Gran Bahia Principe Tulum has passed our husband honeymoon. We had a combined tour, called Fly and Drive. We traveled the first five days of vacation alone on Yucatana on a rented car, and the remaining ten days enjoyed rest in Tulum!

I still can not say about one important moment: Hotel Gran Bahia Tulum enters the complex consisting of three hotels (Tulum, Akumal and Koba) located in close proximity to each other. The feature of the complex is that all vacationers can move and relax on any of the territories of hotels. We, for example, have dinner at the restaurants of the chaobs and Akumal, as well as having fun in the nightclub located on the territory of the carobes and went to the ideas in the Dolphinarium of Akumal.
The service was at a fairly high level. The rooms were cleaned daily, underwear and towels changed in a timely manner. Naturally, we left the tip, on the dollar for cleaning, as well as waiters for fast service. Waiters are very helpful, polite, attentive. As Returning Guests Me and My Fiance Got Engaged at this Resort Last Year and Returned for Our Anniversary Because Last Year We Absolutely Loved Everything about The Hotel, Staff, Food and Entertainment But This year The Room WE Had Been Giving and Made to Stay in for 2 Weeks Was. Absolutely Shocking, The Amount of Dirt That Were On the Walls Above Our Bed Especially Was Literally Black WHEN IT WERE MOUNDY AND WORST OF All WE Arrived to a Filthy Pillow on Our Bed Which The Maids Were Fully Aware Of this and Never Attempted to Change It and We Even Laid The First Side Facing Out from Bed and Not Only Was It Changed During The 2 Weeks !! Overall We Just Felt Like Our Room Was Totally Neglected and All The Maids Ever Did Was Give US Clean Towels and Make The Bed Nothing Else On The Upside As We Expected The Staff in The Restaurants, Receptions and the Entertainment Team Were Amazing, EsceciLY A Girl Named Maria Who is Part of Entertainment Team Who Teaches US A Little Bit of Spanish and Get To Know US On A Personal Level She Was Great.

We Stayed At Grand Bahia Principe Tulum The Last Week of August, I Was Totally Disillusioned With this Hotel, First of All It Does Definitely Not Merit A 5 Star Hotel Rating (Maybe 30 Yrs Ago). The Hotel Is Dated And The Rooms All On The Small Side, Most Definitely Not More Than 4 STARS, MOST Definitely Not A 5 Star Hotel. It "Sue Cheapest, Oldest and Worst Maintained of a 4 Part Hotel Complex. The Food Was Ok, Not 5 Star But Acceptable, The Pools Ok. Plenty of Poorly Paid Workers Around The Hotel But Just Because There Are" Help "DOESN" T Replace The Feeling That You "Re Getting Screwed On Facilities. The most Important Failing and Also The Most Alarming Are The State of Many of the Buildings / Guest Houses on the Complex. There IS A SEVERE PROBLEM WITH THE HUMIDITY AND VENTILATION SYSTEM IN MANY Of the Rooms. We Were Offered A ROOM on the ground floor with An Appalling Mould We refused to Stay There. This Smell Would Take Your Breath Away, It Was Overwhelming. Eventually We Were Moved to A Room In The ADJACEENT COMPLEX FOR THE GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE REPLACEMENT Room Was On The Third Floor of A Different Building (More Than 40 Units in Grand Principe) 900 Apartments in the Whole Hotel Complex. The Room Was On The 3rd Floor But Still Had a Humid Mold Smell, Although Not AS Strong As The First Offering. I Would Strongly Recommend Not Staying in This Hotel, Firstly for Not Being A Real 5 Star hotel And. Secondly The Grave Health Risk That Many Hotel Rooms Have. Such A Strong Mold Smell, Obviously Related with Poor Ventilation And The AC UNIT Would Automatically Be a Reason for Closing This Complex in the US or Europe. The Smell Was Totally Unacceptable But Present In Many Many Rooms AS We Experienced First Hand At Reception From Other Customers. Unpacking Our Clothes on Return, Our Clothes Were Impregnated with A Mould / Mildew Smell. My Advice If A Smell You Are Putting Your Health and That Of Your Family At Risk. Other Than This This 3/4 Star Hotel Will Met Your Needs. I Hope That IF You Decide to Go Book That You Will Have Better Luck Than Us.

We Travelled to Mexico to Celebrate My Dad "S 70th Birthday. We Had Heard Amazing Things ABOUT THE GRAND BAHIA PRINICIPE resort And. That is Why We Decided As A Family On This Being Our Destination. The Resort Ishelf Is Huge and Very Clean, However The Service Was Poor. Upon OUR Arrival IT Took Over An Hour to Check-in. 3 Out of Our 9 Family Members Were In Another Villa Which Made It Hard To Be Together. The Service In The Main Buffet Restaurant Was Rushed, Inexperiened and Poor and The Food Was Repetitive. I ALSO FOUND ALOT OF THE LOCALS AT THE RESORT ON DAY PASSES WHICH WAS UNEXPECTED. Maria and Javier of the Entertainment Crew Were Great. The Lack of Service Was a Real Disappointment.

To Justify Mi Opinion I Traveled Many Hotels From *** - ***** Hotels All Over The World and Know Its Not Standard What GBP Tulum Is Offering You for Such A Price! Thats a joke! And by What I Saw By The Lobby I Wasn't The Only One Super Disappointed !! Not coming Back to Any Grand Bahia Principe Hotels There Are Better Places with Outstanding Service Out on Ter. I Do Not Recommend That Place Anymore!
