Where is the calmest sea in Vietnam. Beaches and sea in Vietnam. Is there a beach vacation in Vietnam? Travel medical insurance in Vietnam

Vietnam has been breathing down the back of Thailand's head for a long time. Even fierce Tai lovers are increasingly choosing Vietnamese resorts. In Vietnam it is cheaper, and the climate is the same, and the sea is there! But how to find the best Vietnamese resorts and beaches and not lose it?

Vietnam boasts 3,400 km of coastline. The endless sea surface, sandy beaches, hidden coves, magnificent lagoons and tropical islands attract beach-hungry seekers. warm sea... Let's take a look at the best beaches in Vietnam and maybe pick the best of the best Vietnamese resort. Although it won't be easy, I'll tell you right away.

Climate on popular beaches of Vietnam

But first of all, before planning a trip, falling in love with colorful photography, you need to find out what season will be at this time at the resort you like. Otherwise, the picture in reality may be far from what you saw on the Internet or in a magazine. Dirty, muddy water, huge waves and daily rain are common in Vietnam during the rainy season.

Most of Vietnam's popular beaches are located in the southern part of the country. There good seasonwhen the sky is clear, the sun is hot, there are no clouds and rains from October to February. The rainy season lasts from June to October. It brings regular rains and even typhoons.

But there are wonderful seaside resorts in the north, not far from Hanoi. Best time to visit Vietnamese northern beaches - from May to August.

Almost any popular southern seaside resort Vietnam can be easily reached from Ho Chi Minh City. Vung Tau, Phan Thiet, and Mui Ne are within a few hours by car or bus from Ho Chi Minh City.

Vung Tau is also visited by water comets on the Mekong several times a day. The duration of the trip is just over an hour. but the sea there is not for everybody - muddy and restless. But all hotels and cafes are cheap and cheap!

And planes fly to Phu Quoc Island from Ho Chi Minh City almost every hour. Therefore, if you are planning a winter vacation in the south of Vietnam, look for flights to Ho Chi Minh City.

I suggest looking here. You will not find cheaper.

So, description and photos of the beaches and resorts of Vietnam.

Phan Thiet

Phan Thiet has long been a fishing village famous for making the famous fish sauce. Now about 75 thousand people live in the city regularly. During the season, there are much more people at the expense of those who come to rest.

Phan Thiet is today a picturesque fishing town. Every day hundreds of colorful fishing boats can be seen in the sea, sailing nearby. The nearest beach is the central one, right in the city. And then there are the remote beaches that are a few kilometers east of the city.

It is located about 20 kilometers from Phan Thiet. Therefore, tourists often confuse these two names. In fact, there is no big difference, because the climate and the sea in Phan Thiet and in Mui Ne are the same, and the distance between them is symbolic.

Mui Ne is home to the most popular kiting and surfing schools in Vietnam. Plus there are some more sights - sand dunes, palm trees, seafood restaurants. But the main thing for which they go to Mui Ne is kiting and windsurfing schools, of which there are a great many in Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, both with foreign instructors and with Russians.

My opinion - as a seaside and beach resort of Mui Ne, so-so, not for everybody.

Vung Tau

Vung Tau is one of the most popular resorts in Vietnam among the locals. It is usually very crowded from December to May. To be honest, Vung Tau beaches cannot be compared to other beaches in Vietnam, they are dirtier and not as picturesque. But its proximity to Ho Chi Minh City makes Vung Tau the most popular destination of the season.

Most of the holidaymakers there are Vietnamese, but there are also foreign tourists. In addition, there are Russian expats in Vung Tau who work in the city's oil refineries.

Nha Trang is the most popular Vietnamese resort

Nha Trang is called the Vietnamese Riviera. Although, to be honest, the Riviera has gotten pretty dirty over the past few years. Often the water in the sea is muddy, and a lot of garbage is thrown onto the shore by waves, especially in windy weather.

But when the sea is calm and the sky is blue, the sea water is azure and transparent. And you understand that if you are looking for the best resorts in Vietnam, then you should go straight to Nha Trang.

That's when it's time to arrange a boat trip. Boat trips are perhaps the most popular tourist activity in Nha Trang. Most Nha Trang travel agencies offer day trips that include scenic views, sailing in the sea from the yacht, and homemade Vietnamese lunch, plus soft drinks and cold beer.

Phu Quoc is the most beautiful resort in Vietnam

Phu Quoc is a stunning island located off the coast of Kampot in Cambodia, also known as the "new Phuket". Although there are still much less people there than in Phuket. But in beauty it is, perhaps, not inferior to the famous Thai island. Although, personally, Fukuok reminded me more of another Thai island - Koh Chang.

Fukuoka has many wonderful beaches, both popular, with developed infrastructure, and uninhabited. There is always a choice. And whatever you choose, clear water and soft clean sand can always be found on any beach in Fukuoka. For more details with photos and descriptions of how to get to each beach, read.

The entire coast of the island is covered with the finest white sand, and the sea with a turquoise hue attracts all beach lovers. If nothing is planned besides a beach holiday, then Da Nang can be an ideal place to spend your vacation.

4th place - Vung Tau beach

The seventh position in the list of the best beaches among other beaches in Vietnam is occupied by the Vung Tau coast. This coast is often called "elite", as the elite of society used to live here.

2nd place - Lang Ko Beach

The ninth, among all the best beaches in Vietnam, is Lang Ko Beach, located in the resort city of Hue.

Vietnam is a wonderful place with an incredible number of beaches both on the mainland and on the island part of the country. All beaches are washed by the warm South China Sea.

Top 7 - beautiful places in Vietnam

1) Phu Quoc Beaches

Phu Quoc Island is located in the southern part of Vietnam, rich in beaches and picturesque seascapes. Fukuoka beaches are clean beaches with white sand, there are not so many tourists here, so here you can retire and feel like the sole owner of all this splendor. Only a small part of the island has equipped beaches; tourists, hotels, cafes are concentrated on such beaches.

Long Beach

Another name for this beach is Duong Dong. Perhaps one of the largest beaches in Fukuoka, 5-7 km long. This beach is quite a lively place, it is equipped with sun loungers and is popular with tourists. The beach itself is clean and comfortable - it is carefully monitored and cleaned regularly. It is here that the main hotels and cafes of the island are concentrated.

How to get there: This beach is impossible to miss due to the large number of hotels located close to the beach and the sea.

Bai Sao (Sao Beach / Bai Sao)

This place resembles a lost paradise. A clean beach with fine white sand, the sea enchanting with its turquoise color, palms desperately stretching to the sea surface - give the beach its unique charm. It should be noted that there are no more than 2 hotels nearby, so if you want to live a couple of days in a secluded place, in your personal paradise, this place is perfect.

How to get there: Located in the northwest of Fukuoka. Many excursions include a visit to this secluded beach, so you can simply book a tour and be transported to Bai Sao (Sao Beach / Bai Sao). You can get there on your own by renting a motorcycle.

Bãi Dài beach

Bai Dai Beach or Bai Dai Beach, once considered one of the secluded beaches of Fukuoka, has recently become a popular tourist destination. The infrastructure is being actively built here - hotels, cafes and various entertainment establishments. A feature of this beach is considered to be soft white sand, a clean and tidy beach and a wonderful landscape, enchanting with its genuine beauty.

How to get there: getting to this place is quite problematic due to its remoteness (about an hour away by moped).

2) Beaches of Nha Trang

Nha Trang is primarily a beach holiday, there are many hotels, cafes, restaurants, shops near the sea. The beaches are clean and equipped with everything a tourist needs. From November to mid-February, Nha Trang is not the most the best place for swimming, as strong winds raise quite impressive waves.

The beach will become confused for 7 km along the city, covering almost the entire tourist area of the city. In general, the beach is clean and well-groomed, the sand is fine yellowish. In the daytime, when the sun bites especially, the beach is deserted, but in the evening, somewhere from 16.00-20.00 in the evening, the beach is filled with people and becomes a very lively place in the city.

Along the beach there are small sports grounds with exercise equipment, where people are actively engaged in their health. On the benches people are chatting nicely. Children laugh and run at breakneck speed. Sometimes companies sit along the cobbled paths and have picnics.

At 9-10 pm, the beach becomes deserted again, you can come at this time and sit in solitude with your soul mate and eat fruit, the beach is illuminated by floodlights at this time, so the beach looks unusual and at the same time safe.

How to get there: You can walk from any hotel in the tourist area.

Bai Dai

Another noteworthy beach in Nha Trang, the full name is Khu Du Lịch Bãi Dài. It is located on the site of the former military base of Nha Trang, so the place has not yet been filled with cafes and hotels, but sellers and small cafes with seafood are slowly gathering here. Many people already know about this beach, so it is not as isolated as it might seem. The beach is not monitored, so in some areas of the beach you can stumble upon garbage. In general, the beach is cozy and comfortable, stretching almost 15 km, 15 kilometers of white sand.

How to get there: by taxi or motorbike, 20 km (15 minutes) south of Nha Trang.

Zoklet Beach, Nha Trang (Doc Let)

It is also called Doklet beach, the beach stretches for 10 km along the sea. The place is quite developed and has everything a tourist needs - hotels, swimming pools, cafes, various shops, the beach is equipped, there are sun loungers, umbrellas. Zoclet is beautiful place with fine white sand and palm trees along the coast. Due to the distance from the city, tourists prefer to stay on this beach for the whole day.

How to get there: 45 km north of Nha Trang, you can get there by taxi and motorbike.

3) Beaches Mui Ne, Phan Thiet

Mui Ne and Phan Thiet often go together because of their small distance from each other. Mui Ne is a tourist resort, most of which are Russian tourists. There is a long strip along the resort sandy beach, conventionally divided into three beaches: Ham Tien East Beach, Mui Ne Central Beach, Puhai.

This place attracts lovers extreme species water sports, surfers and kiters. The beach itself is quite large - about 5 km. The beaches themselves are clean, the only thing is that construction is underway in some places of the beach, so be careful, there are iron pins hidden under the sand in such places, stepping on which can hurt your feet. They try to remove them right away, but sometimes they miss them.

We like this beach because it is not crowded here, you can completely move away to a respectful distance from everyone who also came to enjoy the paradise seascape of Mui Ne. You can often meet people on the beach jogging.

The only problem with the central beach is the way to get to the beach, as it is difficult to get to the beach due to the abundance of wall to wall hotels. We walked through the grounds of the first line hotels or through small alleys in the center of the resort. Here, of course, it is better to rent hotels near the sea, since they have direct access to the sea.

How to get there: For resort area Mui Ne.

4) Da Nang beaches

A large number of beaches in Da Nang are located within the city or in its vicinity. The beaches were not spoiled by tourists until recently, now the beaches of Da Nang are slowly gaining popularity.

Chinese Beach (China Beach or Bac My An)

China Beach is popular with tourists from all over the world, thanks to the soft fine sand and developed infrastructure, the beach has won many. The beach is cleaned regularly, so the beach area is very clean. From September to December, when the waves begin to rise, many surfers flock to the beach.It is here that the International Surfing Championship has been held since 1992.

If you are not afraid to be stung by a red jellyfish, whose burns are quite painful, then come here in June, the rest of the time the beach is ideal for swimming.

How to get there: located 7 km south of the city center.

5) Lang Co Beach in Hue

The beach stretches for 10 km. Despite the proximity to the road, the place is quite quiet. The beach is suitable for family vacation with children, since the depth of the sea on the coast is only a meter. In general, the beach is not crowded, very clean, palm trees grow along the beach, so if you get tired of the annoying sun, you can sit in their shade.

How to get there: the beach runs along the motorway, separated by a small hill.

6) Beach in Ha Long Bay )

This place can be called one of the most stunning places in the world, the Halong Bay itself was included in the UNESCO list in 1994 as natural monument world heritage... Tourists are attracted primarily by the unusual landscape bordering on something genuinely magical. It is this place that poses for advertising holidays in Vietnam on postcards, brochures and various commercials. The beaches are covered with artificial sand, the water here is not transparent, but despite this, the place really looks like a heavenly place on Earth.

How to get there: from Hanoi to tourist bus (about 200,000 VND) in 3-4 hours, by bus from Hanoi from Long Bien, Gia Lam Station, My Dinh or Luong Yen bus stations to Halong city (about 50-60,000 VND) in 5-6 hours.

7) Cat Co and Cat Dua about Cat Ba

If you are attracted by crystal clear water, then this is the place for you, here the water is so clear that even at a depth of several meters you can see the bottom. Clean beaches with snow-white soft sand cannot leave anyone indifferent. On weekends, there are many tourists (Vietnamese and Chinese) on the beaches, and on weekdays you can enjoy peace and quiet.

How to get there: Cat Ba Island can be reached by ferry from Binh Station or from Dinh Vu Station in Haiphong City. You can also sail from Halong by boat.

A clean, cozy, uncrowded beach and a warm, pleasant sea are such important things for every tourist and for every traveler. Let's see which of the Vietnamese beaches is worthy of attention?

Useful about Vietnam

About the beaches of Vietnam

We will compare the beaches of 4 Vietnamese resorts: Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hoi An and Mui Ne. We lived in Nha Trang and Hoi An for many months, in Fukuoka and in Mui Ne we stayed only for a few days. Therefore, we give the most complete information, of course, only for the first two resorts. Please, if you have anything to say, make additions in the comments to this post.

Hoi An city

Small town with great history... Very beautiful center, a sea of small temples and museums. This city is almost unknown to our tourists, and I was even scolded once for telling everyone about this wonderful city (quote: "Russian tourists will come in large numbers and they will spoil everything, let them sit in Mui Ne better"). I don't know where Russian tourists get such a dislike for Russian tourists, but I continue to praise Hoi An and its magnificent beach.

Hoi An Beach

The best time to visit, in our opinion, is from May (maybe April) to August.

Pros of a Vietnamese beach in Hoi An

 1. long coastline, gently sloping entrance, nice sand, moderately clear water (not perfectly transparent, do not forget that this is the South China Sea, perfect transparency is simply impossible here);
 2. clean and not crowded.

Minuses

 1. It is located far from the city center (where most of the hotels are concentrated), so you need to either rent a bike (ride 10 minutes) or take a taxi or walk on foot while exploring the city at the same time.

Hoi An is very cute, we did not live in the city itself, but almost in rice fields:)) rented a room from the Vietnamese:

Therefore, we got to the city itself once or twice a week, but still in 3 months we managed to see all the coolest places, which we will write about a little later.

City map

Nha Trang city

When we were in Nha Trang: August - October `13, December` 13, January - March `14, July - December` 14.

The best time to visit, in our opinion, is from February / March to September.

This city, however, like Mui Ne, is extremely popular among our compatriots. Russian signs, Russian menus - sometimes it seemed that you were not in Vietnam, but in Sochi. The city has both pluses and minuses, but it seemed to us that there are much more pluses. We fell in love with Nha Trang with all our hearts for the beautiful city center, very cheap food and accommodation (do not forget that we live not as tourists, but as locals), for the friendly staff of any place wherever we turn, for a large number of most interesting places, and most importantly, for a good beach.

pros

 1. the city beach is moderately clean, comfortable, not very crowded during the day;
 2. the entrance is shallow, there are no sea animals, stones and large shells;
 3. the sand is pleasant, not contaminated with small stones, leaves or grass;
 4. thanks to the long and wide coastline, tourists are evenly distributed along the beach, without interfering with each other;
 5. coma city beach there are several more beaches near the city and on the islands (all information on them in a separate post, the link is given above).

This is a city beach:

This is Zoklet beach (located a few kilometers from the city):

Minuses

 1. Perfect cleanliness is not about Nha Trang. To tune in to a European-class resort means ruining your vacation. This is Vietnam, the local population has a peculiar attitude to cleanliness, so if the shore is not cleaned up in time, you will be unhappy. See big photo, the benefit of them and in our blog and in general on the Internet the sea. Negative reviews mainly come from those who lived on the Zoklet beach and studied that territory well: the beach itself is very cool, clean and comfortable, but it is worth a little step away from it and there is already a trash can. Conclusion: do not leave and you will be satisfied :)
 2. In the evenings, the city beach becomes crowded: the Vietnamese have picnics, relax and swim.

We have seen many beaches in Southeast Asia, and if you are interested in our opinion, then we highly recommend lying on the beaches of Nha Trang, but strictly from March to September. In other months it is not so cool there.

In great detail about all the beaches of Nha Trang

Nha Trang Map

Phu Quoc island

When we were on the island: November '13

The best time to visit, in our opinion: never)) well, or in 2-3 years, when everything is completed there.

The visit to Phu Quoc Island was perhaps our biggest mistake during our travels. In short, the island can be described as follows: an actively developing resort, which now consists mainly of construction projects and garbage cans. It is worth going there only when there is at least one large store, at least one good restaurant, at least one finished road and at least 10 times less garbage. At the end of 2013, this was not there. The prices are very high, the level of service is very low. However, you might be interested in that there are many beautiful places with untouched nature. Now only coastal areas islands, so if you go inland, you will see forests and fields, there are almost no people there. There is the Phu Quoc National Park, which is highly praised. We talked in detail about the island itself here:

As it seemed to us, the only plus of Phu Quoc Island is Long Beach.

Pros of a Vietnamese beach on Phu Quoc Island

 1. it is long (albeit rather narrow), the coast is gentle;
 2. the sand is very delicate, and I wanted to bury myself in it and forget;
 3. crowded, but in moderation, no one bothers anyone;
 4. the shore is clean, it is clear that it is taken care of and often cleaned;
 5. well-kept houses, lawns, flowers and bushes nicely complement the rest, I wanted to sunbathe - sunbathe, I wanted to relax in the shade - hide under a palm tree on the lawn.

Minuses

 1. concrete barriers designed to prevent sand from eroding. They, apparently, are very necessary, but it is very easy to break a leg about them (they are not in the pictures below, see the detailed one);
 2. there is absolutely no feeling of freedom and space, a narrow strip of good sand is not something for which it is worth going all the way from Russia.

When we expressed our negative opinion about the island on Facebook, we received in response 2 photos from the beach of the Canary 3 * hotel (the girl was vacationing on Phu Quoc Island in 2012 and was very pleased with it):

The sewage pipe and sticks sticking out of the water also delighted the girl:

Well, to each his own.

Mui Ne

When we were in: January`14

Best time to visit: November to April.

Tourist area in the south of Vietnam. It is called the paradise of kitesurfers. And it is also a very popular vacation spot for our compatriots, therefore, like in Nha Trang, there are many Russian signs and in every cafe there is a menu in Russian. Prices are overpriced only for housing, but not for food in cafes. Very tasty and satisfying food. Mui Ne is one street. Seriously. Just one long street.

We were in Mui Ne only for a few days and were not satisfied with it.

After this article, someone agreed with our opinion about bad beaches, someone believed that our photos were unreal (they even expressed the opinion that the chickens were painted on :)) and talked about their excellent vacation. We asked around friends and acquaintances, looked for information on the net and made small excursion with specific facts and figures. Only photos of the beaches will be shown here, only liked / disliked about the hotels will be said. To make it easier to navigate, we now have a map with green marked expensive hotels, yellow - hotels from $ 50 and red - from $ 12.

Expensive hotels

Only one person (who at first scolded me, but later turned out to be a very good interlocutor and now also our subscriber) spoke about his experience of staying in an expensive hotel. Most of the other people vacationed in Mui Ne on a budget.

Romana Resort & Spa

Hotel: liked it

Cost: $ 3,760 for a few days. Private house with private pool and breakfast.

Beach: liked

Visiting time: Spring 2014

Quote: “The beach is constantly guarded and is closely monitored for the safety of the guests. The shore is constantly cleaned during the day, especially during stormy waves. We had a gorgeous honeymoon in beautiful hotel with great furnishings and excellent service... And, by the way, about the fact that all beaches are similar ( comment on our photos) - a deep lie! How many of them were bypassed, everywhere it was clean and beautiful, they did not come across unkempt ”.

Hotels from $ 50 per day.

1. Haiau Resort

Hotel: did not like

Cost: unknown, but now the prices are: $ 50 per day.

Beach: did not like

Time of visit: December 2013 - January 2014

Quote: “When we were choosing a hotel, no one could definitely advise anything, and the forums say nothing about the case. Advantages: the hotel was created for surfers, separate houses (rooms), prices in the area are much lower for food, things than in the center, New Year's concert. Disadvantages: the rooms are very old, they are not cleaned - only the towel is changed, far from the resort area, the coastline is very dirty (everything is in shells, jellyfish, the fish is cleaned right there, the smell is appropriate). "

3. Central Mui Ne beach

Information on the beach only.

Time of visit: December 2013

Quote: “If you are going to Mui Ne with a child, and even during the kiting season, keep in mind that you will swim mainly in the pool. There is another option - to rent a hotel not in the center of the Russian beach, but not far from the Red Dunes in Mui Ne. There are several luxury hotels there. There are noticeably fewer waves, and the sea is cleaner. You can already swim there with your child. " Another quote: “On central beach it was practically impossible to swim. To be honest, even in calm weather, there was no desire to land and rest at all. There is a lot of rubbish, the sea is unclear and dirty. "

Author of quotes and photos.

Hotels from $ 12 per day

1. Rang Dong Resort

Hotel: disliked

Cost: $ 12 and $ 16 per day.

Beach: did not like

Time of visit: January 2014

This is our hotel and our beach, we wrote about them in more detail in the post about Mui Ne. There are only a couple of photos here.

On our beach roosters and hens grazed.
Later we were assured that this could not be in Mui Ne. Probably, they are right, only we had chickens, ducks walked at other points. Very cute.

Cost: $ 16 per day.

Beach: liked

Time of visit: March 2014

“There was the sea behind the gate. It is difficult to call this place a beach, there were round fishing boats and nets were drying. Moving a little further, you could swim. And in the evenings by the sea it was just magnificent - palm trees, stars, the sound of waves and - no one was around. What a miracle this place! "

Source of quotes and photos.

3. Sunrise Village

Hotel: liked it

Cost: $ 18 per day.

Beach: did not like

Time of visit: May 2013

“We will also consider the location of the future hotel. It seems like the place we had was not so hot. But let's say, almost directly behind our hotel, the coast paved with concrete began. Some may like it, some may not. "

And a few more photos of Mui Ne.
