Bear travel. Elnar Mansurov is the same guy with a bear's head. Top Visa-Free Countries

The office of a travel agency is like a regular grocery store - printed sheets of directions and prices, a battered map of the world, a couple of souvenirs from Greece or Turkey, and sluggish sellers of undetermined age. This sad island of the last century still calls itself a travel agency - the place where you come to plan a vacation or trip, to fulfill your old dream.

The world is gradually changing, and the hackneyed directions of travel agencies are attracting fewer and fewer people: even those who are well over 40 want unusual experiences, jeep trips or kayaking trips away from the main hiking trails... That is why new agencies appeared, which we call travel agencies 2.0 in the article.

Such travel companies you can not even call agencies in full - most often their founders travel and share shelter with you, tell stories and take you to places that are hidden not only from tourists, but also from the authors of materials "life hacks from local". This is because they thoroughly explored the region, they know a lot about it, both theoretical and practical information, and also have local connections: any client of such an agency can be sure that he will get the most out of his trip, and all risks and possible problems will be promptly eliminated.

In fact, travel agencies 2.0 are your guides in places where travel is difficult to plan on your own (and such places, you will be surprised, there are still many in the world). They put together a unique program, know the best value for money in the region and understand how to plan your week of vacation so that you get the most experience for the right price.

Our first guest was Elnar Mansurov, the famous "bear-headed guy", founder of the Mishka.Travel project.

Start

How and when did it all start? What preceded this? Did you have financial reasons or a desire to reveal a region that you know well? Perhaps some other reason?

More and more people wanted to visit not just the places that I visited, but also specifically interested in the opportunity to travel with me as fellow travelers. They had many reasons: someone did not want to bother with organizing the route and completely trusted me, someone dreamed of Iceland and Norway, but could find fellow travelers only to Turkey and Egypt, someone just wanted to get to know me, learn more about my travels, the principles of building a route, and so on.

Where was your first organized tourist trip? Why exactly there?

The first mass departure was back in 2010, when I gathered ten strangers and we went from Perm and Moscow to Vienna, from where we moved to Hungary, rented cars and moved to the sea on the Croatian Istrian peninsula. The trip was classically budgetary: tickets were bought from Moscow round-trip for 3,900 rubles, tickets to Budapest from Vienna for 300 rubles, the cost of car rental was also insignificant.

Elnar Mansurov from Perm owns a cafe, shares the secrets of organizing independent budget travel on his website Mishka.Travel, and most importantly ... he travels the world with a mask polar bear on the head. “The bear and I have visited such exotic locationslike the polar archipelago of Svalbard, the closed regions of North Korea and mysterious Japan. This summer I made an expedition through Alaska, Greenland, Faro Islands and Iceland, - says Elnar. - I am a person who has devoted my whole life to travel. I share with my readers advice on how to travel cheaper, easier and more interesting. "

(15 photos total)

Here and further, the author's comments: “I saw how my friends were posting photos from their March trip from winter Baikal, I felt nostalgic and remembered that I didn’t show you all the photos. It is a pity that this year we have an expedition to Antarctica on the same dates, and you will definitely go for at least a couple of days, for which you need to monitor the sales of airlines in Irkutsk. You will not regret".

“It is snowing in the Urals today. There would be hot springs, like in Japan, you could take the same photo :) "

“The main entertainment that Dubrovnik offers at every step is kayaking. A three-hour walk along the coast and to Lokrum Island under the scorching sun with sandwiches and drinks will cost around 30 € (200 kuna) per person. Variations of boats are endless - with a transparent bottom, single, double, etc. Life hack: on Banje beach there are one-hour walks on the same kayaks, but without food and drinks for 6 € per person. "

“It is a pity that all military, political, religious and other conflicts hit tourism hard too. Is there an Arab visa in your passport? Get ready at the Israeli border for a warm welcome. Did you go to Nagorno-Karabakh? At the border, Azerbaijanis are deported back home. Get into the mysterious Saudi Arabia it is almost impossible for an ordinary tourist, unless you are a Muslim and go to Hajj. And how many beautiful mysterious places, in which access is closed (Turkmenistan), you can only get by tour (DPRK) or where the number of people is limited (a number of national parks in the USA or Tibet). And somewhere just fighting is going on (in Yemen, for example). Why go too far for an example? I have been dreaming of getting to Bukovel and Odessa for a long time, but I don’t want to take risks on the border with a roulette wheel. In the photo there is a bear in Yemen. By the way, who will find the cat in the photo? "

“Before, I could never plan travel ahead as it depended on unexpected finds on cheap air tickets. But for the next year I am already planning trips and expeditions. From June 20, there will be two week-long sailing trips from Nuuk to Ilulissat and Disko Bay. And there - whales, icebergs, solid arctic romance and one polar bear. "

"Such blue lagoon I haven't seen yet. It was raining and the wind was so strong that it literally ripped out the doors of the car. Reminds me of how we went to the onsen in Japan in a blizzard. And this is the case when the bear's head came in handy as a warm hat ”.

“Relying only on yourself is a great way to stop being disappointed in people and live in a great mood.”

"The first thing I did when I earned my first money was to send my mother to the sea, as she only saw him on TV."

“The success of traveling with children is not planning anything. For example, I took business class flights by miles, thinking it was the perfect flight, but Yuna's 10th flight was the hardest. As a result, we spent almost all 7 hours alternately in the space by the toilet, rocking Yuna, and not lying on the bed. By the way, the flight to Tenerife is a children's flight, I have never seen so many children on one board. Passengers without children - hello! With a child, you adjust to his daily routine and his dreams, but these are all solvable little things, all for the sake of that very childish joy and laughter at the sight of the pool or the ocean. "

“We went to the north of the island. Here everything is exactly as I imagined Tenerife: strong currents, waves, boards, black beaches, steep cliffs ... "

“What I love Iceland for is the opportunity to take a dip in the hot springs. After a whole day behind the wheel, after all the impressions and seen, after active walks, after the cold wind and rain - the very thing to end the day in this thermal spring».

"One of the most famous places in Iceland - this is the remains of an aircraft that urgently landed on a black beach in 1973. For a long time, it stood practically intact, until the farmers sawed it for their household needs. Thanks to Instagram, this place has become very popular, this plane often flashes in all photo publics. "

“So, about Yekaterinburg ... I'll start with the Yeltsin Center. First, he meets in the exposition a personal armored car with gifts in the form of watches from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a sweater from Boris Nemtsov, reminded me of the "Museum of Gifts" to the Great Leaders of North Korea in Pyongyang. I was a little scared that there would be a continuous cult of personality, but from the very first hall, where the cartoon "History of Russian Democracy" is shown, goose bumps ran through my body. And then, as I moved from hall to hall, different emotions overtook me: horror and a lump in my throat from the barricades, warmth from childhood memories from video players and Sega consoles, shock from empty counters with birch sap, etc. The figure of the first president in The country's history is controversial in many respects, for which the Center undeservedly receives criticism from its opponents. But there were not so many museums in my life that caused so many violent emotions, which means that the main creators of the Yeltsin Center have achieved. I envy that there are no such sites with lecture halls and galleries in Perm. And there is also a cool book "Piotrovsky", doubly proud that this is a Perm project. By the way, Yeltsin graduated from school and spent his childhood in the Perm region. "

Why Perm region not Lapland? Spent 5 days in Finland, finally, not passing through, at the invitation of @nokiantyrescom and @nokian_tyres_russia and I want to highlight strengths of this country. ⠀ ✔️Brand. For many, a winter fairy tale (snow, fireplace, deer, Santa) is Finland. The country has a powerful associative image. Hence, there are so many Asians here, for them it is a whole adventure to be in the cold. ⠀ ✔️ Northern Lights. Another enticement, which is not in most of Russia. In Russia, the most affordable places with a high glow intensity are Kola Peninsula from Murmansk region (if you do not take hard-to-reach places, such as Novaya Zemlya or Taimyr). ⠀ ✔️ Infrastructure. Hotels for all tastes, there are all kinds of igloos with glass ceilings to admire northern lights... But even without them - waking up surrounded by age-old snowy fir trees ... Airports in every small town are convenient. ⠀ ✔️Comfort. In Helsinki, there were no fatal accidents in 2019. Finland tops the ranking of the happiest countries northern Europe... Finland is recognized as the safest country for tourism in the world. ⠀ ✔️Activity. There is always something to do for you and the children. Husky riding, reindeer riding, ski resorts... You can just drive along the roads and meet hundreds of deer (we even saw a moose). ⠀ ✔️ Important little things. Every day we had lunch and dinner with live fire, often cooking right on it. It doesn't cost anything, but how cool it is to go frozen into a hotel (restaurant), and there is the aroma of a fire and something is being prepared in front of you. And this is in everything, the Scandinavian sense of taste. And the atmosphere. ⠀ 🙌Conclusion: the conditional Perm Territory has no chance to fight with such a strong competitor. We must admit that we are very far from developed countries (especially mentally and culturally). But there is a way out, corny, but it is improving the environment around you, step by step. And then you look and the very concept of domestic tourism will appear. Are you probably waiting for how I will integrate tires into this post?) Yes, no way :) So it is clear that Finnish = quality :) ⠀ #MishkaTravel #finland #suomi #lapland #adventurebynokiantyres #nokiantyres #hakkapeliitta

🤷🏻‍♂️What is my nationality? It was a shock for me. I thought for a long time that I was a Tatar, but it turned out that in me only 8% of the Tatar. A genetic test helped me learn more about myself. And, I tell you, my ancestors apparently did not travel much, almost all the blood is from the Ural-Volga region. ⠀ 👇So, my population composition is: ⠀ ⭕️Bashkirs - 36.00% ⭕️Udmurts - 24.00% ⭕️Marians - 12.00% ⭕️Tatars - 8.00% ⭕️Chuvash - 4.00% ⭕️Mishari - 4.00% ⭕️Russian - 4.00% 🤦🏻‍♂️Saamy - 4.00% ⭕️Shors - 4.00% ⠀ 🦌 It's funny about the Sami (I just went to visit them and the reindeer in Lapland), but this is easily explained by the fact that the Udmurts and Sami with Finns are in the same Finno-Ugric language movement and once went to new lands from the Ural lands :) As a result, 1/3 of me is Finno-Ugric (Udmurt), and the rest is Turkic, mainly Bashkir. The Russians 4% don't know how they got around :) ⠀ Then I studied the reports on my genome for 2 days. There are quite interesting and amusing data, for example, people with my genotype have a normal sensitivity to the smell of violets or people with my genotype are not prone to early graying. It also turned out that I have a low rate of caffeine neutralization and a reduced sensitivity to the smell and taste of cilantro :) ⠀ ❗️So, and quite serious results that make me think about my health. For example, I learned that I am a healthy carrier of a gene variant associated with hemochromatosis (a disorder of iron metabolism). No more hereditary diseases (uff) were found. I also have high risks for, say, migraines. And this worries me now, since I have been struggling with headaches all my life. Confirmed that I am lactose intolerant. ⠀ In short, if you read all the recommendations and reports with links to scientific articles that open in personal account, you can spend more than one working day on this. ⠀ ❓Where to go. Where can one buy. How much is. ⠀ Today the @atlas_russia genetic test is making a sale in honor of Cyber Monday and you can buy it with a cost of 11,900 rubles. Link to the sale - attached to the story. ⠀ 💁🏻‍♂️ Okay, as they say, Rәhmәt duslar and Tau eshyos! #MishkaTravel #bear_saaam

Have you ever met world famous people? I was always surprised by their openness and sociability, despite their status and fame. I have repeatedly (most often, of course, by chance) crossed paths with such people and they were all always united by one thing - crazy energy, after five minutes of communication with them you are charged so that you want to move mountains. So it was with JJ Johansson at the Sheremetyevo airport or with Mickey Rourke in one of the Los Angeles institutions. ⠀ Once again, I was convinced of this the other day in Finland, when, at the invitation of @nokiantyrescom and @nokian_tyres_russia, I visited Lapland, where I rode the track with the two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen. As a child, when all my friends were rooting for Michael Schumacher and Ferrari, I was for Mika and McLaren. We rode with the breeze, Mika spoke warmly about Russia, said that he had been there many times, called him to Perm, said that this was our Ural Lapland :) ⠀ And there was also a funny moment when I stole his car, I didn’t on purpose, just I wanted to test the tires on the track, and his car was the only one free at that moment. While he was posing for the guys for a photo, the test pilot and I stole his car :) Then he laughed, of course, he was not used to such incidents with thefts in his safe country) ⠀ In short, a solid positive. If you have had meetings with idols or others interesting stories on the topic of meetings with famous people, write, interesting. ⠀ #adventurebynokiantyres #nokiantyres #whitehell #hakkapeliitta

Collected answers to questions that people have that want to visit Nepal (based on our expeditions and the experience of organizing 16 trips). ⠀ 📍 Are there many tourists in Nepal? ✔️This is true, especially for the Annapurna route, which is even more popular than Everest. But we follow our original route, bypassing the crowds. Surprisingly, the branches from the main route, where there are few tourists, are also much more beautiful. ⠀ 📍I want to see Everest, how easy is it? ✔️ You can take an excursion on a small plane and fly towards Everest for $ 180, they will take you to the cockpit and show Everest and other mountains. ⠀ 📍 I have no experience, can I master the track? ✔️Special physical training is not needed for our trekking. If you easily endure daily walks with stops for tea and lunch (6 to 12 km per day per day), then there will be no problems. ⠀ 📍What is the comfort level? ✔️Tracking in Nepal is as comfortable as possible: no need to carry tents, food, waste precious time cooking or washing dishes. ⠀ 📍In what conditions will you have to live? ✔️We have comfortable hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara. On trekking, we spend the night in traditional Nepalese villages in small hotels and lodges (guesthouses), ⠀ 📍And wash up? How about charging your iPhone? ✔️ In the lodges you can have dinner, take a shower, charge the batteries and post a photo on Instagram :) ⠀ 📍What do they eat in the mountains? ✔️ Mostly simple rice dishes, lentils, curried vegetables, and for non-vegans everything is served with chicken, sometimes yak steaks. ⠀ 📍What best time for the trip? ✔️From early March to late April, from mid September to late November. It is rainy in summer, very beautiful in winter, and everything is open, but terribly cold. ⠀ 📍 How much does it all cost if you go with a group? ✔️The cost of a trip with us is $ 990 and there are still a couple of places to travel from March 6 to March 18. We have chosen the best time to visit these places, because In early spring, rains are very rare and the weather is usually sunny. In Kathmandu, it can reach +30 heat. Usually in the mountains from +10 to +25. ⠀ 📩If you have questions - write comments, my friend and guide to Nepal, @samarin_michael, will answer. And if you want to travel with us, then write to or direct to #nepal # nepal

The secret of the success of any northern hotel, as in the same Lapland, is: ⠀ ✔️ Floor-length windows overlooking the snow-covered forest and glass roofs, from which it is so convenient to admire the splendor of the northern sky (and in those latitudes it is not easy starry sky, but also the northern lights). ⠀ ✔️Hotels are not just made of high quality eco-friendly materials, they are, as it were, part of nature. I often show in Norway on expeditions a public toilet near the Skjerfsfossen waterfall. The building resembles a piece of rock, it was faced with slabs of local stone, and inside there are tall narrow windows and glass panels embedded in the floor, allowing you to look at the river, forest and mountains. To be honest, when the river is murmuring under you, and you are standing in the toilet with such a view ... I don't want to leave it :) ⠀ ✔нInstagramble. A beautiful place with a good location will make it so that there will be zero spending on marketing, and the download is complete. In Finland there is an emphasis on the igloo, look at these fantastic beauty hotels (PYHÄ IGLOOS, Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, PYHÄN ASTELI), there are also simpler forms (Northern Lights Ranch), traditional Sami dwellings - "kota" (like our chum) and even completely snow igloo (LUCKY RANCH). And in Sweden, for example, I lived in tree houses. ⠀ ✔️Atmsofera and Activity within an accessible radius from the hotel. ⠀ Now imagine that on the top of Mount Polyud in the north of the Perm Territory there is a modern eco-hotel (and at least without corrugated board). The huge windows overlooking the endless forests are especially impressive at sunrise and sunset (check these photos on Google!). You can get to it in winter either by reindeer (dog?) Sledding, or by snowmobile. At night, you admire the starry sky while lying in bed. In the morning, from the oven for breakfast, you are served cottage cheese pancakes with melted cottage cheese with cloudberries and barley cacha with hazel grouses in the style of Vladimir Mukhin :) ⠀ ❓Would you come here for a weekend?) year, according to rumors) and the house of the weather station, as well as some dilapidated building that is in the photo (switchboard?). I wonder if they will do something like in Lapdandia?) #Perm #perm #russia #winter #livefolk #folkscenery

There was a lot the first time these new year holidays... For the first time they celebrated in a new apartment, for the first time he went to fetch a Christmas tree, bringing it from the forest (everything is legal), for the first time Yuna consciously waited for a festive night and the chimes, for the first time they saw fireworks so close (right in front of the nose under the windows!). They were decorating the Christmas tree, for the first time Santa Claus left gifts under the tree, they rolled off the hills to their heart's content ... I'll remember these days just like in the video. ⠀ Enjoy your viewing! The video was divided into 2 parts in a carousel, the total timing is only one and a half minutes. ⠀ #perm #MishkaPapaYuny #winter #mood #snow #perm krai #russia #livefolk

✌️How to motivate yourself to do something? No way - stay in w * ne (s) Artemy Lebedev. ⠀ 🙌We agreed in advance with Leonidis (name has been changed) about a snowmobile transfer to Pole at dawn, but I wanted more so that he would take us immediately after to Vetlan and think about how to throw ourselves on the Remembered Stone. If the second location still requires some effort and effort, then the Vetlan stone is located 4 km away along a well-worn path at the meeting point at the fork on the road to Polyud. ⠀ And Leonidis thinks like this: the guys are generous (we waited a long time for the clouds to disperse, alas, we were unlucky, so we paid 1000 rubles per person instead of 650), I have already earned more than a morning money, so today you can have a rest. ⠀ I refused to take you to Vetlan. They asked us to drop us back to Polyud in the evening before sunset, he said he would call back. Of course, he did not call back :) Fortunately, there are snowmobilers on duty at the bridge, who easily threw us for 500 rubles per person to Vetlan. ⠀ Often in tourism (and not only in tourism), the problem of people is the lack of desire to work. Even if they have everything for this (time, knowledge and experience, snowmobile, Polyud, winter, tourists). You can motivate yourself as much as you like, read books about how people achieved some kind of success, but if you do nothing at all, then there is a chance to stay with Leonidis somewhere in the well ... :) ⠀ # Perm Krai # Perm # winter #russia #russia #snow #russia

📍Kamenny town in the Perm region. How to get. ⠀ ✌️ From the city to go to Stone town about 3 hours, that's 200 km. The route is easily googled in google maps, but maps.me always leads to the wrong place, do not use it. ⠀ 👋 Landmark: the village of Usva, after it there is a turn to Shumikhinsky and after 4 km on the right side there will be a parking winter time turns into a snowdrift :) We left the car, alas, right on the highway (out of despair). Walk along the path for 1.5 kilometers without climbing. ⠀ 🚌 On public transport: bus to Gubakha or Kizel to Usva (12 times a day from a car transporter from 400 rubles). It is better to ask the driver to drop off a little further on the lapel, and then we walk on foot or hope for those who stop and give up along the way 😀 (such is the cruel and harsh tourism in the region). In theory, there is still a train station, but it's better to just forget about it. ⠀ 🚕If there are several people, then it is wiser to take a taxi (Yandex writes 7000 rubles round trip). ⠀ There are travel agencies that take them on weekends for one day to these places, but I have not used it, and cannot recommend it. And I don’t want to, because the best time to visit is not in a crowd, but at sunrise or sunset. Therefore, without a car in any way. ⠀ It is better to combine with Usva pillars, which is also nearby. In one daylight hours, even in winter, you can manage. ⠀ # travelsheaded #perm #perm krai #russia #dji #djimavic #winter #mavicpro #dronephotography

🚫What should not be given categorically to travelers? Of course, power banks, I have 6 of them :)) It is also very difficult to guess with the equipment, since over the years attachment and love for certain materials and brands has already been formed. It's the same with photo equipment. ⠀ 👏 But hard drives - I'm always glad to see them under the Christmas tree (of any color and any size), but, of course, it is best that it be fast and fall-proof like the Adata HD680. This hard drive has several layers of casing, which protects it from impacts when dropped on a concrete floor from a height of up to 1.2 meters. But the most pleasant little thing I noticed is a special groove that allows you to keep the cable close at hand and not lose it during transportation (ingenious!). ⠀ ✌️ You can buy it at a great price in the @mvideo_ru store, and if you want to get it for free, then take part in the competition in the @Adata_Russia profile ⠀ #AdataRussia #AdataHDD

Elnar Mansurov - on how not to fall into the hands of the police, why a bear and where to find a visa-free analogue of Iceland

Probably everyone has seen pictures of a bear-headed guy who travels around the world. By the age of 29, Elnar Mansurov had already traveled about 70 countries, opened his own travel agency and organized several expeditions for those who are just as passionate about traveling. "Oil" attended a meeting with a famous Perm traveler.

What Elnar told about:

Why did I choose a bear mask and does he wear it constantly?
Where and how to search cheap tickets and why oh bargain purchase better not to tell anyone.
What you don't need to save on when preparing for a trip.
Where to find a visa-free and budget-friendly Iceland counterpart.

How did the story of the bear's head begin?

It all started back in 2007: I was looking for cheap tickets to go to Prague from Perm. Then the airline "KD Avia" only launched new flight in Western Europe, and therefore the tickets were quite cheap. The ticket cost me about 100-200 rubles for a one-way flight. Then, five people flew on the plane. Then I transferred to the Department of Tourism, delved into the topic of low-cost airlines and eventually defended my diploma in business models of low-cost airlines. After some time, I founded a company that helps travelers plan their trip: we deal with visa issues. Then a website and an Instagram blog appeared.

He came up with the idea of a polar bear as an alternative to the Perm coat of arms: a brown bear is depicted there. At first it was the site logo, and then the head appeared.

Where did you buy it and where did you go with it for the first time?

I ordered the head from a puppet master. You can look through it, but only through the nose. In general, I'm in it only for photography and video. It seems that the first region where I went with her was Valencia. We can say that these were Spain and Italy. By the way, people are suitable for taking pictures, especially children and especially in Asia.

"I always had a dream - to take my mother to the sea, because she has never been there"

How do you find cheap plane tickets?

Usually I compare the cost of tickets, for example, with a flight from Perm with tickets from Yekaterinburg. Often, it is much more profitable to fly from neighboring cities and it is easier to spend a few hours on the road to Yekaterinburg or another nearby city than to overpay several thousand rubles. I always advise you to subscribe to mailing lists from airlines, to sites that track cheap tickets and sales. I think, for a start, you can subscribe to the mailing list of the largest companies, for example, Aeroflot, S7, UTair, on the site vandrouki.ru and together with them look for offers convenient for you. Some companies arrange sales: for example, Air Baltic often has sales on some destinations, Air Berlin has a Valentine's Day promotion, when you can buy one ticket and get the second as a gift. This has its own tricks. It happens that the airline's booking system malfunctions, because of this, tickets are sold at a very low prices... The main thing here is to buy a ticket and not tell anyone about it. After this information about the erroneous fares gets on the network, cheap tickets are immediately sold out, and the airline corrects the error and can cancel the tickets. If one or two people bought such a ticket, then there is a greater chance that no one will notice the problem.

You always have beautiful photos on your blog. Tell me, what are you shooting for?

On the camera, on the iPhone. Now I have another quadcopter, I also shoot with it. Sometimes I take a GoPro with me. In fact, after trips, there are a lot of photos, rarely where I use them and post them in full.

You also shoot videos while traveling. Do you mount it yourself?

In most cases, no. I don't want to waste time on this, so I give it to my friends who are editing. It is more convenient for me to explain what I want to get, and already they are professionally engaged in assembling video into a full-fledged video. All videos take no more than one and a half minutes. I think it's much more convenient than watching a 40-minute video of the trip. It seems to me that in a minute you can tell a lot through a video.

How does your family feel about your frequent trips?

My parents, of course, worry about me, mainly due to the fact that I fly a lot (there are about 80 flights per year). In general, they support me and have a positive attitude to all trips.

Expedition Mishka.Travel to Norway

Did they travel more after becoming a "professional traveler"?

Yes of course! I always had a dream - to take my mother to the sea, because she has never been there. The first thing I did when I earned some money was to give my parents a trip to Egypt. I think every person in their life should see the sea!

Do you travel alone or with friends?

I have like-minded people with whom we are constantly traveling, for seven or eight years already. I also travel with my wife. I travel alone very rarely, only if these are some exotic destinations.

Has the high exchange rate influenced your travels?

No, I just started traveling a little differently, reduced my expenses a little, began to choose those directions where I had not yet been. In December, for example, I went to Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan. It's inexpensive, very beautiful nature, the beauty of the country is not inferior to Scandinavia. So if you dream of seeing Iceland, you can go to Kyrgyzstan, this is a much more budget option.

Which countries have you returned to over and over again?

IN THE USA. My friends and I drove around California, Arizona. I really like Iceland, some people think why go there if there is Kamchatka. I agree, but Iceland has great roads and nature is more accessible: you can travel just by renting a car. And in Kamchatka, you usually watch everything from a helicopter. I would like Russia to have such an infrastructure as well.

Many tourists come to your hometown Permian?

No, earlier the administration's policy was aimed at turning Perm into a kind of cultural capital Urals, to raise the cultural level of the city. A "cultural revolution" was carried out, then many people came from neighboring cities. Every day there was a festival (film festivals, theater festivals, White Nights, Space for Directing, KAMWA), good music bands performed on the street for free. For example, you go home from work, and Manu Chao, a French musician of Spanish origin, is performing on the street. His music is a synthesis of rock and Latin American music. Or Tricky, a British trip-hop musician. It was a time when young people did not want to leave Perm, everyone stayed. But after the change of the governor, the priorities changed a little, and now such events are not being held. Unfortunately, there are few tourists in Perm. Mostly now they come to rafting and to the Kungur cave.

Top Visa-Free Countries

1. Argentina;
2. Brazil;
3. Montenegro;
4. CIS countries (Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia).

You can usually find someone to fly with everywhere. I am looking for people or companies on the Internet who do this. But, for example, on Faroe Islands helicopters - public transport, you are taken to the island by helicopter and taken back. Basically, I just buy a ticket for 40 minute tours. Now I have a quadcopter, I think I will fly less - I will start to launch it.

What do you think of travel guides? Do you use them yourself?

The only travel guide I like is Lonely Planet. It is convenient because it allows you to quickly get acquainted with the country, with the main attractions. You should not completely trust him in terms of food or housing, but there is a lot of information about the history, culture of a city or country, some kind of geographical data. I even collect them, I have quite a few of these books.

Do you travel by camper or hitchhiker?

Before - yes, I even stayed with people through CouchSurfing, but now I have moved away from this. I like flights and accommodation in a hotel, apartment or house more. When we go on an expedition, we rent a big house. This is convenient because the more people there are, the less everyone has to pay for rent. Once there was a curious incident. I contacted the person through the AirBnb service, he gave me the key so that I could get into the apartment. It was night, I started to open the door in the house, but it did not open. I fumbled with her for some time, and at some point the police broke into the house. I had absolutely no idea what was going on. As a result, it turned out that one of the neighbors mistook me for a thief, thought that I was trying to open someone else's apartment and called the police. But in the end I explained everything and everything ended well.

"Every person in his life must see the sea"

Do you usually gather a lot of people into an expedition group?

We with our agency think over the route ourselves, interesting placesto visit. Everything is scheduled literally by day, where we go, what we'll see. This is more convenient for people than if they themselves were looking for all this information. The price usually includes accommodation, car rental (divided among all), transfer from one city to another, guide services, car rental. This does not include airfare, visa, insurance, meals, as well as spending on sightseeing. Usually there are 8-15 people in a group. If you are traveling with our expedition, then you save your time in the first place.

Do you think you have gained followers?

I think yes! Recently in Sochi one guy ordered a leopard's head from the same puppet master. He is a fan of HC Sochi, where the symbol of the club is the leopard.

Do you have any travel idols that you follow on the internet?

I follow the blog of Ilya Varlamov, he traveled to Somalia, Djibouti, Pakistan, Afghanistan, read his posts about these travels. And I follow others, but as a rule they often change, I find something new, I unsubscribe from old ones, I can't say specific names.

Tell me, how do you overcome the language barrier when communicating abroad?

For some reason everyone thinks that I'm a polyglot, but no, I only know english language, and even then at the school level. This is enough to communicate with foreigners, almost everywhere there are English speakers, so there are no problems.

What advice would you give to novice travelers or those who have never traveled abroad yet?

I think if you want to commit big Adventure, then you only need two visas - American and Schengen. There are too many problems with the British: you need to confirm the presence of a permanent job, a source of income, collect more documents than for the Schengen, besides the Schengen can be made for any country and ride with it throughout Europe. The easiest way to give visas to Russians is Spain, Italy, France. To visit some regions, you need an additional visa, for example, when entering Greenland, problems with the Schengen may arise - you will need a Greenland visa.

Why is Perm Krai not Lapland? Spent 5 days in Finland, finally, not passing through, at the invitation of @nokiantyrescom and @nokian_tyres_russia and I want to highlight the strengths of this country. In Russia, the most accessible places with a high glow intensity are the Kola Peninsula with the Murmansk region (if you do not take hard-to-reach places, such as Novaya Zemlya or Taimyr). ⠀ ✔️ Infrastructure. Hotels for all tastes, and there are all kinds of igloos with glass ceilings to admire the northern lights. But even without them - waking up surrounded by age-old snowy fir trees ... Airports in every small town are convenient. ⠀ ✔️Comfort. In Helsinki, there were no fatal accidents in 2019. Finland tops the ranking of the happiest countries in northern Europe. Finland is recognized as the safest country for tourism in the world. ⠀ ✔️Activity. There is always something to do for you and the children. Husky riding, deer riding, ski resorts. You can just drive along the roads and meet hundreds of deer (we even saw a moose). ⠀ ✔️ Important little things. Every day we had lunch and dinner with live fire, often cooking right on it. It doesn't cost anything, but how cool it is to go frozen into a hotel (restaurant), and there is the aroma of a fire and something is being cooked in front of you. And this is in everything, the Scandinavian sense of taste. And the atmosphere. ⠀ 🙌Conclusion: the conditional Perm Territory has no chance to compete with such a strong competitor.

It also turned out that I have a low rate of caffeine neutralization and a reduced sensitivity to the smell and taste of cilantro :) ⠀ ❗️So and quite serious results that make me think about my health. ⠀ In short, if you read all the recommendations and reports with links to scientific articles that open in your personal account, you can spend more than one working day on this.

So it was with JJ Johansson at Sheremetyevo airport or with Mickey Rourke in one of the Los Angeles institutions. ⠀ I was convinced of this again the other day in Finland, when, at the invitation of @nokiantyrescom and @nokian_tyres_russia, I visited Lapland, where I drove around the track with the two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen. As a child, when all my friends were rooting for Michael Schumacher and Ferrari, I was for Mika and McLaren. We rode with the breeze, Mika spoke warmly about Russia, said that he had been there many times, called him to Perm, said that it was our Ural Lapland :) I wanted to test the tires on the track, and his car was the only one free at that moment. While he was posing for the guys for a photo, the test pilot and I stole his car :) Then he laughed, of course, he was not used to such incidents with thefts in his safe country) ⠀ In short, a solid positive. If you have had meetings with idols or other interesting stories about meetings with famous people, write, interesting.

⠀ 📍What is the best time to travel? ✔️From early March to late April, from mid September to late November. It is rainy in summer, very beautiful in winter and everything is open, but terribly cold.

The secret of the success of any northern hotel, as in the same Lapland, is: ⠀ ✔️ Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a snow-covered forest and glass roofs, from which it is so convenient to admire the splendor of the northern sky (and in those latitudes it is not just a starry sky, but and the northern lights). At night, you gaze at the starry sky while lying in bed. In the morning, from the oven for breakfast, you are served cottage cheese pancakes with melted cottage cheese with cloudberries and barley cacha with hazel grouses in the style of Vladimir Mukhin :) ⠀ ❓Would you come here for a weekend?) year, according to rumors) and the house of the weather station, as well as some dilapidated building that is in the photo (electrical control room?). I wonder if they will do something like in Lapdandia?) #Perm # perm #russia #winter #livefolk #folkscenery

It was a lot for the first time on these New Year holidays.

How to get. ⠀ ✌️From the city, it takes about 3 hours to drive to the Stone Town, it is 200 km. The route is easily googled in google maps, but maps.me always leads to the wrong place, do not use it. ⠀ 👋 Landmark: the village of Usva, after it there is a turn to Shumikhinsky and after 4 km on the right side there will be a parking lot, which turns into a snowdrift in winter :) We left the car, alas, right on the highway (out of despair). Walk along the path for 1.5 kilometers without climbing. ⠀ 🚌 By public transport: bus to Gubakha or Kizel to Usva (12 times a day from the car transporter from 400 rubles).

Meet this Ural Lapland. A real snowy winter from fairy tales is here. Shades of red in a white-white forest can be seen only at sunrise and sunset, as well as in the form of frozen red rowan berries. ⠀ This is the Perm Territory. My native land.
