The history of Boca Chica is only a few decades old, so the resort cannot offer its guests any special attractions. The most interesting place in the city is Calle Duarte, where most of the entertainment establishments are concentrated.
You should definitely go diving in Boca Chica: the region here is ideal for a diving debut, and in the La Caleta underwater park there are two wrecks! Despite the fact that the age of the city is more than 500 years, it is also not very rich in sights: living a quiet life of a hard worker, La Romana has been known throughout its history as a center for processing sugar cane. Nevertheless, there are several interesting places in the vicinity of the resort that are worth visiting. For example, the village of artisans and artists Altos de Chavon. Its construction was completed only in the 1990s, but all buildings in it correspond to the canons of 16th century Italian architecture. The picturesque area (elevation above the gorge) and man-made beauty often attract newlyweds here for a wedding ceremony.
