Tien Shan

Tien Shan ("Heavenly Mountains") is a mountain range located in Central and Central Asia. The main part of the Tien Shan is in Kyrgyzstan, the northern and western ridges in Kazakhstan, and the southwestern part of the Tien Shan in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Geographically, the Tien Shan mountains are divided into regions:

  • Northern (Kyrgyz ridge, Kungey-Alatau, Ketmen, Chu-Ili mountains, Zailiyskiy Alatau and Issyk-Kul)
