. Each event can be added to your calendar or shared on social networks. The app is free and available for iOS smartphones. You can download it.

In the next version of the program, the developers promise to introduce the ability to build your own routes, add custom reports and reviews.

Earlier, Akzia.Media released applications for Gorky Park and Sokolniki.

One of the most effective ways to get to know the city and plunge into its surroundings is the walking route. In our case, this is an independent walking route in Moscow. Hiking can be classified as optional, because there are ways to get to know the city externally and learn all its most significant sights in a few hours. There are many such ways in Moscow. for example tourist bus, which will take you around the center of the capital in two hours. You can sail through the very center of Moscow on a pleasure boat, thanks to the Moscow River bed for the opportunity to enjoy all the most significant sights of Moscow. By the way, we have already done it.

But neither the bus nor river walks will not allow you to stop where you like or unexpectedly change the route or completely interrupt it. But the walking route gives such an opportunity, it remains only to decide where to start and where to finish. Besides walking route by the historic center Moscow or walks around the Kremlin, we have chosen a route involving the following sights in order of passage:

  • Europe square near Kievsky railway station
  • Novodevichy Convent

The length of this walking route in Moscow 3-4 km, in time it will take 2 hoursf.

Europe Square in Moscow

Our route starts at Europe Square. It is located right in front of the Kievsky railway station, in the center of the square there is a fountain called "The Rape of Europe".

The square near the Kievsky railway station was renamed in honor of the fountain installed here. People with a living imagination will probably be able to see here the ancient Greek plot of the abduction of Europa by Zeus, but we did not succeed.

By pedestrian bridge Bogdan Khmelnitsky, we pass from the right side of the Moskva River to the left. For ease of movement, the bridge is equipped with escalators, and in some places from the covered part of the bridge you can go out into the open air and admire the wonderful views of the Moskva River and the city of Moscow.

By the way, it is from this pier at the Kiev station that it departs.

Crossing the river, we find ourselves in the Khamovniki area, along which we have to do the lion's share of the walking route. And we will start with a walk along the Savvinskaya embankment. We walk on it for 1.5 km. Therefore, if you want to pass the time or go for a ride with the breeze, you can rent a bicycle, there are a lot of such stations in the center of Moscow, and there is a stand near each with directions from other stations and instructions on how to rent a bicycle.

Novodevichy ponds

From Savvinskaya embankment, we go to Novodevichy Prospekt, on the right side of which is the Novodevichy Ponds Park. This place is named after the Novodevichy Convent, which is located here. The place is very pleasant. Here you can make the first stop on our journey. To sit on a bench and feed the ducks, for this it is better to have a piece of bread with you, and for the squirrels that we meet later, it is better to stock up on nuts.

From here, a view of the Novodevichy Convent opens up, namely, the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in the Novodevichy Convent. This church is at the gate and was built in late XVII century.

On the bank of the Bolshoy Novodevichy Pond, there is a sculptural group called "The Way for Ducklings". It is named after an American children's book. Exactly the same monument is located in the USA in Boston, and this one was presented by Barbara Bush in 1991 as a gift to Soviet children. From here you can see the Savvinskaya Tower of the Novodevichy Convent and the tops of the domes of the Cathedral of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God.

In this photo, to the already listed buildings of the Novodevichy Convent, the Naprudnaya Tower of the Novodevichy Convent is also added, it has a rounded shape, in contrast to the square Savvinskaya.

Two Novodevichy ponds are separated by a small bridge, behind which the walls of the Novodevichy cemetery begin.

We go out to Khamovnichesky Val street and move along it to the Moskva River. This path will take another 2 kilometers. But the road will not seem difficult and at least in some places you will have to cross the carriageway, in general, the route runs along well-equipped squares and alleys.
