Da Nang: attractions and excursions. Danang landmarks, central vietnam Cham culture museum

We combined Hoi An, Hue and Da Nang in one article, because these cities are located in Central Vietnam, and most likely, if you decide, for example, to visit Hue, then Da Nang will interest you. Also, these cities are usually visited by those who do not have enough beach holidays in Vietnam, who are interested in the history of the country, want to see the architectural monuments preserved from ancient times.

We can say that visiting these cities will be interesting both as part of a tour, for example from Nha Trang, and for independent travelers.

Hoain is a city where one day is enough, but it is important that you see it in the evening. This city, cozy in every sense, is very romantic, because in the evening, everything shines in lanterns, the shapes and colors of which are very different.

Every street and house in Hoi An is of interest as the city was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. You have a unique opportunity to walk along the streets and roads that are hundreds of years old.

You can visit the beach, which is near the city, which can be reached by bike. In general, cycling is a popular form of transport in Hoi An, and traffic is quieter here than in other cities in Vietnam.

Be sure to visit Hoi An Market, which is not only a place to buy fruit or taste real Vietnamese food, but also a popular stroll. There are boats near the market where you can ride on the river.

Our rating of Hoi An is 5/5, but it is advisable to see it not only during the day, but also in the evening, at least for the sake of the romantic atmosphere that will surround you. True, modern music from numerous cafes will also be heard on the street.

Da Nang landmarks

Da Nang is the largest city in Vietnam, second only to the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This is a city where tourists rarely come, vacationing in Vietnam on tourist vouchers, rather here you can find independent travelerswho study the country and its cities.

Nevertheless, Da Nang has everything to please the tourist. There are numerous cafes and hotels, a beautiful promenade along which they like to walk in the evening locals.

The embankment itself is notable for the fact that unobtrusive background music plays here in the evening; along the embankment there are many benches on which you can admire beautiful bridges Da Nang. It's really relaxing.

Not far from Da Nang there is a cable car, which until 2010 was entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest and highest in the world. Its length is more than 5 thousand meters (5042.62), and its height is 1291.81 meters. It is located in the Ba Na Hills complex.

Hai Van Pass

Another attraction for travelers who are not enough beach holiday... It is better to get here by rented transport, then you will have a lot of time to enjoy the greatness of Vietnam's nature, return to the time when there was a war in Vietnam and see the destruction that it brings.

The pass itself, in addition to excellent landscapes and a dangerous road, includes a small tourist stop where you can buy souvenirs and drink tea.

In our opinion, if you drive a motorcycle well, then it is better to rent it in Da Nang and go to the pass using Google maps.

But, if you are looking for a more relaxed journey, then you can buy an open top jeep tour. There will be no less impressions from the trip, but the trip will also be safer. Also, a guided trip will be more informative as you will most likely be told about the climatic features of the Hai Van pass, as well as its significance during the war.

Marble Mountains

Visiting the Marble Mountains is a must, but if you go here as part of a tour, for example from Da Nang or Hoi An, then ask how much time you will have on the excursion. At least you need to lay 4 hours, and even then it will be quite short.

You can climb the mountains on foot or by lift, for which you will need to pay a small amount. We would advise you to take the elevator and go down on foot. But even on the descent, you most likely come to rest more than once, because go quite a long time. Therefore, it may be worth using the elevator on the way back.

A visit to the Marble Mountains is primarily a visit to spiritual places, here you will meet many pilgrims, in the caves, in addition to tourists, there will be many local residents, for whom this is not an attraction, but a holy place, a temple where they came to pray.
