With the beginning of winter, skiers take out their equipment and start choosing a resort. Having paid attention to Europe, they consider several dozen places in different countries... To make the choice a little easier, we have compiled a rating of the best. These ski resorts have earned the trust and love of visitors. The top includes not only places popular all over the world in Switzerland and Italy, but also lesser known places like Finland, Romania and others.

When evaluating the resorts, we took into account the cost of ski passes, the number and length of routes, the quality of the lifts and staff. We did not forget about the reviews of visitors, they made their recommendations and wishes. The positions were arranged according to the combination of these qualities. However, both the last and the first place will ensure unforgettable vacation in Europe.

TOP 10 best ski resorts in Europe

10 Chamonix, France

Legendary glaciers, freedom for freeriders
170 km of pistes, great for confident skiers
On the map: France, Chamonix
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.5

Chamonix, a French ski resort founded in 1907, opens the ranking of the best in Europe. Today it is considered one of the most suitable places for experienced skiers. The season runs from November to March, although the resort is open all year round... There are 3 ski areas connected by free buses. The most experienced go to the Gran Monte slopes with several black runs and a huge freeride course. There is also the Argentiere glacier. The border with Switzerland is just 50 meters from the edge of the resort, so most of the tourists are from there.

In total, Chamonix has 170 km of trails, developed infrastructure and nature, which is carefully protected. It is considered inexpensive for Europe, and the only weak point was the ski lifts. Many of them are about to be replaced, some of them don't even have a wind shield. The weather in the resort is changeable, there are fogs and blizzards. Then visibility drops greatly, freeride is limited or warned of the danger of breaking. Speaking of the latter, there are many avalanches and crevasses in Chamonix, especially close to the summit. They are covered with snow, but driving there is risky. It seems to us that there are more suitable resorts for beginners and families with children, we will consider them further.

9 Zell am See, Austria

Year-round glacier skiing
The most beautiful resort in the country, good infrastructure
On the map: Austria, Zell am See
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.5

Zell am See - relatively inexpensive resort Austria, where you can find a track of any complexity, from educational for children to high-speed black. Tourists are advised to come from late December to late March, although the glacier is open all year round. Experts prefer the trail at the top, from where they offer excellent views of the entire valley. Several slopes of medium difficulty are often congested, you have to wait your turn. Many people note the long trail to Schuttdorf with its mountain lake. Tired of skiing from the slopes, guests visit the skating rink, ride in horse sleds, take a sled and go to the illuminated slope.

Near Zell am See is a town with medieval buildings, where most of the tourists live. Transport travels through a long tunnel so as not to disturb the atmosphere. The slopes in the resort are divided into zones for beginners and professionals. Here, as in many places in Europe, the slopes are made unique, alternating views of the mountains, valley and lake. Before the trip, you need to take into account that it takes about 30 minutes to get to the resort from the hotel, the buses are very busy. On the lower trails for beginners, rocks and ice are visible at the beginning and end of the season, you need to be careful.

8 Levi, Finland

The most convenient location of slopes and lifts
Skiing from October to May, 230 km of pistes
On the map: Finland, Levi, Hissitie 8
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.5

Levi is a large piste system, updated every year, which covers the mountain from all sides. Holidays in Finland challenge even experienced skiers, only the pros can test each slope! And beginners love gentle slopes, heavy snow cover and temperatures slightly below freezing. The lifts are located close to the hotels, allowing you to make the most of your time. And if you're lucky, you can see northern Lights... There are 3 black runs for experts, but most of the resort is equipped for families with children. The ski school teaches all popular winter sports.

Visitors celebrate 230 km of cross-country trails and over 880 km of snowmobile trails. Tired of the mountains, tourists go to snow parks, send children with educators to children's slopes and relax in restaurants. Only here in Finland you can ride the cable car and watch the slalom championship. Parents love the inexpensive playground with sports and entertainment. Older children are sent to school with an instructor. Here the nanny speaks Russian, like many trainers. The only thing that can be noted is that the beautiful mountain landscapes of Austria or Switzerland cannot be found here. There are no red runs, only green, blue and black.

7 St. Moritz, Switzerland

Most popular resort in Europe
Resting place for wealthy tourists, slopes for any level
On the map: Switzerland, St. Moritz
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.6

Many have heard about St. Moritz, because it is considered one of the most luxurious in the world. 6 Garmisch-Panterkirchen, Germany

Long runs, many gentle slopes
Skiing from mid November to early May
On the map: Germany, Bavaria, Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.6

Garmisch-Panterkirchen is located in the north of the Eastern Alps, next to the high point countries - Zugspitze. Comparing a resort in Germany with Italy or Austria, you will notice that the former takes up little space. However, long trails attract tourists from all over Europe. Beginners slowly slide down the green and blue gentle slopes. Guests are more confident moving to the red high-speed routes. Pros slide off black slopes with big elevation differences. Garmisch-Panterkirchen has everything - untreated areas with a snowcat, gentle and steep slopes, bumps, ice and deep snow. The tracks are very compact.

Users in the reviews note the developed infrastructure: 46 lifts carry guests to the peaks, next to each there is a slope diagram and instructors. Those who are tired of skiing are advised to visit the Apres-Ski amusement park. There are shops, sledges and skates for rent, restaurants, hiking trails and kindergarten. The temperature in the season drops to -25, it is recommended to dress warmly. All hotels are located far from the ski lifts, the journey without a car will take about an hour. Since there is only one road to the resort, there are always traffic jams in the mornings and evenings, there are a lot of people on the tracks.

5 Lech, Austria

The best ski rides
The only place in the country where heli-skiing is allowed
On the map: Austria, Lech am Arlberg
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.7

Leh is one of the unique places offering access to the White Ring. This one-of-a-kind ski attraction has been in use for over 50 years and offers amazing trails, cable cars and lifts. They are the centerpiece of the ski resort, although it already has a lot to offer. Visitors waiting for 95 cable carsdeveloped in the last century and regularly updated. Leh is available for any kind of training, there are soft and gentle slopes, instructors and group lessons. The cost of a ski pass per day is 53 euros for an adult, which is quite expensive for Austria. However, this resort is the only one in the country where heli-skiing is allowed - riding with a transfer to the top by helicopter.

A little further down the mountain there is a slope for snowboarders with a pipe 1,200 meters long. Nearby there are trails for pros: black and red slopes over 2 km long. There are also spaces for free skiing. It should be noted that there are many very expensive hotels and restaurants in Lech; in Austria it is considered elite. It will not be possible to save money, the general public corresponds to the prices - German pensioners, local aristocrats and successful businessmen. It is recommended to book the best seats in advance, sometimes a year in advance. You have to take a bus to the most interesting and picturesque slopes.

4 Formigal, Spain

Highest point - 2 250 m, learning to ride in groups
On the map: Spain, Huesca, Formigal
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.7

Formigal offers wide illuminated routes for beginners and intermediate levels, so people come here with children. In 2007, several high-speed lifts, snow cannons, a mogul track and two winter parks... There is always a lot of snow here during the season, everything is new and modern. The beginner trails are located at 2,250 meters above sea level and offer stunning views. The vertical drop is 740 m - enough to challenge the pros. Tired of skiing, guests go to the amusement park, restaurants, wine cellars and bars. Formigal is a mountain village that retains a cozy atmosphere despite its popular resort.

Upon arrival, guests are invited to study at the school (in a group or individually). An hour of classes costs 42 euros, but there are many discounts and great deals. The resort prices are average in Europe and much lower than most of the positions in the rating. Automatic lifting tracks are installed on small slides, equipment rental booths are placed throughout the site. In addition to the slopes, spa centers, educational excursions to wineries, playing golf, and visiting a wildlife park are available to visitors. The only weak point of the resort is the strong wind that blows almost the entire season.

3 Poiana Brasov, Romania

14 km of slopes, several jumps, skiing from November to March
On the map: Romania, Poiana Brasov

2 Zermatt, Switzerland

Best for number of steep descents
Possibility to climb the highest lift station Klein Materhorn
On the map: Switzerland, Zermatt
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.9

The second place among the best is taken by Zermatt, which surpasses other resorts in the number of slopes for experienced skiers. It is most popular with professionals, many of the tracks have steep slopes at a significant height. It is here that the famous Klein Materhorn station (3,885 meters) is located, from where the black and red slopes begin. Beginners and families with children are attracted by nature, for them a huge number of observation platforms, excursions, the famous Glacier Express runs.

The total length of the tracks is 360 km, the height difference is more than 2 km. Most of them are red slopes (220 km), a significant part was occupied by black slopes (62 km). The freeride season opens in January, when the most risky skiers come. There is enough space for everyone, guests are transported by 72 lifts and a large train. Lift pass is quite expensive compared to other European resorts - from 340 euros for 6 days, but skiing is exceptional. Beginners may find quieter places suitable, but the pros of slopes better than Zermatt are difficult to find.

1 Livigno, Italy

Diverse slopes, calm weather
Length of tracks - 115 km, modern infrastructure
On the map: Italy, Livigno, Via Bondi, 120B
Rating (by customer reviews): 4.9

The leader of the rating is Livigno - an Italian resort on the border with Switzerland, which is visited by tens of thousands of skiers every year. The place appeared at the beginning of the last century, but it received a big impetus in development only in 2002, so all the tracks and lifts are new. Routes are added regularly, infrastructure is improving. The length of the tracks is 115 km, most of them are designed for beginner and intermediate difficulty levels. The most popular are green Carosello and red Motolino. There are always a lot of snowboarders here, there are slopes for freeride, halfpipe and boardercross. In Italy, Livigno is included in the tax-free zone, and the goods in the shops are very cheap.

Visitors in the reviews note the funicular, which rises to a height of 2,300 meters, right to the blue and red slopes. The pros move on to Monte della Neve (2,800 meters), where the black slopes begin. Beginners celebrate a simple descent back, group and private lessons are held for them. Most of the lifts in the green and blue sectors are drag lifts. The only warning to future visitors is to calculate the time for the transfer, it takes up to 40 minutes. Ski areas are not connected with each other.

Winter will soon take over the fall, which means it's time to start planning new trips to ski resorts in Europe. Courchevel and - for a long time to everyone famous places, where many of your friends and acquaintances have probably visited. It is much more interesting to explore still unbroken (in every sense of the word!) Directions, a selection of which we have made especially for you.

1. Bansko in Bulgaria

One of the most budgetary mining ski resorts Europe, located at the foot of the Pirin mountain range. The skiing season in Bansko is indecently long: from December to May. Both beginners and professionals of alpine skiing come here to sweep along the slopes with the breeze.

How to get there?

The nearest airports to Bansko are located in and. In addition to the pre-ordered transfer, from both cities to the resort can be reached by public transport... There are direct buses from Sofia to Bansko, and the road from Thessaloniki consists of two stages. First by bus or train to the town of Blagoevgrad, and from there again by bus or taxi to Bansko itself.

Where to stay?

Unlike the resorts of Western Europe, housing prices in Bansko do not bite at all. We recommend stopping near the city center, where the main restaurants and shops are collected. The main thing is not to climb to the northern outskirts of the resort, located away from the ski lifts, if your hotel does not provide a free shuttle to them.

- 160 euros

Other resort activities

If the adrenaline rush on the slopes of Bansko is not enough for you, take the Bansko Safari jeep ride. In addition, in the town itself there are a lot of attractions, including the house-museum of the poet Nikola Vaptsarov and the Church of the Holy Trinity.

First of all, go to national park Triglav, the symbol of which is the mountain of the same name. There is a carved Russian chapel built in memory of the prisoners of war who died under an avalanche during the construction of the road. Take a look at the Perichnik waterfall, which in winter turns into a frozen statue of icicles. One of the coziest european capitals Ljubljana, and on way back stop by the beautiful lake Bled and see mysterious castlelocated at the top of a sheer cliff.

For local legends, go to the mysterious Orava Castle, located in neighboring Slovakia. It is also worth visiting the cozy town of Spišské Podhradie with the remains of the fortress of the same name. In Poland itself, a local gem called Krakow cannot be overlooked.

And do not forget to drop the whole family into local restaurants of national cuisine, where the menu also includes bright folklore performances!

Nearby attractions

Suffice it to say that this resort is located in the mysterious Transylvania for you to understand how beautiful it is! Stroll through the wonderful medieval Brasov and feel as if you are among the scenery for a children's fairy tale in the picturesque town of Sighisoara. Have the courage to ask for a visit to Count Dracula Himself in his feudal castle Bran, and then go to calm your nerves in an elegant royal Palace Peles.

Having dashed through the ski resorts of Europe, I would like to remember that in Russia we also have a lot of such entertainments. One of the most interesting is the "Winter Fairy Tale" train, on which you can rush to the mysterious region of Mountain Shoria and arrange a wonderful snowy weekend on wheels.

All alpine resorts can be divided into several groups. It is clear that this division is conditional, since everyone has their own selection criteria (for someone, for example, only nightclubs are important).

Mountain resorts - some of them are also historical. Striking examples of such resorts are French Chamonix or Swiss Saas-Fee. Such resorts in the summer are the abode of climbers and tourists from all over the world. Thermal resorts - such as Leukerbad in Switzerland or Bad Gastein in Austria. Of course, such resorts also have a rich history, since they originated as “resorts on the waters in the mountains” in the days when they had not heard of alpine skiing. "Pure" ski resorts with skiing on the slopes - these are in many cases mountain villages or cities, next to which there are slopes suitable for mass skiing. And the more slopes there are, the more intensively such resorts developed. These are, for example, Austrian Schladming and resorts near Innsbruck or Italian Cortina d "Ampezzo. But next to freeride resorts prepared slopes and trails can be few, and the opportunities for off-piste skiing are huge. In fact, there are very few such resorts, only the French La Grave is widely known. Much more resorts like San Anton, where there are many trails, and off-piste skiing with convenient access to the slopes is simply gorgeous. And there is more small towns-villages with several tracks... There are many such resorts, and their names may not even be mentioned on the Russian Internet! Do you know why? There is simply no place for Russian skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. No, do not think that in such places they do not like us - on the contrary, we have been convinced of this from our own experience: hospitable hosts, a warm welcome, an invitation to dinner, a sincere interest in the people of Russia - everything is fine. Both to relax and ride here is wonderful.

The fact is that such regions are simply not interesting to our tour operators - their services are not needed by local residents, since all sleeping places during the peak season - at Christmas and New Year, and without intermediaries fly away like hot cakes, the lion's share of vacationers here are residents of that the same country.

What attracts European skiers to such places? After all, there are no hundreds of kilometers of trails, no glaciers, no ultra-modern ultra-fast lifts, no big and loud bars and discos, no streets with shops - nothing that is appreciated by many lovers of winter recreation in the mountains.

Most likely, such cozy places attract many skiers with the possibility of a relaxing holiday with children or friends in a not too crowded place. Fifty - one hundred kilometers of calm (mostly “blue” and “red”) slopes are enough to make a great the winter vacation... As elsewhere in the Alps, these resorts offer ice skating and cross-country skiing, training slopes, toboggan or toboggan runs, and snowshoeing. And there is always a zest that is characteristic of this particular place - a hunting trail for those who hunt with a bow and arrow or a unique ski pass, a spa center or a local landmark, a cheese dairy or an old castle ...

Our story is about several such resorts.

There are two connected ski areas - Helm (Monte Elmo) and Rotwand (Croda Rossa), in total the length of the tracks of the two regions is 93 km. Of course, there are training tracks and slopes, but this region is mainly for skiers and good skiers - wherever you can go to the very bottom (and there are three such places), the lower slopes are black. I am disingenuous: in one place the black goes around the blue. But with such excellent snow conditions, blacks are not a problem even for intermediate skiers. In the morning it is better to ride on Helme - it's sunny here, and after lunch or coffee - on Rotwand.

There is no freeride in Sesto at all, the main charm of this region, like many others small resorts - high-speed skiing on trails laid in a dense coniferous forest.

There are few people in the whole region, and the tracks are perfectly prepared. It seemed to us that, unlike other small regions, Sesto has more red and black tracks. Moreover, Rotwand - Croda Rossa has officially the steepest track in Italy. Steep, hard, smooth, deserted - for lovers of such trails, just a candy.

In the neighboring village of Sesto - Moos (1 km by ski bus), the Sport Kurhotel Bad Moos has a wonderful spa complex with specialists in wellness, saunas and other ugly things. Prices are very soft by Moscow standards. You just need to take into account that specialists in massage, stones, hay, and other things, begin work around 1 pm, and you need to sign up in advance. From this hotel to the track and ski lift 10 meters.

In Sesto itself there is a small cheese dairy with a shop - if you like the freshest and very tasty cheese, be sure to visit. Straight along ski slopes there is a long toboggan run - take a ride, it's really cool.

Prices in the region are relatively low. The fact is that Sesto is not only a little-known resort, but also a kind of "controversial" territory since the First World War, so the Italian authorities do not raise issues of tighter taxation.

You can get here by train, although the logistics will not be too easy (changes and travel times). Better to rent a car.

Monte Rosa, Aosta Valley, Italy

In fact, there are three valleys in this region - Gressoney, Alanya-Valsesia and Ayas, which are connected by tracks with a total length of about 150 km. There are small towns (rather, villages) in all three valleys. In the Ayas Valley - the town of Champoluc, in Gressoney - Gressoney Saint Jean, Gressoney la Trinité and Stafale, in Alanya - Alanya.

It's very beautiful upstairs. The Monte Rosa massif consists of four-thousanders, and the panoramas from the upper stations of the ski lifts are magnificent. But the main thing is skating. In addition to trails of all categories of difficulty, there is excellent off-piste skiing, and in many places you can ride parallel to the prepared tracks, which is very convenient for a company of friends with different levels of skiing.

Another highlight of Monte Rosa - with the exception of the Italian New Year holidays, the slopes here are almost empty, and fresh snow outside the pistes is “painted” in a few days, not hours, as in famous resorts. There is even heli-skiing (the base is in the Ayas valley), which is a rarity in Europe. There is an avalanche hazard in this area, so you need to be especially careful when skiing off-piste.

In terms of the difficulty of skiing, Alanya is in first place, skiing on the slopes of the Gressoney Valley is somewhat easier (and more varied), and the most comfortable slopes are in Ayas. With regard to accommodation, the opposite is true: the largest selection of après-ski, restaurants and children's schools is in Champoluc, there is a luggage room here under the lift - "deposit" - you leave your skis and boots to dry. The choice of restaurants and bars in Gressoney and Alanya is limited, the towns are small. But on the other hand, in Gressoney la Trinity, skating "from the door" Saint Jean is located lower along the valley, you will have to take a bus to the ski lift.

The biggest problem here - there is a chance too late to go down "not to your valley", after that you will either have to use a taxi (which will not be cheap), or spend the night in one of the hotels - to get from the valley to the valley without skis, you need to drive a couple of hundred kilometers.

The closest way to get here is from Turin (just over 100 km). From Champoluc by train to Verres station, to Gressoney to Point Saint Martin, then in both cases by bus or taxi.

Flachau, Salzburgerland, Austria

Small town at low altitude. In fact, there are several ski areas connected by buses or tracks nearby: Flachau, Flachauwinkl, Radstadt, Altenmarkt, Wagrain, Zauchensee, and you can quickly reach any of them without a car. Each of the resorts has several tens of kilometers of tracks, most of which are blue and red. There is also a large stash park in Flachauwinkle, and parks, and serious tracks where World Cup competitions are held. If you wish, you can send your children (or even learn yourself) to the school of the famous Hermann Mayer (in Flachau) or the world champion Michael Walchhofer in Zauchensee.

Almost all trails in this region are laid in the forest and protected from the wind. All resorts are perfectly suited for skiing families with children, but there are no large spa centers here, although some hotels (for example, Zauchensee Central) have swimming pools. So if you want to diversify skiing with rest in a large water center, you will need to go to the Gasteinertal valley (less than an hour by car).

In the evening, you can stroll through the tiny village - like everywhere else, shops alternate with bars and restaurants, or take a ride along the toboggan track. After skiing, you can drive to Altenmarkt - a pretty town that looks like an old resort. Do not miss the café in the center, on the bend of the main street, for excellent coffee.

The easiest way to get here is from Salzburg (you can take the train to Radstatt, and then take a taxi or bus), but Munich is also close.

This secluded ski resort lies 120 km from Innsbruck. Nauders has perfectly prepared tracks for all levels of skiing. What is especially attractive is the widest, perfectly visible ski area in "blue-red colors", turning into black high-speed or comfortable amateur tracks. It is convenient to ride here with children or a company - it is impossible to get lost.

In addition to broad open tracks there are also picturesque ones, hidden in a coniferous forest, there is also a place for off-piste skiing lovers.

As an alternative leisure activity, Nauders has a magnificent 8 km toboggan run. Driving with a company is an unforgettable pleasure, and the children are just delighted. Nauders is generally perfect for families with children, for the smallest there is a children's area, for those who are older - interesting park with jumps of varying difficulty. If you wish, you can find a Russian-speaking instructor.

A large restaurant with delicious cuisine and humane prices right in the center of the mountain provides free Wi-Fi.

You can live in Nauders itself or nearby towns. The ski area is located at the level of 1 400-2 850 m, however, getting to the resort is very comfortable, the road is rather gentle, without steep serpentines. We easily got there without chains even in the strongest snowfall, while, for example, in Samnaun, which is only 23 km away, you just can't get there.

By the way, Nauders is on the border three countries: Austria, Switzerland and Italy. If you want to change the atmosphere, you can visit the ski resorts of these countries, it will take you from half an hour to one and a half hours to get there. The nearest resorts: Samnaun (Switzerland), Serfaus (Austria), Livigno (Italy). Each of the resorts has its own charm, for example, Samnaun - combined with the Austrian Ischgl largest resort, is, among other things, a duty-free zone.

And finally: only 90 km away is the famous thermal complex Aqua Dome, which is not far from Sölden. After skating for a week, visit this place, give your tired body a day off.

The closest way to get here is from Innsbruck Airport, however, flights to Munich may be cheaper.

Each of us presents his long-awaited and unspeakably desired vacation in his own way. Calm, comfortable and in all respects "warm" pastime on the seashore, among green palm trees, golden sand and radiant sun - this is the best option for recreation for those who are tired of hard working days and want peace and quiet. But if the pursued goal is to get adrenaline and unforgettable, vivid emotions, then the best ski resorts in Europe - exactly what you need.

The Sölden ski resort is located in Austria and is considered one of the most popular destinations for ski holiday... The height of Sölden is 1377 m, and the total length of the tracks is 144 km. The resort has two stations: upper and lower. This place cannot be called serene and serene, there is always fun and delight.

As you know, the basis for skiing is snow, or rather, its abundance. Therefore, if you have chosen such a ski resort as Sölden, then there will be no problems with a lack of snow, because two glaciers (Tiefenbach and Rettenbach) located here will eliminate any troubles. By the way, the glaciers of this holiday destination are considered one of the largest glaciers in all of Austria, which is why Sölden is so famous and attractive. The resort "does not stand still". It is characterized by constant development, the opening of new trails for skiing, and at the bottom of some slopes you will be greeted by stunning snow cannons.

Davos has been a ski resort for a long time, and it received this proud title back in the days when skiing was not so popular. It is famous for being a member of the Best of the Alps club along with some of the other famous resorts in Switzerland. The city is the highest located in Europe.

Davos can be called the cleanest ski resort in Europe, because people came here to enrich themselves with mountain air back in the 19th century. It is still believed that the climate of this wonderful place heals all diseases and brings peace of mind. The skiing altitude ranges from 1560 to 2844 m, and the length of all tracks is 320 km. Nearby is at least famous resort Klosters, with which Davos offers as many as 6 ski areas. Tourists come here not only for the descent from the snowy mountain, but also for cozy rest in local restaurants and cafes.

Relatively young, but rather actively developing and gaining more and more popularity among tourists from all over the world. The height of Gudauri is 2196 m, and the length of ski trails is 16 km. Lifts rise to a height of just over 3000 m. To the top of the mountain, from which you can see a magnificent landscape.

The technical equipment of the resort is new and modern, and all this thanks to the work of the Austrians. The skiing season opens in November and ends in May. Poiana Brasov in Romania

Here you will find 12 trails with a total length of 14 km, dozens of ski jumps and modern chair lifts. The town will please you with its excellent ecology, nature, clean, mountainous air and wonderful landscapes. There is a place to ride for both professionals and beginners.

When I was in Brasov, I shot a short video about the castle of Count Dracula, which is located nearby. In general, in Romania, everything is in order with cool castles - there are a lot of them, and if you are in a car, there is always something to see in addition to skiing. And Brasov itself is not a city, but a fairy tale. I still reproach myself for not writing an article for a blog about this city.

For active recreation, there are several artificial skating rinks, riding centers, sports grounds, swimming pools and saunas. In addition, the resort's infrastructure is complemented by restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy the national Romanian cuisine and watch bright shows of musicians and dancers.

The resort offers vacationers to settle in budget hotels, but remember that the higher the season, the more expensive. A vacation with a classic set of standard services will cost you three hundred euros. For a ski pass (week) you will have to pay 60 euros for an adult and 39 euros for a child.

Reviews: France or Romania?

Many of my friends used to vacation in France, but I can tell right away that the resorts of this country are much more expensive than the Romanian ones. Despite the fact that the latter are absolutely not inferior in quality of slopes and lifts. Of course, I will not judge the places where I have not been, but nevertheless, Poiana Brasov, I recommend that you visit in order to form your own impression of this skiing.
